Occupy-Linked Hacker Group Anonymous Releases Survival Guide For Violent Revolution

At the same time hacker group Anonymous was hacking Stratfor Global Intelligence and now a second veterans’ owned website which sells military-inspired merchandise, giving part of their proceeds to charity, they were also circulating what they call “a snapshot of what Anonymous thinks will be useful for your survival in case of a violent revolution in your country.” The 15 page document is available here via Scribd. The excerpt below is the foreword for the document. As website Zerohedge notes, one or two hacks of system critical financial institutions could easily produce widescale chaos, setting the stage for any number of significant events of this nature.
This Guide is for civilians who feel they are about to be caught up in a violent uprising or revolution to overthrow the oppressive government of their country. Although a revolution in favor of the people is a joyful thing when seen from the outside, it can be a bloody mess for those inside it. This guide will give you some basic ideas and tips for how you and your friends/neighbors/family can stay safe in the violent turmoil around you. It is not a ready-made recipe, but it contains general survival tactics and strategies.
Don’t panic, stay cool headed. • Take a break and rest if your body needs to relax, lack of sleep is a major weakening factor. • Avoid consuming mind altering substances like alcohol and drugs. They will cloud yourand act rationally. You are also arming the regime with propaganda that the crowd is made up of a bunch of intoxicated rioters. Perhaps also of note, New York Times best selling author Michael Thomas was predicting violence on behalf of the Occupy movement in a December 26 opinion item at the Daily Beast, though there’s nothing to suggest the two developments are at all linked.
But it won’t just end with taxes. When the great day comes, Wall Street will pray for another Pecora, because compared with the rough beast now beginning to strain at the leash, Pecora will look like Phil Gramm. Humiliation and ridicule, even financial penalties, will be the least of the Street’s tribulations. There will be prosecutions and show trials. There will be violence, mark my words. Sufficient ammo for both types of weapons – 10,000 rounds for each type plus reloading eqpt..
Several types of knives for in close work and skinning game.
Several quality compasses.
High quality binoculars for both day and night use.
Sufficient dried food for six months.
Quality first aid gear with plenty of pain and water purification tablets.
Quality camping gear – tent, sleeping bag, water proofed outer shells for both tent and bag, entrenching tool,
Quality clothing for outdoor survival and lots of cotton and wool socks.
Survival saw, giant well designed back pack, and most importantly great walking boots.
Fire starter equipment and lots of butane lighters.
Small flashlights and pen lights with batteries.
Small groups of individuals – 10 to 15 who have similar tng and background.
Escape route to remote areas or mountains with water and cover.
Plenty of maps. Recommend high quality and most current possible.
Mountain climbing gear – ropes, etc.
If family members are included, similar gear.
Don't count on being able to use motorized transport. A mule and some saddles horses work best.
And that's the short list.
It will be like shooting Zombie's & you don't have to aim for the head!! It will be great sport.

Your list is assuming there will be an apocalyptic event. These dolts don't have the stomach to start something that major. They can't go a week without a latte'. Sure, they'll trash a few businesses and cause a commotion in some cities, but when they reach a neighborhood (if they last that long) with a few hunters or gun owners living there the story will change toot sweet.

I read it, its a very good guide. Alot of it is word for word with what all the SHTF websites talk about. It was mostly common sense stuff, and i'd be willing to bet that allot of the beans, bullets, bullion crowd would actually appriciate the content and purpose of the document.
I found the majority of the guide to be tone neutral, with the back end being geared toward survivalbility tactics for a protestor who expects to get into it with the police.
I'm still undecided on the whole OWS and Anon thing. In this era anything is possible, from grass roots movements of people who truly beleive they are in the right, all the way up to government created psyops that create a "movement" to distract everyone from the guy behind the curtain. I trust nothing that comes from the media and it takes too much friggin time to parse through youtube videos and articles to get an accurate honest picture of anything.
