The Real Meaning of New Jersey, and Virginia and New York 23
by Dana LoeschA message was sent to both the Republican and Democrat parties yesterday at polling stations across America, especially on the east coast. The perennially blue New Jersey now has a Republican Governor-elect. In Virginia, Republicans swept the top three spots in state office with Bob McDonnell winning that state’s gubernatorial race. Virginia was the coveted swing state last time around, a state that Keith Olberman cited as an example of permanent change. Interestingly enough, in exit poll questions asking voters why they chose the folks they chose were answered with one word: “change.”

New York’s hotly contested 23rd district was of epic soap opera proportions, a problem which is the direct result of party loyalists inability to see past their own navels. On October 16th I launched DumpDede.com and together with Bill Hennessy, held a last-minute presser (drive-bys and party hacks ignored that it was given on six hours’ notice and tried to use the crowd size as a way to neutralize the scope and power of the movement) and called on the GOP to dump the RINOs and support conservative Doug Hoffman. I heard “politics is local.” Absolutely – and when it is a federal congressional seat, a seat with a vote that could be the tiebreaker on legislation that could affect us all, the boundaries that separate districts and states fade away.
If you insert “conservatism” whenever you hear Doug Hoffman’s name, you get the point.
That’s not what the race was about.
It was about wrenching the reigns away from the GOP, a party that the tea party movement pulled out of the muck post-2008 elections, a party that literally turned about-face to walk right back into the crap pile. People were active locally in NY23 – they were sidestepped by the NRCC who, in a backroom meeting with a handful of folks, chose a ridiculous liberal as their nominee. There was NO primary. The RNC spent $1 million dollars campaigning against conservatism in New York’s 23rd. They spent that money on an ACORN candidate that forced them to turn and grab their ankles when she endorsed Democrat Bill Owens. Beltway Republicans like Newt Gingrich praised Scozzafava as being the new face of the party … which says a lot when that face does robocalls for a high-taxes, big labor Democrat.
The tea party was never about becoming a third party, an idea which I am vehemently opposed to, as I said in the final post at Dump Dede; rather, it’s a check and balance for the GOP and the vehicle in which to drag the party back to its foundation:
We didn’t do this to create some peashooter third party. We did it to help take over the GOP, to move this brick house back to its foundation. I am vehemently opposed to this movement being cop-opted into a third party and marginalized in the same manner that third parties are usually marginalized.
The GOP is a conservative party and that’s what this fight is to me, just as much as it’s about opposing the big government schemes oozing out of Washington.
A message was sent to the Democrats, too, a startling revelation about the length, or lack thereof, of Obama’s coattails. The President made many trips to both Virginia and New Jersey and despite slathering on the support, the Democrats lost – in Virginia by a landslide – 17 point gubernatorial spread (and all top three state elected offices went to the GOP). Their only big victory was Bill Owens, a moderate Democrat that had to borrow his liberal cred from the ACORNite former Republican candidate married, literally, to big labor. For all the talk the left espouses about the “fringe” right – looks like moderation in the DNC was the ticket last night, not the Chicago-style far left.
Another thing, too: independents, the same ones which carried Obama to victory in 08, flocked, FLOCKED to Republican and conservative candidates. The disparity was so great in New Jersey it’s almost laughable: 58 – 33% in favor of Governor-Elect Chris Christie. The independents sent the DNC a message: time for change.
I also think a third, more subtle group received a message last night. On my show, I often discuss all the ways one can get involved politically on a local level, precincts, et al. We can avoid liberal candidates by filtering them out at the local level, nipping their ascension to power in the proverbial bud by assuring they don’t get nominated in the first place – and we can’t do that until we infiltrate the party, beginning at the most basic levels. It takes about as much time a year, if not less, than standing on a street corner with a placard.
Yesterday was a victory for the tea party movement, who, in its first test of power, showed that it can and will knock out the most liberal candidate off the ticket, regardless of party affiliation. In that respect, conservatism won yesterday. It’s about time.

Great as usual Dana.
