Coakley Staffer Knocks Reporter to the Ground
by Dana LoeschI guess his question as to why she could say, during her debate with Scott Brown, that the “Taliban are gone” in Afghanistan after Taliban blew up eight CIA officers in Afghanistan was too tough for her.
From the Weekly Standard reporter himself:
A tipster tells me that the man who was pushing me outside of a Capitol Hill fundraiser Tuesday night for Massachusetts Democratic Senate candidate Martha Coakley is Michael Meehan.
Meehan heads up a firm called Blue Line Strategic Communications along with his partner David DiMartino, who was outside the fundraiser with Coakley tonight and introduced himself to me there. TheAP reported on Monday that Meehan is also working for Coakley: “The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee also dispatched Michael Meehan, a media consultant with ties to Massachusetts, to assist the Coakley camp with messaging.”
Though I can’t say with 100 percent certainty, I think that Meehan is the man who shoved me into a metal railing Tuesday night.
Coakley’s strongarm appears to be a longtime Democrat party hack. No surprise there.
This, the video of the Coakley thug visibly knocking down, shoving, and harassing reporter John McCormack:
The thug appeared to shove McCormack back and prevent him from asking Coakley any questions. More:
McCormack said Coakley blew him off, and then he followed her for a few blocks until he was shoved by a man he believes was Meehan, who is working with the Coakley campaign.“I ended up on the sidewalk. I was fine,” McCormack wrote in the Weekly Standard. “He helped me up from the ground, but kept pushing up against me, blocking my path toward Coakley down the street.”When McCormack asked the man whom he worked for, he replied, “I work for me,” demanding to see McCormack’s credentials on a public street. After McCormack showed him his ID, he said he met up with Coakley halfway down the block, asking her question that she declined to answer.
Coakley is definitely amping up the negativity, suggesting that Brown’s grassroots supporters are “hate groups,” tossing around grandiose statements about her political stature (”If I don’t win, 2010 is going to be hell for Democrats“), apparently hiring union workers to rally for her:
The heat of Brown’s success online and his record $1 million dollar-in-a-day fundraising – coupled with the ethics complaint Coakley faces over the charge that she used state resources on her campaign, relying on SEIU to phone bank for her, her sagging poll numbers, (not to mention the embarrassing misspelling of the very state for which she’s campaigning in one of her commercials), are all taking a toll on her manufactured-to-win countenance.
She and the Democratic party are quickly learning that through Massachusetts, the American people are beginning to say “no.”

I would have thought he was imported from Chicago based on his behavior.
Loyalist to the kings are the true oppressors of freedom. The real story is the lack of coverage of the independent..
There are few things more sacred to a republic than representation. The one man one vote and all it’s citizens are represented equally promise. Why isn’t voter fraud hounded out of existence? Voter fraud is a direct assault on our republic, it can kill a nation. There is nothing more fraudulent than gerrymandering and it’s creation of an artificial majority based on party affiliation not representation to silence the dissention of we the people. It is one of the reason our congress does not listen to we the people. Gerrymandering is a creation of the government parties to protect their power and to turn representation into re-election.. The parties can not speak of freedom until districts are based on representation not party affiliation.
And…get this…..Michael Meehan is awaiting Senate confirmation on his appointment to "The Broadcasting Board Of Governors" by Obama http://www.bluelinesc.com/profile/michael-meehan
Gotta LOVE the quality of our executive appointees!
Huh, DemoRats up to their old playbook.
Out comes the thugery when they are threatened with real opposition. If they can't buy the votes they steal them, if they can't steal them they intimidate and rough up anyone with questions putting them in the spotlight to publicly confirm what they already had said.
That's whay ALL RINOS AND DEMORATS HAVE TO GO.

