Setting aside the arguments given about the ‘unjustified’ nature and cause of the war, if CNN’s compassion to end this situation and highlight the terrible cost of the war was genuine, why not give running totals of other, equally dispicable and unnecessary deaths:

During the 8 years of war in Iraq, compare the loss of our 4,000 troops to the 320,000 drunk driving fatalities here in the US during the very same period. Or how about the number of abortions in the USA during that same period – – – – 7,000,000

While the loss of any one soldier is a tragedy,,,,how about getting some perspective on what are truely unjustifiable deaths,,,,How about it CNN where is your compassion??

If you take that on average, there are around 1,000,000 abortions every year — that's 2,739 babies a day that a murdered. I have heard that some abortion estimates are upwards to 1,500,000 a year — that's 4,109 babies a day. I think the pro abortion crowd should be forced to watch 2,739 late term abortions be performed in one day — maybe they'll change their minds?