Nazi Pelosi is on the spin mode. Suddenly NY-23 became an important win compared to NJ and VA. In spite, Obama spend every freaking taxpayers dime flying back and forth between VA and NJ. Defeat the Washington cabals!
You are quite correct, the GOP has its own batch of hangers on who profit by the status quo and won't listen until we make them. Step one was yesterday. If step two takes place at all it will be up to us.
Oh and thanks for the link (:c)
"On October 16th I launched DumpDede.com"
Dana Loesch: as a liberal, thank you very much. The infighting amongst serious conservatives and the lunatic teabagger fringe will ensure many more liberal wins in the future.
"The President made many trips to both Virginia and New Jersey and despite slathering on the support, the Democrats lost"
gubernatorial races are NEVER a national referendum. for example. in VA it was all about roads.
The new GOP slogan is simple…
Real Change
New Jersey and Virginia are just the beginning.
what exactly is the "real change" you advertise?
no health care reform. no new ideas. no fiscal spending restraint or responsibility. republicans: the party of no.
"NY-23 became an important win compared to NJ and VA"
NY-23 is a house vote, which is national elections, and more closely tied to President Obama and his agenda. the NJ and VA races are local gubernatorial, and usually deal with local issues. I know in VA much of it was decided on the traffic situation in northern VA and the need to build new roads.
Speaking about "legislation that could affect us all", why did Hoffman sound very Bush-like on a very important issue?
http://24ahead.com/doug-hoffman-might-be-weak-imm...
Since Hoffman's position on that issue would likely have increased spending (leading to raising taxes) and would have given the Democrats more power, why didn't the Tea Party folks try to convince him to adopt a better position? The Tea Partiers like to pretend they're the only patriots around, yet here's their candidate supporting massive immigration at the same time as millions of Americans are out of work. That doesn't sound too very patriotic, and it's certainly not good politics. Of course, the fact that most of the the Tea Partiers apparently support the same thing as Hoffman shouldn't be much of a surprise: most seem to be quite libertarian if not completely Randroid, and their leaders are people like this:
http://24ahead.com/2007-dick-armey-sticks-illegal...
"no health care reform. no new ideas. no fiscal spending restraint or responsibility. republicans: the party of no."
That sounds more like the Dem party. Spending trillions of dollars in the first YEAR of Obama's presidency does not speak highly of spending restraint either, or responsibility for that matter. Before tossing words around like "restraint" and "responsibility" think long and hard about how you position yourself. The big-time spending Repub party is long gone as far as we are concerned. So sad you can't say the same about the Dems.
Gee, you could say the same thing about the Dems between 2000-2008. And the "change" they want to usher in now are the failed socialist policies that wrecked the economies of other countries.
You can HARDLY say Dems are champions of fiscal restraint or responsibility with the deficits since they took over the House and Senate in 2006. We're in the hole financially, and what's their solution? "Hey, let's spend more!"

Funny how those races drew such interest from the White House then.
"Spending trillions of dollars in the first YEAR of Obama's presidency"
* 800B of tarp was already out the door before Obama took office.
* Both wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were being fought since their beginning OFF the official budget. Obama put them ON the actual budget.
* Bush was running 400B deficit spending for FY 2009. We are still dealing with that.
* The worst global financial meltdown since the Great Depression hit just before Obama assumed office.
no, it's not at all. of course a party wants their own to win.
"reflects positively"…. Your a freak'n moron!
But keep dream'n… your Magic Negro is almost ready for prime time. The problem with affirmative action baaies like him, he's never been told the truth. He hides his school grades because as we all know he's marginal at best. But liberal idiots love to swoon to his shuck and jive talk!
