Massachusetts Is the Game Changer
by Dick MorrisBeyond a pleasing sight for the heart, what would Ted Kennedy’s seat going Republican really mean?
A lot.
First, there would be the psychological effect.
On Democratic donors — it would discourage them from opening their checkbooks. On Republican donors — the impact would be electric in kindling their interest and generosity. On Democratic incumbents seeking re-election — it would make the beaches and golf courses that await them in their Florida retirement homes (and the lucrative lobbying jobs in Washington) infinitely more attractive. On Republicans considering running for the House and the Senate — it will help them see the truth: That their time is at hand! (It might even help our esteemed Party Chairman Michael Steele, realize that we can capture both houses this year!)

But in the Senate itself, it would really signal the end of Obama’s legislative dominance. He’ll probably be able to pass health care either by Democratic dithering in certifying Brown’s election or by ramming through the bill while he’s en route to Washington on the shuttle.
But, beyond that, the prospects of getting 60 votes on the remaining items in Obama’s legislative agenda: cap and trade, union card check, and immigration reform would slip away with the Massachusetts result.
He cannot govern through reconciliation (passing bills with 51 votes by pretending they are just budget bills). If it were that easy, why would Harry Reid have worked so hard – and so successfully – to bribe Senators Landrieu (D-La), Lincoln (D-Ark) and Nelson (D-Neb)? Why would he have caved in to the demands of Connecticut’s Joseph Lieberman and discarded the public option much to the chagrin of his House colleagues?
A victory for Scott Brown would represent the Gettysburg of the Obama Administration – its high water mark, its tipping point.
But even more corrosive for Obama and the Democrats is the knowledge that nobody is safe from Republican assault. If the GOP can win a Senate seat in the People’s Republic of Massachusetts, it can win anywhere, anytime, against anyone. Long term Democratic incumbents from largely Republican districts would have to rethink their loyalty to Reid and Pelosi. Particularly in the House, it will be ever more difficult to round up majorities for Administration bills. Politicians will start running for cover and hiding in the cloakrooms.
Democrats will try to spin their defeat by blaming their candidate, Martha Coakley, for not campaigning hard enough. They will say that they lost because their base did not turn out and that the solution is to pass ever more radical legislation in the hopes of rekindling their fervor. But losing Massachusetts, on top of Virginia and New Jersey, will convince even the most loyal Democrat that the handwriting is, indeed, on the wall.
For all of these reasons, please make an effort today to telephone or e-mail any friends, family or colleagues you know in Massachusetts to urge them to come out and vote for Scott Brown. There is so very much at stake!

I hope Breitbart has folks on the ground observing the Mass ACORN offices.
Let's hope and pray that Acorn doesn't get their dirty hands on the election results. The Obama administration doesn't care what we Americans want. I pray that we can re-take this country from the Democrats.
Attention Mass residents: Capture video, pictures of any vans, buses you see at the polls. If this goes to Coakley, the Scott Brown team will need to be reviewing to make sure the vote was not compromised. It may be close and it is essential to have good documentation. Go to the polls with a friend or two for safety. Be careful! Know that the rest of the nation supports you now and we will make the changes in November!
Yes, Jose, your concerns are correct. There should be folks on the ground observing this election because SEIU and ACORN and Dem Thugs will be there to "cheat" and intimidate. How can this be accomplished?
Tuesday Mass and America has a date with destiny. Oh the poetic irony of a Republican winning Kennedy's seat.
The second Reagan Revolution is coming!!!
I really hope there will be Brown/honest people at virtually EVERY polling place (or certainly as many of them as they can cover) armed with cameras and tape recorders and pads and pens to write down the bus numbers so the same bus carrying the same people doesn't visit about 8 polling places during the course of the day.
We are in TN and sent Scott Brown $$$$. I think a significant part of the million-a-day coming in for him is coming from all over the country because so many of us everywhere are hoping/praying for a way to stop the Marxists in their tracks. For a while I thought the dems simply mis-judged the American people… I have since revised my thoughts… they totally dismiss us as being necessary only to provide them with millions of taxable entities… nothing more. Anyone who believes they "care" about the american public is whistling in the wind.
