The NAACP Acting Stupidly (Again)

I must admit, I didn’t think the NAACP could top the whole Hallmark-card-is-racist fiasco, but never underestimate the power of stupidity. One thing progressives are very good at is using black people and they’ve found some that are willing enough dupes to help facilitate their plan.
The NAACP is expected to approve a resolution at its annual convention condemning the tea party movement for harboring “racist elements that are a threat to our democracy,” a spokeswoman for the civil rights organization said Monday.
Like the ignoramuses in Los Angeles who lost their collective minds over racist mispronunciations of black ‘holes’ versus the ‘whores’ they wanted to hear, the national NAACP believes the Tea Party is racist simply because the Barack Obama they oppose is black; not because they oppose the out-of-control fiscal policies of the second black president and his arrogant party leadership.
While I don’t recall seeing any reports from NAACP members who personally witnessed hearing racist verbiage and/or signs, they are following the White House talking points that the nearly all-white Tea Party is hostile to President Obama purely because of his race. I mention the personal attendance of the NAACP at Tea Parties because I’ve been to both the 9/12 march on D.C. as well as the health care reform rally on Capitol Hill and the only physical assaults I suffered at the hands of rabid, angry white Teabaggers were hugs from people who read my website.
I declined to press charges.
Whether you buy into the Glenn Beck warnings of radicals seeking revolution to implement social justice or not, my question is this to the scholarly NAACP: what are you going to get out of this?
Barack and Michelle Obama will be taken care off long after he leaves office, but should the NAACP deliberately side with the New Black Panthers and vilify whitey, just what will the black community gain? Better welfare?
Despite years of servitude to the Democrat Party, what do blacks have to show for their time, effort, and votes? Democrats control the economy in the black community. Democrats control education, and their politicians send their kids to private schools. Democrats have done little to earn the loyal support of blacks and the NAACP, yet they are now willing to suck up to the radicals in the administration… for what?
(Oh, and for the geniuses in the New Black Panther Party who bitch about the cracka’ po-lice invading their neighborhoods, I have one small suggestion. The po-lice go where crime is. If people behave themselves, the po-lice go elsewhere. It works every time.)
In any socialist government structure, there are the elites allowed that status by the cronies. Just where do the idiots in the NAACP expect to be in the grand scheme of things?
While strategically calling the Tea Party racist, the administration has found an ignorant echo chamber of sellouts in the NAACP. They assume racism lives within the Tea Party because the sheepish media says so. And since they don’t appear to have reading down, they probably haven’t seen the stories of Crash The Tea Party, a failed group of liberals who sought to “infiltrate and dismantle” the Tea Party by mixing in, making loud and crazy statements, and displaying racist signs that could be photographed and/or videotaped to smear them.
I’m sorry, but do liberals who use racial taunts to deliberately brand an opponent sound respectful of black people? Obviously not, then again as the NAACP routinely employs the same tactic, it’s easy to conclude they don’t care much about black people either; just the attention they personally receive and the fundraising it drives.
The NAACP can call the Tea Party racist all it wants, and they will because good little boys and girls do what they’re told. But when the Obama nightmare is over, the NAACP will have nowhere to go. They’ll have placed all their chips on one last race card and will have lost it all. They will be broke and no one will take a minute to hear what they say.
Only a dummy would stick his or her neck out for people who have always offered nothing in return for that effort. The stupid in the NAACP are sticking their necks out for progressives who are probably laughing in the back rooms about how easy this is… again.

Taking George Soros money and turning around and endorsing the California legal recreational marijuana initiative because the NAACP finds drug crime convictions "racist" has sunk this group even lower. No recognition what illegal drugs have done to the black community; only the whine they get arrested for them more than they should.
There is not a civilized country anywhere on the planet that encourages easy access to hallucinogenic drugs as proposed by the California legal pot initiative. None. Both the Democratic Party and NAACP, funded both by George Soros, will do anything for power regardless of consequences.
The California Democratic party admitted they wanted an issue that would get their Obot hang-over progressives out of their anti-Bush stupor and back to the polling booths so they chose to make easy pot their galvanizing voter issue.
Grotesque bed fellows: pot, Democrats, George Soros, University of Phoenix Sperlings and NAACP. The inmates are taking over the assylum. And locally throw in the Indian casinos, trade unions and public employee unions and you have the California political money engine.
Well what do you expect an organization that has lost it's usefulness as a civil rights movement organization to do?
It's all about funding, sound bites, media influence/time, and scare tactics to maintain power and income.
Justice for every man, integrity, morality, and doing what is best to help the average person is long gone as tenets of their faith.
For probably the past two decades all the NAACP has been is an extortionist racket, with people like Jackson and Sharpton muscling in on their business.
Kowtow to their demands, or deal with a protest.
It's just a business. Nothing about advancing Colored People.