Way to ruin an easy win for the Republican Party by chasing the leading Republican candidate out of the running at the last minute only to be replaced by a googly eyed socially awkward geek. Real smart. Funny how none of the conservatives in the blogosphere and on talk radio who demonized Gingrich and the GOP over their support for Dede have admitted their bungling interference. A Democrap hasn’t won in that district in like 150 years. Well not anymore! Thanks ultra right wing blogosphere and talk radio. Your attempt to create a Conservative 3rd party or to purge all moderates from the Republican Party is going to make us lose election after election and ensure that leftists control all branches of government. It was moderate Republican candidates in Virginia and New Jersey who reached out to everyone that won. REMEMBER THAT WHEN THE FAR RIGHT BRINGS OUT THE TORCHES AGAIN TO CHASE OFF A MODERATE REPUBLICAN.
Gingrich especially deserves an apology from the far right smear campaign that targeted him. To question his conservative credentials is laughable. Yet thanks to blowhards like you and Michelle Malkin you've probably killed his political career and our best chance at retaking the White House in 2012. Congrats! In this instance the neo-communist leftists are absolutely right about the self-destructive civil war taking place on the right. Even if Reagan came back to life and ran for President in 2012 you'd probably denounce him as an "evil RINO!111one1!!". *eye roll*
If I were in NY, I would have voted for Hoffman. The Republican party needs to get rid of the RINOs. The big tent theory is hogwash! That's just code for moving away from the conservative values the party once stood for – states' rights, real family values, less intrusion from the federal govt, etc., etc., etc.
"He hides his school grades '
President Obama graduated with a J.D. (Law Degree) magna cum laude from Harvard in 1991. Do you know what magna cum laude means?
"We didn’t do this to create some peashooter third party. We did it to help take over the GOP, to move this brick house back to its foundation. I am vehemently opposed to this movement being cop-opted into a third party and marginalized in the same manner that third parties are usually marginalized."
Dana rocks. The problem with the GOP is it's contemporary history. It's outdated. It's not hip. And pretty lame.
Why not a new party? When you have a boat full of unwanted cargo the task of dumping might outstrip the cost of getting a new boat. A new brand. Fresh start. This POTUS already proved you can take the White House with an empty historical war chest. Sure the MSM will try to apply guilt-by-association propaganda.
Somehow gaining the population of politically indifferent Americans with an identity as arcane as the rotary phone seems insurmountable. Turning the tables on our state media and Hollywood Harvey's Compass might take more than a spark. Something that sizzles. Beyond the chorus are some really unmotivated citizens.
The next 12 months of economic hell might make your cause (make the GOP vibrant) winnable though.
"Hey, let's spend more!"
It is the duty of the executive branch to actually create the budget. During the time frame you mention, that office was filled by GW Bush.
The democrat party is having the same battle as the republican party. Your party is trying to dump the blue dogs. Olbermann is after them. There is infighting between the progressive caucus and the blue dogs. What is the difference. You can't get health care passed not because of republicans but because of the battles within your own party. As a conservative, I thank your party very much. The infighting among the serious blue dog moderates and the lunatic radical fringe will all but ensure many more conservative wins in the future.
it's the Occidental College grades that just somehow can't be found… along with his coke dealing arab buddies. All missing time from Barry's lifestory. Hmmmm…
The race in 23 New York is more indicative of Republican infighting- and backbiting- and a 3rd party candidate who looks and talks like Mr Peepers made it a horserace.
The VA thing was a statewide sweep. Second time in the Commonwealth's history it ever happened.
That would indicate more than 'roads'. NJ was a referendum on crooks- just like Jindahl's win in LA.
Get it?
and now you know why Anderson Cooper instinctively knew- as you do- what a 'teabagger' really is…
Poor Scott did no one ever teach you to read. Bush spent half of that money. Obama spent the other half. Also, add the Porkulus Bill of 1.3 Trillion passed by the House with only RINO(Democrats masquerading as Repubs(lYou know Scaz's party)) Suppot and then the Porkulus Bill of 450 Billion
and your President just added the most deficent spending since the beginning of time. So please tell me again how Bush and the Repubs were the worst of spenders.
Once again if you could read you would also know the reason for the financial meltdown was not Bush's fault but perhaps you might try reading up on Barney Frank or Bill Clinton or Chris Dodd. Normally in a Republic, except under this President(May God have Mercy on our Souls), your legislative branch creates policies and writes the laws. Just in case you don't understand this let me explain, Congress caused the financial meltdown and have had ample time to undo what they did but they don't have the time they are too busy spending My great-grandchildrens money.