Please remember that Acorn registered 105%of the total population of Indianapolis in 2008.
Please get involved in the census wherever you live because you can be sure Acorn will be there as they are aiming for some very serious redistricting.
Dear Eric Holder: Lots of Black Panthers and ACORN blacks at each poll in MASS to "help" ensure a "fair" election?
It’s good to see you posting here Dick. Welcome aboard.
I have never seen this as a Demo v. Repub. issue for years however, but a Traditional vs. so called “Progressive” issue, or more to the point a Conservative vs. Marxist battle.
These two diametrically opposed ideals cannot co-exist on the same playing field.
Not here…not anywhere. One or the other has to be defeated. Here and now.
There can be only one outcome to save our Republic…Conservatism MUST win, or we lose our liberty…plain and simple.
I will not allow my kids to be slaves to a Marxist oligarchy.
Ever!
Not Over.
Isn't it a sad day when we have to arm ourselves with cameras, videos and documentation to keep an election from being stolen by our president's SEIU thugs. We know that our attorney general will only look the other way as he did for ACORN!
I could mean that no more girls are going to drown in Chappaquiddick channel. Seriously though, well more seriously, this will be a major victory for righteousness and the American way.
Don't just video the people getting off the buses to vote. Prevent them from voting by any means. Once the vote is cast you cannot get it back! Even Ed Schultz has called for voter fraud to keep Brown from being elected. He says it out in the open on his TV show! The left will stop at nothing now. They know this will be their last chance to socialize our medical care and control every aspect of our lives under the cover of health. If you see something suspicious act on it. You know that at least half the people working at the polls are dems and want to see Croakly elected. They will do nothing if you don't. As our dear leader has said: "Get in their faces and push back twice as hard". That is what they believe and believe me they will do it. If you sit back and let it happen you have only yourself to blame. Jan. 19th is THE most important day for us to save this country from mediocrity. Rise up NOW!
Southerners for Scott Brown! It's your time Massachusetts to lead the charge to take our country back from the tax and spend liberals that have taken the American citizens for granted. Send Harry Reid, Nazi Pelosi, Barney Frank , Chris Dodd and the rest of the wealthy corrupt Congress members back to their home states for good. Please vote for Scott Brown on Tuesday and make all Americaans proud.
This will be a slap in the face of progressive Democrats, it's gonna hurt and it will not wash off with soap and water.
The GOP better have every lawyer and poll watcher in the country in MA. They need to challenge every suspect voter. Then the lawyers need to STAY with the vote until the very end of the count. They are most vulnerable after the polls close. Rest later!!!
'The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything,'"
- Joseph Stalin
Isn't it a pleasure to see a smiling, sincere face on the cover story. Seeing the scowling, angry faces of Pilosi, Reid, Dodd et al sure dims the mood when posting here. I'm invigorated today!! Yeehah!
Scott Brown put out a request for MA lawyers to man the polls. Can't find the link for the life of me, but, the response was astounding. So, if you are in MA on 1/19, don't get pulled over, or file for divorce, they will all be at the polls.
If this upset happens, if Brown wins
[...] an article on Big Government, Dick Morris calls the Massachusetts special election a game changer: Beyond a pleasing sight for the heart, what would Ted Kennedy’s seat going Republican really [...]
And just think, we have Obama to thank. Thank you dear leader for being such an over reaching, arrogant, ego maniac. We couldn't have done it without you.
If Browns wins the Democrats will try to push the Senate bill through the House. I would hope this evil maneuver would fail utterly.
I trained in Boston, and then escaped 6 years ago thinking I would never return. If Scott Brown wins this, I pledge to take the family to Massachusetts (I still remember how to spell it!) for an economy-stimulating vacation this summer. I mean it.
