Tea Party Preempts NAACP

The NAACP has apparently decided to call 20 million American patriots “racists” for advancing liberty and economic opportunity. Their evidence? Attendance at a Tea Party–anywhere, anytime. Specifically, according to the Kansas City Star (via Jim Hoft):
The resolution, scheduled for a vote as early as Tuesday by delegates attending the annual NAACP convention in Kansas City, calls upon “all people of good will to repudiate the racism of the Tea Parties, and to stand in opposition to its drive to push our country back to the pre-civil rights era.”
At midnight, the St. Louis Tea Party Coalition sent a resolution condemning the NAACP’s false and defamatory statement to the organization’s Washington bureau. We took this action because we will not stand for their lies.
The Tea Party’s principles are simple and clear:
- Smaller federal government
- Lower taxes
- Fiscal responsibility
- National security
- Federalism
Those are precisely the tools to lift all Americans out of poverty. They’ve worked every time they’ve been tried. In America, we just haven’t tried them in awhile, due in large part to the NAACP’s advancement of socialism.
Each of these First Principles protects the rights of every American—the rights inherent in our humanity, not phony “rights” invented by a bureaucrat. We stand for rights given by God that no man, no government, can justifiably deny or diminish. Our principles are the very same principles that the NAACP stood for in 1909 but has wandered away from since the 1970s.
When you look at the crime and poverty and family breakdown of the African-American community, where median household income is below that of illegal aliens, you see a half-century of failure by the NAACP. When you consider that the NAACP blocks every effort to educate the poor through school vouchers, you realize that the NAACP is all about power for a few, not opportunity for everyone. When you see that the NAACP refuses to condemn New Black Panther Party calls to murder police officers and babies, you understand how far that organization has fallen.
None of those persistent problems was caused by the tea party movement, yet the principles of the tea party are exactly what’s needed to wind down the multi-generational destruction in the African-American community. As I have said repeatedly, we measure compassion by the number of people lifted out of poverty, not the number who remain trapped. We promote hope and achievement through liberty, safety, and pursuit of happiness. That’s all we want.
The NAACP was once a vital weapon in the war against segregation and oppression. All that’s left is abigoted and malicious shell that does far more harm than good for people who need a break.
The NAACP should give reason and decency a break by withdrawing its false and defamatory attack on the tea party movement.

No need to get angry over this. Most Americans could care less what the NAACP says.
The media has been pushing the race card since the first protest. It hasn't worked then and it won't work now. They've over played their hand. The word "racist" literally has no meaning anymore.
And of course, the irony is that a large portion of tea party supporters and tea party candidates are minorities themselves. Some of the most visible tea party candidates like Allen West, Tim Scott, and Nikki Haley are minorities.
It's about time we stood our ground! If We The People stick together, just think of what we can accomplish!
After we fire the criminals on the hill we need to do something about the media. They are working for us too, they are suppose to protect us from false accusations, instead they are most of the problem!
The old media is dying. The old powergroups are losing their memberships. New media is growing as the old continues to refuse to honestly report the news. Sure, the NAACP will gain for the short term, but look for them to crash in the mid-future when someone on the old media smartens up and starts reporting the truth and so starts making a profit.

Of course, the energy expended to defend yourself against such lazy accusations is always going to be way out of whack, but if you don't "protest too much," the MSM takes it as a sign you're guilty. And if you do protest too much, the MSM takes it as a sign you're guilty. The world has tipped upside down.
Personally, I would replace the listed item Tea Party principle "Federalism" with "Constitutionalism". I'd like to avoid giving the federal government any excuse for getting a swelled head. They need their collective nose rubbed in the Constitution at every opportunity from here to eternity.

