Unions: Getting The Munchies After Smoking A Bowl
by Bret JacobsonOver at Forbes I recently wrote about the union plan to organize your neighborhood fast food joint, which could turn the process of ordering a Number 3 with Coke into a culinary trip to the DMV. Well, maybe now we know why: they have been laying the groundwork to organize the entire food chain, as it were, since they have organized a pot shop in Oakland. Now you can Super Size it and smoke a spliff without ever crossing a picket line.

Every Union worker should be given a drug test on a weekly basis.
Bret have you run out of things to talk about? You should never try to be funny… it's not one of your strengths.
Well, you'd have to be stoned to consider joining a union in the first place, so I guess this makes perfect sense.
Your circle-jerk called…they want their pecker head back.
I guess in a state where you're required to be unionized for many jobs, you might as well have union pot shops.
Coming in 2011: California schools fold to California Teachers Unions as the Unions secure rights for teachers to teach while high. Pot will now be available in the student book store!
Where is Rahm…?
Why so quiet Rahm…?
What about Joe, "0"…?
Where is the outrage lefties…?
A crime has been committed against the most basic liberty of our REPUBLIC yet you remain silent!!!???
Where is Rahm!?
What did "0" know and when did he know it..!!??
Hey "0", where's Joe…!!??
You know, they have to go off and ruin a good thing.
The last I read about Rahm, he was in Israel getting booed and catcalls, that he rightly
deserves…..lol….
That story they dreamed up to cover-up the Sestak bribe is so blatantly unbelievable!!..
Only an idiot would believe it, but I guess it was targeted at his followers…..The
useful idiots!!
You're kidding, right? I'm no fan of unions, but to say that every union worker needs to have a drug test weekly is both irrational and a huge affront to their freedom. If a company wants to do a drug test on their workers, fine. If there is a law passed saying all federal workers have drug tests, fine. But, private individuals being mandated drug tests by the government? Come on, we're here to bring the government back to its constitutional limits, not try to give the government even more power than it already has simply because it would spite our political enemies.
They want people to believe the 'meme', don't let this story die!
Ask at least one time per day ask this, where are Rahm and Bubba…??
OFF TOPIC: this will be short and sweet. I just read that any census worker, be they a high official, a pedofile , rapist or a newbie that just got hired, IS allowed to enter your home or your apartment without you even being there. If the apartment manager will not let them in, they are charged $500 fine. The "break and enter" Fed Gov.
SEIU just "unionized" a large group of nurses and support staff here in Texas yesterday. Mass unionization is a DANGER to our country. It skews the labor market wage model and – through government regulation – shifts too much much power to uniformed workers. Business is an exercise in Greek style DEMOCRACY – it's business. The indians will soon OUT NUMBER the chiefs and CHAOS will ensue.
It's time to GO AFTER SEIU – aka Obama's PurpleShirts…
This explains why all unions are against workplace drug testing….
The like that ganja break.
let see how long before they put the fast food business out of business. the only thing good about unions is being the guy who collects the money. they take money out of all the checks, and spend it on very wise things like idiots like obama and pelosi.
Back to PuffHo or Fecal Matters troll
Here's SEIU playing with their "new drums" that Obama's "Stimulus Package" bought them:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=of1bvzS69hM&fe...
True. Just ask the New Zealanders. They made that mistake back in the 90s, I think it was. I guess they didn't like it either and rectified it shortly after. Unions were needed at one time, but now all they are is organized bullies.
The potty comments just never get old.
Good one! Myself, I've had it with Obama sycophants like mik, who (pardon the expression) would eat a mile of our dear leaders crap to kiss his Marxist ass.
You are nothing more than a blind fool and hypocritical traitor.
Do go back to HuffPo, they are just as deaf and blind as you as to what is going on.
But your progressive talking points BS sure does
Let's also not forget that SEIU is an international organization and that they are admittedly building a global organization seeking to "share better the wealth" and "rebalance the power". If you think I'm sounding conspiratorial check out what the president of SEIU says.

Can I please get an intellectually honest clarification on just what those two goals actually mean from someone who buys into it?
Man, I hate to say it, but I really, really want weed LEGALIZED!!!!
