Newly-Elected Virginia AG Ken Cuccinelli: Activist!
by Christian JosiDuring his campaign for Attorney General of Virginia, Ken Cuccinelli committed himself to acting with an aggressive conservative agenda. He promised voters that he would the office to aggressively fight governmental overregulation and interference wherever he could find it.
In other words, he pledged to use the office of Attorney General for good, rather than evil. After just over one month in office, he’s off to one hell of a start.
Last week, AG Cuccinelli boldly petitioned the EPA to convene a proceeding to reexamine their “Endangerment Finding” which claims that human activity has increased atmospheric greenhouse gases to a point that people’s lives are at risk. As such, they claim, the federal government must impose new caps on emissions and other climate protection policies in the energy sector.
Cuccinelli believes, rightly, that regulations based on the findings of the EPA in this sketchy case would be both legally questionable and detrimental to Virginia’s economy. (Much of the research that the EPA has based these findings upon has come from the questionable climate-gate materials). Accordingly, the AG also has petitioned a federal appeals court to review the EPA’s findings.
Keep an eye on this guy. He means business. And by picking these kinds of necessary fights, he’s certainly going to need backup.

You would have thought Cuccinelli was the puppy-eating, baby-kicking anti-christ up here in Northern Virginia. The DNC poured truckloads of money into his opponent's warchest. They got a small victory when a Commu.. I mean, Democrat got his seat after he took office. They moral midgets up here acted like that was the real stunner, not the GOP sweep of the higher offices .
I can proudly say I voted for this man in November (along with Bob McDonnell for Governor).
Someone let Al gore know that when you bake bread from all over the world yeast releases CO2 when it is cooked.
Virginia also has the first state legislature to pass the Health Care Freedom Act, which is intended to legally protect the right of Virginia residents from being [i]forced[/i] to purchase health insurance. Kind of a middle finger to the nannies in Congress. I'm not sure whether the governor has signed the bill yet, but he's expected to. The Republicans are back in charge and not taking any BS. Woot!

Ken Cuccinelli is a good man who hopefully will turn to the senate after his term as Attorney General ends. He believes in small government and does not lie the way so many politicians do. We are lucky to have him here in Virginia.

Everything the communists/liberals/progressives have tried to invent (e.g. climate warming) are riddled with corruption, fraud and deliberate deception. The massive amounts of monies to support and advance this corrupting fraud have already been paid by the American People, and yet Obama is insisting to impose his C(r)ap and Trade agenda upon us, to extract even more monies from We the People, and all of this dictated by false and fraudulent science, on a worldwide level. Obama, in effect, will control our energy production, by admistrative fiat, which is already being done by diallowing the development of our badly needed energy resources. Here in Texas, we are eagerly anticipating our next Attorney General, Ted Cruz. He has been voted one of the most influential young attorneys in America, he is a constitutional genius and one of the most conservative politicians anywhere. As Solicitor General of Texas (The AG's appeals attorney) he argued before the Supreme Court and won the case allowing the Ten Commandments to be displayed at the Texas Capital. He filed suit (and won) against President Bush when President Bush tried to stay executions in Texas based on international law.
His dad escaped from Castro, arrived in Austin, unable to speak English and worked his way through The University of Texas as a dishwasher.
He will be a conservative hero for all Americans.

I heard Mr. Cuccinelli on AM 1140 a day or two before his inauguration and it was such a relief. Didn't sound like Just Another Pol at all. He was fired up and ready for action, and sounded like he may just think like the tea party folks. We've had a few disappointments now with McDonnell, nothing too major yet (though that support for McCain is pretty bothersome, Bob…), but I am so glad to have someone like McDonnell as Gov. & Cuccinelli for AG. I'm hearing so many good things that are being worked on, it's great, and what a change from the previous 4 years of stupidity. Hopefully these guys won't be ruined by holding political offices. If you get the chance, try to catch Mr. Cuccinelli in an interview, I thought he was pretty darned inspiring. Thank you, fellow Virginians, for finally starting to wake up! Chaaaaaaaaarge!!!

Im moving to Virginia! Finally a state that has a new AG and Govenor with common sense and integrity! Once they set the standard with this case most of the states will follow except California, Illinois, Nevada and New York of course. NJ Govenor cut spending 15% across the board so it looks like a few people are actually confronting spending the correct way. Wait all of these guys are repubs that explains it..

How about we GET RID of the EPA. They are unelected officials who pass laws that we have to live under. How did this ever happen? Rhetorical questions. The EPA, the Dept of Ed, and every other alpha bet soup bureau is UNCONSTITUTIONAL. We need some lawyers with balls and deep pockets. This was not the intent of the Founding Fathers. WE THE PEOPLE control our destinies, not the govt.
