SOS – RED ALERT – New York Times About to Put American Troops in Deadly Peril
by Brad ThorI have just received word that the New York Times is preparing to go public with a list of names of Americans covertly working in Afghanistan providing force protection for our troops, as well as the rest of our Coalition Forces. If the Times actually sees this through, the red ink they are drowning in will be nothing compared to the blood their entire organization will be covered with. Make no mistake, the Times is about to cause casualty rates in Afghanistan to skyrocket. Each and every American should be outraged.

As chronicled here, here, here, and here the Central Intelligence Agency via the New York Times has been waging a nasty proxy war against the Department of Defense over its use of former military and intelligence personnel to do what the CIA is both incapable and unwilling to do: gather the much needed intelligence that keeps our troops safe.
According to Washington Post columnist, David Ignatius, “[T]he U.S. military has long been unhappy about the quality of CIA intelligence in Afghanistan,” and the senior military intelligence officer in Afghanistan, Maj Gen Michael T. Flynn went so far as to publish a stunning report calling for, “sweeping changes to the way the intelligence community thinks about itself.”
The report goes on to quote General Stanley McChrystal who stated that, “Our senior leaders – the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Secretary of Defense, Congress, the President of the United States – are not getting the right information to make decisions with … The media is driving the issues.”
Through its use of the New York Times, the Central Intelligence Agency has tried to embarrass the Defense Department into shutting down what, by all accounts, has been an amazingly successful program which has dramatically saved American and Coalition lives and continues to do so on a daily basis.
But thanks to the beating the folks on the 7th floor at Langley and the New York Times have taken in the blogosphere, they are about to go for broke and to do so in a fashion so grotesque that every American should be moved to action.
These morbidly conjoined twins have entered dangerous territory. They are not only putting at risk the lives of the brave men and women working day and night to keep our troops safe (who, along with their families, will surely be targeted for retribution by al Qaeda and the Taliban), but they are also calling down a host of legal woes via the Intelligence Identities Protection Act (made famous in the Valerie Plame affair under the George W. Bush Administration) as the intelligence gathered and reported on by the Defense Department operatives in question is most definitely classified.
So while the New York Times stands ready to once again put American lives at grave risk in order to sell a few more papers, the Central Intelligence Agency appears committed to its misguided “Kappes Doctrine”, (so named for Leon Panetta’s number two man who many in the intel game blame for being the “hidden hand in many of the nation’s intelligence failures.”). Per the Kappes Doctrine, which was so disastrously tied to the F.O.B. Chapman attack, the Agency is happy to pay foreign intel services to take the risks as long as the CIA can take the credit (and in this case, continue to claim that what the Department of Defense is doing every day on the ground in Afghanistan can’t be done).
But fortunately for our troops, it is being done, it has saved countless lives, and it will continue to do so, unless the Times publishes its list.
To prevent its publication, I am calling on all Americans: Democrats, Republicans and Independents to bombard the New York Times and insist that they refrain from outing these brave Americans who are risking everything for the safety of our troops.
What the Central Intelligence Agency and the New York Times has cooked up is a recipe for unmitigated disaster and we used to have a word for it in our lexicon. We called it treason. But unlike the treason committed by the Times in the past, we have been granted a heads up and this time each one of us can do something about it.

I really don't think they can blame this one on Bush.
It is treason to use this nation's blood and treasure fighting wars that only benefit foreign nations. It is heroic any measure to end that treason, which the NYT is doing.
This is beyond TREASON!!! The NYT should be hauled into court for this!!!
"in order to sell a few more papers"
That is not why they do what they do. They are still chapped off about Viet Nam.
Court? So they can be made into heroes by the progressives in the courts…
For some strange reason, I'm sure the Times has the Obama administration's approval.
I a not usually an advocate for violence, but if they go through with this, their building needs to be burned to the ground!!!!!!!! This is nothing less than a declaration of war against every current and former military member!
TROLL ALERT!
TROLLS are much like gremlins (remember the movie in the 1980s), if you feed them they only reproduce and become more arrogant.
No surprise here, The New Yuck Slimes hates the military and their "coverage" of this proves it.
Good riddance NYT, we won't be missing you when you finally go down for the last time.
Do you mean the Times is going to do a Rove/Cheney/Libby outing of CIA agents?
