by Chris MoodyAccording to an ad today in the Washington Post, ACORN Chief Organizer Bertha Lewis is looking for a “social media organizer” to take to the Web and do some damage control on the Twitter front. Duties include:
Helping to create or upgrade a presence for Bertha Lewis, ACORNs Chief Organizer, on various social media, including: Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, etc.
Establishing a presence for ACORNs campaigns for example campaigns to stop foreclosures and to fight for immigrants rights on various social networking websites.
Developing new and innovative methods for the use of social networking technologies, including video, to enhance community organizing.
Isn’t the left supposed to the standard bearer for social media? Have the tides turned?

I've actually been wondering who pays for the endless stream of Obama ads along the right side of my facebook page… Obama wants you to get your degree… Obama wants you to do this… Obama wants you to do that… who pays for these ads? They must cost a fortune.

Firstly, congrats to Mr Breitbart for this new thorn in the side of TPTB (the powers that be) and the stunning breakthroughs.
We're sure Glen Beck is grateful. Then, so are we. ACORN is a crimninal enterprise. Always has been. That's how you 'take it to the man'. Only problem is, WE are 'the man'. It's your tax dollars that fund the criminal Rathkes and Jeff Joneses of the world.
Enabled by their soulmates in academia and the pampered poodle nitwits of the State Controlled Media, this bunch is attempting a communist takeover of the US.
And guess who's paying for it?
If you answered the honest taxpayers of all stripes you would be, of course, correct. So, don't give em' any more dough.
It's time to starve the beast out of existence before it uses our own resources to consume us…

If they were smart, they would go low profile and clean up their dirty operation. I of course see their bad reputation reflecting badly on the green movement they are also pushing. Now we face tax cuts and less arts funding. Gonna get uglier out there.

I will do it, and I will do it to the current standards of Acorn…so in that I will anti-support Acorn while tweeting for ACORN!! Woot!!! Wonder how much it pays, and I am sure I can get away with it for years on end….
too little too late, you can't do damage control this far after the damage has been done. You can't hire a Community Manager for social media spaces after something has already blown up.
I thought NEA and the White House were already working on this?

This is not over yet. Many "libs" are out there defending ACORN for all the "good" things they have done and all us (right) "wing-nuts" are harming the poor by bashing ACORN. Take a look at "Media Matters" and their hate and lies for those that brought the corruption of ACORN and the NEA into the light of day.

Poor, poor Bertha! Bless her little ol' heart, she doesn't have a clue. She is the poster gal for ACORN, and she is toxic. She wants help to clean up her image, and the image of ACORN? Not gonna happen! Re-creating herself, or re-positioning herself is like clearing up a sexual social disease with aspirin. It won't work.
Bertha is tainted, in the public sphere that she operates in, that is worse than having syphillis…….

Didn’t she, just last week, put out the news that ACORN was SUSPENDING OPERATIONS AND NOT HIRING ANY BODY UNTIL A COMPLETE INVESTIGATION HAD BEEN DONE??
Instead of them worrying over silly stuff like that, they need to instead do something more constructive like – oh, I don't know – oust Bertha Lewis? While ACORN has had its issues well before Bertha took over, it issues have only spiraled out of control since she did.
The woman is a racist, plan and simple. She has proven, to the entire world, that when backed into a corner she is really only capable of playing the race card, which is not only unprofessional but bluntly put, pathetic. It proves that she has absolutely zero CEO like qualities and that she her skills are limited to defensiveness only and she does not exhibit any beneficial leadership qualities whatsoever .
In order to be truly successful in business, one has to drop defensiveness at the door and instead face criticism. These persons must be able to calmly explain the steps leading up to their actions. When I say calmly, that means patiently and with a genuine smile. Her behavior in her interview with Chris Wallace, and any public speaking she has done, is proof that she has lost her ability to act in a rational manner. If you can't act rational in front of a camera can you imagine what she's like behind closed doors?
I agree with so many that ACORN needs to be shut down, but if for whatever reason this isn't going to happen. Then at the very minimum Lewis must be fired, by her own people. They should be ashamed of her.
How utterly laughable.
Meanwhile, if anyone anywhere hears anything "fishy," alert the authorities at "flag.gov."….until, that is, The Messiah is able to seize control of the internet for any self-proclaimed, so-called "cyber-emergencies."

The right has done a good job in exposing ACORN.
Per the point of this article here tho- while the left "is supposed to be" more new media savvy, I wouldn't say that's across the board to include ACORN. Moreover, I think the right is catching up swiftly. The apex of the disparity was likely during the 2008 election. Since then myself is the right is playing catch up pretty well.
