Review: David Limbaugh’s Crimes Against Liberty

No better book has been written compiling the evidence against a president that Limbaugh’s Crimes Against Liberty. “This book is about a young presidency,” Limbaugh opens. “[Y]oung, but already the most destructive in American history. Everything about Barack Obama’s radical background signals his visceral contempt for America – its culture, its values, and its political and economic systems. His unmistakable goal is to bring America down to size – an America that has been, in his view, too big for its britches, selfish, exploitative, unfairly wealthy, arrogant, and dismissive.”
That’s a powerful thesis, and Limbaugh spends the better part of 400 pages proving it in painstaking detail. The amazing thing is that he doesn’t even scratch the surface, as he told me on my radio show in Orlando. Every day, Obama does something new to destroy the Constitution and undermine America’s founding values.
Limbaugh isn’t calling for impeachment – he doesn’t think Obama has committed impeachable offenses, at least not yet.
But he does make a damning case against Obama, beginning with chapters on Obama’s narcissism – “To say that he has an enormous ego is an understatement”; Obama’s deception – “Obama’s self-portrait as a uniter was at best an exercise in self-delusion, at worst an example of old-fashioned deceit”; Obama’s outright lies – “Everything about him reeks of Alinskyite, end-justifies-the-means politics”; Obama’s radical partisanship – “Obama’s notion of a bipartisan Super Bowl party was to invite one Republican congressman along with about forty Democrats”; and Obama’s bullying nature – “For Obama, it’s more than just a matter of political power. There’s also his egotistical sense that he is absolutely right about everything, that everyone else is wrong, and that if given enough time, he can persuade the rest of the rubes of the superiority of his positions.”
That’s just Part I. Part II describes Obama’s crimes against American institutions, including the private sector, the Constitutional order, and American industry more broadly; Part III describes Obama’s offenses against America’s national security. With each page, it becomes more and more clear that Obama is not merely misguided in the mold of Jimmy Carter or foolish in the mold of Herbert Hoover – he’s dangerous, in the mold of foreign leaders who gradually centralize more and more power to themselves while assuring the people that they are interested only in national unity and “solutions.” Obama has aspirations to transformational change, and he uses his supposed pragmatism as a tool for ideological radicalism.
If we learn one thing from Limbaugh’s Crimes Against Liberty, it is that we cannot simply see Obama in the most favorable possible light. We willfully blinded ourselves to this man when we elected him president; he took advantage of our hopes and our dreams. We can no longer afford to pretend that he is an innocent victim of his own ideology. He is a tool of that ideology, and he has no scruples about doing whatever he must to forward those ideological ends.

Very timely book. We are in the battle of our lives against tyranny. Our nation is at stake and the quality of our lives. Here and now is our time to rise up and confront those who wish to take away our liberty.
The question is what evil force foisted this disaster on the country?
Limbaugh is right. History will not be kind to this president.
0bama is a dangerous man, and becoming more so with each passing day. The ones who continue to defend and idolize him will not realize their folly until they are on the point of a sword—-or scimitar, if you will.
The god of political-correctness that the left worships is at least one facet of that evil force.
We, the people, took our liberty for granted and we allowed others to make decisions for us. Evil cannot flourish in the light of day.
I can't wait for this book. Tried to get it, it's hard to find. Funny, the other day I was walking around in Borders and came across a section of Beck books, then I looked and the WHOLE aisle was on conservative issues. Made me chuckle.

The reality of obama getting re-elected has a decent probability, IF he moves to the right and allows the republicans to fix the economy. It gave clinton his second term despite all of the public transgressions we all had to witness and live through.
I'm glad Limbaugh wrote this book so its all documented but for me to read it would be like preaching to the choir. I knew what Obama would be long before he was elected because I paid attention. The icing on the cake was when Obama told Joe the Plumber that he wanted to "spread the wealth around," that's classic Marxism and anybody with a inkling of historical knowledge should have dropped Obama like a hot rock at that very instant.
Obama in fact hates America and all it stands for. We have had Communist in the White House before, that's not new, but I don't think we have ever had a more anti-American president than Obama.
Good points. The other scenario – of course – is that Republicans gain control of Congress and a stalemate is created; nothing gets done and then Obama blames everything on the Republicans (which, of course, he has always done).

I do concur that impeachment should be off the table until at least Q2 2011. Americans have better tasks to complete. But if this joker steps on the accelerator in defiance of the new Congress then let impeachment blossom.