When should I expect to see this video on the MSM or Jon Stewart show? Any day now, right? {sigh}
Obviously the Coakley people are FRUSTRATED that this "walk in the park" has been spoiled by "red necks", "teabaggers" and other miscreants that "don't belong".
Do you'all think she already BOUGHT a house in Georgetown, and might not NEED it?
This woman is the height of HUBRIS and ARROGANCE…kinda like Okenyan.
Just another example of the thuggery and culture of corruption that exists within the Democrap party. I am totally unsurprised.
Whether or not you can see what looks like Michael Meehan pushing this guy to the ground, theres no denying that he afterwards he certainly gets in his way and won't let him pass. What is this, a US Senate campaign, or a junior high altercation? I hope this helps put a nail in John Kerry and Cantwell's coffins as well as Coakley's.
[...] MORE ON THE COAKLEY REPORTER ASSAULT, from Dana Loesch. [...]
After looking at the video it seems clear to me that this is all a big misunderstanding.
Notice that the “assailant” is holding a smart phone.
It seems clear to me that Meehan was simply using the latest Mobile Social Networking app called “Shove Me Into A Metal Railing, Please” where trendy submissive masochists post their GPS locations (next to metal railings, of course – that is the whole “edge” to the application’s concept) and a follower finds them and shoves them into said railing.
It is a great way to meet people.
Being a right wing troglodyte, McCormack was completely unaware of this new and hip “killer app” and mistook a simple case of mistaken identity for an assault. If McCormack were a hipster he’d have known not to stand near metal railings unless he wanted to be shoved into them. Tsk. Tsk.
/ is a sarcasm tag really necessary?
he's a declared Libertarian – but he's a Kennedy.
blood is thinker than political labels…he at 2% for a reason.
Michael Meehan is the angry man?
Michael needs anger management classes.
they say he is not related.. plus I hate both government parties.
one doesn't like to jump to conclusions but…
Could this incident be her undoing? No matter what your take is on the war the abject cluelessness of her answer showed someone absolutely out of her intellectual depth.
It was breathtaking. Perhaps our friends in Massachusetts can weigh in on this…
ah so…he's real Libertarian then. ok. that's better
it is kinda of a weird trip to run as a "Kennedy" in Massachussettes though, it's creepy.
But a Brown said "It's the people seat, not Teddy's seat".
I pray for patriotic redemption for Massachusetts citizens with the election of Brown. Over the last few decades their steadfast choices of liberal progressives ie; E. Kennedy, Kerry, Frank et al., have hugely contributed to the dire national condition. Under their guidance nothing is better, only worse. It's time to do the right thing.
Be assured, people of Massachusetts, that I will help you get rid of Brown should he turn out to be as bad as the rest. Partys mean nothing. It's all about character and honest leadership from now on.
Thank you from a long suffering non-resident of Massachusetts.
The "Atty General" did a lot to stop it or to help….. Must have went to the Eric Holder school of law
NOT !!! Is my scarf on right?
He's not related. Sure, we're all 17th cousins, but he's 16th cousins to the Old Drunk at best.
These stories, the Gladney incident and fallout, similar stories that pop up, I don't understand how more violence hasn't occurred. I absolutely promise most profoundly that any attempt to get thuggish with me be it in general public, a polling place, or any other set of circumstances would be met with an immediate and drastically violent response. What is with people these days? What you don't stick up for yourself? That punk would be having his face and other body parts reassembled and put back together right now if he tried that on me, the sort of thing simple isn't done where I'm standing, not without paying a price for it anyway. I am not easily intimidated by thugs. For the love of God have people no backbones any longer?
I don't think brown is going to win.. They didn't keep re-electing the creep for nothing. Brown will lose due the system, just like hoffman.

That shove to the ground of McCormack by Meehan is the pluperfect metaphor for how all the leftards want those who, "ask questions to power" to be treated. It's disgusting, despicable, and a disgrace.
I certainly hope McCormack presses charges.
Didn't Obama say something about…"We will hit back twice as hard…..?" Hmmmm…were these marching orders to his minions???
Not sure the boy can beat the Mass. Dem. Kennedy machine, but it sure is fun to watch. If he even gets close it will scare the c*^p out of the rest of the Dem.s that are up for redeification this year. Watch for ACORN T'shirts at the polls, or maybe they can get the Panthers to come from Philly to provide security. If he's for term limits I'd move to Mass. just to vote for him. (NOT!!!)
"…Taliban are gone” in Afghanistan after Taliban blew up eight CIA officers in Afghanistan…"
Maybe she meant that the Taliban that blew up the CIA officers are gone. That much is true.
So Democrats and SEIU can push people around, call people Negros, call women whores but we are the bad bad party….
nuff said !!!
Look on the bright side !
Luckily, John McCormack wasn't out there trying to sell the Gadsden Flag, or other conservative memorabilia !
Who knows what might have happened to him then …
Maybe someone needs to meet Mr. Meehan in the parking lot outside his office and explain the facts of life to him. I'm not exactly a fighter, but if that had been me that he had shoved, I would have broken his jaw.
Ya, thanks. I went in a looked him up. Who knows how many erst while "Kennedys" will "turn up".
After listening to this woman being interviewed, she seems like a dimwit. She is nothing more that a Democratic Obamatron who drones on with the usual programmed talking points.
It's going to be a hell of a finish.
I hope Brown pulls it out thus flicking mud in Obama's eye.
Teddy K. must be spinning like a fast turning rotisserie – in Hell…
we both know we will. .. as long the people accept the two evils and refuse to change the system government parties created then we will continue to suffer.
CthragSardius, no doubt you're a tough guy, but imagine the headlines if the reporter had punched Meehan. We would have heard 24/7 about an assault perpetrated by a "right wing thug."
That's what I'm saying Victor, I'm a passive respectful person who would never instigate violence, Meehan should not have had to wait for a vengeful attack in the dark as he left his office however, he should have received a just and righteous face pummeling right then and there the moment he aggressively intruded upon that mans space.
Hat tipped your post for the video … from Does Martha Coakley share Obama’s disconnect?
Well your exactly right notaclue, no doubt about it. I'm no tough guy that's not where I'm coming from at all I simply won't be shoved around by anyone, it's not saying a lot about myself. The media response is secondary to the situation at hand, that sort of behavior should be met with violence, period. Violence is the only language anyone is talking in that altercation.