Mr. Parks, I have criticized some of your articles in the past, so I didn't want to miss the opportunity to praise you for an article which I think you've done an excellent job on. Not only is it truthful and informative, but it went a long way towards changing my opinion about your work as a whole. It takes a brave and honest man to print an article like this knowing the criticism you'll face as a result. A tip o' the hat to you, sir.
I think this is nothing less than the outright declaration by the NAA(L)CP that THEY are racist.
And spouting "RAAAAAAAAACIST!" slurs at people who clearly are NOT is not going to engender any sympathy from people who are increasingly becoming a majority in the country.
At any rate, this is a good thing. Every time the left cries "RAAAAAACIST!" the more the false charge loses it's stigma and power. To the point that it barely gets notice outside the (increasingly inaccurately called) mainstream media who glom on because they WISH it were true.
It will be nice if this backfires and common sense black people who know what racism really is begin denouncing the leadership of the NAACP for what they are. Political PAWNS attempting to sell the black vote to RACISTS.
I've used pot heavily, as have many of my friends, associates, family, enemies, etc, and never noticed or even heard of anyone hallucinating. The only people claiming it is hallucinagenic are people who do not have any first or second hand experience with it.
They go after anything that's good trying to tear it down while propping up things that are both un-American and unconstitutional.
A bunch of communists? I think so.
If a "new" person wants to join the tea party, these new people should me made to wear a special shirt separating them from the others that have already proven themselves as trustworthy. This should be the norm until this "new" person can be trusted.

Isn't it wonderful how people talk crap about stuff they know nothing about? And we wonder why prejudice exists. It's born of stupidity like that.
The only racism running rampant today is reverse racism – if you have white-colored or lightly colored skin, you must be inherently prejudiced against everyone who doesn't look like you.
Let's just retire the "R" word, already. The only differences between the races are biological and minor at that. What racism has evolved into today is the perpetuation of perceived victimization based on tonal skin variations in order to gain political advantage.
In other words, people who claim to be against racism are making their bones by promoting racism. They have an agenda and they are using the very people they are pretending to protect.
Mr. Parks, your link to the White House talking points about the Tea Party doesn't lead to said points (it leads to White House talking points about the oil spill).
I agree that the NAACP no longer represents the community and tends to manufacture racism with an eye towards extracting donations and/or furthering the interests of the Democratic party.

Although I have no problem with advancing the interests of "colored people", it seems unfair for them to try to achieve this at the EXPENSE of all other people. "Racist" is a word that comes to mind.
It is good to advance, but does it advance when you complain of the unfairness of the world against you? The world can never be expected to be fair to anyone. The government? We are now under a "colored" president. The government can only tax and distribute income, and this alone will never bring about fairness or justice.
In simple terms: it would be racist to try to advance the "white" or "european" agenda against others. When NAACP stopped being pro-"colored" and started being "anti-white", they crossed every line and have become like a division of the Black Panthers. If they would oppose the founding of a "pro-Irish" or "pro-Jewish" or "pro-Italian" group, they are no longer pro-anything.
This is the real problem with racism, not that it is bad to be happy you are the color you are. We should all be greatful to G-d for our unique gifts.
But we should all fear the wrath of G-d if we covet and try to destroy our fellow men over imagined, or even real, wrongs. Evil begets evil, and hatred of one's neighbor begets hatred.
We can and must reverse this trend by embracing all humans as brothers.

Personally I don't get it. If your race doesn't want you I'll be glad to accept a good conservative man for my voice. Seems we need all the intellect and ability available. I am a conservative/constitutionalist that smokes pot, and I have a good education, never went off and robbed or beat anyone while buzzed (unlike legally boozed up people), and never ever hallucinated. It should be up to the person to choose what they want to relax with. It is human nature to alter our psyche in some way, whether it is through booze, endorphin buzzes, or spiritual striving. And remember this also, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and other founding fathers were "hemp" smokers also. ;0) And look what they came up with.