I thought you fools approved of that. Oh, my bad. IOKIYAR.
And I don't believe it for a second. And you're stupid if you do.
It is heroic to release the names of these brave souls who can then be caught, tortured, and potentially beheaded? You say some dumb stuff on here but this is going over the line way too far.
Next time think before you make such an erroneous comment.

Barbara or Laura?????
You are right about their wrong doing. You are not right it destroying a perfectly good building. There are much better ways to find a new tenant for that nice building.
Why do you think King zero has not ended the wars in the Iraq and Afghanistan? If the brave Americans in harms way over there came back to the USA, the progressives would have a lot more unhappy souls to contend with over here.
TROLL ALERT!

We know, anon. George Bush did it.
Tool.
If they do not publish here they will leak it overseas My guess is the list shows up on Aljazeera. If the Cia has decided that treason is a worthwhile tactic they will not stop until the deed is done. I would sure like to be at the next Joint Chiefs meeting when this crap hits the fan. Pray for the patriots. Pray for their widows
Actually you can blame this squarely on the Bush/Cheney Administration. The tension between the DOD and the CIA goes back to right after 9/11 and the initial invasion of Afghanistan. Cheney and obviously Rumsfeld who was Secretary of Defense hated and didnt trust the CIA and knew that if the war on terror was fought the way it was supposed to be fought, as an intelligence and police action, and not a full on military invasion, they both would have little if any power in the struggle. That also meant little if any money for their friends in the defense industry. So instead they stepped on the toes of, bullied, and scapegoated the CIA every chance they got. Obviously this struggle between the DOD and the CIA continues even under Obama. for further info on this watch PBS's Frontline, Bush's War. Or perhaps PBS is just more liberal lies? In any case, facts be what they are and the world is not divided simply into good and evil as much as you wish it was all just a episode of Star Wars.
What the hell is the prupose of our own CIA and DOD fighting against each other? Where is the unity this president said he'd bring (try not to laugh at that)? What happened to the unity of being American and fighting for freedom? This political crap is ticking me off.
I 2nd that Missy. Hopefully the NYT will NOT receive a bailout from the feds when they do go under.
Holder is probably behind it with the NYT and CIA…
The end justifies the means! To destroy America from the inside.
Lets just pay some Union thugs to do it… I'm sure they have the tool and know-how to do it…
My God. We The People need to clean house at EVERY level of Government. We have a lot of work to do and it will take decades to fix our nation if God so wills.
Pray for the protection of these operatives.
I think the Tea Party needs to do a protest at the NYT office right away if possible.

If the times proceeds with this, maybe its time to go national with a list of all who are involved, including home address, phone contacts, family, schools, associates, and supporters. After all what is good for the goose is good for the gander.
I think if this happens, everyone involved should be charged with treason.
Probably.
What if they are waterboarded? That is ok, right?
I'm sure the all little lefties will agree that if George Bush was guilty of treason because Richard Armitage outed a PENCIL-PUSHING DESK JOCKEY with a personal vendetta against the administration, then the Old Gray Lady's weasels should be frog-marched off to Gitmo for outing agents who go into in harms way to protect Americans.
But then again, liberals sort of have a penchant for hypocrisy.
The mainstream press sucks!! They are like vultures ready to scavenge any story that may temporarily boost thier sales, even the sacrifice of the safety of our own citizens. MIght as well send the enemy a "hit list".
If they want to sell more papers then start reporting the truth about Obama and what his real intentions are…now there is a story!!!!
Now you are onto something. It is not the politicians that we should be protesting (this is like being mad that a fish swims), we should be protesting the fact that the press is in bed with the politicians instead of reporting on their fish-like behavior.
Jesus!
Sh*t is getting really CRAZY NOW!
I've been saying for the longest time that when they stopped executing traitors, they gave them carte blanche.
You got that right!
Not quite how I would put it, but I have to agree.
Hey troll, most of our special operators are waterboarded as part of their training. I'll take being waterboarded any day of the week over beheading. What about you, asswipe?
Reading this I'm not to surprised about what the NYT (or should I say New Pravda) is going to say. I stopped reading that rag 30 years ago.
What concerns me is who dropped this information on New Pravda's desk. There is little doubt that this country has a group of individuals working in sensitive positions who are not handling documents in accordance to the rules. That it continues unabated only shows the blind eye that is being provided to this activity by the politically appointed.