Obama won and he bald-face lied his way through the campaign….
Brown should still exploit Coakley's weakness on (military) intelligence though.
Don't just pray. Volunteer for Brown. You can work the phone bank from home, an hour an evening or so.

This is a watershed moment. Count on it.
And 30 minutes after she loses the election every Chicago Machine Democrat Pimp will be there demanding a recount and claiming Republicans and Tea Party supoorters "threatened and intimidated voters"…..
Gentlemen, this is war. Those who have the power will do anything to keep it. A little shoving or intimidation at voting polls – and a blind eye by the Justice(hardly) Dept., ACORN registering dead folks or bribing of Senators – that used to be crime – is nothing compared with what is coming.
Well, at least we know what the Rules of Engagement are now.
What irony! Three Navy SEALS are facing a possible court-martial over allegedly roughing up a known terrorist, while absolutely no comment or outrage from the same leftist scum who openly assault a journalist who has First Amendment protections. Oh, wait, that only applies to the left. Sorry, forgot.
To quote the old Buffalo Springfield song: "There's battle lines bein' drawn…………"
is that her only weakness? From what we saw she seemed every bit the dilletant…
I believe Ms. Loesch did a great job but failed to pick up on something she briefly mentioned in her article about the ethics complaint Mr. Brown filed against Ms. Coakley – if you read that BostonHerald.com article entitled "Brown makes ethics complaint in Senate Race," that she references you see that a local union admitted that state resources were used to get out her message AND that Brown had to register his ethics complaint with – NO OTHER THAN – the Attorney General. That would be Ms. Coakley herself.
Now how likely is it that Ms. Coakley will investigate herself without bias?
This news needs to get out – quickly!!! Look it up and pass it on.
DId you see the article in yesterday's articles about how Mr. McCormack's brother got fired (apparently for defending John)?
These Chicago mobsters will stop at nothing and stoop to anything to maintain control and power.
Rumor has it that Michael Meehan, who works for Martha Coakley, is a Yankee fan. Coakley's assistant Meehan considers Bucky Dent a personal hero (as is Mookie Wilson). Martha Coakley's assistant Meehan thought Wade Boggs' career really came alive when he played for New York. Meehan, who works for Martha Coakley and the Democrats, openly mocks Tom Brady and roots for the Balitmore Ravens.
And that Martha Coakley does not have a problem with any of this and Michael Meehan's love of New York and Maryland sport franchises. She is too busy cowtowing to national union representatives and big pharm to worry about the Rex Sox or the Patriots.

You need to be careful or "Law Enforcement" will come after you for threatening an Obama appointee. They have their priorities.
WELL!!!………. Is this proof of the accusers being guilty of what they are accusing others of, are they truly members of the "Mean spirited" hate group? How many other things that they accuse their opposition of, are they actually guilty of themselves? How often do they practice those social faults (Which are considered crimes if it were their opposition doing it)? The opposite of a "Truther", is a Liar, I'll bet not many "Truthers" (If any) vote for Coakley !!!! A "Truther" is someone seeking truth, a liar is someone falsely accusing and degrading seekers from discovering truth!!!! It is why so many of the "Liars" followers are so confused, "Astroturf" in essence!!!! How many "Cigarettes will be handed out this election cycle, "Truthers" or even the curious may never know?!!!!!
Coakley mocks Fenway Fans, call them idiots.
Scott Brown, however, honors the heroes of Fenway Park and the proud traditions of Boston Sports.
Why didn't you publish my comment about the BostonHerald article whereby Scott Brown was forced to report an ethics complaint about his opponent to the Attorney General of that state – who just happens to be his opponent?

