The latest: Union boss Leo Gerard writes that “The message of Massachusetts should be clear: If Democrats want to save their own jobs in the midterm elections this fall, they must create jobs now.”
Create jobs? Create jobs?! It’s truly a fundamentally different worldview — and the kind that led Democrats off the cliff in the first place — to believe the government, rather than American entrepreneurs create jobs. (Here’s just one retort to that kind of logic.)
In one sense, there is a way Democrats could create jobs: They could quit trying to kill job-creating employers. Shred cap and trade. Hit the reset button on health care legislation. And, particularly important given the disastrous push by labor bosses, toss card check. Quit trying to force “green jobs” by killing other jobs. Stop the devastating machine of regulation from steamrolling any hope of economic recovery.
The point of Massachusetts, and the point of mass protest, has been that the government is trying to do too much, control too much. It can only “create” economic growth by getting out of the way.

Thinking that government not only can create jobs, but is instituted for that purpose, leads to silliness like this.
The only thing those stupid signs lack, is a UNION emblem and slogan, with the statement:
" This sign proudly made in the USA by Union Labor."
It has been discussed in the past, but spending good dollars on stupid signs, to remind retarded voters of how much their government is spending, is idiotic. That policy is probably set, and issued by the "Department of Redundancy Department."
When has a democrat created jobs that weren't paid for by taxpayers?
Reagan (and others) developed the model of success. The underlying premise was the "exceptionalism of the American people and their entrepreneural spirit". Obama and his POS's will NEVER understand nor admit this method of success. They are in bed with organized labor. Unions cannot exist without business or government and sadly their "teat" is government. Nothing will change except voting them out. Even some labor leaders understand……

If they did "create" one job, I know I wouldn't want it. It would be some bogus way to spend your day like counting muskrats in the national park or working with the trade association to import more spermatucci suits from italy.

We have those signs too. I live outside of Pittsburgh, PA, and suspiciously, those signs went up on the road leading from the Pittsburgh International Airport into the city, on a highway that has been under construction for YEARS, right before the G20 Summit. Guess what? Work is now halted.

Cowboy! – Not in Rockdale County Georgia! I didn't see one suspected Union person near any of the many signs here this summer. Illegal immigrants of latino profile who usually hang at the Home Depot entrances and they were 95% of the road crews working near these signs this summer. All of the projects in Rockdale have been completed thanks to Mexicans an Thanks to the Feds stimulus!. Much of the $ probably went to Mexico.
Course SEIU and Acorn here in Atlanta are celebrating and counting many of the illegals as votes after Census here in GA.

I was just kidding Lorben, but now that I think of it there were three jobs or more that were created. There had to be an installation crew and a supervisor. Probably about 5 jobs in all. I've been complaining about these signs for years. All along I-5 in Washington State, they dot the shoulders. "It's your nickel, watch it work", "it's your dollar, watch it work". The average cost of these things are in the thousands of dollars of taxpayer money, funded, I'm sure from the state highway coffers that are continually filled by taxing the citizens to death.
Because sadly he would have been destroyed by the black community including the Raciest Race Baters, Al and Jessie.

I've alwaya loved the highway work signs telling me how much a mile of highway cost us taxpayers. Not that road improvement isn't important, it's just a matter of fixing the roads that need it. I say a special about our infastructure and how it's crumbling. If half the $$$ the chosen one has wasted was used to fix actual infastructure we would all be driving on new pavement.

They repaved a stretch of highway on route 8 here in CT. It did not need to be repaved, in fact, it is was one of the better areas of highway in our state. Every time I drove through there, I asked myself why the hell they were paving it. One day I noticed a new, flashy sign like the one pictured above and it all made sense. I am guessing they just picked random spots of highway to repave. Obama doesn't know his ass from his elbow. His "stimulus" has been a complete failure and waste of our money.

I have a little antidote that suggests the unemployment may be worse than you think. My brother-in-law lives in California. With the budget problems there many local state offices have been shuttered. My brother-in-law is unemployed, but has been unable to apply for unemployment because the only open office is in Sacramento, and they are overwhelmed with calls. Therefore he is only un-officially unemployed.
Putting America to Work, making and installing signs about putting America to Work.