As a veteran of 6 years during the Viet Nam era who served honorably, I stand behind every one of those brave young souls now serving in our military. The very idea of these fine people being put more in harms way by their own country is unspeakably foul. If the NYT and the CIA commit this treasonous crime against our troops, I will do everything I can possibly do to sound the alarm to every veteran in this country. The oath we all gave still stands.
If this results in harm to any of our people, there WILL be HELL to pay.
Piss off, anus!
Funny how it is the NYT that puts troops in peril……I think it is interventionist foreign policy that does that!
From what I understand of this, we have American covert operatives in harms way doing what others have failed to do, putting their lives on the line, saving American and Coalition lives, and providing the Department of Defence with whatever they couldn't get from CIA? And, the NY Times is going to out these people? I have a million things that could be said about this but let me submit this…If these guys are as good as it appears they are, if these guys are operating and winning in the environments they are, and I would guess that they are hand-picked, elite and all of that stuff…I would not want to be the one who outed these guys. I would imagine they might have a case of the ass with putting their families in harms way…I would. They are protecting us…Aren't we supposed to protect them?
The dirty little secret is that they want to get rid of the all volunteer army, and anything they can do to destroy morale is to that end.
I agree with everything except the tea party protest at NYT office… Tea Party is about taxes.
We need a simple "anti-communism"/"anti-treason" protest at the NYT office. Anyone live in NY that wants to take action on this?
Yeah, because the CIA was telling them a truth they didn't want to hear, so some extreme Zionist kooks like Wolfowitz, Perle, Feith, and company whipped up a phony "intelligence" group called the Office of Special Plans that circumvented the AMERICAN intelligence community….after all, this is about what ISRAEL wants – Americans killed and impoverished fighting their wars for them.
Look how short lived this was -http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Office_of_Special_Pl... – they had only one purpose.
I 2nd both of you…. NO MORE BAILOUTS! But think about how much more power NObama will have if they DO buy out the NYTs as he did with GM! VERY tempting to have DIRECT control over propaganda, as opposed to indirect control over it.
What happened to the unity of being American and fighting for freedom?
That is a fairy tale. Governments don't fight for freedom – there is nothing in it for them! Geez, you people are naive.
That is SICK.
Someone ought to publish the home adresses and phone numbers of all NYT employee's.
So you're saying NObama is powerless to stop the in-fighting? Well, I agree with you that NObama is worthless…
Don't agree that this falls on anyone but NObama.
You know… if you want to dig… Lets go back further and blame Clinton, no wait Bush Sr, no wait Kennedy, no wait Lincoln….
Nothing new here folks about the treasonous New York Slimes. For years and years, they've been the eyes and ears for any U.S. enemy. The NYT are the enemy behind the lines, and within. It doesn't matter to them if our nation is at war, and they compromise military lives and/or operations for a story. IMO, this rotten anti-American newspaper should have been padlocked, the owners, editors, and irresponsible employees charged, tried and convicted for sedition.
/Salute!
PS: my "name" is not about being unlucky at love (as one of my past girlfriends suggested), but was one of my callsigns during Desert Storm…
You would kill Americans to sell NY Times papers. You sir are traitor and despicable!
So, HasselTroll, you ever serve in the military? you ever put your dumbass on the line for anything? If not, why not let the real men and women of this country do the heavy lifting? The Times is a failing rag because of their bias and you sir, are nothing more than a Liberal shill who hasn't got the guts to defend what is honorable.
go back to Mommies basement and wait for the cookies to arrive.
Not sure the point of the last part of your comment. You only need dig as far as W and Cheney. Problems began right after 9/11. Well. I'll leave W out of it. W put off Iraq to fight in Afghanistan even at the chagrin of Cheney/Rumsfeld/Perle/Wolfowitz and the staff of the Weekly Standard and American Enterprise Institute. grant it, he eventually capitulated and sent the country to hell.
I understand you cant abide your heroes being implicated in such a major screw-up but welcome to reality. Obama is just cleaning up the mess of 2001-2008.
Certainly smacks of TREASON but it would take an American loving Attorney General to issue a cease and desist order. This will never happen under the Traitor-in-Chief's watch. I say let Pinch and his fellow Marxists perform the crowning blow to an insolvent and weary old news rag…The New York Times. They have been irrelevent for over two years…..look at their income statement. They are finished….