I'm guessing the rank and file Democrats that want to keep their jobs will buck the leaders in the Senate and House and say NO to 51!
Let this be or "Tet Offensive." We can take or country back. Lets make our Soldier, Airmen, Sailors and Marines proud. While they fight to protect our Freedom, let us fight to protect their Liberty. Don't join the Military, join the "Brown Brigade." Together, we can make this happen!!!
A win by Scott Brown will cause Arlen Specter to go uh oh, and switch parties again. But, it will be too late for the scumbag. Ben Nelson might even switch his heatlh care vote. Please Bay State voters, help us take America back! The American Revolution started in Massachusetts in 1776 and will be renewed in 2010!
A few minutes ago, I wrote about my exuberance at seeing a smiling face of a Conservative featured on this thread. Then reality hit. I began to think; Where are all the prominant Republicans/Conservatives? This is a VERY crucial election, yet the folks that just might take him over the top are silent. It seems the Conservative bloggers have the enthusiasm, but the Rep/Con pols are sitting on the sidelines. Rudy was there, but have heard nothing from any other high profile pol giving support. If Brown pulls this off, it won't be because of unity from the pols. The dems seem to know what's at stake.
Newt, Mitch, John, come out, come out, wherever you are!!
Scott Brown needs volunteer lawyers. http://bit.ly/8eLq4S
Americans for Limited Government has a ballot integrity operation up and running.

Armed with video camera;s and cell phons…FOLLOW those busses and vans to document their "stopping" places and whether they cross state lines with "Massachusetts (for-for-a-day) voters"!
Game Changer is an understatement.
From Cape Cod to California, history will be made on January 19, 2010, when the good men and women, of my home State of Massachusetts, go to the polls and elect Scott Brown to serve as their next senator.
You can take it to the bank.
I think a standing ovation is more than called for at this point.
Good people of Massachusetts – take a camera or video camera to the polls with you tuesday.
The GOONS will be out, SEIU and ACORN need this election.
Like Hitler's SS these goons are Obama's "Purple Shirts" and will do his bidding, much like the "Brown Shirts".
They BEAT Kenneth Gladney senseless – who is stopping them in Massachusetts?
good for you doc – that's great idea…
Nothing they try to do will wash off with soap and water, unfortunately. But we will win this country back and pry it from their fingers if we have to.
It sounds like everyone has the same idea about people keeping an eye, as well as a camera phone, on the look out for ACORN, The Working Families party, SEIU and their thugs.
This would be absolutely incredibly, should Brown win.
Besides being good for the country, I actually think a Brown victory would also be good for the democratic party, because it would force Obama to the middle if he wants to get things done, and this would give some strength back to congress to stand up to President Obama and not so helplessly have to go along with an agenda that even some democrats must realize, even as the vote for it, is not only harmful to our country but devestating to their political careers.
Lets hold all politicians accountable….regardless of the tiny letter in front of their name….
What a coincidence…
I happen to be watching John Adams which made it's way to the top of my neflix queue this week. If you have not watched this mini-series, it is a must see…
A note to Mr. Morris. I hope that you will remind all of your Republican friends that we the people are watching ALL of those holding positions at ALL levels of government. We the people intend to "drain all of the swamps".
Oh, and tell Hannity to get off of his polarizing high horse. I listened to him for years, but find him obnoxious as of late. They should rename his show Hannity, Beckel, Morris and Rove…perhaps Quadfire.
Some seem quick to give their allegiance…..to someone else who gives their allegiance quickly. This guy is a former (we think) Clintonista.
I'm volunteering to watch the graveyards on Tuesday as no doubt they will be flooded with Democrat party hacks digging up names, old ID's, even the dead to stand in line.
Sorry my friend, I don't see it happening. The writing is on the wall. Coakley is done and they know it. The whole country will be watching on Tuesday and they know that too.
The good men and women of Massachusetts won't allow it to happen. They'll make us proud.
Watch.
They are staying out of it, LOL, cause they don't know if they are next. The tea Party people have joined up with "We the People" and are taking back our country. It's RINO hunting season!
