Union Radicals Harass Teacher Who Dared to Support Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker
by Education Action GroupKENOSHA – Apparently there’s no room for free thought or disagreement within the Wisconsin Education Association Council.
We suppose that’s not terribly surprising for a group that has to force its members to join.
Still, it’s troubling to hear that Kristi LaCroix, the courageous public school teacher who had the guts to film a television ad supporting Gov. Scott Walker’s reforms, is being harassed by union zealots to the point where she wants to change careers.
LaCroix, who teaches at Lakeview Technology Academy in the Kenosha school district, recently posted the following on her Facebook page, according a news story from WISN 1130:
“Going through and deleting my daily amount of hate mail that is sent to my work email. I have now been assured, by one of the emails (all of which I forward to my Principal) that there is an online movement called ‘Fire Kristi‘ where they are going to email, post and talk to everyone (telling) millions of stories to ruin my reputation, career and life.
“Kind of hard to keep my head up with stuff like this. I have said for a couple of years that I really need to leave teaching. I think that it is time for me to move on.”
Here’s a sample of an email that’s been sent to LaCroix:
“On Facebook there are lots of people willing to join the Fire Kristi movement. You are alone in a wilderness. Your financial help from the likes of the Koch brothers will dry up once your liabilities outweigh your assets, which will be very soon. Your best bet is to start a job search soon. Enjoy your isolation.”
Teachers unions and bullying
Now wait just a minute. We could have sworn we recently read something about teachers unions in various states working to curb school bullying.
Apparently they don’t practice what they preach.
Some moron who runs the website “Free Wisconsin” (myplayfulself.com) describes LaCroix and other teachers who have the courage to speak out as “a minuscule minority of teachers (mostly female and blond).” Are all male WEAC supporters (or members) this openly sexist?
He also identified the member of the Waukesha school board (Karen Rajnicek) who appeared in another Walker ad, and published her address and phone number, obviously to encourage prank calls and harassment.
The disgusting people attacking LaCroix and Rajnicek are probably the same folks who threatened business owners who refused to put anti-Walker signs in their windows, or who terrorized the Catholic elementary school in Milwaukee where Walker read to children earlier this year.
These are some of the same folks, by the way, who “teach” thousands of Wisconsin children every day.
If Big Labor is known for anything, it’s lowering itself to whatever disgusting level is necessary to get what it wants. In the world of collective bargaining and group think, the end always justified the means, regardless of how nasty the tactics might be.
We find it interesting that union members want to get LaCroix fired, yet scream bloody murder when anyone mentions the possibility of firing incompetent teachers. Union leaders and radical union teachers are all about self-preservation. They are not about quality education or the best interests of students.
We believe the people of Wisconsin are starting to figure that out, due largely to outrageous behavior like the constant harassment of a teacher who dares to disagree with the almighty WEAC.
A teacher with the courage to speak out
Teachers like LaCroix do not turn against their unions for the fun of it. They do so after years of watching a very political, power-hungry organization suck the life out of public schools and kill opportunities for students.
LaCroix is one of those teachers who just wants to teach, without the constant distraction of organized labor. Consider the following from her Facebook page:
“I have sat by for my 14 years and have been saddened by the amount of non-learning that is allowed to take place in our school. The unions are destroying public education and it makes me sick that these are the people who represent the teachers who are wonderful, do a good job and are a vital part of childrens’ lives.
“I just don’t fit in the education system. I would like to actively search for a new job where I can still work with kids and not have to work for public education. I just want a classroom, students and to be left alone to teach.”
You’re absolutely right, Ms. LaCroix. You do not fit into a public education system that in many cities has become little more than a financial grab bag for multi-million dollar teachers unions. You do not fit into a system that protects incompetent teachers and fails to reward excellent ones.
But you do sound like a dedicated educator who cares about kids. That means you would probably fit quite nicely into a charter or private school. And perhaps someday, when taxpayers reclaim their schools from the self-serving unions, you can go back and work in public schools that are focused solely on the single issue that should concern them – student learning.

