Calling another Stimulus a ‘Jobs Bill’ Won’t Make it Work any Better than Last Year’s Fiscal Flop

Interestingly, since last year’s stimulus was such a disaster, the redistributionists in Washington are calling their new proposal a “jobs bill.” But as I say in the video, this is akin to putting perfume on a hog.

These stimulus plans are just a "rearranging of the deck chairs on the Titanic". Even a child can recognize that if you take money from the available pool of investment capital to the economy, and use it to enlarge the government burden on the economy. Not only are you robbing the economy of the capital to recover and grow, but creating a permanent burden on the economy. "Because there is nothing as permanent as a temporary government program.” ."
Lets watch the "intellectual" Obama contradict himself again.
He uses a teleprompter and read pickup truck jokes. (like jokes on people with bibles and guns)
Then he says he will "bail out the middle class" The working classes hate bailouts but thrive as workers. Driving trucks and working hard.

These people need to be treated like the criminals that they are, and be prosecuted as such for not living up to their oath, and the attempts to kill our economy and nation as we know it with such a disregard for the peoples will.

I was watch alittle segment on Obama's speeches yesturday on FNC. Ever notice that his favorite word is 'inherited'. Saying that he's still cleaning up Bush's mess. Well, Bush was cleaning up Clinton's mess.

You are correct Einy. That's why the liberals spent 8 years talking trash about the economy, and Bush. It's a matter of perception. If enough people believe the economy is in tatters then the result ultimately will be that the economy suffers and ends up in tatters. Of course we should all know by now that the liberal mindset is " never let a good crisis go to waste". This also means, as you suggest, that "if a crisis does not exist, one must be created". The political class has divided the people against themselves and as a result expect us to be too distracted bickering to see what they, the political class, are up to in Washington. Now that the people have begun to take notice and begun to foment in the form of a "Tea Party" movement they seek to create further imbalance by creating strife and striking fear in the heart of the nation. This too has not gone unnoticed and the people are angry. It's one thing to show contempt for the people and a completely different thing for the people to realize they have been played for fools.

It's also true that most people are not smart enough to actually know if the economy is doing well or not. There are just to many extenuating circumstances to make an informed decision on some thing of such magnitude.
When I reflect upon all of this, one thing come to mind. Cognitive Bias…
We have to understand that it is US that needs to change, not the politicians. We put them there, and we shouldn't be surprised by their actions. If we as a society don't change, then we as a society shall always succumb to cognitive bias…And a continual decline in our liberties and freedom!

Perfume on a hog. Nice image. I visualize a man in a rowboat who, upon finding some water in his boat shoots at it with his pistol. Upon finding even more water in the boat after his effort at fixing it, he uses his shotgun to blow even larger holes in the boat.
The stimulus package created more net unemployment. It costed more than one job for every one it 'saved.' The government money used is always raised by borrowing or taxing. Both of these are a drag the businesses that hire. Naturally, the Left, seeing more water in the boat than there was before, seeks to double down on its efforts and really do some damage. If this was fiction, the publisher would reject it as too implausible.

Suggestions for cutting some of the wildfire spending in DC, and uprooting corruption:
Fire the guy they're paying to come up with "happy face" names for their destructive junk legislation.
And expand the Truth in Advertising law to include criminal penalties if the violator is a politician pushing one of those junk bills with a "happy face" label.

The video doesn't show up through the firewall and filtering, but I'll add that cutting taxes (rather than Bush's stimulus tax rebate check) and having it show up in your paycheck is the best thing for the middle class. If you get more money in your check, you are more likely to spend it. However, if you have debts to pay, you might also pay down those debts a little faster.
