Merry Carbonless Christmas
by Bret JacobsonThis year hasn’t been kind to sensible policy, especially when it comes to energy and the environment (and efforts like “cap and trade” or a massive new energy tax to make carbon-based energy too expensive). Throw in massive new spending on health care deform, and all of a sudden it isn’t a very merry Christmas for the United States.
Maybe it’s time to start looking for the “gift receipt” on all this costly crud?

We don't even rate coal, we just get the bill.. The parties wish you a merry taxmas..
In the spirit of George Washington, 912 and tea, let us debate if the parties, more specifically here is the republicans worth saving.. I SAY NO.. I am an Independent and I support a no party system, just like George Washington. Here is where you will save your party, because it needs to convince independents like me to get on board. Save your thumbs for it is a liberal tactic and because it is debate not hate you need to get the people back. The parties turned their back on the people and this country and thus it is up to parties to convince the people they are worth saving. I can not lose this debate for the destruction of the party system for it was the parties that turned their back on WE THE PEOPLE.
Why do the parties refuse to destroy gerrymandering.. For it creates one party rule on the local level and thus what good does it do to save the republicans in a democratic district for they will elect a democrat and our march to slavery will continue.
How if we keep the military and leftards can have all the entitlement programs?
Seems like it would work all the way around, we hate the later, they hate the former, Merry Christmans indeed!

Maybe districts looking like road kill is too hard of a question… So why do the government parties forcibly take taxpayer money for their primaries and then exclude those same tax payers.
Maybe that was too hard.. Why do we allow political contributions from non real people? It only silences free speech of the real people.. The real voters..
To heck with that "carbonless" noise. It's mild here, so I'm going to grill burgers tomorrow. Not with a gas grill either, with real, actual charcoal. HA!
I got your "carbonless" right here, pal.
Too the axis government party members, both republican and democrat..
Please check your Alinsky tactics at the door..
My hero is George..
To government party members
Politics of king and country.. The politics you helped build and fight to maintain.. You said it yourself in more pleasant terms that you are the king maker.. I am tired of kings are you? You divided this country into democrat and republican districts as if dividing the spoils of war.. Let us peek into our future.. where all politics is local and 85% of incumbents will win re-election, because that is how the system is designed by the parties. . It is the party system that is corrupt and it is all about the money.. Taxpayer funds for fool’s gold. Or if you prefer ice cream.. You can change the republican party all you want it will have no effect on democratic district..
Until this country learns that our liberty is being stolen one tax, one regulation, one manipulation at a time and all in the name of the public good or is it for government good or is it for party good, we will lose the promise of America. You raise a tax/regulation some one will lose a job and thus a home and child will go cold and hungry. How much freedom do you have when your cold, broke, and hungry?
We can trade words, we can speak of freedom and how it all went wrong, but I have no ability to describe what freedom means to you ….you must feel it in your heart, but I do know the government will show you what it is not…and who controls the government? All of government from local to the rock star himself? The parties is the answer in case you couldn’t guess…
You have stolen my freedom by your love of party, but in the process you have sold your own. But I will tell you .We can repair the mistake of an honorable man, for he will hold himself accountable, but we can never fix the destruction of a lie.. And here we stand in a pile of lies. A piles of lies created by those who bought the parties…The parties that use the power of government to maintain their power and to silence the voice of dissention. When the hard working taxpayer voice is silenced then freedom can not live. I point to gerrymandering and all election process laws that are designed for re-election and have silenced the will of the people..
In this time of a truth is a lie and the lie is the truth I ask you to join Me and George or is it George and I.. to fight the party system and reclaim the dream that is America. MY hero George Washington spoke against political parties in his farewell address.. Will you?
As liberty slips through our fingers.. I remember the words of my hero George..

In life, pain is the real motivator to action. How much longer will it take before people truly understand it has been the party system that has allowed the corruption to steal so such money, but the real theft is to our freedom.
Once a nation followed George to freedom.. It is time to follow him to freedom again.. Walk away from your party.. For it is a thief, a king that weakens your heart and blocks your way to freedom..
That lost feeling in your heart is George Washington calling you to action. Read his farewell address and his warning about political parties.
Put country before party and register unaffiliated
i have to work will you please burn some extra charcoal for me
and just so you know i will be working to put cars back on the road from being wrecked so i have my carbon footprint and am also helping others to enlarge their carbon footprint as well.
Here is an excerpt from a post in January 2009 – "Keynes Gets It Right, Finally!!!! (Says Keith Olbermann and Joseph Goebbels)":
The world economy is so bad apparently even global warming is on hiatus. According to the NOAA in a report from January 8, 2009, temperatures in the US were only.2% over the twentieth century average, the coldest since 1997 and were below average for December. It seems even Heat Miser is cutting factory production. Since Americans are busy taking the blame for every other problem worldwide, we can at least feel good that we temporarily halted the creation of beachfront property in London.
This was a beginning of an argument against the inane U.S. stimulus package. Seems that worked out well. What do you think? To paraphrase Rousseau (not Marie Antoinette): "let them eat carbon!!!"
Lazy Jack

Ha! I'll up your grill with my two little pups who spew out more carbon than FOUR SUV's!