I can not drink because of my medical condition (Diabetic – 25 years now) and the RX drugs I take, so my only other choice is to smoke a little weed at night!
I work and pay taxes and I am a good citizen.. I just want my weed and too smoke it without being a criminal!
Look, if they drug test high school students randomly, and they can drug test any truck driver at any DOT checkpoint, and they can even drug test a simple convenience store clerk randomly, why is it so bad to drug test anyone? I think if these aforementioned jobs can have drug tests at any time then all other jobs should be treated the same. What's good for the goose, is good for the gander.
Let em, Dog knows what to do to home invaders.
There's always California, Sig. Though you couldn't PAY me to even visit there, much less live there.
It"s called Freedom
Look it up
BTW Goose, gander they both taste good to me
No threats just pointing out you are wrong and a traitor.
Sounds like your are scared, you should be but not of me, I am half a continent away from you, you should be scared of those who you are supporting.
And if I were you, I would check the IP again, your well over 1200 miles off.
Great point. There is NO DOUBT in my mind that SEIU is EVIL and WRONG.
They know they have one term of Obama to press their agenda and I'm certain thety will cut that slimy POS a BIG CHECK when he's out of office as a "director" or some such garbage.
I think you have several states that can and will accomodate you sig. Montana, California – hell the whole West Coast – find one that works.
Once the politicians and unionists are done with weed, only career unionized state workers will be able to afford it.
I hafta say, mika playing the "I'm gonna tell yo' mommy" card is THE most pathetic thing I've read here in – like – two or three weeks. That's SOOOOO weak, it's bunny piss weak.
Many of these people signed contracts to allow for random drug tests as part of their job. I think you're taking the wrong angle on this one. Instead of using freedom destroying laws (such as the high school students being drug tested) as precedents to create more freedom destroying laws, we should say that all freedom destroying laws should be abolished. Clearly, there is a public safety aspect to truck drivers being drug tested. We would not want pilots flying on drugs either. If they want to do drugs or drink, they should not be pilots or truck drivers. Being a union worker, on the other hand, does not make a strong case for the public safety argument. What's bad for the goose is bad for the gander.
I'm just being careful. You have directed your right wing hate at me for some reason and you should know there will be consequences if you act on your hatred.
LOL, now that was funny!
No hate just pointing out your faults as a blind Liberal troll traitor. You have directed your left wing hate at everybody on this site with no bases or facts for your argument, just your talking points from the HuffPo and when that doesn't work, you cry about it.
When you do get hate from the members of this site or any other, you have brought it on yourself by deliberately trying to provoke people into a fight and then crying no fair when it isn't going your way.
Pathetic little troll traitor.
I have been ripping on him all day.
He can't take it.
Never seen a Liberal who could.
Yes, but my point is that these very contracts shouldn't be legal. Either the laws for drug testing ANYONE are a violation of privacy, or there should be NO laws for drug testing, otherwise innocent, individuals.
I, myself, gave up a lot of habits before I joined the Army and really resented the intrusion of random drug tests that started in the mid-eighties.
ALL of the stupid nanny-state laws like drug testing should be thrown out as unconstitutional.
Well here's my IP and you can tell by my "HAT" I D G a FK
Your rants are lost on me. So if you think you can provoke me into some kind of name calling contest you are mistaken.
Just HOW did YOU get someone's IP addy, mika?
It is unlawful of you to have it and the poster whose addy you have should get a restraining order on you and sue you to smitherines.
Reality is lost on you and thus you remain a pathetic traitor troll.
Links?
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh, so mika is just a lying sack of SHIITE!
Why am I not surprised? LOL
Best he's got Jamesb.
When you idolize a nanny state, Momma is the baddest ass in the country…
He can't fight, all he can do is belittle and threaten with an authority figure.
reverse psychology tells you he is scared to death someone will trace his IP andd send momma to spank him.
He is a waste of space and air.
I must have said something to really make you angry. Was it personal or are you just reacting to my posts?
When people visit my website they leave their electronic signature. I have yours too.
