Special Congressional Election in FL-19 has National Implications
by Edward LynchWith the resignation of hyper-partisan progressive Robert Wexler from Congress last October, a Special Election for the vacated congressional seat in FL-19 was set by Governor Crist for this coming April 13th. There’s a good chance you haven’t yet heard anything about this race, but ours is the next federal election that will be held in the country. And with the House Democratic Caucus now deciding the fate of Obamacare behind closed doors, it goes without saying that our Special Election takes on newfound importance, as every last vote in the House of Representatives can be the decisive one.

For those of you unfamiliar with our congressional district, the FL-19 district encompasses Broward and Palm Beach counties, from West Palm Beach up north to Tamarac down south. FL-19 has one of the highest concentrations of senior citizens in the country, and it’s a district where Democrats have a 2-1 voter registration advantage over Republicans. The voter registration stats in the District are 50% Democrat, 25% Republican, and the remaining 25% are registered Independent.
But several major factors can negate Democrats’ structural advantages in this race. The first is the fact that special elections almost always have substantially lower turnout— approximately 15% of your typical Presidential election, making success in this race heavily dependent upon whose side is most engaged and enthusiastic. Second, more than any demographic, seniors are opposed to Obamacare by nearly a 2-1 margin by virtue of the fact that their access to our health care system is directly jeopardized by the proposed $500 billion cuts to Medicare over the next 10 years. But the most important factor is obvious- with the outcome of President Obama’s government takeover of the health care system potentially at stake, and with the increased significance of every House vote, our race should now attract increased attention from concerned citizen activists across the country. While we don’t know exactly when the House vote on Obamacare will commence, it is entirely possible that a vote could take place after April 13th, and my vote is an affirmative “NAY” vote against Obamacare.
In addition to the prevailing political currents in our favor, there are 110,000 registered Republicans in District 19.
Combine that figure with an increasing number of independents and disenfranchised Democrats that are not happy with Obama agenda, and all of a sudden we have the makings of an upset. If we can simply turn out just half of the registered Republican vote, we will win. We are very fortunate to have some of the most committed activists from across the country come down to our district to walk precincts and volunteer on our behalf. They know that a victory for this seat would not only reverberate across country – it could very well be the final nail in Obamacare’s coffin. Stay tuned to this space for frequent campaign updates in the lead up to our election on April 13th, and please visit our website www.electlynch.com if you are interested in finding out more about me or contributing to our campaign.

The seniors that live in south Florida, or anywhere else for that matter, are life long Democrats…The only way to change that is to expose Obama and his criminal administration as communists and socialists…I'm sure many of the seniors would change their voting affiliation, if the GOP would campaign hard, and be HONEST about how they are going to govern!!!
The seniors in south Florida and everywhere else for that matter, are life long Democrats…the GOP needs to go down there and be HONEST about how they will govern, and try to change the way they ( the seniors ) have been thinking all these years…
Is this the same election that has Roach running for the Democrats?
Isn't that name so indicative of liberals?
Hopefull a Republican can win this district, Lt Colonel Allen West takes Klein's old seat and then we can work on getting rid of Debbie Wasserman Schultz. What a great trifecta for South Florida, the state of Florida and the country as a whole. Remove all progressives ( both Democrat and Republican ) in 2010 and 2012.
Ed is a crook and a thief who ripped off the VA. don't wast anytime on him in this D+15 district he'll lose because that's what losers do!
The resignation of Robert Wexler, all by itself, is ample cause for nation-wide celebrations …
May God Bless you Ed Lynch and Allen West. It's time for a change. Pray
I agree. Nasty little creatures I won't tolerate in my house and need to be eradicated at any cost. Along with those cockroaches too.
I have been praying for this nation, it seems like it's the only left to do. Every time I open biggovernment.com I have to be prepared to cringe as I keep thinking I'm going to see "IT passed" and then I know it will be the end of times after this taking control of us will be easy.
Instead of making baseless accusations, please provide source(s) for your accusation. Until then please continue trolling along.
Good Luck and God Bless.
Time to find out who's is running and hit the bat phones and send money.