The pathetic progressives do not have a thing left in the bag of tricks except the ol’ race card. The feeble attempt to characterize the Tea Party as a group of racists only proves that they are now grasping at straws. This has been the rule of play since well before the Democrat primaries, but clearly they used it on themselves. I specifically remember the Obama camp slinging the race card at the Clinton camp during the primaries. I just wish that more Americans would see the divisive nature of their supposed champions. I pray that one day we will crush racial politics like the bug it is.
I'm a big guy, was a big kid. Lot's folks young and old would want to take their chances. I figured out I'd look bad if I backed down and looked bad if I fought. But I soon figured out I could look bad while bloodying the punk I was fighting. Even with the often inevitable physical pain, fighting a good fight always feels better than backing away from one.

I also hope that tea party groups across the country follow suit. The establishment media will ignore one group, but they can't ignore hundreds of them.

It is pretty amazing how completely worthless the NAACP is. A shame really. It used to be such a good and noble organization, but now it's simply a vehicle to purvey extremist rhetoric and racial animus.

The NAACP has become a group of liars if they go through with this. This says something fundamental about the character of their leaders. Martin Luther King, Jr. would be ashamed of them! Only racists would look at a group of Tea Party participants protesting for smaller, more responsible government, and see ONLY the colors of the faces in attendance. That's the very definition of racist. They themselves ARE what they condemn — a pack of racist liars!

I agree! I stated in a post a few weeks ago, that when obama was campaigning, I knew that if he was elected we were in big trouble. But I also had a slight itsy, bitsy, piece of hope, that he was the one guy who could put this racist mess to rest once an for all. And Unite us all like we never was before. Think about it, if he really wanted to Unite this Country, he could have a long time ago.

This isn't a good fight because it isn't an issue, name calling is only an issue if it results in a negative reaction–anger–. This is a child's game played by children. Laugh at them, ignore them and stay focused on talking to all Americans about government being the problem…..Winning back our country will feel better than fighting a child's game.

It has been but another way the progressive movement is attempting to divide people. Look at how the free enterprise system has been attacked. Large companies (employers) demonized, “time to get some skin in the game” attacks on people with larger incomes, the whole “they have more than you do, so you should get some of theirs” grifter attitude, is what fuels economic hate. The United States is a wealthy nation and we should be ashamed of our success attitude is what sits in our legislative and executive branches of government today. This sore has been festering. Yes the legislative body will be changed in November. The peoples mentality will change when educated.
Your list is great, but it is threatening to the Democrats. If blacks do what you have suggested, they will no longer be looking to the Democrats to solve all their problems and give them stuff. The Democrats are the modern version of overseers making sure they keep the majority of the blacks working for them on the plantation to reap their votes.
We (the Tea Parties) have come a long way in a little over a year but that will pale in comparison to what we can and will accomplish in the coming months. We not only surround them, we outnumber them.

Their tactic…… say it enough times, allow the press to do nothing to investigate and at some point enough people might believe them. What a sad state of affairs in our once great country.

The desperation of all the lefty groups is starting to show. Every day, worse news for the Dems. The writing is on the wall. We have a great opportunity to pull Obama's teeth this November.
It's all about turnout, though. Not only do we have to actually vote, we have to get others to vote as well. Please do your part. Talk to your neighbors, especially seniors, and remind them of the importance of voting. Offer to take them to the polls if you can. Make it your goal to not only vote yourself, but be responsible for at least 6 more votes cast!

In Washington D.C. several black Democrat representatives claimed they were called the N-word while walking through the crowd prior to the healthcare vote. They purposely walked through the crowd hoping something would happen. When nothing happened, they made the false claim of being called the N-word. They are LIARS! Because they taped the whole walk. If they had anyone on the tape calling them the N-word it would be looped over and over again by the so-call Main-Stream Media. Instead, the lies are being perpetuated by the media…
…The Obama Administration’s Justice Department, led by Eric Holder refused to prosecute members of the New Black Panther Party for voter intimidation. J. Christian Adams, who resigned from the Justice Department, stated the Justice Department dropped the case for racial reasons. Adams claims the administration has failed to prosecute non-whites when it comes to voting intimidation cases. So, who are the REAL RACISTS?
The Tea-Party protesters are patriots exercising their First Amendment Rights and are opposed to Obama’s vision of transforming America. It is a good thing there are alternate sources of information out there to get the TRUTH.