…Commies, Marx's', Bloodsucking parasites …
Yea, I know… I just don't care about moving… plus those states are too liberal for me…
I want a Libertarian state to move too…
Someone in the Army shouldn't be on drugs. You don't enjoy all of the freedoms of citizenship while you are a soldier–that is well established. People driving giant trucks should not be on drugs since they are very likely to cause damage if they are. Preventing that kind of an accident is not the nanny state, it is one of the necessary roles of government. And, all contracts should be legal as long as they are voluntary. Outlawing certain kinds of contracts is NOT one of the constitutional roles of government.
Ah Comrade just wait all will be as clear as mud
Keep them "HIGH" keep them stupid
Maybe his neighbors have discovered what a Commie troll he is and that's got him spooked. I didn't see any threats to warrant his lame comment. I think going back to PuffHo would calm his nerves. I just hope they put paper down for him so he doesn't ruin the shag carpet over there.
I'ma scared now! PLEASE don't tattle on me! I'll give you my lunch money, honest!
Actually, I am in a good mood now that I am back home for a couple of days and it is in response to your posts.
How tricky.
The claim appears to be legit despite the unbelievable aspect. Here is a link to a report by Bob Barr in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
http://blogs.ajc.com/bob-barr-blog/2010/05/26/cen...
If only…
Nice of you to admit you use your website for data mining and political intimidation! That really ought to boost your traffic stats…ass clown!
<sarc>I guess I'll have to make my threats from the public library</sarc> ROFL!
Oh goody, mika……………………………………I'll be calling my police to notify them and perhaps all of us here will do a class action suit against you and this site.
Why against this site? That doesn't make any sense.
Did you not see the word "before?" I gave up a lot of habits including drugs, fully a year before I joined the Army.
And I'm afraid you are wrong here, any action which impinges on someone else's privacy is nanny statism. That you can't see this makes me wonder if you are arguing this point in jest.
How would you like to be handed a bottle and told to fill it? this can happen at any traffic stop for someone in the trucking industry, it can happen to a whole roster of employees at a store if ANYTHING comes up missing. You have no right to refuse, the only thing you could do is quit and then have that follow you on your employment history.
Come on, freedom is freedom and intrusion is intrusion. If drug tests are too intrusive for one group of people, then they are too intrusive for another group. If they can be randomly given to a clerk then they should be randomly given to a CEO. If they can be randomly given to a trucker they should be randomly given to a lawyer. Equal protection under the law hasn't existed since the '70s at least.
You have a website?
Un-freaking-believable! Thanks for the info, copper. I'll be researching this in the near future. I foresee some bad mojo resulting from this. The law of averages insures that someone's going to open the wrong door eventually!
Perhaps not against this site, but "intense debate", because that is who is hosting mika's illegal IP gathering; though both are tied together. It's the way this law works.
If you could find an argument to support the idea that lawyers being on drugs will cause deaths, then I'd support your idea that lawyers should be drug tested. But, lawyers aren't driving 18 wheelers.
If the clerk or whoever did not want to take the risk of drug testing then they should not have signed the contract that stipulated it. Same with the military (and sorry if I made it sound like I meant you were on drugs in the military, I meant in general soldiers shouldn't be getting high).
The nanny state is generally understood to be a term meant to describe the welfare system. Public protection in public areas, as in drug testing of people driving 18 wheelers, is not meant to be a handout and can hardly be construed as over the top. If metal detectors are used to keep people with weapons off of planes, why shouldn't drug tests be there to keep us from getting crushed on the freeway?
I thought he was Permanent Pivot-Man.
Where is Hitlery, who repeated the following phrase as a Senator: what did she know about her husbands involvement and when did she know it.
If this were true, it would have made the news (FOX, at least) and caused an uproar by now.
Funny thing is that they have now admitted to violating the US Code. According to the law, it doesn't matter if the offer is paying or non-paying, the key is they were trying to influence a primary election which is punishable by jail time.
I don't think intensedebate is hosting his site. I think he is linked to another site like many people are linked to facebook in their "blogs/websites" section. If you want to look at his profile click the view profile link instead of the link. Also, I don't think it's illegal to have a website that keeps track of the IP addresses of visitors. How else do you think Drudge knew that his site was getting so much traffic from the house and senate?