Sine Die, ya traitors. Hope you rot in prison under the next administration !
Wow. Men and women of much more substance that you, Dhasselhoff, are willing to risk their lives so you can spew this crap. And you don't even seem grateful about it.
You are a despicable, cowardly little peon. A little part of me actually hopes that you get exactly what you don't realize you are asking for.
Hey troll, most of our special operators are waterboarded as part of their training.
No they aren't. The technique might be demonstrated to them, that is all. When they are waterboarded and forced to admit they cheat on their wives or are homosexuals or something then they will have been waterboarded.
. . . more substance THAN you . . .
typo
Get your facts straight. This problem started right after 9/11 for reasons purely born of who has the power in the so called fight against terror. Terrorism needed to be fought as an intel and police action which would have put all the power in the hands of the NSA and CIA. But Rumsfeld/Cheney/Wolfowitz are DOD people and the DOD wanted a military fight for their own ends. Didn't help that Cheney and Rumsfled hated the CIA either.
Bush has killed Americans protecting a country that has attacked us (Israel) – that is treason.
So, HasselTroll, you ever serve in the military? you ever put your dumbass on the line for anything?
I would for this country – like if they were shooting people crossing the border.
Don't assume Bush qualifies as MY hero! You know what happens when you assume…
Funniest quote I've seen this year… 'Obama is just cleaning up the mess of 2001-2008.' LOL!!! He hasn't cleaned ANYTHING up. He's made EVERYTHING worse! Just because you idolize him and make an empty statement, doesn't mean he's done anything.
Just like the Dems, all you want to do is point fingers at others instead of taking stock in reality and taking repsonsibility.
The difference here is that these people are actually under cover doing what is right.
You sir or maddamn ANON are a total buffoon if you think that Valery Plame was undercover in a war zone.
All you can still say is Bush and Cheyny etc. Try pulling your head out of your @ss and get some common sense along with some national pride. for what's left of the nation.
I see cessesion coming because it is better to be part of a strong state than a weak country thanks to your moron in office OBama.
If the NY Times does this, my guess is that their reporters around the world are going to find it much more difficult to get any cooperation from either the CIA field officers or military. Regardless of any scheming behind the scenes by the zealots in Washington DC and New York, the people on the front lines in the field will justifiably regard the NY Times as their enemy. That is likely to make it even harder to get good reporting out of dangerous places, because nobody will be keen to forewarn the reporters to the dangers of their own stupidity. There will be nobody helping them. Remember Daniel Pearl?
This problem has been a long time coming!! How about doing your own research, before repeating everything that medismatters is trying to shove down your throat!!!
The Obamao Regime with the help of the MSM are coordinating a plan to demoralize our troops and future recruits as well as the CIA by prosecuting them, keeping their hands tied, and printing their names. This will weaken the country and allow defense spending to be used for more entitlement programs and redistributing the wealth to the lazy takers and third world countries.
No I would say "Just like the Dems, all you want to do is point fingers at others instead of taking stock in reality and taking repsonsibility" is the funniest statement of the year. If I had to guess though Obama is siding with the CIA against the DOD.
We have the OATH KEEPERS!! God bless them all!!
The irony of your replies is hilarious.
How does this translate into communism? LOL! This is a fight between the DOD and the CIA. Obama is obviously siding with the CIA because the Bush administration sided with the DOD. The NYT is also on the CIA payroll.
…are willing to risk their lives so you can spew this crap.
They risk their lives for freebies like college that tax payers have to provide. More big government. The military is only a threat to our freedoms.
Wow, from the looks of these comments it's obvious the article went over everyone's head. This is about power politics not ideology. This fight between the DOD and the CIA goes back to right after 9/11 and the Bush adminstration with their lemmings over at the Weekly Standard and the American Enterprise Institute. This was about who gets to fight the war on terror. The military or the intelligence agencies. What the hell this has to do with communism for you people is just plain weird. Why is it that grey lines baffle you all so much?
Um no, that actually comes right from recent history and sorry to inform you is in no way a partisan issue even though it helps simplify it for your guys.
But if I am wrong, which I am not. when did the infighting between the CIA and the DOD start?
Sorry I dont look to Michelle Malkin or Red State to get my facts about recent history.
