Only 39 percent of Americans now believe President Barack Obama deserves to be reelected, according to a Gallup poll conducted Oct. 14-17.
That’s likely why Obama is doing what many do when they find themselves in such deep trouble – running home to Chicago for a hug from Rahm. Now, there’s a disturbing thought.
WASHINGTON (AP) – A White House official says President Barack Obama will headline a Democratic rally in Chicago on the final weekend before Election Day.

I think 39% is being very generous. I don't know anyone – even those who voted for the fool – that think has done anything but make things worse.

All I can say is that people I know who were very boisterous Obama supporters a couple of years ago are now speaking in hushed tones about him, if at all. Unfortunately there are too many people who bought into the idea that somehow, a half-term Senator who never really voted on anything was going to fix everything. In the end, he fooled them all.

You know it's curious I sure am getting a lot of down dings around here lately.
If you know me or look at my post history you will find I am probably on of the most conservative people on this board, vehemently anti progressive, decidedly supportive of TPM and vigilant for sock puppets and infiltrators.
Yet lately I have been trying to advise caution and reason in dealing with the coming election cycle; to point out the realities and the good and bad points of what we expect to happen.
I sure am getting a lot of negative feedback. Case in point here.

I pointed out an unfortunate but exceedingly true negative, and the fact is seeing the destruction wrought on our society so far by the far left radicals, the corporate elitists, the political machines, the MSM and the apathetic left leaning voting public makes me sick to my stomach. Sorry CM I am not fucking laughing, this is serious, dead fucking serious.
We are entering one of the larger battles in what is going to turn out to be a long difficult process, a war in fact. Lot of people around here acting as if the war is all but won.
