Did SEIU Throw ACORN Under the Bus?
by Capitol ConfidentialOn Wednesday, the House Financial Services Committee held a hearing on the proposed Consumer Financial Protection Agency (example #12,567 that government’s solution to any problem is more government.) Appearing on a panel of self-appointed ‘consumer advocates’ was Anna Burger, political director for SEIU, a.k.a ACORN’s big brother.
Rep. Patrick McHenry (R-NC) used his question time to ask Ms. Burger about ACORN. She drops a stunner, “SEIU has cut all ties to ACORN.” Watch the video below:
Of course, don’t believe SEIU has actually ‘cut ties’ with ACORN. Their operations are simply too interwoven for that to be true. Still, you know ACORN’s in trouble when SEIU has to publically dissociate itself from them. Kind of like your big brother or sister saying, “Yeah, I grew up with him and he was a pretty good kid at times. But, I don’t talk to him now.”
Anyway you parse it…Ouch!

We would need independent verification that SEIU has cut ties with ACORN. They are so interconnected it would not seem possible.
Has SEIU cut out political activities also?

A week or two ago, Glenn Beck was on a phone interview with Don Wade & Roma (WLS-AM, Chicago), and Roma told him about a curiosity tour she and Don took to the Chicago Loop office building where ACORN's address was listed. At the building (an expensive South Loop address on Jackson), they couldn't find ACORN listed on the lobby directory, so they asked the security guard. He told them it was listed, then checked himself. No listing, so they took the elevator up to the floor the guard had indicated. It was SEIU offices (the entire floor), including one marked with something about "SEIU Healthcare…" something or other. Presumably, they're getting ready to collect another boatload of taxpayer cash on the (pending) health care "reform" package.
SEIU is as corrupt as ACORN. They shouldn't get a pass. The whole enchilada needs to be investigated from top to bottom. And the SEIU SHOULD NOT RECEIVE ANY FEDERAL FUNDS!!
One other thing, the SEIU is supposed to be firmly entrenched in the Census of 2010. Since they are joined at the hip with the rotten ACORN group (even though they say they have disassociated themselves) this group cannot be trusted to perform an accurate count of the Census. I hope SOMEONE in this corrupt administration will bounce these people OFF the Census like they did ACORN! The White House has become a Viper's Nest of Corruption!
Who is the "consumer advocate" for the "members" of SEIU 790 in Oakland, CA? Anna Burger signed the 2008 LM-2 as "treasurer". The filing includes $4,770,000 in disbursements "on behalf of individual members". What were these expenditures? And the 2009 report is overdue.
Where the hell is Mueller and Holder ? This is preposterous ! Is there not ONE LEGITIMATE Congressional Leader to head the charge ? Republicans ? You are blowing a golden egg back into the chicken ! YOU FOOLS !

I'm not the most savvy when it comes to this stuff, but I have an inkling that ACORN is just one thread woven into a more expansive textile of deception and corruption. It's easy for the SEIU and friends to just pull this ACORN thread and keep warm under all the others.
Somebody, please tell me that you are looking into all of this beyond ACORN.
Remember, all of these folks agree to just about anything as a means to an end. Obama supposedly cuts ties with Rev. Wright, Ayers, Van Jones, ACORN, etc, but only on the surface. They all agree in privated that this is the best way to reach their socialist/marxist agenda. Those folks "thrown under the bus" are simply considered martyrs for the cause. Obama and his ilk use who they need to, for the purpose of the moment, then move on, continuing along the same vein. All of them are liars, and none of them can be trusted. It's all for the greather cause. Keeping Obama and the democrats in power forges them ahead. Stop them dead in their tracks in 2010.

Though I agree with you to an extent, the one of all four you have mentioned that has been the most informative is Glenn Beck.
All have there faults and everyone has there favorite and that's not a bad thing. I just happen to relate more to Beck and, for that matter, Palin because they don't seem to talk AT or ABOVE the masses but rather to and on the same level as the masses. Being a common person myself and the common sense approach has seemed to work more for me than any other.
I'm sure I could expound more on this subject were it not for the purpose of keeping this post short.