Obama is no Clinton. While both are egotists, it takes different forms: Obama, unlike Clinton, is too convinced of his own infallibility ever to play the chameleon.
I suspect that this is so because Clinton's response to fatherlessness was a pathological need to *earn* (or con) the esteem of others, whereas Obama developed a belief that he *deserves it,* just because he's The One.
Although most of us knew the points illustrated in this book long ago, it's good to see someone with some standing back it up with page after page of glaring examples.
The question is….. not only how quickly can we put a stop to it, but how can we ensure an administration like this one NEVER happens again?

What you missed was the chatter of obama's advisers who were convinced that Clinton's big mistake was "going too slow" on the big "progressive" agenda items. That's why obama's first act was to INSURE a continued economic crisis. This is what allowed him to force his evil social policies through, as most of the country was focused on their own economic pain.
Don't forget greed. One of the biggest problems with our electorate is that far too many of them are on the dole. They will only vote for the one they think is going to give them stuff.

No President of the United States can create either a budget deficit or a budget surplus. All spending bills originate in the House of Representatives and all taxes are voted into law by Congress.
Democrats controlled both houses of Congress before Barack Obama became president. The deficit he inherited was created by the Congressional Democrats, including Senator Barack Obama, who did absolutely nothing to oppose the runaway spending. He was one of the biggest of the big spenders.

Ha. I'd be happy if they just required mandatory drug testing to receive welfare. On one hand that would eliminate about half of the welfare recipients. And on the other, it would insure those who DO go to vote aren't so stoned all the time that they actually believe obama's crap.

I'm betting the average welfare recipient would be much more willing to forgo their voting rights for a period than to be drug tested.
Better than drug testing — what if you had to pass a background check — say no convictions for a serious crime for the last three years — and voting rights suspended for the period they are on welfare.
I know I'm dreaming, but its something that I think would eliminate the massive welfare rolls over time. And the Democrats would no longer be able to buy votes with taxpayer money. Because whoever they give stuff to, can't vote. I bet all the bleeding hearts in the Democratic Party would suddenly have no compassion for the poor people whatsoever.

Same here. I have family in Puerto Rico and Puerto Rican's figured him out right away. I even got a call from my aunt warning us that Obama is a Marxist. All of the Cubans living in Puerto Rico sounded the alarm right away. Obama only got like 30% in the primaries in Puerto Rico. If only the rest of the country had seen that he is a Maxist. Crimes Against Liberty is high on my list….
It is a sad day for America when we have elected ourselves a President that seems intent on destroying us and our entire country. Why don't we have laws to stop insanity and if we do have those laws why, in 230 years, haven't we protected those laws so that they can't be circumvented by the likes of Obama. This man has done more in less than two years to destroy America and get himself impeached than all other Presidents in my lifetime, combined. Our laws should protect America from this sort of thing and yet, they aren't. Our law makers need to make sure that this never ever happens again. That is, if there is anything left of our country if/when we finally get rid of this nightmare we call Obama.
Obama BELIEVES in socialism. He was striking while the anvil was hot — while he had a Supermajority. And I think he was shocked that his hyper Marxism was too far left for even many members of his own party.

I like to have open minded debate about issues like this. But, in the spirit of knowing your enemy, we really need to think about this politically. You start talking about "restricting voting rights" and all you'd hear is that you are a fascist, you are a racist, you want to take voting rights away from black people. Blah blah blah. And you won't get public support, because nobody wants to be called a "racist."

It can be fixed, but it will require a thorough cleanhouse in the Senate and the Congress. Also, the real damage is in the Supreme Court. Obama has managed to appoint two Marxists to the supreme court in the likes of Sotomayor and Cagan. These are two of the worst, if not the worst supreme court apointees. These are life apointments, which means they will be causing serious damage to the constitution for the next 30 to 50 years. Hopefully there will be no more appointments from Obama and hopefully the next president will appoint constitutional experts to the supreme court. We need constitutional law, not case law.

Certainly obama is more "pathological", but if he cannot get all of his destructive accomplishments done within the first 4 years, all bets are off on what he will do to progress his agenda.
Oh without a doubt you will be called Hitler for wanting to suspend voting rights. But to overcome this would require a carefully worded campaign that explains to the American people that we must take the "vote buying" element out of welfare. I think the majority of Americans would understand this and agree with it if enough effort was put forth to get that message out.
We all know its illegal to "BUY VOTES" and welfare, since its beginning has been nothing but a vote buying campaign disguised as compassion for the poor. So my idea doesn't eliminate anyone's voting rights, they would voluntarily SUSPEND this right, just like you voluntarily suspend many of your rights when you join the military, for whatever period you receive the PRIVILEGE of welfare.
So even welfare itself is still available and the "vote buying" element is taken out of it. But yes John, I know I'm dreaming. No politician would dare make such a suggestion. But I still think the nuts and bolts of it would work if only we had a leader with enough courage.

