ClimateGate: This Can’t Help
by Christopher C. HornerClimateGate is devastating to the global warming industry, as alarmists are admitting, if mostly off-the-record and to sympathetic journalists (but I repeat myself). On its heels, however, and particularly for those dealing with insistent alarmists whimpering how ClimateGate reveals nothing, this is a must read. In context, it might be just as damning in the eyes of those open to reason.
It comes from an IPCC coordinating lead author who details the IPCC process’s inherent corruption — affirming the details thereof that I also painted after speaking to former lead authors in The Politically Incorrect Guide to Global Warming and Environmentalism — and he joins the impressive ranks of actual “leading scientists” cutting their IPCC ties for the same reason. As you read it recall the specific defenses against ClimateGate’s meaning.
A compelling angle to this is that it appears to have been written days before ClimateGate documents made their way to select servers and before the admissions were widely known.

Unfortunately, for many liberals, global warming seems to be more of a religion, a zealotry, than something that is fact based. They don't seem to care what emails are produces or how many well respected scientists come out in opposition to man made global warming theories. Instead, they are steadfast with the "debate is over on global warming" mantra.
Kudos to sites like yours for continuing to tell the real story. In time, it might force the MSM to begin honestly covering this issue.

I pointed out years ago that global warming idiots were undermining the peer review process and suborning the scientific process because they were making global warming a religion. We are to accept their claims at face value. That's religion, folks, not science. She me data, show me facts, but don't ask me not to notice the man behind the curtain pulling the switches.

There is too much momentum and too much to gain for any revelation to stop this particular train. Obama is hell bent to get the U.S. involved in this scheme. The real problem is that the proposed solutions are just what the Doctor ordered for the one world government types. I am sorry but we are no way ready for one world government. Our competing interests are too wide and varied to even consider this. By hyping the Global Warming Alarmists it gave these individuals the perfect cover to make thier respective moves. I am just paranoid enough to believe this has been co-ordinated from the beginning because the Green Movement and Environmentalists were taken over by the Extreme leftists and former communists about 20 years ago.

May I urge all to go to your local library and bookstores, find a copy of this book and proudly display it where other will see it. Strangely, I just saw this book yesterday, leafed through it and put it on display at the local Borders. It goes into a lot of detail and offers quotes that support the charges that global warming alarmism is pure politics and a fraud and a hoax.
The information in this book needs to get out there.
These scientists are using their clout to make global warming as fact, to continue to feed their coffers for research funds. There is no more fact involved in global warming than there is with the Theory of Evolution, which is taught as fact in our school systems. Thus both of these theories are based on Secular Humanism. A religion! Defined: The doctrine emphasizing a person's capacity for self-realization through reason; rejects religion and the supernatural.
There is no Scientific Method being used if they are manipulating numbers or not sharing information for fear the outcome would not be what they are aiming for if someone else worked with the information they have. They are protecting their little Ivory Tower jobs, that feeds their self-realization, through reason…well you get my point!

Tom, you are correct, money is a major factor. I break the people into two groups. Keeping with my religious analogy, you have the Messiah, and you have the followers.
In the case of the Messiah and church elders, you can and should 'follow the money', because many of them are positioned to make millions or billions. Whether it is due to creating or investing in companies to make huge profits from global warming, or in the case of scientists and academic institutions, receiving large grants.
When it comes to the followers, they don't get any money, if anything this will cost them money (we can call that tithing). While the leaders of the movement have huge financial gains in a 'green' global economy, the average follower has simply bought into the "if we don't do something, the planet will die" propaganda, and now blindly follows, without ever questioning facts or motives.
Ok, I way over used the religious movement analogy, but hopefully the point is clear. The folks like Al Gore and many others have a MAJOR financial stake in further the global warming hysteria, but the average zealot, simple blindly 'believes'.

Aren't liberals the first ones to say to others to keep their religious beliefs off their bodies and/or that religious believers have no right to impose their religious beliefs on others who don't believe in it? The desire for a greater authority some one or some thing that can answer our questions, protect us, make us safe, is part of human nature.
Many people answer that need with a belief in a higher being – in my case God.
Choosing not to believe in a higher being does not make the initial desire go away. It's still there. And people will continue to attempt to fulfill that need with something else. For far too many, that is government.
But I believe it also comes down to basic human fear. If we are are responsible for global warming, then we can do some thing about it. But if we aren't, then we can't stop it, and we are helpless. And people would rather feel guilty than powerless.
You'll never get rid of the money until you get government out of the picture. And government ain't going no where. There's way too many votes to be had.
