Left Employing Sexist Tactics to Discredit Giles, O’Keefe?

Savor that bit of irony for a moment.
The Left is seeking to employ sexism as a way to take down yet another young woman. A rationale after Ike Turner’s own heart! Leftist ideology replaces “barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen” as the modern-day female prison; step out of line and you will be virtually and emotionally abused by the burdensome patriarchal undercurrent that powers this political rationale. They’re only for choice if that “choice” is the genocide of the female sex; they’re only for female empowerment if it doesn’t disrupt the fragile liberal status quo – and Giles is the most recent example.
As a young woman, I can say that sexist behavior so often perpetrated by the left is a major reason why I and many other women left the Democratic party. It’s gross to know that a bunch of crusty, old, pee-paw Democratic operatives are, at this second, scouring the web for nudie Giles shots as a way to discredit her and O’Keefe’s work.
The reasoning of these ACORN supporters is that the message is only as valid as the messenger is pure. By that “logic,” nothing is reasonable, including that statement.
Thankfully, fellow conservative bloggers like RS McCain, Little Miss Attila and others recognized early on and by way of SEO made sure that their mentions of search terms involving Giles and bikinis brought searchers to their blogs, effectively lampooning those of ill will.
The heat on James O’Keefe and Giles has been such that now ACORN is targeting them for allegedly violating the state’s two-party consent laws in regard to recorded conversation; however the law appears to be murky with differentiating between audio and video recordings. Two citizen journalists exposed a taxpayer-funded group who gave advice on how to skirt the IRS and enslave children in a sex trade and the Baltimore’s city state’s attorney may target the journalists – and not those all-too-willing to facilitate the sexual abuse of minors. I’ve a feeling that if “Dateline NBC” taped their “To Catch a Predator” in Maryland, the pedophiles would be exalted as victims and the show’s producers as bad people for exposing the criminality.
No one on the Left has remarked how awful it was that not a single ACORN worker reached out to Giles and offered to help get her out of a life of prostitution instead of helping to place her into a brothel; or how her “pimp” wasn’t reprimanded for the sexist way in which he used his girlfriend to further his political agenda. The ACORN women have filed suit against O’Keefe and Giles for the “extreme emotional distress” caused when these women were forced to face the their own corrupt characters on tape. Were I Giles, I’d counter-sue for the “extreme emotional distress” brought on by the realization that taxpayer-supported, systematic sexism (by way of facilitating the sexual slavery of women) is considered less of an infarction in this country than two-way consent.
That tells you where women lie in ACORN’s priorities; we’ll see where they lie with the Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s Office.
That is was an investigation and not an ACTUAL “pimp and ho” who walked in to these offices is a weak defense at best and completely irrelevant to the conclusion. The end would remain unchanged regardless whether or not the means were known as subterfuge or real; the sad part is that were this an actual prostitution duo wanting to import children in for a brothel, that brothel would likely exist by now.
A defense fund was established for Giles; she’ll need all the help she can get. I love how they’re calling ACORN’s bluff and willing to drag them into a full-on trial where ACORN’s every misdeed since their inception will be scrutinized.

The sexism of the Democratic Party is a big reason for whay I didn't vote Democratic in the last election. I was appalled by the virulent sexism directed towards both Hillary Clinton (and no, I dd not support her) and Sarah Palin. The "inclusive" left lost me having voted for Democratic since the 1980's. Their behavior towards Giles is reprehensible. I think I'll go now and contribute towards her defense fund.

The lawsuit seems to have no standing under the circumstances. Let me propose a hypothetical: suppose I do a remodel for a customer and they secretly videotape my crews work. Let's suppose some criminal negligence was committed by my guys and the homeowner presented the video of the offense to me and posted the incident on his blog. Did he break wire tapping laws? No; the exchange is business related not a personal matter. Just as a proprietor has the right to videotape/audio record customers at his/her establishment.
The lawsuit should be thrown out and she [and O'Keefe] should counter sue for harassment.

I have to say — the worst part of the entire ACORN scandal was how quickly the answers to the prostitution ring tax/house/illegal “problem” rolled out. The reps in each instance had ready answers on how to address the issue, how to setup the underage prostitution brothels, how to handle management of the “employees” and how to file or avoid taxes as needed. Makes you wonder how many “special situations” of this sort have already been addressed by ACORN. There are probably plenty of underage brothels are out there right now, because each office seemed ready and knowledgeable about how to handle this issue!

I blog on a smaller, conservative blog with a few resident liberals, and what you're saying is certainly true of the liberals who blog there. First, they make statements. Someone will dissect the statement, pointing out how it is dependent on false assumptions, then the liberal gets all huffy and starts ranting about things like shut-up-the-democrats-won or George-Bush-is-a-criminal (though he's in no way involved in what we're discussing), etc. And when *that* argument is knocked down, it just gets worse. The worst part is, I truly believe that liberals have their place in government. A few of them keep the conservatives from getting to legalistic/rigid. But they need to allow for the fact that conservatives may have a greater value in that they keep our country grounded in its roots.
Would it be fair to conjecture that many honest and fair-minded people within the Census Bureau, the United States Treasury as well as corporations and banks have for a long time been uncomfortable being associated with ACORN, and they are now so relieved to have a popular reason to abandon them?
Haven’t we all been in situations where we just didn’t have the guts to “tell it like it is” until something “big” is divulged that agrees with concerns we have had all along? So, we finally have the guts to speak up.

I checked Marylands laws on that wire tap stuff, and I'm no lawyer, but it read to me that you couldn't intercept a communication and use it without consent. James and Hannah didn't intercept anything. They recorded right there on the spot.
I think something in me just snapped with this. Is anyone else out there just ANGRY that they would even consider going after Giles and O'Keefe? My head knows that this was a likely outcome but seeing it actually happen really angers me. At what point are we as a people going to stand up and say "That's enough of this filth!" As the late 60's and 70's progressed the DFL was sucked into the swirling, sucking void that it has become. oddly enough, when i had run my string of drinking and drugging, i was turned onto Rush, and Conservative talk radio. my eyes were opened in a big way in many respects, and i have never looked back. the beauty of it all is now i am the conservative in my family, and as time goes by, the Dems there are coming around to see the light. While very much I doubt they do, what the Left (and particular Leftist anti-Christians) is that Christians and the Right do not expect people to be perfect. It's inherent not only in the Christian view of humans as imperfect fallen beings that need to be saved but also in the perspective that Thomas Sowell refers to as the "Constrained Vision" (human nature is flawed and constrained by that flawed nature so that no human or human solution to a problem with ever be perfect) and the "Unconstrained Vision" (which views human nature as malleable and perfectible, if not naturally good). I view ANY organization aligned with Liberals/Democrats with a sceptical eye, but this REALLY blew the lid off ! I think ACORN should be criminally investigated AS AN ORGANIZATION, and the couple that exposed them, be held up as examples of patriotism and civic duty. Well done Hannah and James !
