My Dad and I went on a Uniworld Rhine Cruise last November. We had a wonderful trip, unfortunately Art wasn’t up to writing a trip report. He has started to load pictures but doesn’t have the motivation to finish. I figured if I posted this it would give him the impetus to complete uploading his photos.

My Danube River Christmas Market trip was fabulous in Dec 2009! The cruise ship Amadeus and the crew were so nice. I enjoyed all of the day trips/excursions that I took. The absolute best was “Sound of Vienna” performance. The Prime Minister was even there that evening!

Isn't it remarkable that all of sub-Saharan Africa is a basket case. It must say something concerning the inhabitants. The Chinese are intervening now with "soft imperialism." As they anticipater a water shortage and insufficient land to fed their people, they are acquiring land in Africa, cultivating it and farming it so as to feed its people. Just as with the hard imperialism, indigenous resources are used for the expropriating foreign power. At least the colonial powers brought the countries whose resources they utilized into the then 20th century. Witness India.

The clamor is for "redistribution of wealth" to the non-productive (possibly because they lack the attributes necessary to enable them to obtain skill sets to utilize modern science and technology. The problem is that as in Zimbabwe, this system that produced the wealth. Our standard of living under the leftists will go down. Zimbabwe is an excellent model. The "peoples" will have "Obama money," which eventually won't be worth anything. Want a trillion Zimbabwe dollars? But a stick of gum.