However, people like you really scare me because you will not bother read anything other than your Liberal Kool-Aid sites full of misinformation and you will steal from future generations and when it all comes crashing down, you will be the one screaming the loudest for your own actions.
P.S. I only have a three year old Grandchild.
you're getting yourself into trouble here, friend…
First of all 'Bush did it too' is NOT a defense. Second, Democrats swept into power in 2006. Third, Obama is spending like a FLEET of drunken sailors on leave- making the profligate spending of W look puny in comparison. Fourth, we are monitizing our debt. Does Weimar Republic mean anything to you?
And fifth- the ring of pro-communist advisors around your lad should give anyone pause. So do yourself a favor and get fully briefed before you enter the lion's den…
A "Republican" whose political beliefs are MORE liberal than the democrat in the race getting chased out of the running is no big loss. I'm not concerned about whether or not there is a little "R" or a little "D" next to someone's name, I'm concerned with how they might vote and who might influence them. Hoffman made an impressive showing considering the brief period of time he was in the limelight. He's a bit too socially conservative for my tastes, but I'd take that any day over another lying, corrupt big spender.
You can try to marginalize the tea party movement as "ultra right wing", but in reality it includes a broad group of centrists who are fiscal conservatives. I figure if nothing else, this whole debacle revealed the true colors of Dede Scozzafava, proven beyond a shadow of a doubt but her endorsement of the democrat. She'll never run as a Republican again, and more people are aware of the lack of a difference between many "D"s and "R"s. Sounds like an acceptable trade-off to me.
Boy, the only thing the Dhim's are mentioning is the win in NY-23. Axelerod is gloating about this win and they sure can't say anything about the referendum that was shown in Virginia and New Jersey! I agree that the tea parties are doing a lot of good.
The Conservative Edge
Here's to more successful RINO hunting!
Boy, the only thing the Dhim's are mentioning is the win in NY-23. Axelerod is gloating about this win and they sure can't say anything about the referendum that was shown in Virginia and New Jersey! I agree that the tea parties are doing a lot of good.
Of course he doesn't. He's too damned stupid to get anything.
Well I wouldn't go quite that far (it all seems pretty childish to me), but you are 100% correct on why healthcare wont pass.
No, it wasn't about that at all. It was about FIXING PROBLEMS, which the current Democratic administration in VA failed to do.
Ditto in NJ, and in several mayoral and city council races across the country.
Dana is absolutely right. ALL of the elections last night were about the PEOPLE — us, conservatives AND liberals — send a message to the POLITICAL ELITE that their shenanigans will no longer be accepted as "the norm" and that WE THE PEOPLE — conservatives AND liberals — are back in charge!
I believe that Reagan said it best:
"A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must
represent certain fundamental beliefs, which must not be
compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell
numbers….And if there are those that cannot subscribe to these principles, then let them go their way".
Scozzafava should never had the nomination in the first place. If she had won the election there would have been little enough difference between her and Owens to have any meaning.
2010! The first open season on Rino's. New York was just checking the sights! Run the rascals out!
P.S. I don't want to hurt them, just make it so they can't hurt us!
maybe not stupid. But regurgitating talking points does not a debate make…
I'd also add that this was no real loss for the Republicans. The previous office holder, the Republican, voted for cap-n-trade for crying out loud. Would it come as any surprise if he also voted for Pelosicare ?
Umm, if you think Gingrich is the Rep's best chance in 2012, you're very mistaken. This is 2009. The best 2012 candidates aren't being talked about. Why? Because they're too busy fixing problems in their states and their businesses. The 2012 winner will be someone no one is currently talking about…
Great night! He finally showed up!
Who?
THE AMERICAN REGENT
http://naturalfake.wordpress.com/2009/11/04/the-a...