The "Elect Lynch" link at the end of the post leads to a "404" at Big Government. It needs to be edited.
Meanwhile, good luck, Mr. Lynch!
Hmmm. Who gave you a downcheck for saying that?
Come on Florida…………Massachusetts sent a message to washington………now it is your turn……….Stand up and be counted…………
Remember it was West Palm Beach that had that little bit of voting trouble that one year. Difficulties with the interface between the machine and the booth, it's a common problem in a state with so many seniors.
I thought we were done wiht this crap!! There must be soem big money on the table because Pelosi, Obama and thier gang just won't let this go away.
"An affirmative Nay vote against Obamacare" is almost as torturous a sentence as having to listen to Al Franken in the well; but not quite.
You've got my support Mr. Lynch.
Prove it, link it or shove it.
I like your platform

If your the real deal I hope you win hands down.
That is a false statement. Senior voters tend to vote the same as they did before they were seniors. As a senior I have never voted for a Democrat in my life, beginning with my first election where I voted for Barry Goldwater.
I do agree that the GOP candidate needs to be honest with the voters, an impossible task for a Democrat.
It's been two hours, Erik, show what you're rollin…or are you trollin?
This is a message for all who represent us in Washington.

Hate to tell you this but there are significant numbers of seniors that are not 'life-long Democrats'. I have been following, and participating in politics since the early 1950's. I have yet to find a Democrat worthy of my support or vote. The Democrats have a fatal flaw. Their smoke screens of magic smoke and mirrors does not hide their progressivism. They are little more than statists trying establish total government control over our each and every action. Unfortunately too many Republicans have been swayed by the same disease which lead to their losses in 2006 and 2008. On the positive side Republicans are more willing to adopt the political philosophy(ies) of the TEA organizations. Democrats, in stark contrast, have not only pretended to be deaf but have also engaged in vicious character assassination of any that disagrees with them.
Hey, you appeared on Red Eye With Greg Gutfeld. That makes you OK in my book!
(The fact that you once did a security gig for Ted Nugent is a sweet bonus!)
What I meant was that the seniors in south Florida are from the 'union states' and they still have the idea, that democrats are 'for the people' …something that has never really been truthful…but, of course unions have somehow been able to convince them of this..
If Mr. Lynch is sincere in his beliefs as stated on his web site, I don't think you go wrong in voting for him. I live in Florida District 7, represented by a solid Republican, John Mica. Would love to see the great state of Florida add several more members of the GOP yo our Congressional delegation in 2010.
Don't forget ousting Grayson too!
Wasserman-Schultz, Wexler, and especially Grayson are embarrassments to our state – time to add them to the unemployment statistics! We need to pay attention to the Governor's race as well, especially after the high-speed rail debacle. I'm thinking Paula Dockery would be effective in the Governor's office to derail that mess.
Hey, we're trying! Doing our best to send Rubio to DC and bounce "Mr. Orange" out of office for good as well.
Broward County has the fifth largest Jewish community in the country. The county's Jewish population is 234,000. Palm Beach County has 4th-largest Jewish population in U.S. The county’s Jewish population is 255,550.
Maybe Obama's Middle East policies could also play over into the special election.
Debbie is Chuck Schumer South.
Let's free her up to be the next Demo talking head on cable.
LOL, MR Orange, ………….saw him on tv the other day, he was less orange than usual,
thought maybe someone had clued him in, the George Hamilton look wasn't working.
My husband and I are two seniors from Fl. who after 50 years as democrats changed to republican within the last year.
Thanks for his website….We will be sending him a donation!!…Hopefully
Piglosi won't get the votes by next weekend…
Wexler sold out Fl at the RBC meeting, ensuring an Obama nomination at the Convention. District 19 has been at the mercy of this self-centered, arrogant, narcissistic idealogue for many years. Glad he's gone.
As for Wasserman-Schultz, she sold her soul to the Dems to preserve Party support. Frankly, she was bought on the cheap as she doesn't appear to have profited in any way.
Wexler, the raging madman's every vote should be expunged. He was a fraud, living in Maryland, and supposedly representing a district in Florida. How disingenuous can one get? Is there nothing too crooked for the democrats to not approve?

Old people don't realize their loyalty to the Democratic party is misplaced. Their party has been hijacked by progressives. Their party is now socialist.
Can you provide more information on this? take care
