Is Union Priority A Dunn Deal For Obama?

So what will the union do now that a top Obama aid is married to a lawyer who’s tied to a firm advising clients on how to avoid unions?

The quick back story: In April 2008, Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign was forced to demote its top strategist in large part because he was advising a campaign to push a free trade agreement with Colombia and operates a firm that fights union campaigns — both taboo for Democrats’ biggest special interest, organized labor.
But check out this twist, courtesy of LaborUnionReport.com. President Obama’s White House Communications Director, Anita Dunn’s husband is partner in a law firm that advises the president and fights union drives:
Ms. Dunn, according to Politico and other web resources, is married to a man named Bob Bauer. Mr. Bauer is a partner and Chair of the Political Law Group of Perkins Coie LLP.
Interestingly, according to the bio on his law firm’s website, Mr. Bauer is Counsel to Obama for America and General Counsel to the Democratic National Committee, and he has been counsel for many years to the Democratic Senatorial and Congressional Campaign Committees. Mr. Bauer is also the President’s personal attorney.
Sounds like Mr. Bauer is pretty connected, and his law firm sounds like a big deal. But LaborUnionReport.com also tracked down a wealth of evidence suggesting Bauer’s law firm actively helps companies prevent successful union drives, publishing a seminar document that explains “employers are strongly encouraged to have a candid discussion with experienced labor counsel about what they can do now to adequately prevent unionization.”
The law firm’s website specifically addresses the “card check” bill — organized labor’s top special interest power grab.
So SEIU and its allies forced Clinton to drop a top aid because he helped companies combat union smear campaigns … what will they do now that they know a top Obama insider works for the kind of union-avoidance firm that fights the ridiculously misnamed Employee Free Choice Act?
Will Obama continue to push EFCA and card check? Or will they take their lawyer’s advice and drop a bill that’s bad for small business and threatens to kill jobs. Or will he drop Dunn and Bauer?

Dunn and Bauer will probably be shown the door once the SEIU and other unions realize the threat and start whining. It's a given that Obama will continue to push for anything that will hurt business.
Obama is a Union man, there is no doubt of that, an it depends on what the union tell him to do.
The legal system in this country has never been about justice,, it is always about profit, and then always at someones expense. They do not contribute one penny to our GDP and only serve to frustrate business. They are for the most part blood sucking useless scumbags, offense intended.

I just instinctively disliked her while listening to her speaking about Mao – she just seems like such absolute slime.
Unions R not the only lobbyist who have us by the cajones. Politicrats have been granting favor since the generation of Lincoln. We can eliminate this w/ FairTax HR25/S296. fairtax.org or opencongress.
We have a 67K+pg tax code vs. 130pgs of FairTax. We can go even lower (tax rate) as business & individuals no longer plan their lives around IRS. Manufacturing & Mom&Pop's could flourish again. Foreign $ & investors would come home. The only 1's not helped by FairTax R lobbyist, politicrats, IRS employees. (Accountants would still B needed 4 payroll, accounting, and business planning.)
Excellent points, but may I make the suggestion that you drop the "netspeak" abbreviations? This site doesn't tend to go for them much and your message will be clearer to your audience.
They are also the lawfirm that Obama has paid over 1 million dollers to to keep his past hidden. This man is the person who wrote intimidating letters to American citizens threatening legal action if they came forward with information, or persued further seeking Obama's past, or his birth certificate.
It is very interesting that now Judge Carter in Calif. who is going to hear the first case on this has just had a new intern hired who just happens to have been at this firm from what we hear. If this is true either Judge Carter did not know it when he hired him, or Obama's firm have been successful in threatening this ex-Marine constitution loving judge.
Glen Beck reported last week that his "sources" are telling him that Dunn's husband is going to be given the job of top leagal council to the white house. Gee wonder why he is getting that job?
Ms. Dunn is a tad hypocritical, as well as serpentine……….

One point about the law firm Perkins Coie. Not only is Bob Bauer counsel to the President, but he been appointed to the Democratic National Committee. So, between the White House and the DNC, the entire Democrat establishment is represented by a firm that appears to be a "union busting" law firm.
The question then becomes, will the DNC and the President cut their ties with this law firm to appease their union buddies, or will the unions continue letting the DNC and WH talk out both sides of their mouth?
Her sticking out while she speaks is a common side affect of Thorazine. Truly the inmates have taken over the asylum.

According to Kenyan newspaper archives dating to 2004, Obama was born in Kenya. The Ghana papers said he was African born. And a British newspaper called him a British citizen because his father, a Kenyan native, was a citizen of Britain at the time of Bambi's birth (Kenya was a British territory at the time). Which means that Bambi would have been ineligible to be elected to the presidency and that everything he has signed into law can be immediately overturned and he can be removed from office and indicted. There has to be a reason people who once knew him are being threatened if they come forward with info on his past. You will notice that his people always say that he is a US citizen. I'm sure he is, but no one has claimed he was "native born," the only type of citizen who can run for the presidency or vice presidency.
Excuse my post above. I meant that Obama may be a US citizen, but that he can't prove he is NATURAL BORN, which is the only status of citizenship permitted to seek the presidency.

Anita Dunn is a complete disgrace to the American people and the Constitution of the United States. She has been on video indoctrinating high school students praising Mao. She also, must have neourological issue as well smacking her lips as she spoke! It was quite disgusting watching this video on Glen Beck show. Anita-YOU’RE no American! You’re a socialist pig!
