The Left Is Underestimating Opponents Again
by Bob ParksWhen going into any kind of competition, I was taught to respect the abilities of an opponent. To not do so results in things we commonly refer to as “upsets”.
Seeing how a lot of liberals aren’t into sports and have disdain for organized competition, the comments by the website “biasedliberalmedia.com” about the comic book’s mocking of Minnesota congresswoman Michele Bachmann (and conservatives in general) by “award-winning Minneapolis artist and political activist Ken Avidor” make perfect sense.
The little guy with the hat with the teabags hanging from it is a “tea-bagger,” a conservative anti-tax activist — representing hundreds of the same who use tea bags as a symbol of one of the first American anti-tax rebellions, the Boston Tea Party. (These people clearly have no idea what “tea bagging” refers to in sexual slang, or they would be even angrier than they are.) Michele is on record as saying that she “hates” taxes. These days she’s not talking about cutting taxes so much; she tends to talk more about the debt that is caused by the failure to tax. But conservatives still have her down as an anti-tax politician even though she has never successfully lowered anyone’s taxes.

A clear example of the narcissistic underestimation of their ideological opponents.
As it turns out, many on the right DO know what the term means (a slur coming from the tolerant and inclusive) and that’s why they are even angrier, the elected in Washington D.C. are either jumping ship and not seeking reelection, or are abandoning the Democrat efforts in controversial legislation thus giving the Obama Administration no choice but to blame Republican “obstruction” for the lack of his own liberal votes.
So go right ahead insisting that the right is uninformed, uneducated, and clueless while we’re being insulted. Go right ahead assuming we don’t know what’s going on, because as the denigration mounts, so too is the resolve to send Democrats into political oblivion and the funny thing is, know-it-all liberals won’t know what hit them.
And as for “award-winning Minneapolis artist and political activist Ken Avidor”, I’m not sure who issues those ‘awards’ but I think you could find a fifth grader who can do better work and cheaper too.

Any journalist or media personality who uses the term teabagger immediately loses any respect I may have had for him or her. I do not, however, want them fired. Let them continue to display their ignorance, bias, and arrogance for all to see.

It's true that the rank and file leftist "progressives" don't know what is about to hit them, but I'm fairly sure the statists in congress ARE aware of what's coming, and that's why they are jamming every bit of their insidious agenda through their traitorous congress. I'm also sure that these same are securing lifetime positions for those who fall on the sword to vote for their programs.
We should not allow these "progressives" to enter into any position in the private sector without first investigating whether they were offered those positions as a quid pro quo for political favors.

You know, even the over-spending congress critters know that if you cut taxes across the board that government revenues go UP. They'd have more revenue to spend if they did that, but it's not about the spending, it's about government control for most of them. Or, as in obama's case, it's about folding the American economy to usher in a global governance that he and his ilk can create in their own image.
I am tempted to explain just to fan the flames a little more – however there is no way the sight would leave the post up. But for the record I know, I am pissed, and in person anyway I will explain to anyone who asks. I have no intention of protecting the liberals from their own folly.
You miss the point the left leadership in D.C. could care less about you. Their only care is to get reelected, if enough people let them know that then they may get the picture. The 2010 Census is going to make it worse, if they count everyone (Legal, Illegal) in one pot then the urban areas get padded by non voters this allows people like Pelosi to get reelected by only a portion of the population. The constitution says all persons so I don't see a fix.

I think it is really interesting to note that despite the shock of 9/11 and the War, the economy actually improved between 2001 and 2006. Republicans lost control of Congress to the Democrats in January of 2007. If you don't know, Congress spends the money, not the President. The President can Veto spending bills (and in my opinion President Bush should have Vetoed a lot of spending), but that doesn't do any good if The Congress can override those Vetoes. What really get's me about the "progressives", "leftists", "socialists", "liberals", or whatever you want to call them (Democrats is a pretty good, catch-all term), is that they actually believe the Federal government can solve the problems of this country, or even attempt to solve what they believe is a problem. Whenever the Federal government get's involved with ANYTHING, it is going to be wasteful, inefficient, and likely fraudulent. Why do they think the government can do things better than the private sector? We have laws, and if enforced, would reasonably ensure that the abuses they are afraid the private sector will commit will be prevented. The problem is that we have virtually NO WAY to prevent the abuses that occur with government programs.
I'm just going to hunker down and wait for all Hell to break loose, and it will, if they keep pushing their Marxist agenda. Then, we'll just drive these progressive lemmings into the sea. These vermin need to be eradicated once and for all.

Republican obstruction is based on the fact that nearly every piece of legislation requires 60 votes and the fact Republicans refuse to participate in the legislating process. Its a political tactic, nothing more.

We need to push hard for a fillibuster of the nomination of any Congressman who votes for Obamacare and then gets a Federal Judgeship for his loyalty to the Great Obama's domestic agenda. In fact, it is important that the GOP Senators let them know up front that anyone helping pass Obamacare will not get a clean vote for a Judgeship or FRB position.

If Obama was really smart, he would use Reconcilliation to ram through immediate legalization and provisional naturalization of all illegal immigrants. Furthermore, he would structure the law so that only the ones that vote in 2010 and 2012 get permanent citizenship, and he would open the doors to unlimited numbers of African and Muslim immigrants as well, as long as they got here before the election. I actually talked to a small business owner that laso thinks the same way that you do. He really hated Bush and a supporter of Obama. He said Obama should put out a stimulus bill with $100 billion to create jobs because $10 billion would come back in taxes collected. I was stunned that a business owner would say something so stupid. So I asked him " would you spend $100,000 to get $10,000 back in revenue? " He thought for a moment and then said meekly " I wouldn't be in business very long if I did that ". Well DUH !!!

Debt is not created if revenue matches expenses. Revenue for the government comes from taxes. If the government is spending too it needs to tax so revenues match expenses. That is what we should deserve for who we elect, and it would put a natural control on politicians' spending behavior.
The only time government should have deficit spending is times like now when we're in deep economic trouble.

Many conservatives underestimate the progressive movement, calling progressives merely liberals under a "new" name, when they are very different from each other. One major talkshow host thinks this way and he is wrong – dead wrong.
It's good if the left-wingnuts misunderestimate the conservative movement, but we must never, never let down our guard. We must presume that these troops from hell will never let up.
