7 Steps to Ensuring Your Liberty
by Bill HennessyA Washington Post/ABC News poll shows a major shift in sentiment toward (against?) the tea party movement.
As an original tea party organizer, this shift doesn’t surprise me. By “this shift,” I refer to the the tea party’s popularity waning among Southerners and people aged 18 to 29. The poll shows that a full 50 percent of Americans now have a negative view of the tea party.

Sure, there may have been some chicanery with the questions to skew the results. But only a true shift in sentiment would result in change this big. After a year of wall-to-wall coverage of “tea party,” this downshift should come as no surprise.
I think there are several issues here:
- Rand Paul’s performance since the primary has been a net negative. I pointed out on Larry Kudlow’s show on CNBC the day after Kentucky primary that Paul’s candidacy is not a referendum on the tea party movement. Nothing is. But he and some tea partyers insisted on linking the two, and his handling of controversy has been less than spectacular.
- In Nevada, Michigan, and elsewhere, leftists have created fake “tea party” parties that have damaged the brand by running Democrats pretending to be tea partyers. The idea is to split the center-right vote to allow the like of Harry Reid back into Congress.
- In-fighting among tea partyers has left a foul taste in the mouths of many. This development shouldn’t be a surprise. The tea party movement has no structure or hierarchy to keep order, and it’s filled with people who are new to this arena. We make mistakes, people. Get over it.
- Some disenchanted Republicans who were early tea partyers have returned to the GOP. That doesn’t mean they won’t continue to fight the good fight. It means they’ll do so under a banner they’re more familiar with.
- Zealots and purists have splintered off and driven away more pragmatic reformers. We’ve seen this in numerous places across the country. When the zealots lose, they tend to take their balls and go home. They also tend to turn off the people who just want their country back.
- After a year of hearing “tea party, tea party, tea party,” many people are probably just tired of hearing about it. I am tired of hearing about it. I want to rack up some damn wins and get about fixing the country, and really don’t care what was call the thing that does it.
- We’re in The Dip
These shifts in sentiment should come as no surprise. Instead, they indicate that our movement is growing up. Part of that maturation process involves channeling our energies into outgrowths of the tea party movement.
Ensuring Liberty and similar organizations allow the tea party passion to yield actual results. The tea party movement is indispensable for its passion and energy and new blood, but 10,000 angry people don’t win elections. Ten thousand voters, multiplied by tens of thousands precincts, win elections. Ensuring Liberty—founded and directed by local tea party organizers from several states—combines the spirit and values of the tea party with strong campaign experience and a Congressional caucus.
Together, the people, the passion, and the principled accountability give grassroots conservatives a tool for managing Washington that we’ve never had before.
So what can you do? How can you take this passion, this glorious coming together that we’ve experienced since February 27, 2009, and turn it into a wild victory celebration on November 2? Let’s start with this list:
- Invest in an organization that is engineered to win important races and to hold the new Congress accountable. I helped launch Ensuring Liberty to do just that, and we need your support to get there. Please join today so you can tell your kids, “I helped ensure your liberty. Now clean up your room.”
- Take personal responsibility to register everyone in your house to vote.
- Launch a community building project like St. Louis’s Block Captain and Liberty Evangelism project. Give people the power of personal freedom by handing them a Constitution with your email address on it, saying, “Please take this as a gift. Please read it and decide for yourself whether Washington is living up to the promises in those documents.”
- Use the buddy system to make sure everyone you recruit votes in the primary and on November 2. That means you commit to getting someone to the polls, and someone commits to making sure you vote. Take ownership of this job. Let nothing stop you.
- Put in for vacation on November 1, 2, and 3. Do it right now. Your kids need you to get out the vote on their behalf. Let nothing stop you. (You will still be partying on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m., so you might as well not even think about working that day.)
- Vote early and get your friends and neighbors who agree with you to vote early.
- Every night before you go to bed, write a positive journal entry describing the feeling, the sounds, the news of November 2 and 3. Go ahead and project. Describe Ed Martin’s victory speech when he unseats Russ Carnahan in Missouri. Or write about Nancy Pelosi breaking down in tears as she kisses the Speaker’s Gavel good-bye. What will Frank Rich say? How about Paul Krugman? Keith Olbermann? What could be more fun than hearing Chris Matthews describe the “Tea bagger temper tantrum” that overturned Congress? Write Rush Limbaugh’s opening monologue for November 3.
