Think Progress Caught Using Liberal-Manufactured Signs From ‘Crash the Tea Party’ as Evidence of Tea Party Racism
by Bob OwensDo you remember the abortive “Crash the Tea Party” movement? It was the brainchild of a liberal that explicitly called for progressives to commit fraud in order to attempt to discredit the Tea Party protests.
At Pajamas Media we covered the abortive effort extensively, and made note of the very real bigotry the Crashers unwittingly revealed… in themselves.
This morning, I came across this video from Think Progress:
Typical of the kind of dishonest effort Think Progress produces, the video heavily edits clips so that you have no idea what the context of a statement is or precisely what someone they’ve edited is trying to say.
Worse, the video “liberally” makes use of counter Tea Party protesters and infiltrators, including “Crash the Tea Party” drones, in order to fabricate their view.
The guy who claims “I’m a proud racist, I white” was actually driven out of the Tea Party protest he attempted to infiltrate.

Seconds later, Think Progress stitches together a series of posters they claim belong to Tea Party protesters.

Did you not think we’d remember the amusing signs your fellow liberals created for their little abortive “Crash the Tea Party” stunt in Boston? Let’s just say that some were more amusing than others, and some just showed pathetic and angry progressives often are.
There is an old saying that you’re entitled to your own opinions, but not your own facts.
At Think Progress, they’re ready to make up the “facts,” yet again.
Update: Oh, Think Progress… did you really think you’d get away with it?
Also, RightKlik discovers that another of the men featured in the video made his comments in 2006… well before the Tea Party was even a dream.
Update: Think Progress even tried to portray the father of a bi-racial boy as a racist as he speaks in front of his own son.
Seriously… is there anyone in this video who is what Think Progress says they are?

The economy is a shambles, unemployment is still two points higher than their trillion dollar stimulus was suppose to allow, national debt is exploding, the Gulf of Mexico is turning into a toxic hydrocarbon soup… it's really no wonder liberals want to talk about imaginary racist boogeymen.

I've been paying attention for quite a while now and I remember many of those "racist's" in that video as self-avowed KKK members who were spotted by TEA Party activists then followed and chased around the event until they finally left. It just amazes me how the left is hell bent on doing anything they can to marginalize the TEA Party. This is just too easy to refute. The left are plain stupid. This is amazing to watch.

The video in the article was not produce by O'Keefe or Breitbart.
But I agree that any video should be questioned. That's why O'Keefe always offers all the raw footage of any video he has made, unedited if you'd like to see it.
Its a good idea to be informed. One thing I do is heavily research any of their arguments and then rehearse a rebuttal. For example, the social contract argument will get thrown at you. The fallacies of it are pretty evident.
But the point is you can't be unprepared when they hit you with "don't you want to help poor people?" or "I want a system that works" or "we're trying to give people health care".
Learn the difference between action and intention. Kantian ethics are unscrupulous (intention based ethics).
One thing I like to pull is to ask a progressive to prove their intentions through so reproducible, scientific means. They can't. They'll say "look at my actions" which is circular logic since they are judging their actions by their intentions.
Another is to ask them to name one progressive idea they do not use force in some way to promote.
The idea is to show them that they base all their judgments on subjective intentions and emotions and that their actions are always force that cause harm.
But you really need to know their arguments. Progressives are bubbling full of fallacies.
Keep the Video tape rolling on these frauds who pretend to be part of the Tea Party Movement. Every Tea partier needs to carry a phone that has video.
Tapes these idiots and let them be seen for what they are. Lets tape them and point them out as not with us!!!!!
Put them on the internet and let their families and collegues seen them for the frauds and obnoxious idiots they are.