A person who takes IPs is very different from Drudge or this site, or most other sites, who ask for your info.
And I didn't ever go to any outside site; just the personal profile we all have.
It actually is illegal for people to harvest IPs; especially when it is used for harassment. intimidation, or some other such purpose. And this IS exactly what mika is doing, per his post.
That's why they called. The whole effort is falling apart without him. He's the indispensable \”man\”!

When you click the link that says "mikatollah" it takes you to a blank page. I've done it before. You have to run your cursor over the picture and wait until the popup shows up then click on "view intensedebate profile" to see his intensedebate profile. He can't get your IP through intensedebate, it's impossible.
I really don't think telling someone you will call the police on them is a threat. It doesn't really mean anything and the police probably aren't going to do anything to you that's illegal.
He's probably lying through his teeth; however, one is supposed to alert one's local police in such cases……………so that you are on record should something untoward happens in the future. The police then gets in touch with whatever site is involved, gets the other person's IP and other info, which it keeps on record and which the complaintant doesn't ever see.
This IS how it is done and if there is a breach, at some future point in time, or harassment, the police will ask you why you didn't alert them before.
Obviously you are unaware of the ins and outs of this. I'm merely stating the facts, which I learned long ago, because this happened to a few people I know.
No, Mike is the registrant of several sites, one of which he's urged individuals to visit many times over the past year. That's how he logs IPs.
Alright, well, I guess I'm just not a very paranoid person.
Heh, now we know how he got all of those 'promotions'.
Da Tovarich!

It would be better to just notify suddenlink of his violating their TOS. I won't 'narc' on him but if someone else does, so be it.
Let me know how that works out for you.
It's not nearly so sinister. My website is hosted on my own server. And when anybody clicks on it they get my information and leave theirs. It's how the www works. I'm not mining for anything. I'm not interested in anyone's personal data because I've never been threatened and have had no need for it. Occasionally someone will take a little too much interest in me personally so I let them know they are not as anonymous as they think they are. That's usually enough to cool their jets.
Thank you sooooooooooo much for posting this threat mika, I knew you were tracking people and now I shall show the authorities I have already contacted, just what a little freaky dude you are –
thank you for being completely braindead.
But you're violating this site's TOS with posts like " If you think you can threaten me just know that I have your IP Address there in Pinellas Park."
That's a threat in itself, among others…. worse than what you did to wilbil.
Also…..

Is my having visited your website why I can't stay logged on, Mike?
Does Thomason still go to the Phillipines to recruit nurses, Jamesb?
Very good, Damn Lucky–that's all the analysis that needs. An extra ration of bacon for Damn!
Unfortunately, Looking, nobody "considers" joining a union.
This is pretty much how it goes down (at least in my case): You look in the paper for a job. You find a place that is hiring. You apply and interview. Congratulations, you're hired! You learn that your new employer is a union shop and you HAVE to join. You ask if there is any way to get around this. You are told absolutely NOT. You either take the job and join the union or your job search continues. In hindsight, I wish I'd kept looking.
That's not me… you need to take it up with Breitbart.
Just a bit cocky I'd say, but whatever
Yeah where is lilbil these days….
Let me know if you need anything from me.
You got it Damn_lucky, took the words right outta my mouth!
Jamesb Congratulations on your Graduation!!!…So you are working to become a
lawyer?…..Hope you have continued success in all you do!!!
The damn picketers were back in front of the car wash across the street from my office again this morning! Can you imagine that? They're picketing to unionize the towel jockeys at the car wash! I would normally call the LAPD non emergency phone number and have their party busted up (for the noise) but they were gone by the time I went from my car to my office.
I hate unions and I have a very good, very personal reason to. And I rarely use the word "hate."
He took you too seriously, Mike. Why else did he leave?
I don't know. Maybe he's just taking some time off. Or, maybe that foul mouth and bold talk was just a big show and he got scared. You'll have to ask him.
Thank you! I was an "early entry or prospect" into grad school but a few professors and an attorney friend of me confirmed what I had been thinking, take a shot at law school – so I'm going to prep for the LSAT and see how I do.
Thank you very much and please hug the pups for me!