With an attitude like old man Mehan, Who got his moves from (D)Satan, This dust up is in the can, and someday Mehan will get a hellish tan.
Let me explain my previous post which makes no sense. The Boston Herald was cited by the writer of this article about an ethics complaint Brown filed against Coakley for using state resources in her effort to get elected. The complaint had to be filed with the Attorney General of the state – who is Ms. Coakley.
I am new at this blogging stuff, but I think this is a huge issue. A local union admitted that they had done this, and the person who will judge whether their breach violates ethics is the very person they did it for.
Read the article at BostonHearld.com – "Brown Makes Ethics Complaint in Senate Race." See for yourself.
Hopefully, the second American Revolution will begin in the very place the first one did.
God bless what is left of America.
Fact: Election Eve, Monday, November 3rd, 2008: Scott Brown went on WTKK RADIO and urged voters to VOTE AGAINST Ballot Question 1, to END the Massachusetts state income tax. Scott Brown allied himself with the National and state Teachers Unions and SEIU (the government employees union that often works with ACORN) – against the taxpayers of Massachusetts.
Fact: Scott Brown has been a state legislator for the last 11 years, but we can't find a single tax cut bill authored, sponsored, or introduced by him that would cut as little as 5% of state government revenue.
Fact: Scott Brown has been a state legislator for the last 11 years, but we can't find even one spending cut bill authored, sponsored, or introduced by him that would cut as little as 5% of total state government spending.
Fact: Scott Brown has been a state legislator for the last 11 years, but we can't find a single waste reduction bill authored, sponsored, or introduced by him that would cut waste as little as 5% of total spending. Polling shows that Massachusetts voters estimate that 41% of their taxes are wasted, but Scott Brown can't even find 5% government waste.
Fact: The biggest tax and spending issue facing Massachusetts this year is our ballot initiative to roll back the sales tax from 6.25% to 3%. Yet we cannot find a single news account or mention at Scott Brown's legislative or campaign web sites where he takes a stand on this issue. He refuses to publicly endorse or campaign for our ballot initiative to roll back the sales tax — even though it would give Massachusetts families 32,929 new private sector jobs.
Fact: Scott Brown proudly proclaims that he was a key part of the team that designed RomneyCare, the Massachusetts health care reform bill endorsed and backed by Senator Ted Kennedy. Scott Brown helped write, voted for, and endorses the bill provision that forces all Massachusetts workers to buy medical insurance – or pay a penalty tax. (Remember when Bill Clinton swore that oral sex from Monica Lewinsky wasn't sex? Scott Brown, a lawyer, swears that this mandatory fee paid to the government is NOT a tax! )
And now, Scott Brown's provision requiring everyone to buy medical insurance – or pay a mandatory penalty tax – is a key part of the Nancy Pelosi-Harry Reid-Barack Obama Health Care Reform Bill.
It doesn't matter. the media ignored him like they always do to independents, and thus why our country is bankrupt.
Who cares about Coakley saying there aren't any terrrorists in Afgahnistan, the question he should have led with is about the healthcare lobbyists at Coakley's funraiser.
I wouldn't have a problem with Massechussettes suffering for their voting decisions. The issue is we will all suffer from it.

Fraud by individual voters is both irrational and extremely rare. Most citizens who take the time to vote offer their legitimate signatures and sworn oaths with the gravitas that this hard-won civic right deserves. Even for the few who view voting merely as a means to an end, however, voter fraud is a singularly foolish way to attempt to win an election. Each act of voter fraud risks five years in prison and a $10,000 fine – but yields at most one incremental vote. The single vote is simply not worth the price.
Pretty bold statement… from a typist.
I thought you would have learned by now not question my wisdom.. Voter fraud is far more rampant because both parties do it. How do you explain year after year dead people voting and people voting in mulitple areas? When the law is not enforced there is no law. When the counter lose ballots or others are disqualified there is no punishment. I thought you wanted to support working people?
Chicago politics has come to Boston, huh? Nice!
For the last 20 yeas voter fraud has become a partisan issue. Not because we have experienced lots of fraud, but because Republicans have used accusations of fraud to depress voter turnout. They have made accusations of fraud in every close election but they are nowhere to be found in races that that are not competitive. So apparently they believe fraud occurs only in "purple" states.
They use it to question the eligibility of thousands of would-be voters — often targeting poor and minority citizens in urban areas that lean Democratic. Playing the role of vigilant watchdog gives GOP bureaucrats a pretext for obstructing the path of marginalized and first-time voters headed for the polls.
This massive effort to stamp out (Democratic) voter fraud has resulted in very few indictments and convictions. From 2002 to 2005 only one person was found guilty of registration fraud. Twenty people were found guilty of voting while ineligible and five people were found guilty of voting more than once. That’s 26 criminal voters — voters who vote twice, impersonate other people, vote without being a resident — the voters that Republicans warn about. Meanwhile thousands of people are getting turned away at the polls.

Lt. Col Brown is our alternative to all of those who have forgotten exactly who serves whom!