He's stupid, because he either believes this stuff (stupid) or he's too stupid to realize that his liberal masters are using him as tool to further their own needs, not his.
I feel genuine pity for some of these liberals who have yet to realize that they are nothing more than slaves to their party.
naive, yes indeed. We hesitate to judge people's IQ; maybe he's just having a bad day. Either way, as Sean Connery's Jimmy Malone said: \”don't bring a knife to a gunfight\”…
It is good to see that team Obama has sent out the "A" team of paid trolls sense last night.
Your right on point Dana, No Third Party take back the Republican party. When the NRCC does not even look into what they support We The People must! Dede was left of Owens, I am glad Owens won. Doug Hoffman was a fantastic draft pick at the last second. This was the turning point needed at this time. RNC are you listening, you better be! Or is the NRCC and RNC going to keep on supporting Mussolini/Stalin takeover of the private sector.
Actually there is good spending there is bad spending.Spending greatly affects and imrpovesy the quality of life for Americans can draw a positive return on that investment. Bad spending is when very few Americans can benefit from the expenditure and there is little return to the nation on that spending. Healthy Americans can work and contribute to tax rolls and spend in the consumer driven economy. Republicans love money right? Then explain how they can get wealthy from a population that is facing health care inadaquies and job losses. The war in Iraq was billions lost with little return to the average American. The fundamental problem with most Republican economic theory is the realization that the economy is circular, not linear. If the money is only going one way, eventually the money source dries up.
"Your party is trying to dump the blue dogs."
no. we are trying to win them over, not drive them out! BIG difference there.
Does that mean more meaningless tax cuts for the average American? Let's see that slogan would be "More loose change in your pocket. Now go spend yourselves to the poor house." Without spending that will directly affect the economy and a good job creation plan, the current Republican direction requires lots and lots of financing from China and others. America comes first in goverment spending or either China will come in first as leading the world in economic activity. But if one is super rich, it really does not matter. you just transfer funds to the best investment and collect the interest.
the original quote suggested Obama was a marginal student. I provided the irrefutable fact that President Obama graduated with a J.D. (Law Degree) magna cum laude from Harvard in 1991to counter that accusation.
And rather than stay on topic, you guys launch in to ad hominem attacks.
"it's the Occidental College grades that just somehow can't be found"
college transcripts are not public domain. that is a simple fact you will have to deal with, somehow. but carry on with your bizarre conspiracy theories.
"which the current Democratic administration in VA failed to do. "
That is simply not true at all. Tim Kaine, the current gov.of VA was wildly popular, was elected to and served two terms in office, and was therefore simply ineligible to run this cycle.
The loss was more against Deeds, who was weak all around and surprised everyone when he won the dem primary.
"the reason for the financial meltdown was not Bush's"
Bush was in power for 8 years, he drastically expanded the programs started by clinton, frank, dodd, et al.
He had 8 years in office, 6 with a conservative congress, and not only failed to end these dangerous policies, but actually EXPANDED them by a drastic measure!!!
so yeah, we CAN blame Bush.
"he ring of pro-communist advisors around your lad should give anyone pause."
only to a paranoid schizophrenic internet weirdo man,
So in other words, we have to accept on Harvard's word (I wonder how much was donated to them?) that he graduated as claimed.
Doesn't it strike you as immensely strange that the MSM can dig up a DUI arrest (one incident) for GWB from almost 30 years prior, yet no one can provide any information about Obama's 6 or so years in college…
Possibly. In that case, his entire life is full of bad days, judging from his activity on here…
Umm… Governors are term limited to one term in VA. Are you that clueless?
And, to correct you, Kaine *was* popular (no more). Kinda like how GWB *was* popular (no more). It's politics, things change…
"Governors are term limited to one term in VA"
ok, my bad. one as lt gov, then one as gov. but my overall point stands.
put quite simply, a DUI arrest is a matter of public record. a college transcript is not.
carry on with your bizarre conspiracy theories.
all you seem to do is attack me personally. which I am of course fine with, i mean this is the internet after all.
but i encourage you read what this particular thread is about.