I agree except in one thing.
Originally they were about advancement, up to equality. At some point, logically, they achieved what they were going for, and have to manufacture boogeymen in order to have a cause to fight.
Equal opportunity was done through laws and federal interventions years ago.
Now being equal, after having been treated as less and as 'special' for so many generations, being raised to have kids and a government card at an early age, they don't know how to run with the big dogs, and be equal, even given the opportunities and the open doors that the majority of the population will never have.
Same education, same opportunities. But because of being taught they 'need' organizations like the NAACP and politicians like the Dems to lookout for their 'causes' they generally do not excel, apart from a free ride to whatever they become.
Sad. Stinking thinkin'. Lies from leaders. Handouts and indentures to the government/Dems.
Oh right, label them as a tea partier in training, so everyone avoids them.

Mr Parks, theres a reason why blacks dont progress economically and culturally, and one of those reason is the NAACP. The Naacp is nothing more than useful idiots of the far left, noyt interested in doing anything other than fanning the flames of racial hatred. Until blacks wake up and realize the NAACCP,the New Black Panthers and the rest of the grievance mongers stop acting like spolied brats, they never will progress. As an example of what anyone can be in America, ask Herman Cain or Lynn Swann. They never let themselves be stopped , and became sucessfull because of it.

The Netherlands = Holland. Same country. they are also referred to as the Dutch. I never knew why they have so many different names for themselves though. While they are crazy liberal and on their way to dhimmitude, I really doubt that is because they smoke pot. I don't smoke pot, and don't really ever plan to, but I don't see what is so dangerous about it. It is considered by many in the medical and scientific community to be far more dangerous than alcohol. I say let the people light 'em up.
Perhaps the behavior of an individual would be enough? Watch me while you’re at it. Let them come, who knows what they will learn? I know what paranoia breeds and it is not healthy. The Tea Party is for all who subscribe to the basic tenets.

We're on the same page but I am fearful that these liberals will try and marginalize the movement. My instinct is to protect the tea party movement and everyone in it.
Consider this scenario:
The tea party movement gathers in a location to protest along with several liberals that have infiltrated the movement. These libs have planned to drop several racial slurs and are dressed as to fit in with the crowd. In this scenario, there is absolutely no way to differentiate between the real patriots and the infiltrators. There is video being taken by another liberal to use in the MSM that will discredit the tea party movement. This is obviously not good. How can the tea party movement defend itself against this?
If you don't like my idea, that's fine but you'd better subscribe to something that will protect the movement because it's all we have.
Wrong, Wrong, Wrong! Police do not go where crime is committed. Crime goes where the police are going to be. Somehow, the dreaded criminals know where the police are going and commit crimes there beforehand. If the police would just plan to congregate in gated communities, then the crime would move into those gated communities days and weeks beforehand.
Apples and artichokes. You can't possibly draw a correlation between those two events any more than you could make a correlation between Islamic ascendancy and prostitution. To even attempt to do so would require, at a minimum, statistics on percentages of the population who actually participate in drug use and also vote.
I contend that they are completely disparate phenomenon and have no real shared sphere of influence. The whole purpose of Islam is to spread throughout the entire world like a virus. Blaming the host for the infection is simply illogical.

I believe I understand your concern. I have the same concerns. The answer to your question may be in this…how you would react if you were next to that person. I would ensure that I was in the picture and call them out as non-Tea Party members. After having been involved in several functions to include the 9-12 -09 march, I am certain that members would do no different. To marginalize our own effort is a sure fire way to disintegration. We must be the organization of the people. Infiltrators will always give themselves up by the behavior the exhibit. Progressivism, is easy to spot.
I have to disagree with the first part about reverse racism. There is no such thing. Racism is racism no matter what race it comes from. The truly unfortunate thing is that the meaning is so skewed and used to the point that if you disagree with someone of a different race THAT is called being racist now and not having a difference of opinion.

There is nothing you can do to 100% protect the tea party movement from these situations. That's because it is real grassroots. There are no memberships. You are a member by simply agreeing with what they stand for. All you can do is condemn the fakers who want to make us all look bad. Sure people will say it means the tea party is racist, but those people fall into two categories. 1) Idiots, and you usually can't fix stupid. 2) People who already know the tea party isn't a racist movement but use the word as a weapon. And you can't do anything to fix this level of stupidity.
Absolutely Patriot. As long as the issue was handled by calling them out at the exact instant that it was occurring. I also agree, a progressive is easy to spot.
Believe me, my heart is in the right place. I've never been so fearful for my country and for the tea party.

