I'm not the brighest bulb in the drawer, but I didn't need the full four minutes to figure it out. There is an old adage in business: "it it looks too good to be true, if it sounds too good too be true, it probably isn't true." This Health Care Bill of Goods never has come close to passing the smell test.
The House has betrayed us.

Today is a great day. The sun is shining, we have time to gather information on which radical totalitarian scum voted for this unconstitutional power grab. Monday we redouble our efforts to save our future. Make your choice on what to do… If you are registered Republican, overload the local offices, go to the local offices once a week to ask for help on any issue you can think of… social security, clarification on health care vote, getting information on family military records or protest (video tape as you are able)
If you are registered independent, volunteer in the local Dems office or campaign effort, gather any information you can and document everything. Join Acorn to register votes, throw away Democrat and send in the Republican. Proudly parrot far out left wing talking points and go over board from time to time, and record local private meetings. Gather lists of non fake voters and forward that list to the Republican. Get involved with the local government voting registrar and make sure registrants are legit. Now the laws and make sure EVERYONE lives up to the letter of the law. Push early and often to prosecute ANYone that is not completely accurate. If any one challenges your efforts, press to prosecute them. KNOW the LAW — USE THE LAW. MAke the other side live up to ever letter, jot and tidle OF THE LAW!!! Video tape what is going on, have one or two others video tape (wide angle) what is going on around you. Get names, get a volunteer lawyer willing to file suits for anything and everything and have fun…
REmember, Monday is the beginning of the end for LibTotalitarians… and the return of FREEDOM!!!!
We’ll now, didn’t that make sense, add in Tort reform and wa…la… you have healthcare reform without evisorating the greatest healthcare system the world has ever known without exception. Therefore for leftist, and Washington, this mustn’t be done. It allows freedom of choice, and the little leftist myrmidon wussies are scared. Scared out of their government issued booties, that they may have to take responsibility for their own lives. This would mean a three letter word “jobs” as BBBBB..Biden has taught us. Remember all you business owners, fire your liberals first, as the taxes increase, deliver them to their blessed Messiah.
It continually amazes me that many Europeans keep warning us of this slippery slope. They can see it, because they are in the midst of it. It is not the chic thing to be a socialist, like the left seems to think in this country. It steals the individualists spirit and makes one a cog in the wheel. I still believe there are enough people in this country that are rugged individualists, who will fight to the end to save ourselves from this disaster we have brought on ourselves. Then the real work begins:
2010 is coming and we will begin cleaning the House and Senate. It is going to take a long time to clean this mess up. We must bring in citizens who are strict Constitutionalists, that will begin deconstructing what began over a 100 years ago. We must purge every unconstitutional program, restructure our schools (begin teaching basics again, like the three R's, Civics, and true American History) and purge the Judicial system of radicals. But my greatest fear is after 2012, the sleeping giant will go back to sleep and let the slide continue.

Graham said that the bill is DOA in the senate. I hope that's true but then we can't trust them either.

This is interesting. I googled 'Center for Freedom and Prosperity' in firefox and firefox crashed a third time. I just stopped trying. At least for today. A google search of Chronwatch, the conservative antidote to the SF Chron gives a "connection was reset" message.

Just read that some savy Republicans DID have the idea to vote present on the Stupak amendent which would have let the blue dog's stew in their own political theatre and prevented the Catholic Bishops from giving out their endorsement which would have added pressure to the dogs that were wavering.
If they could have killed the bill then the amendment wouldnt matter, since it still had to go through the senate their was very little risk that any such provision would have passed.
John Boehner made sure that didnt happen, I think the GOP leaders are about as dumb as they come, they keep giving away presents to the Dem's, the leadership is gun shy and Nancy Pelosi out thought them, how depressing.

Congress will end up passing some monstrosity "health care reform" bill. The overwhelming excuse will be 'something had to be done' The writing is on the wall. Most people want something done so the people will get something. A monstrosity.
If the majority of the country was smart then the majority would be telling Congress they don't want anything done except to open up competition between health insurance companies nationwide. Why? Because government screws up just about everything they touch. The least amount of government needed is always the best government.

The best line in the video is the huge bureaucracy she says we will need for government health care. That is exactly what the democrats want. Bureaucrats, government workers and those dependent on them are the constituency of the democratic party.
What about the bureaucrat that sends them a welfare check and the bureaucrat that is needed to process the taxes to pay the 2 bureaucrats and the welfare check. 1 poor person leads to 3 votes for the democrats.

Paul Craig Roberts new column talks about the Republicans support of capitalism when in fact alot of our private corporations are simply feeding from the public till, they appear to be capitalistic yet in fact are quite socialistic, so we really have to look closely at whether people or organisations are tax payers or tax consumers. I am a permanent US resident with German nationality. I am self employed with a $650 a month health insurance bill and a $500 deductable. I need a colonoscopy and that would cost me out of pocket about $2500 in the US. My sister in Germany called her doctor and he said it would cost $400. If I lived there it would be free. Guess where I get it done. Hospital cost and Insurance are out of control in the US. Germany's 250 non profit insurance companies are much fairer and cost less. Medical cost is 1/5 of what it is in the US and Germany gives excellent care. And taxes are not that much higher than here in the US.
well, if thats Obammys plan, to bankrupt us thru taxation whats the solution, once again i say the simple solution is STOP paying taxes and see what thes big govt. burreaucratic leeches, theives do. yes its a criume to stop paying taxes but its not murder, its a protest, look i've had enough taxes its not right to rob me of my hard earned money either, it may be what it takes to put this country back on the right track a simple solution that everyone understands, not some abstract philosophy but a simple tax revolt!

We do need changes. In our system self employed are the most screwed because you don't get the tax brake employers get. I have heard good things about the German system it is not a single payer. But our Democrats want an English style single payer that will give the huge amounts of power over people. Medicare and Medicaid low ball doctors and hospitals and they try to recover the cost in the private sector.