I'd love to hear if you have anything I've said that you can actually refute or challenge.
Gingerich deserves an apology?
Obama deserves a Nobel Peace Prize also…………
Well all IS lost if we capitulate, the NY-23 is only for a year, next time around Hoffman will have money and on target messaging and what should have been his party wont be lobbying against him.
Most importantly there will be no spoiler
You mean anti-union?
LMAO
You don't get it, do you? It's all being suppressed. Deliberately. (Not hard, really, given that the so-called guardians of the free world, the press, don't seem to have any interest in actually looking into it.)
Heck, we all saw Al Gore looking down the barrel of his own shotgun in the 2000 campaign, but *nothing* on Obama?
Tokyo-Newt can kiss my a.. I would say the same to you but then you might take me up on it.
Newt and the RINO Leadership snatched defeat from the Jaws of victory, they are tone deaf as to what's going on.
They so badly want to hang out at cocktail parties and play golf on the weekends with blue blood snob friends, well more power to them, we just are not buying it anymore bye bye Newt
You have a history of posting garbage. I'm guessing you're actually paid to spend your day on here.
As for refuting facts, give me a so-called fact to refute and I'll do so, but maybe you should start yourself on one of the many other threads you've infested where you have been challenged and then vanished…
"…..will all but ensure many more liberal wins in the future."
Time will tell, won't it? Enjoy your victory.
"It's all being suppressed. "
nothing is being suppressed. here is where you are entering crazyland!
a college transcript is NOT in the public domain. Members of the press, reporters, investigative journalists CANNOT pull someone else's transcripts.
3rd Party wont work, and 4 more years of Obama would be a disaster, then yeah maybe but who would want to live here after Nazi Pelosi and her henchmen finish with the country.
The next 12 months is going to increase the popularity of real conservatives and make Tokyo-Newt and his buddies irrelevant, we will take the party back from the leftist snobs that run it, count on it.
*thunk*
Details of Bush's transcripts were all over the media. If the press wanted to get hold of Obama's transcripts, they would.
No one made up a Kenyan birth certificate. The authenticity of that document has not been determined either way. (It may be fake, but there's no proof, yet, so it's not a fact.)
My point on Obama is that we know *nothing* about most of his life. *Nothing*. That's simply not possible in today's world, unless it's being suppressed. Or, no one is looking. Neither of which is good.
For a man who spent the bulk of his childhood overseas, it's mind-boggling really.
If you insult tea party attendees you're insulting the average American. Do you know that your philosophy of government knows best will kill everything that's good about this country? Do you really trust Democrats enough to put everything in their hands. If you thought about it for a second you wouldn't.
"I'm guessing you're actually paid to spend your day on here."
you are guessing wrong. unfortunately
"give me a so-called fact to refute and I'll do so"
ok for starters, this particular discussion started when someone claimed Obama was a poor student. I pointed out that he graduated with honors from Law School and Harvard.
you alleged:
"we have to accept on Harvard's word (I wonder how much was donated to them?) that he graduated as claimed."
Obama did not have money at the time he graduated with honors to donate, yet he did in fact graduate with honors.
I challenge you to back your allegations that:
1) Harvard was mistaken or intentionally deceptive in claiming President Obama graduated with honors as they claimed back in 1991.
2) Various donations were made on Obama's behalf to affect the outcome of his graduation standing or performance while attending
you made a passive accusation regarding these two claims, and i challenge you back it up with proof, or stop the outlandish b.s.
the gauntlet has been thrown. I eagerly await your response.
All of the liberal trolls are posting today. In a panic. Because of what the 23rd really means down deep in their psyche. For the first time maybe ever, conservative media took a little known candidate to within two percentage points of winning. They can't even get Obama to close Gitmo. We almost replaced a status quo candidate with one of the people in a little under a month. We swung the election by like 40 points in a district far away. So let the liberals underestimate it…they can't bring themselves to think about it or it would drive them absolutely crazy.
Why hasn't the MSM corrected Pelosi on her "Republican has held that seat since the Civil War" comment?
