The cartoon, though good, is wrong in one respect………nobody ( well, everyonbe but the likes of the Gores and Obamas, et al ) will NOT be allowed to burn wood for heat.
Fur is out too, so is meat, as are any paper products, nylon, polyester, etc., for the lowly peons.
The elites will still be able to do whatever their evil hearts desire. This is right out of "ANIMAL FARM " ! We're all equal; it's just that some animals are more equal than others.

You will not be allowed to build a fire due to the emissions. This law is already in place in many areas. (Ask the people in Northern Nevada for starters)
You will not be allowed to own your own livestock unless you are a government approved farm. This is already a law in many locations. (Ask the farm co-op currently being prosecuted in Ohio for starters)
You will not be able to build fences to keep your neighbors out. To do so would be racist and offensive to your neighbors who may want to steal what little you are able to put together. (Take a look at our border for starters)
Subjection:
The canned goods would probably be banned since the cans are not environmentally friendly. If you did, you would have to recycle them and would not be allowed to throw them in the yard.
You would likely be fined for having trees, shrubbery or other plants since they illegally remove CO2 from the atmosphere without being able to be properly taxed.
The house would likely have to be made out of unshaped rocks since it will be equally as illegal to chop down the same tree that lives illegally because it would harm the environment.

I am all in favor of treading lightly on the earth and not leaving a mess behind. We can each be good custodians of the patches of earth which we call home or through which we travel. IOW, individual responsibility = good; government coercion = bad. The latter especially so when it is done by sanctimonious, hectoring hypocrites who live lives full of incredible conspicuous consumption.
We won't go to bed feeling good, we'll go to bed each and every night hungry. Hungry for our god given liberties…

Besides, the government will inform you what you can buy anyway, since the government will be running the stores anyway. And what will you buy? Whatever they have! My wish is that regressive libtards be subjected, even if only for a few days, to denial of half the goods and services, products of Capitalism, they take for granted every day. I have been doing my part by not mowing the lawn for a month at a time, let the
grassweedsgreen stuff get big enough that it more aggressively removes atmospheric carbon before getting shredded into mulch. No I do not have a bagger, I like leaving the many rows of clippings to encourage the deer and other wildlife to come out near the house. I hate disturbing the various grass-type snakes who enjoy the cover, but they do slither to safety rather fast.One thing I have considered, pygmy goats. There was a listing in the paper, only $50 each, I could stake them out and have them do the lawn. Nice and green, the neighbors will be thrilled with my efforts to save the planet. They could also be good for milking, maybe half of them. And come fall when the grass goes away, they could be "processed" easily. Eating what you raised, even more Environmental Soundness.
As long as no one gets offended by thinking "pygmy" is racist. Dwarf goats, maybe? Nah. "Little people" goats?

What? No, goats are natural creatures, they live in the Andes, and places, and nature is good. Remember, if they were left alone in nature they would have bred and been all over the place, so by having them I would only be restoring the natural order, best as possible.
Just think about the important stuff. Like not boiling a kid in the milk of its mother. As if these days people would even want young goat boiled in milk… Load up the solar roaster!