Thank you for your vigilance!! We are watching and helping from california and are praying for you all…sounds like you guys are going to catch the fraud!! Your efforts will be "historic", and not the horrendous health care bill.
Last night there were SEIU members in their shirts, holding BROWN signs! You can Google it – for photo proof!
They said they weren't happy with the way their union was taking them and they were voting for Brown.
I'll try to find the link!
I too grew up in MA, but am now living in the south, but I sent $$ to Scott Browns campaign. He needs $$ to counter the attack ads.
If you have seen the new "Massachusetts Miracle" video on YouTube, you'll love this similar one, which applies to all of us next November:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZs8k4pJcyk
That's right troll meat, and a convicted "toe sucker" to boot right? (Just like you I'd imagine, except you just haven't been caught at it yet…or have you…hmmmm).
Being a universally tolerant and open minded conservative, I don’t give a flying fark what the man did in his spare time. Never did. (Including working for Billy Jeff and his co-president Billary in his past).
If he speaks the truth…well the truth has it.
Now I believe you’re late for your Bunt meeting…run along Lil’ doggy…woof.
Not Over.
Hi Ray, I was wondering that too, but thinking on it,
I came to the conclusion that Massachusetts is such
a liberal state that it was safer for Scott to keep those
that might be considered "too" conservative away….
Just a thought!
That is an outstanding idea…will they be carrying "police batons"?/sac
Hey, just askin'
Not Over.
Have you ever wondered why the Democrats are against a Government Photo ID to vote?
and don't give me that crap about it's RACIST or DISCRIMINATORY to the POOR……
afterall you have to have a Government Photo ID to cash or write a check….
and these days some places make you show a Government Photo ID to use a credit card.
Ha – so you DO remember. Funny, Rush made a big deal of it – does he still every time "Dick" here is mentioned?
The trolls are getting desperate. There's blood in the water and they're bobbin like corks!
Dan, I think it was actually legalinsurrection's site, or similar, that are on the ground covering it. At least a dozen lawyers responded.
That's the world of Godless, secular humanist, socialism they want to drown us all in. Time to put an end to it.
I would think they would be armed with subpeonas.
It will be interesting to see what effect a Brown win has on the market. Good point!
I think it's better that they stay away. Yet another contrast between the two campaigns: one belonging to the people, the other being run by the machine. Go SCOTT BROWN!!!
No way does Spector get another term. He's already toast, he just hasn't laid down yet.
If Brown wins we have to make sure we keep fighting and elect those who will begin turning back this failed liberal experiment. We need to organize more and prepare for November. I pray if Brown wins he does what's best for his constituents and doesn't forget where his support came from to raise so much dough.
For the first time since November 2008, I am beginning to feel a real political change in the wind. One of two things will occur Tuesday evening in the birthplace of the American Revolution:
Scott Brown will win the seat vacated by the late, pudgy little brother of JFK, signaling true change, and Obama will be in serious trouble if he tries to ram down his seriously flawed "health care" package, which will really infuriate everybody.
or Coakley will "win" at the last minute thanks to a last minute surge of "votes", and Obama will REALLY be in serious trouble as the notion that the election was stolen will REALLY infuriate everybody. Unrest will ensue.
Either way, they will lose. The game has truly changed.
RINOs, unlike leopards can change their spots. Real Cons should be yelling from the rooftops. Let the RINOs sit on the sidelines. Boot their RINO a$$es out in NOV. There is so much at stake in Mass.
In my eyes, they will be next unless they can expressly prove their worth.
Yes, I remember everything meat. The slaps on my face by Marxist demonstrators last year, my Marine uniform being befouled by the spit of the Marxists “Peaceniks” in Oakland in ’69, the teaching of the “religion of peace” to my 12 year old only 2 months ago here in Kalifornia…and, most of all, I remember you meat.
Like millions of other like minded conservatives in this country…I have a very long memory for the likes of you and your ilk.
