I wish I could wish him well, but carbon taxes and carbon capping schemes would cost our economy trillions of dollars with little to no real environmental benefit.

I was on a writing site in 2008, when the presidential campaign was afoot. A couple of Commies there (writers) routinely claimed that G.W. Bush would prevent the elections going off as scheduled, opting instead to become President-for-Life, or some such nonsense.
I knew that wouldn't happen. That said, I'm not so sure about Mr. Obama-lama-ding-dong. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he proclaimed a state of emergency and started shooting resisters. I hate to say this.
He's already talked about raising a civilian "army" that would be just as powerful as our military. Why would a person of good intent want such a thing? One possible reason: Our military is sworn to defend the Constitution and to disobey unlawful commands. Maybe the civilian army would be loyal to the cult-of-personality personality, and not so loyal to the Constitution.

If you think that small business loans are better under Barry's Administration you are wrong. My company had a $10 million line of credit for the last 6 years. We occasionally drew this down to nothing when opportunities came up and always payed off the credit line with interest within 6 months of using it. We now have a $1 million dollar credit line because the bank does not like the risk. They liked it for 6 years and under Obama they no longer like it.

ALSO: Being a leader in the world America has already changed her behavoir without being told to do so. We did it in the 70's and late 80"s. Our use of energy is far more efficient than other nations. We have already been far more responsible with the "shared earth thingy" than other nations. Both India and China have been around far far longer than the USA. I have been to both India and China and they are both way behind the USA in being responsible. Both places are an ecological mess. I'm not entirely sure of the assertion that Obama wasn't born in the U.S., though. However, it hardly matters (except from a legal standpoint) because he most likely was not raised in the usual American Tradition, with respect to our values, traditions, and history. His wife provided us with a very clear window into this when she said "For the first time in my adult life I am proud of my country". In other words – she became proud of her country only when it was directly and substantially beneficial to her personally.

I agree it is very suspect that his actual Birth Certificate was not made available (as opposed to a Certification of Live Birth which is not a Birth Certificate). Still, it's hard to fake the birth announcement in the Honolulu Times (or whatever the paper is called). If we take the following premise as true, then it would lead to this conclusion:
Premise: Obama was actually born on American Soil
Conclusion: He is hiding his birth certificate from public eye for other reasons.
These reasons are speculative – but perhaps different parents are recorded than what he has stated publically. This would expose him as a liar. I hardly think he would be uncomfortable with that though….

In order to understand what his parents, and his grandparents were thinking you have to understand the world at the time. If he was born in Kenya as his grandmother/aunt have said… he would have been a British subject. The commonwealth was in decline and the US was a much better place to be from. By getting him back to Hawaii and setting up the certificate of live birth he became a defacto american citizen with all that came with it. At that time, our country was the only super power people wanted to move to.

However – and I see your point that the newspaper is not a legal document – but were they that smart? I mean, 45 years ago or so, they faked his birth certification and even called the newspaper for a birth announcement?