Democrats held it from 1913-1915, 1917-1921, 1923 to 1973, and from 1979 until 1993.
"My point on Obama is that we know *nothing* about most of his life. *Nothing*. That's simply not possible in today's world"
that is simply not true. Obama came from a middle class working family. Before the age of Facebook and the internet, as long as you stayed out of trouble with the law there was very little info in the public domain on you.
Contrast that with GW Bush who came from a socially elite family with LOTS of media exposure. his life was in the global spotlight starting at an early age when his father first ran for then became a member of the us house of representatives, head of the CIA, and then vice president. His family has LOTS of business ventures, a VERY wide social circle, and that by itself creates a wealth of information that can be garnered from various sources, with different motivations to be sure.
"No one made up a Kenyan birth certificate. The authenticity of that document has not been determined either way."
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/08/03/kenyan-b...
lololollll. this is me, laughing AT you. you have been had!
Personally, I love Pelosi's comments. It's like she's taking a page right from Comical Ali. "We've won here today. Those annoying tea people have no power!" Meanwhile nicely glossing over the very real impact tea baggers had. I have a feeling the Washington elite are scared right now and they should be.
The link doesn't work, but its date is before the birth certificate was even brought forward, so we mist be referring to a different document.
For the record, Obama's family was far from middle class. That's one of the lies the media has fed the population with. His Grandmother was VP of a bank.
But let me spell it out further.
The man is President of the USA. He was a candidate for almost 2 years. He was a US Senator and before that, a member of the Illinois Congress.
How many interviews have you seen with childhood friends, people he went to college with, etc.
If I were one of those people, I'd be all over the press giving my interview (and getting paid for it, because I am a good capitalist).
But we have nothing. Why is that, Scott?
I don't have to prove this. He claims a law degree which no one is disputing. But no one knows anything about the classes he took, etc.
Who were his professors? If he was so broke, how did he get into Harvard? What scholarship did he receive.
I could come up with 101 legitimate questions to which we have no answers. At what point does your common sense kick in and ask "wait a moment, something just doesn't smell right here…"
All we're doing is asking questions Scott. But we're getting no answers.
Same old regurgitated DNC talking points!
If N.J. and Va. were mere "local" races, the DEMS wouldn't have made so many trips to those states, Obama especially! Hell, Barry spent all of last SUNDAY in Jersey!
When Barry won Va. last year, he and his spinners loudly proclaimed that Va, would now FOREVER be a blue state. THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN AND IT TOOK LESS THAN A YEAR! Now, the citizens all want guess what? CHANGE; CHANGE FROM OBAMA !
Ever hear of GRADE INFLATION? Affirmative Action candidates get grades they don't deserve, as do Hispanics and even some whites.
Why won't he release his grade transcripts? How come he never wrote a damned thing for the Harvard Law review? That's unheard of; especially for the president of it !
"The man is President of the USA. He was a candidate for almost 2 years. He was a US Senator and before that, a member of the Illinois Congress."
and evidently you won't be satisfied until he is shown to be an illegal immigrant from kenya who secretly harbors a $1000 day coke habit and an addiction to hookers. that is clearly what you are telling me here. There is no dirt on him, so you conclude it is being "hidden" from you. After all that time in the public eye, on the campaign trail, Fox News and conservative bloggers at him nonstop, I call bullshit on that.
"How many interviews have you seen with childhood friends, people he went to college with, etc."
None. SO WHAT? I do not recall interviews with childhood friends of any other senator or president either. Even if the Obama's did have money, they clearly did not have a social, political, and business circle like the Bushs'. Even you must admit this.
And, just for the record. exactly how many fake obama BC's have you fallen for to date? Just curious.
"I don't have to prove this"
you made the allegation, so you better be prepared to back it up.
we're all waiting…
The election proved it is much more fun to the teabagger than the teabaggee.
Dana, you are right no matter how it is spun, it is about keeping our elected officials of all stripes accountable.
Thank you, you are doing a great job.