It’ll show on Jan. 19th…libmeat.
Sleep well…not.
Not Over.
bingo ed357
I sure hope there is massive coverage w/video to see this thing go down
Tricky Dick says GET TAPE!
cardon,
A few words of encouragement is a very easy task. I haven't even seen that. November is little more than 9 months away and the locomotive needs to start down the tracks soon. Demoralize the sorry Marxist Ba*tards over and over. ACORN/SEIU and affiliates haven't stopped working.
Dont worry about ACORN or SEIU or any other of the usual shenannigans that the dems usually use to steal a close election. Brown is going to win with a margin way beyond the cheat-proof limit. Prediction: Brown 53% Coakley 44% Kennedy/other 3%.
Here's a hope and prayer that Scott Brown will be going to DC. As the Dems know, they've way overstepped their agenda trying to ram one socialist program after another down the public's throat. Good ppl of Mass, here is your chance to make a real difference. Hopefully, there will be ppl everywhere to report any voter intimidation, because we all know how the Democratic Party gets, when they feel they may lose.
Let them stay away. They can support without being there.
I can understand why anyone wouldn't want to go to Boston. Breathing second hand liberal air really su*ks.
I am sure the dems are already buying a ton of shovels to dig em up and walkem to the voting machines..
I am a conservative. You and your "ilk" are being used as pawns for globalism.
"He’ll probably be able to pass health care either by Democratic dithering in certifying Brown’s election or by ramming through the bill while he’s en route to Washington on the shuttle."
Unacceptable! The American people have rejected this health care swill.
Point very well taken. The modern Democratic Party is based on thuggery and corruption and will not sit back and accept defeat in Ma any more than the Mullah's did in Iran. Totalitarians are the same globally.
You certainly are correct about the words of encouragment,
but when have Republicans had courage?…There are only
a handful in the Senate worth anything…
Although we end up voting Republican, we always call them
the "stupid party". They are so afraid to fight back, and most
want to go along to get along….Evidentally they were going
along with funding ACORN for the last 20/30 years. I was
never aware of ACORN and their shenanigans til Obama
ran for office…Why weren't the Republicans letting us know
who they were, and what they were doing? I really wish I was
more vigilante. I resent those that didn't let us know
about this corrupt bunch, both the pols and the media…
I agree with you 100%, it's going to be a long road, and we
have to keep our eyes open, and keep active, we certainly
can't slack off now, or ever again…
Maybe not the best analogy. The Tet "offensive" was an action by the enemy and it actually failed miserably (in their view) because it was largely repulsed by Americans. The infamy of Tet was the Leftist media reporting that distorted the true nature of the action and handed a propaganda victory to the enemies of freedom. I will stick with tea party analogies myself.
As to the spirit of your comment: Hell yes! Any defeat of a leftist collectivist* is a victory for liberty.
*redundant
[...] read this fantastic column by Dick Morris on BigGovernment.com. I Love Social [...]
Newt, Mitch and John can stay home. This is not about a posturing pol who would then assume some credit for (and influence with) the first Senator from MA to begin wiping the Kennedy stain from the American vision. F- 'em all, when has any of them shown true leadership over the last decade? Seems to me we would be better off if more REAL people emerged to displace the incumbent clowns from both parties. Anyone can cut deals and spend money they never earned in the first place. How about sending a majority to D.C. that has first hand experience in wealth creation in the face of oppressive government? Sounds like a good concept to me…
It's seems only fair for the second revolution to start in the same place the first one did.
It is better than people from the GOP establishment stay away. This is not about the GOP anyway. This is about Scott Brown. The GOP strayed from its principles and this will be an eye opener for them too. I'm just thankful that the GOP establishment has been SMART enough to stay away.
your youtube link is incorrect.
"The URL contained a malformed video ID."
Uh, Mr. Morris, what is the point of electing Scott Brown if he can not stop the deathcare bill?