The name of the movement doesn’t matter. It never did. Names are symbols. The name came from the name of an event—a “tea party” held to demonstrate that we’d had enough. That phase is over. Everyone knows we’ve had enough. Now it’s time to act.

There are many Tea Party patriots out, and around this country. So, make sure you stay in touch with the original tour bus and people. They will be on tour once again before the elections. So, watch for them coming too a city near you. GOD BLESS AMERICA. Restore the Republic.

More fun than hearing Chris Matthews… hmmm…. how about seeing the look on Harry Reid's face at the unemployment office?
The Tea Party is some areas indicates a rise in Libertarianism, which is distasteful to some conservatives. I think the
Tea Parties will continue to mature, and those that left will come back especially if Tea Parties keep their message refined to fiscal issues.
This is a center right country and don't believe any poll that says otherwise! Around here, the Tea Party movement enjoys a vast majority of popular sentiment. I believe it is here stay!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2Rtd1UbUNU
The tea party is like the weather… there are natural up and down cycles… No global warming and NO tea party waning. Just natural cycles.
The list of 7 things is good. I think #8 should be to encourage people to think for themselves and try to comprehend the constitution. This should include some economic education so people can comprehend that "what can the gov give me now" hurts them in the long run… versus how can I better myself and save my own money in order to buy something I want!
I would rather the Tea Party to dissociate itself from far-right or fringe groups that doesn't believe in the greatness and future of America, only themselves and their personal agendas. Far-right/fringe groups aligned to the Tea Party are actually giving the MSM and the left more ammunition to convince middle-of-the-road Americans to veer away from the Tea Party movement and losing the support the movement has enjoyed so far.
My dream journal entry made during the wee hours of early Nov. 3:
1. Harry Reid has been retired
2. Nancy Pelosi loses the gavel and her mask peels off to reveal she is a transvestite.
3. Robert Gibbs starts "talking in tongues"
4. Rush announces the TOTUS has begun to run backwards and eventually goes up in smoke.
5. Obamao develops a severe stutter and must smoke cigarettes to calm himself during all speeches- which are so incoherent, each sentence must be explained by Biden.
Sounds more like an article to promote the dudes Ensuring liberty sight by putting down the teaparty and saying his is better.. Buddy, the more you do that- the more I don't want to go to your sight. I may have gone if you said you wanted to enhance the tea party movement but no- you had to justify why you believe the tea party is slowing down and promote yourself. Ugh. I may be only one but you lost me with that behavior.
Sorry if I misinterpetted that but unfortunately that is what I personally read.
fortunately the 'Tea Party' is not a real party…
THAT is it's saving grace. It is what it is- for now. Basically about seventy million Americans are horrified about which direction this country is taking.
THAT is incontravertable. No amount of media spin will change it. You simply cannot demonize that many people.
What IS occuring is a serious vetting of all candidates- based on one overarching principle. Are you fiscally responsible? Sure, there is left wing tomfoolery going on with fake tea parties and the like- and Dems lying their rears off to get elected- Murtha's old seat in PA a perfect example.
The real question is will the movement be well informed and ready in November?
As the magic '8 ball' would say: 'all signs point to Yes'…
The Tea Party should define itself as a big tent for people who are concerned about govt spending and the expansion of govt power.
8- Make sure your household has at least one gun or rifle with plenty of amo
Look, the Tea Party seems to be a one trick pony who has no plan B. You can snivel until the cows come home and those Democrats and RINOs will not care a lick. You have to starve the Beast in Government.
Why do those who think they love freedom hire Democrats as employees and venders? Stop it!
Why are employers falling into the Union trap of mandating the hire of people with degrees? The promotion of Tyranny by the aging Hippies in our University system is well Documented. Rush, Glenn Beck, Shawn Hannity and many other leaders in the Conservative movement have no degree. See it yet? Great minds do not need a Hippie/Sissyfied University Degree. Notice how many jobs advertise for Spanish Bi-Lingual Speaking ONLY need apply? I would think the Tea Party people would find some problems with this inside of the USA but, auh never mind. If I were king of the Tea Party. I would scream from the Mountain Tops that press 2 for Spanish was un-acceptable and would consider a class action discrimination suit vs the US Gov. for all the other foreign language speaking inside of the USA. Where is press 7 for Cantonese or 15 for Ukraine? Pols? Arabic? Auh,Never mind!