Barry went to THE most expensive, most elite private school in Hawaii. He says, in one of his books, that he spent all of his high school years smoking pot, getting drunk, and playing basketball, I bet his grades STANK, yet he got into college anyway. Then, he transferred to Columbia, WITH MORE LOUSEY GRADES ( according to him ), but NOT to the main part pf Columbia……….nope, to a school affiliated with Columbia, which he hopes that nobody will realized. And he won't release his college grades either. And yes, he then got into Harvard Law, but most certainly NOT because of his grades or extra curricular activities ( which consisted mostly of doping drugs, selling drugs, and hanging around with lefties.
*thunk* (again).
I'm not waiting for any such dirt in the slightest.
What I am waiting for is this: this man is the story of the century so far. It's the perfect story of the American Dream (or nightmare, depending on your political views). You'd have thought the media would have been all over this, trying to find every nugget about this man, to show every black child what you can achieve, and how you achieve it.
But… *chirp* *chirp* *chirp* … nothing but crickets.
I'm not looking for dirt. I'm looking for *anything*.
What allegation is that you think I made? That Harvard was paid off? Hah. You are sarcasm-impaired I see.

"lousy grades" is a relative term
you might have been very happy received the grades President Obama considered "lousy"
nice cop out.
One thing I'm noticing in the rejoicing the Democrats are having over this NY-23 race is that they aren't getting the real message directed at them. The message is that a virtual unknown came in and in about a month almost beat their candidate. Of course they'll ignore that message as Pelosi has already demonstrated.
I think we all know why we don't see any of his education background.
For those that are not aware, there's a very serious question as to how a broke African American made it into Columbia, which is not cheap. He was obviously backed by someone, or was on a scholarship. It would have been simple to say his Grandma paid for it (she could have afforded it quite easily), but she didn't.
So who did?
One of the theories is that he qualified on a foreign student scholarship. There's no proof of this (before Scott jumps on me), but it's quite possible given that he did possess a foreign passport (Indonesian, if I recall correctly). While that would probably qualify him, it would of course open up questions on his citizenship, or, worse, show that he was not qualified and therefore committed fraud to attend college.
My personal feeling is that this, along with all the other complete lack of information, is the result of a deliberate strategy to create a whole load of distractions to keep people pre-occupied.
Any pol, who runs as a GOPer, but is even farther left than a RINO, as well as father left than the Dem, who isn't a moderate, then hell NO, that person, Scuzzyfuzzy, should be thrown out of the party.
You really are pathetic and your posts are without any merit or facts.
Do you think this backs up your argument? There are 6 sentences on the first 18 years of his life. 4 of them are about his parents.
There are 4 sentences about his college life.
Wow, comprehensive indeed.
Newtie is irrelevant, an attention whore, bordering on shumcky Chuckie Schumer's state of egomanicalness, and deserves to be told to GO AWAY AND STAY AWAY, by all GOPers and the American populace.
again, if you want an accounting of his every move as a child and young adult, you are simply not going to get it. and it is not a conspiracy.
Umm, he's the President of the USA. Damned straight it's a story! Is your head so far up his rear end that your eyes have simply disappeared?!
How come none of the people he lectured too have said anything about how great a teacher he was (or wasn't) ? If you were someone who'd been taught by the President of the United States, you wouldn't say *anything* to *anyone* ?
Funny way of trying to win them over. Sounds more like threats.

Scuzzyfuzzy is even MORE of a lefty than Owens, the Dem.
*thunk* (yet again)
I'm not saying anything is a conspiracy. I'm just asking questions, as are others.
Again, he's the President of the United States; he's the first black President. You'd think that people would be writing encylopedias on this guy…
That's quite an interesting question, but we all know the answer to it.
If your point was proving that you have no idea what you are talking about, then yes.
so, you don't know of Van Jones, or Anita Dunn, or Scott Bloom,or Andy Stern, or Mark Lloyd?
They have one thing in common. they have ALL been taped quoting, and praising communism.
Wise up…
No I wouldn't ! My GPA was extremely good and I earned them !