As an anology, I'm not a fan of the Hollywood elite, but they are coming forward lately to help raise money for the disaster in Haiti. I'm no fan of those I referred to in my original post, but a simple statement of support can influence many "fence sitters". Where is Mitt, the former governor of Mass?
There are thousands upon thousands of voters out there that are not as well informed of the ineptness of many of these political phonies that may be influenced by a simple statement from one of the charletons.
Let's face it Oink, we have a much better chance of making a Conservative out of a RINO than a libtard.
I am a lifetime Conservative, but we must rely on a certain level of GOP support.
I quit watching Hannity during the last election. Sorry, couldn't bear listening to his shrillness for another second. He's completely lost it in my opininon.
Excellent freakin observation Ray.
If you need a place to stay in Hawaii just let me know…
I understood you just fine, I simply meant you should look for more apt analogies. I don't care to bolster Statist idiots in any way, nor do I care to confer any power or influence on unreliable people who assume they are "leaders". We need fresh blood in positions of power who will understand that MOST individuals are capable of making the best choices to direct their own lives. When I screw up I accept the consequences.
Dave,
Not sure how to take your post, but would offer same for Bangkok.
I liked Newt too, thought he was brilliant, but when he became
Speaker, I think it all went to his head..I just hope someone steps
up to the plate that we can support….I can't see anyone that I
would vote for at this point without holding my nose…It's always,
the lesser of the two evils, hope that changes!
As if voters could trust Scott "RomneyCare" Brown to oppose government health care.
If Scott wins…..he would make an excellent V.P. candidate in 3 years.
Yep. Probably not the best anology, but the point was more about cohesion(Guess my military background). O'Bummer and his band of Marxists didn't get control by appealing only to libtards. Conservatives can't regain control by appealing strictly to true Conservatives either.
Galt, let me toss out a challange here for you or anybody else to accept. Name 5 true Conservatives in todays political arena.
I don't think Scott wanted Mitt there
My exact feelings as well. Hence the question I posed to galtfan above to name 5 true Conservative pols in our current environment.
At least there is a chance with him. Coakley is a "down the line" Democrat.
Have you heard of Cap & Trade or Immigration Reform so dems can have a bigger Hispanic voting block while Americans can't get a job that pays enough to feed a family and pay their own rent?
Why V.P?
This could very well be the second shot heard round the world.
Dick Morris is a true warrior.
I don't live in MA, but I have given to Brown, and to Morris' cause, and to others in campaigns this Fall. Along with the rest out there, some money here, some money there… written letters, emails, and made phone calls….. it works!!
I can't begin to tell you how liberating and immensely gratifying it has been watching the Obama socialist machine going down and to be a little part of it.
I urge others to network and do what they can and never stop. No mercy — it's very clear they have absolutely none for you.
Good luck to all and go Brown!
.

I am a conservative. You and your "ilk" are being used as pawns for nut-job conspiracy hate-mongering.
I find it hard to believe your account of anything. You are so easily discredited I think the next time I'll let my 12 year old son do the research for me. What a wisenheimer you are, all fluff, no substance. You spout facist revisionist history. Don't forget, facism is so far around to the right on the political circle that you're actually next to communism, same face, different name. Now go home and rethink your life …… Hanzo
Ain't it the truth, ha ha. Their heads are spinning, what a sight to see

Jim Cramer(who shockingly supported BHO) said the market will drive higher just because of the fact that BHO and his lib/dem policies will now come grinding to a halt, hopefully. Even if Scott Brown does win, we can still expect dirty trick/insider deal/behind closed door politics as usual from our marxist opponents. That's ok, we have just begun to fight and we shall remain vigilant ………. Hanzo
Remember that even if you have video of black people with clubs at the polling places intimidating voters, Eric Holder will just look the other way. Not only does Massachusetts need you Scott Brown….the USA needs you!
The Kennedy seat?
I thought that it is the Henry Cabot Lodge Jr. seat.

The police union is for Scott Brown. Maybe that will help.
Hopefully, the fact that the Police Union is for Scott Brown will help.