The problem is neither the Democrats nor the Republicans. The problem is "Law Enforcement". In spite of being sworn to "preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic", they continue to bow and scrape before their Masters and then do whatever they're told. Just like the fine German police under the Nazis. Unless and until the American public understands this, the prologue will continue. "Law Enforcement" is NOT your friend.
Obama breaths heavily while screwing us so he is increasing the carbon! Get rid of Obama and the Democrats and the carbon level will decrease!
Parody: Congress Tries to Stifle Santa's Coal Deliveries with Cap and Tax Regulations http://optoons.blogspot.com/2009/12/congress-trie...
Ha! I saw that, I'm gonna start adopting Liberals for my pets, and then blame them for my carbon foot print.
Question: What do Congress and Kevin Jennings have in common?
Answer: Bend over America (…you figure it out).
Yuppie neighbor: "Where are you going to put a tree that big?"
Chevy Chase: "Bend over and I'll show you."
Yuppie neighbor: "You can't talk to me like that."
Chevy Chase: "I wasn't talking to you."
Obama and company just went out and bought the biggest Christmas tree they could find and now they're going to load it up with everything they forgot to load into the original legislation.
Bend over, America. You're about to get an epic shafting and you get to pay for it too.
Just too depressing. I'd like to be anesthetized and wake up election day 2010.
WHAT A RETURN POLICY…………….
The only Receipt needed for Returning this B.S. is the one tied to the Obumba's Big Toe,
when the Mortician on COPS pulls the cooler box open and determines the president has
over stayed his welcome.
LOL! Upding!
That my friend is climate instability. Global warming wasn't cutting it, even climate change didn't really fit so now we have climate instability.
As to Christmas, unfortunately, there is no re-gifting or returns on these presents that Obama and company have given us.
Back in the 50's they wanted to triple the CO2 in the atmosphere to increase crop growth.
Every time you thumb .. I thank you.. you prove I am right.. And the whole country reads these things .. So you are helping me in my cause to destroy party system.. It is sad that debate is no longer possible with the party members they simply want us to sit down and shut up and stay in our place.. It might take a while but I am changing the country to true independence one person at a time.
Merry Carbonless Christmas republicans/democrats. gov. party members.
if cap and trade is meant to reduce co2 emissions does this mean congress is waging war on plants?
Thank you
George Cashingtons first Christmas as POTUS.

Remember The
Coming Ice Age from the 1970s? Remember what came next? Ronald Reagan.
Merry Christmas.
the link didn't work.
I wouldn't be surprised that this administration tries to outlaw Christmas before Obama leaves office. I can see it now, Obama preaching to us about the carbon footprint of celebrating the birth of Christ and how we must sacrifice Christmas to keep global warming from destroying us all. Stranger things have happened…
Sorry everyone…The Mt. Vernon site is now undergoing changes and the site isnt working.
It was a nice read.
I think carbon credits are going to become the Beanie Babies of this decade. The scramble for them is on.
I wonder what they will be worth when the fuss blows over and the reality of what an expensive joke they are sinks in?
Are they adding Obama's face!!!??
Obama has already tackyed up the White House…I just hope the trash can be cleaned out and burned!!!
One lousy bill down, 24 more to go…
Congratulatiions Marxists, you get nothing in the end except shown the door.
I feel a landslide coming, but it's not snow.
Filth
That wouldn't be such a bad idea, except you can't give those people ANY power without them wreaking havoc on whatever they touch.
You definitely can't give them power over the energy sector. Here's an example: http://thehayride.com/2009/12/are-congressional-d...
George Washington was a 3rd degree Mason, so was Thomas Jefferson, and John Adams, just to name a few. Ben Franklin was also an Illuminati member. All of which are secret societies that worship Lucifer! We were cursed coming in as a country and we're cursed going out, I assure you!
I am not sure the energy sector should be an entitlement program, it can more than pay for itself.
We are about to pay for decades of political greed that can not be denied..
The American people believe in redemption and second chances, which is good, but not when it is given to a politician. It is part of the original philosophy of America is to elect people who would fix some need and then good back to society and live under the rules that they created. The term re-elect spits in the face of that principle.
The old saying excuses are like axxholes everyone has one, well every politician has an excuse for failure.
Most states are fire at will, which translates your boss can fire you for good reason, bad reason, or no reason at all, and it is time to fire them all, so they can live under the rules they created. It is our duty to fire these politicians, so others can fix the problems that political greed has created.
How about we the feds just get the hell out of the way so the energy sector can create jobs and power a recovery? Would that be all right? Might cost George Soros a few bucks, but he has it to spare.
This has gone off in an odd direction
"We the feds" ?
Are you tyring to argue with me about something, or am I just misunderstanding your comment?
Scratch the "we."
The energy sector doesn't need entitlements, though. What they need is the freedom to do their jobs.
Yeah to be clear, the energy sector would not have been lumped in under entitlements in my orginal post, anyway
Merry Christmas