Tea Party needs a wake-up call. The tactics are not working when it comes to stopping the radical machine. Now some will argue it is look at what is happening with the primaries and some early election. Ok fine I'll give you that but the big battles have been lost. The radical machine still spends out of control and continues to pass legislation the people are against. They hear you loud and clear America, the radicals are not listening!
For those that will argue with me, condemn me possibly bash me I have one date for you…. 3/21/10. The date the HC Bill was passed, a bill every tea party group and protest was hell bent on stopping with the typical run of the mill tactics, tactics that don't work, history now shows us this to be true.
Nov is coming with some hardcore political races from individuals who have been in power for up to and over 30yrs. Do you think it will be so easy to take them out? Do you think the special interest groups and radicals are going to get bulldozed over so easily? These are individuals with a lot of money and a lot of power; the same money and power than rallied the brainless and uninformed who put BHO into office.
Its time to Kill the Tea Party Rise Up Patriot Party
You are at a place and time in history where you have to make a decision to cross the line to affect real change or continue to do the same things over and over again expecting a different outcome. For those who don't know that is considered insanity. Now is the time to give corrupt politicians, bias fringe media and special interest groups a dose of their own medicine… a "lethal" dose through http://www.savingtherepublic.com
Here is a current list of the Marxist, Socialist, Communists that need to be voted out: http://www.tysknews.com/Depts/gov_philosophy/dsa_...
I'm predicting a helluva storm in November…
BMartin. Welcome to the club. The water is warm and I have been screaming the same thing from the Mountain Tops.
Tea Party. I have given you a plan B C D and E. You guys will not listen as you hold your signs watching Rome Burn. Good thing it was not up to you guys or we would still be flying the Brits Flag and you would still be holding the same old tired signs.
I think the Tea Party lost steam because they realized that Dems could care less what they think. The GOP is paying attention becuase it affects their primaries. I think the T Partiers are busy influencing friends and family on how to vote and they realize the only impact is at the ballot box. The remaining question is can they counter balance Big Labor?
I wouldn't be too hard on T Party. It was a spontaneous mobilization of folks who had not been politically active before. Give em credit they are awake and fighting unlike the majority of zombies. They will make some mistakes along the way – but cut them some slack. We are all pushing for the same positive changes. The vast majority are good people and dedicated Americans. The real enemy are the Progressives and Big Labor ( same thing) that are destroying the country.
If they have a D after their name just say NO.
Ahh knocking down my point system tells me I am right and dead on… the truth hurts but you need to hear the tough love guys. Take the red pill open your eyes and see what is really going on!
The TEA Party simply needs to KEEP IT SIMPLE!!
Smaller Government
Less Spending
Lower Taxes
THAT'S IT!!!! No social or moral issues, no hard right religiosity. Keep it to simple point, BIG POINTS that EVERYONE with any mind at all can get behind!
several names missing like Boxer Feinstein etc
I think you need to change your logo personally. While I don't necessarily plan to implement some of the tactics you suggest, it is surely no worse than what the left does. I do not think anything illegal should be done, but I don't think I saw any illegal actions promoted in your ideas. But upon initial entry into the website, one would think you are a violent militia. Just a thought.
You'll probably hate my stance on the whole subject, but here is what I feel about it. Could we lose some of our freedoms and become a European style social democracy? Yes it is very possible. I'm going to spread all the truth I can and let everybody know of the liberal corruption. I'm going to educate myself on all the issues I can so I can sufficiently debate and also truly understand my stance. But beyond that if we end up like Europe, then it will be because of the vote of the majority of the public. I'll be there saying "I told you so.", but I'm not going to go to do anything shady to try to stop it.
The original tea party was done because they didn't have a say. They didn't have a choice. Today we have a choice. We have a vote. If people make the wrong choices, then they did so of their own free will.
But I understand your point of view as well.
Agreed
Or write about Nancy Pelosi breaking down in tears as she kisses the Speaker’s Gavel good-bye.
Something about a gavel planted on Nancy's kisser bring tears to my eyes as well. The downside…unemployment increase in the botox industry.
Tea Party. Should you work to stop this? On or about Jan. 1, 2011, federal, state and local tax rates are scheduled to rise quite sharply. Given what's going to happen to tax rates, this conversion seems like a no-brainer.
The result will be a crash in tax receipts once the surge is past. If you thought deficits and unemployment have been bad lately, you ain't seen nothing yet. This is a winning issue the Tea Party could take on right now.
See Laffer Associates http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704...
or do what you do best and stand around as Rome Burns.