Every single person that threatened her, and especially the ones that gave out her personal information should be in jail for a LONG time.
And right behind them – any union leader, principle or other management that DIDN'T fire those threatening first. What happens if management doesn't get rid of a sexual harasser that they KNOW about – they get fined/jail also for letting it go.
Illegal is illegal – "political" doesn't "all of the sudden" make threats legal.
The Union thugs will probably beat her up and break her legs.
Pitiful isn't it? Try and break from the "collective" and you get the Chicago style political way dumped on your door step, both at work and at home.
And just think, the Unions will be controlling many of the voting machines in this next election cycle. Not very comforting is it?
The actions of unions are just like the beat downs, threats, and terrorism of the old kkk, brownshirts, etc. Every rulling class needs their enforcers, indoctrinators and social engineers and the unions do seem to be ready to fill the role.

They shouldn't tolerate this any more then tolerate bullying in the school. Anyone caught threatening her should be fired and prosecuted. Not going to happen because they protect "their own". I hope they don't chase her out because they will consider that a win. I guess it's not "all about the children" as they like to claim.
The union is seeking a rapist on Craigslist to "educate" her about left wing tolerance. It's how the lower half operates.

I'm not a fan of "national legislation," but I think I could support legislation that outlaws public sector unions. All of them, in one fell swoop. If any of the unionistas walk off their jobs in protest, FIRE THEM. Replace them with people who just want to serve their communities for the sake of the community.
Kristi do not give up your profession. Instead look for a job in a private school where you will not be forced to join a union. Although private schools will not have the kind of lush salaries and benefits, you will be treated with respect and appreciated in an environment where education is the goal and not indoctrination of the students to a liberal agenda. If you decide to endure your environment in public schooling, stand tall and strong and join up with other conservative teachers for moral support. Document all threats and tell authorities. That means police. It might feel like everyone is against you but they are not. The unions are thugs. And those that write you are a small minority of demented people. There are far more supporters of you that are silent not writing you than you could know. Be strong and know we care and applaud you.

It's funny the WEAC would want to play the "leak information" game considering most if not all of their personal data is sitting on just a few discs within my reach from yeast infection prescriptions to where their 401's are to what and where they invest…they should reconsider, or at least hire someone that knows how to maintain a firewall correctly if they're going to go down this path.

So this woman would like to support the demise of collective bargaining and thinks that no one should be allowed to take her to task for it. This is really pretty tame stuff. I think she deserves a free trip to a firearms school like Gunsite, shiny new Kimber Compact. 45 and a concealed carry permit. Then the NRA should do an 'I am the NRA' ad with her as the representative. Finally, insure the Teacher's Union reps get 1,000 copies of the ad.
There is no real need for collective bargaining, instead individual bargaining is both easier to handle and more financial feasible as it handled individually, instead of a group of morons.
Besides, the unions are out of date, uncompetitive, and have poor work ethic. I do support this teacher for standing what she believes in and to go against the corrupt unions.

My kids go to charter schools here in CA due to the abhorrent conditions in public schooling (we tried it but got them out of public schools as soon as we could). Ms LaCroix would do well to check out charter schools, where she can teach and be free from the forced indoctrination imbedded in the public school system.
It is way past the time to rescind President Kennedy's 1968 Executive order 10988 allowing unions in the public sector. Unions have morphed into socialist organizations that are strangling state and local governments with outrageously expensive contracts. If the current aim of public sector unions was to improve the working conditions of the employees there would be no problems but, at the bargaining table the taxpayer has no representation so the union bribes the elected officials and they get what they want. Needless to say there is greed and corruption on both sides and the taxpayer gets the shaft.
In the past unions did play an important role but that time has passed. Unions are, in no small part, responsible for the decimation of the manufacturing industry in America. Now that the manufacturing jobs and workers are gone, they have set their sites on other sectors of private industry and are systematically killing them off with outrageous demands for pay and benefits.
