Exclusive: Audio From ACORN Claims Jerry Brown Will Whitewash Investigation

Lagstein is ACORN’s chief organizer in the San Diego area. The meeting was held at Coco’s Restaurant, a very public venue. Because of ACORN’s close ties to the Democrat party, Mr. Lagstein clearly felt he was among friends. These two clips suggest the investigation of ACORN announced by California Attorney General Jerry Brown already has a pre-determined outcome.

Lagstein notes that the Attorney General is a “political animal.” He states that he has been in communication with Brown’s office and assures the crowd that “the fault WILL be found with the people that did the video — not ACORN.”
If that’s true, then the fix is in and Brown’s investigation is just a scam on the public. But, targeting the filmmakers will also put Brown’s office in an especially difficult position. Just today, we learn that one of Jerry Brown’s chief aides secretly recorded phone conversations with at least 5 reporters. We’ll see if Brown believes the law applies to his staff as well as the young filmmakers.

FYI, in a radio interview up here in San Fransisco, Jerry Brown already answered the question of whether or not he thought his employee broke the law by secretly recording conversations. . If I understood him correctly, he claims that since the conversation was with a reporter, there was no presumption of privacy, so the law was not broken. He did say it was a "office policy violation" though.
Now, I can see why the person being interviewed (the one who was doing the recording) wouldn't have a presumption of privacy when talking with the press, but I can't see why the press person himself (the actual victim if you believe this sort of thing is a crime) would not have a right to expect his end of the conversation was private.
Still, you have your answer. Jerry Brown has a ready excuse for the behavior of his staff but I imagine that won't stop him from hassling James and Hannah with the same law if it suits his purpose.
This doesn't surprise me one iota. Jerry Brown is one of THEE most liberal bent minded persons on earth in my estimation. The bottom line is that this country simply cannot afford to pay for the extravagent retirement benefits of the unionized State employee. Somehow, someway, the Supreme Court found a way to intepret the ''privacy" clause would be in jeopardy if they were forced to name the fathers of the children seeking PUBLIC funds. As I say, I heard this rumor tho I have not been able to get enough info to confirm it.

Uhhh… if memory serves me correctly, state workers were unionized well before Moonbeam was governor. My mother was a state employee starting in 1963 and was compelled to join the CSEA (California State Employee's Association) as part of having the job.

If we continue the way of the current administration, there is only one way that freedom loving Americans can turn it around. I do believe that no one wants war, be they libs or conservatives. When one group oppresses another in such a way that their livelihood (jobs), freedoms (speech, guns, etc.) and beliefs (morals, responsibility, christianity, etc.) are taken from them what other choice is given. Americans need to pray and get back to the core values and beliefs of our "founding fathers".

I heard that: The healthcare bill will be used to eliminate welfare. Welfare funding will be shifted to pay for public healthcare. They will be creating a matching system to find deadbeat dads who don't pay child support. Once the fathers are found, mothers who collect welfare for their kids, will be dropped from the welfare system. The fathers will be forced to start paying into a child support system, where a federal agency will collect/seize the child support payments, and pass on a portion to the mothers. Fathers will have to pay, or they will be locked up. This will result in mothers on welfare receiving about half of the money they currently receive on welfare. It is estimated that about 25000 men will be sent to prison within two years of this legislation being enacted. My greatest fear is that the Justice Department will as with the 50 State Attorney Generals will let Acorn off the hook. If that happens, men like myself who have stated openly what Acorn has pulled on private citizens for years, will end up DEAD some where. Why do I state this? because Acorn did their worst to me in 1998-99 by setting me up on fake rape charges and everyone from the United States Attorney to the District Attorney in New Orleans knew what was going on 100%.