So you will continue with the tactics of the past which history shows do not work! Enjoy the insanity with others in denial you haven't hit that point in your life to accept reality. Of course none of my tactics are illegal. I like many are pushing to stay civil within the rule of law as the radicals are banking on an event, the TP will be set up in the coming mos and next pres election and blamed for something. The radicals have tried several times already.
Go ahead folks keep phoning, sending faxes, emails and holding your protests with those cute signs and wonderful chants they worked so well when the big issues came to front. They worked well stopping the HC bill from being passed and signed into law didn't they?!
I was under the impression that this was already going on….
Just because the MSM doesn't get it and tries to paint the tea party people as Evangelical Christians, doesn't make it so.
eh eh you got # 2 wrong… its transvestite donkey witch
3 get the name right robert "baghdad bob" gibbs
exactly right
they sure outnumber it…
And we're not sure they so much lost steam as they have been compromised by the attack media. As said, this is an amorphous movement based on narrow ideological grounds. Nothing fancy, here. The mischief in Progressive circles to diminish- and fool- both the tea party and their base isn't going anywhere, either.
As Samuel Clemens once said: 'Rumors of my demise have been wildly exaggerated'…
I am associated with the tea party. Do not discredit it. I would not presuppose that they are down and out. I would propose that we are waiting until October to return like the Phoenix of mythology. Why burn oneself out now. Why not wait, relax, study, and gather one's strength for the big push in October. That is the month to rise again to strike the bad guys when they think they have it in the bag. An entire month to discredit the progs and demonstrate the strength of the silent, American majority.
It is also summer time. Gotta spend time with the family and kids. Some travel, some vacation, some good quality time.
Consider that Rome wasn't built in a day. The dismantling of 50 years of socialist thought doesn't happen overnight. We are in for the long haul. Nov is but the first act, and there are many more to follow. I just hope I'm around to see us take back the country. I detest the idea of my grandchildren and great nieces and nephews living under bondage of the state or an oppressive religious fairy tale initiated by a drug swilling pedophile.
The seething anger in this country about all things Washington is still there, I expect an October rage.
If you’re in the political business, don’t make long term plans.
A Washington Post/ABC poll…please!
Exactly. And no one can attack those planks and look sane.
Dems will NEVER care what regular Americans think. Dems hate regular people as far as I know. Dems only pretend to care about minorities and union members.
And I don't know about your area, but around here, the TEA partiers and the 9/12ers are doing a great job of getting conservatives involved, informed and elected.
What a great idea. Keep it simple, and we can keep it together.
The Tea Parties shouldn't protest mosques at 9/11, shouldn't support or oppose abortion, shouldn't fight for or against one party or the other.
Just reduce spending, shrink government, and lower taxes.
But what about the "republican" ideas of spending, like the wars and medicare part D? Oppose them as well.
What about regulation? Well less of it, smaller government.
It's a great idea, but the Republicans might object. Still, it's important to stand for something.
No to healthcare taxes
No to more government regulations.
No to excess spending.
Taxed enough already.
I agree with you that so long as we remain an "unofficial organization" we are better off. The Left is practically GASPING to have us form a hierarchy so they have a head to attack. And they absolutely HATE that we aren't going along with their plans to suddenly let our "inner thug racist" show (sorry- it's just not there!) for all America to see.
We're on the right track. Let's not get distracted- too much work yet to do. Even if we do win every seat in the House and Senate and beyond, we won't be finished for a long time.
It really doesn't matter anymore if The Tea Party still has the momentum it has had. The simple fact is that even people who "do not" identify or agree with the Tea party ideals are furious at this administration. Many of the Obama supporter I know have completely flipped on him, meaning they want the guy gone too. The theme of the defections among the lefties I know is not the deficit, it's his inept handling of the gulf oil spill.
No matter how influential the Tea Party is or isn't anymore, there is one simple fact you can't take away from it…….They started the housecleaning of Washington and they will finish it……..
and………I've been waiting all my life to say this dcase……Congrat's to the Stanly Cup Champion Blackhawks……..
This actually IS how the TEA party is "defined". Anyone who takes news from the MSM will never know what's happening.
As a former Chicagoan I agree completely! Go Hawks!
They are doing as well as they can, but I am in friggin California where Zombies rule. But even in California there will be some competitive races this time that will keep the Soros troops pinned down.
Far right? Such as?
Not eligible for unemployment as he would be fired for cause!