[...] » SOS – RED ALERT – New York Times About to Put American Troops in Deadly Peril &#… [...]
It's not nice to fib like that.
Perhaps you didnt read the article clearly. It says the CIA via the NYT. I know you guys see New york Times and go crazy but try to not exclude the part that says CIA via the New York Times. So in light of that this is a power struggle between the CIA and the DOD that started during the Bush Administration right after 9/11.
Great idea! Let's see how they feel about being put in the lime light for their treasonous crimes….
Her own husband did that! They spent millions trying to parlay it into something it wasn't and wrote a book, went on TV, spoke on TV…. yeah, they wanted to stay in the closet alright… And at the end of the day they nailed that all powerful Scooter Libby.
it pains me to say this but i have to agree. rumsfield got this whole sh*t storm rolling. one of w's biggest failings was appointing this twit head of the dod. he had no interest in fighting covertly…he'd rather roll into iraq with a giant armada like he was julius ceasar. he ignored much more than just the cia. he believed he knew more than his own generals. however, rumsfield's ineptness wasn't motivated by greed and oil. he wanted his place in history. unfortunately w paid the political price allowing rumsfield to dictate the war's progress from the get go. now where the cia and dod stand now is o's responsibility. continuing to blame the previous administration is a cop out. he's had a year to get this right…
I have a question for you Dhasselhoff. In WWI ot WWII were you for the US armed forces fighting in Europe and other places, or was the US interventionist foreign policy placing US troops in harms way?
I know I would rather fight over there in a foriegn country than I would here in America. I know that by fighting there my family is safer than if we was fighting here.
Nice tactic Obama fans, piss off the military who support the constitution… When the shit hits the fan and the next revolutionary war starts here in the US, do you "really" think they are going to fire on civilians or the politicians and news rags who betrayed them???
What do you mean? Obama and the Democrats are just as controlled by CFR as the Republicans.
Contact the companies that advertise with them or any of their affiliates and let them know we are holding them responsible too. Boycott !!! let the free market work.
Then if NYT still does this traitorus thing we should tar and feather at the very least all who sympathise with these traitors and Hang all the traitors that let this happen.
Again I know these people take their marching orders from the whitehouse so impeachment is in order!
No, you effin' moron, they will ACTUALLY be tortured and then beheaded with a rusty scimitar.
I'll just bet that reading that last sentence gave you a little stiffy, didn't it, you scumbag?
No, you are aiding and abetting our nations enemies.
NO, it's demonstrated ON THEM, ignoramus.
You're such a vile sack of crap that you don't even care how ignorant or perverted you are. I hope there's a brain aneurysm and some Obamacare in your near future.
So that would be a resounding NO!! Its easy to spout off about something you know nothing about. Especially when the men & women of our Armed Services are willing to put their lives on the line to ensure you have that freedom.
I wish just one politician had the guts to prosecute the NY Crimes.
really, the military is a threat to our freedoms? REALLY?? so, what, we should disband the military? then what? tell people who want to attack us "STOP! or i shall say 'STOP' again!"
Seriously, go die you Jew hater.
Squables between agencies always existed even prior to President Bush. The difference between then and now is that the people in office now do not care about what damage will result they only care about what power they achieve.
There is no other name for this TRAITOR is what it is and when the time comes I hope we stand together and deal with these TRAITORS swiftly and without regard for their rights there should be nothing possitive written in history about these people. They are the worst of all that walk the earth and should be remembered as such.
You don't fight for anything but the TV remote, you spineless coward.
It's not a left right issue, you have a rosy view of government and empire, and no distinction between patriotism and nationalism. Keep reading and good luck!
umm, Afghanistan isn't actually IN the Middle East. it's in Asia.
Did you finally drink yourself stupid?
LC-130s?
and Bush wouldn't pardon poor Scooter, much to Cheney's disliking, lol.
Wow d_ass, you are completely off the rails – keep smoking dude, life is good in your little world
If I did this, as an individual, I would be tried for treason. If not, I still couldn't live with the guilt of causing the death of the operatives who put their lives on the line daily. Most of the men and women who are fulfilling this unpleasant and dangerous duty have families back home. These spouses and children did not sign on for dangerous duty and their lives should not be endangered by such irresponsible journalism, and believe me, I use the word "journalism" very loosely where the Times is concerned.