I just watched a representative for the NAACP try to defend its intended action – filibustering, of course. I just have a couple of questions: When will it (or has it, and I missed it?) announce a resolution denouncing the elements of Islam that are murderous and misogynistic? When will the NAACP announce a resolution denouncing the elements/foundation principles of the New Black Panther Party Creed that is racist (and/or murderous, if the Shabazz call to arms is anything to go by)? Oh! And can it denounce itself with a resolution too? If I'm not mistaken, the St. Louis branch of the NAACP mocked Mr. Gladney, referring to him as an 'Uncle Tom.'

It has always been a true honor and privilege to serve my country. I am always humbled by those who say thank you, especially those who fight today in every capacity. This is the greatest nation on earth and I am also humbled by those who look to us for the example of what liberty is and can be for all nations.
There is a fair amount of frustration for us all. Patience and critical thought will win this. We all fear for our country. The Tea Party is far more resilient that people think. It will have longevity as well, contrary to what many have said. The reason is simple. It is made up of We The People.

I could NOT agree more, Mr. Parks ! This "loyalty" to their Democrat "Masters" is one of the most perplexing political inversions in our history. Even during the days of "The Great Society" blacks did not understand that these welfare payments were "reparations" as well as the financial ticket to their Democrat enslavement to urban "plantations". (Often referred to as ghettos). Even the basest of intellects should understand that it is the DEMOCRATS who have prevented them from their freedoms and liberties…..but alas…their leaders have told them differently. I have been a police officer for a good portion of my life and have left that field because of all the corruption I saw. I know the humbling feeling you speak of because many people would thank me for serving my community.
Before I left the police department in 2006, I felt that something was seriously wrong within the justice system and that things were changing for the worse but I had no idea that it was progressivism behind it all. Today, I am able to see clearly and hope and pray that we will be able to restore our republic.

I've never seen a person become more principled after the advent of their chronic drug use and I've been a druggie and been around plenty of druggies. Nikita Kruschev, as generally stupid as he was, knew better than that. Look at which countries supply them to us–see any friends of the U.S. on that list?

Thank you for having the courage and the wisdom (I sound like a 12-stepper) to write this article! You made some irrefutable points with logic and common sense. It's certainly a shame that an organization that began with a noble and just cause has now resorted to try and cling to relevance by whoring itself out to the historically (and still) racist Democrat Party. At the end of the day, the NAACP will lose this one.

Uhhhhh, I grew my own, and it had lots and lots of "sugar". I also processed the tar in my pipe and saved it, and got totally wiped. No visions.

Anyone who had hallucinations was not smoking unadulterated pot or hash.

You mean "illegal drug use"? There you get into the question as to whether it should be illegal. Alcohol was illegal for a while. Nicotine may become illegal. Then what?

I hung with folks who were able to get the very best stuff (one of the advantages of living in a large city with a big mob presence)….But it was so long ago that I don't recall which kind it was. We were driving somewhere, and I told my pal to hit the brakes because there was a man crossing the road. It was a simple mirage, not an an acid-type hallucination. Everyone got a good laugh out of it, but they also gushed about how good the stuff was. That was the only time I recall seeing something. I'd heard others talk about occasionally seeing simple mirages, as well; so it's not just in my head.
Ain't history a bitch? People are so outraged by the shit they've been though that they actually write it down so people don't forget it…then they forget it anyway. But it still keeps coming around to bite them in the ass. The truth WILL out. Kudos for the historic reference.

You've inadvertently asked a question which only you can answer. I can only speak from my own experiences. I don't mean that in a negative way…but there is a difference between a mirage (an optical illusion) and a hallucination.
I apologize for generalizing but the main drug seemingly being discussed above was marijuana. As for your second sentence, I guess I would have to clarify that with the term psychoactive drugs.
Um, yes, I said mirages are different from hallucinations. In both cases, those who see them are in some kind of altered state. Mirages are simple. The stranded man on a lifeboat sees ships on the horizon where there are none; the thirsting man in the hot sun sees a pool of water where there is none. Hallucinations are not simple.
Like I said, I had the experience, and I know of a few others.
ANY substance, whether natural or synthetic, legal or illegal, affects people differently.