Believe it or not, IMHO Obummer isn't the problem, at least not the real problem. Take a look at the people behind Obummer, the money trail that led to Obummer. Why do we allow people like Soros to live and do business here? This man (Soros) has no compunction about who he destroys, or what countries' economy he diminishes. Think about it, even if we the people take back America from the hands of the Marxist, there'll still be people like Soros to fund another Obummer, or the corrupt dept. of Ed, or another wacky left wing org. Obama, and his liberal enablers in both the corrupt Congress and the private sector, are a clear and present danger to our Country and our way of life.
Many people are waking up to the fact that Obama is an evil man–but not near enough. And not soon enough. We need to vote good people into office and block his every attempt to destroy our Constitution. And we need to vote those out that support him. Then we need to vote him out—or impeach him. It doesn't matter which tool we use. Sooner is better. That would probably be impeachment.
I blame a generation (Obama included) brought up to view Affirmative Action as the norm.
Obama thinks he gets a different set of rules to play by, and that he is judged with extra credit given.
And the sooner 0 hits ruin the safer we will all be.

I appreciate your thinking, but like you say here, we don't have this kind of leadership. That's unfortunate, but it's reality and we need to understand that.
At this point a lot of Conservatives are "demanding" the Republicans create a new "Contract" style platform document. I'm a little reticent. At some point before November, they DO need to do that. But I really believe that if they put out that "target list" for the dems to attack too early, there just aren't enough "courageous," OR SKILLED, "leaders" in the party to defend the ideas properly.
I'm all for pursuing the best ideas, but we also need to have the best strategy for actually getting those ideas implemented. Maybe once we get a new crop of Conservative leaders seated in January, we'll be able to get some of the best ideas onto the table.
That or repeal the income tax and replace it with a system where everyone pays top to bottom. A fair tax/comsumption tax would accompliush this as would a flat tax rate. I would further add that anyone below a certain income point could volunteer themselves to opt out entirely but only with the understanding that they also opt out of their votings rights until they can prove they've been back to paying taxes for at least a year prior.
People will scream bloody murder about repealing the income tax for either of those systems but if you can implement the sort of measure you describe or credibly threaten it, you might have a lot more people suddenly supporting a change. Then, they have the choice to opt out of their voting rights or not. No realistic room to complain.
I just got this book Friday, from Amazon. All I can say is the first 100 pages so far are amazing.
They go in to show how he had become to be. a total self absorbed narcissist, going so far as to show the similarities of his actions with diagnosis in the "Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders DSM-IV".
It is truly scary, and a MUST read. When finished I intend to pass it around..

When my husband and I saw his Democrat Convention speech prior to Bush's second term. We looked at each other and we each knew that he was going to be serious trouble. We just didn't expect him to be trouble quite so soon. We thought he'd wait for two or three elections cycles to knock the green off because no one could possibly vote for someone with so little experience … Yeah, we were way wrong on that last point.
I think so many people had been so inundated in negative news for so long that they were desparate for anything they could construe as positive. Obama's handlers did a masterful job of making him seem to be that.
I'm 1,000% on board with you to repeal the income tax. The income tax is so huge that no one knows what's in it. It's become a gottcha game, its like an old inter-tube that's that's been patched a million times. There is nothing fair about a law that the average citizen has no hope of comprehending and that's what the income tax is.
I like the idea of a federal sales tax the best. I think there should ALWAYS be a lawful means of avoiding any tax. The beauty of a federal sales tax is that if you don't want to pay it, then don't buy the highly taxed item. Basic goods of course, food, medicine and such, would not be taxed.
But you can't in any way suspend voting rights because of failure to pay any tax. That would be unConstitutional. See Amendment 24, clause 1 below:

1. The right of citizens of the United States to vote in any primary or other
election for President or Vice President, for electors for President or
Vice President, or for Senator or Representative in Congress, shall not be
denied or abridged by the United States or any State by reason of failure to
pay any poll tax or other tax.
I believe it was in large part the evil of the government entitled parasitic class.
I detested him from the beginning and can't understand why anybody voted for him.

IMHO, Mr. Limbaugh is wrong about Obama NOT committing crimes that are worthy of Impeachment. I mean, how on one hand can Mr. Limbaugh discuss "Obama’s crimes against…the Constitutional order" & not admit that doing so are impeachable offenses?
Let's hope that the new Congress will bring charges of Impeachment against Obama the minuite they are sworn-in next January. Obama is not fit for the Office of POTUS.

False hate, generated by the media for Bush was the key ingredient that elected this fool. It is only his arrogance that makes him think he can pull it off. As Sun Tzu once said, "the downfall of the arrogant is always their arrogance".
Hate blinds, and the media with their hate Bush propaganda did the trick for many, mostly young foolish voters.