One of the few things that Chicago has earned in hard fought competition, Congrats!
So true………..I'm just waiting for Barry to step in and claim credit for it………
Seems like the Dems forgot to learn from American history about Tea Parties!
I hear you but the "one-trick" you allude to is important as far as getting the other things done: WE NEED TO IDENTIFY, NOMINATE and ELECT CONSERVATIVES. We need to elect people who will truly respect, honor and defend the Constitution. We need to elect people who want to serve the American people and America first, rather than their own greedy ambitions. I don't say it will be easy; it will be difficult, but it has to be done.
Moreover, it is important that party lines not be respected. Whatever party a true conservative may belong to (though a real Democrat conservative probably doesn't exist), they are valuable. We are not out here to benefit parties. We are out here trying to benefit AMERICA and Americans.
You honestly have no idea what the various conservative groups are DOING, and it's too bad. We're educating ourselves in the process of getting elected to the party committees, where we can effect change to our advantage. We are getting people onto the school boards, so our kids will stop being indoctrinated by Leftists. We're getting people organized to volunteer for local conservative candidates. We're DOING things. Yes, we still make time for protests and rallies, but you're only seeing part of the picture.
I hope what YOU'RE doing doesn't undo a lot of OUR good work.
Make sure they're not more conservative than the the nominee with the (R) or the (C) after their name first. Remember how we got screwed in NY-23 with Dede Scozzafava! The Democratic nominee was less liberal than she was.
Thanks, Michael Steele!
Isn't responsible spending a moral issue? I think the fact that the debt will eclipse the GDP in 2014 is a social and a moral issue.
Government has turned into a business, and like any business it will attempt to grow and expand. The politicians are the executives and middle management of the company and won't easily give up their positions, the only way for this to end is to ensure that the federal government is reformed to its constitutional limitations.
I don't believe the GOP power structure is serious about doing that, they would be diminishing their own power, I know the Dim's are not, the tea party movement or it's supporters do and the first principles behind the movement are the only chance the country has.
you get the point exactly…
70 million citizens united- not behind a person, but a cause- makes the Alinsky playbook of ridicule, marginalization, and demonization flat out ineffective. Since they are married to their tactics- the Left, like all collectives- does not think well on it's feet, they are maddeningly reactive to the sound and fury of the tea party. That's why Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin serve such wonderful purpose- they are nominal figureheads; not leaders.
If anyone stumbles, someone else just picks up the banner and charges forward.
Kind of like another revolution 244 years ago…
Patrick Kane! The man! Hossa curse? what's that?….
Thanks- the city of Chicago (ok, so we're hated nationwide, yeah we know) and the great Blackhawk teams of the past deserve this…
Yep, Barry is in it up to his ears- lying to us- and overpromising and underdelivering to his leftwing nutjobs. Must be a real heartbreak.
Oh well, couldn't happen to a nicer guy. That said, the beast is wounded-
and STILL dangerous…
No I do know and how exactly will YOU stop ACORN, SEIU, AFL-CIO, true Progressives, the Fed those not in political positions involved with the systematic destruction of this country that cannot be voted out. Crime Inc, ever hear of it most didnt until that "loon" on TV started naming names. How are you going to stop those types of people? Hmmm? How are you going to stop that machine?
No sir I do see whats going on its beyond political parties that are prey to elections. How will you stop the Al Gores, George Soros', Bill Gates (yes I said Bill Gates! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZNyo0Gu7064 ) What you guys are doing are things on the surface; whats on TV today or in the headlines. Educate ppl & kids to no end but that isnt going to do much to stop this power machine in place; you have to take the fight to them. No this is not some rant against those considered in the conspiracy world part of the CFR, Bilderbergs etc these are ppl in the open no conspiracy its right there, their words are there for all to see and hear. How will you stop them? They have more money and power than your committee will ever have. These are ppl that can make your committee and activist groups go bye bye if they want. Watch and see I have said it repeatedly the TP movement will be set up and blamed for an event, then things will drastically change. This isnt about BHO its about the machine behind him and all of them its bigger than any of us can imagine. Its the crazy talk, things inconceivable that are reality in play right now! This thing is big, its been in the works for decades they aren't going to just give up without a fight or lose it all in an election.
My friend we are on the same team, understand this, what I am doing is for you, me and kids to grow knowing the kind of America we had growing up. More importantly what I am doing is the last line of defense directed towards those who feel helpless and hopeless. Hopefully giving an outlet to those on a thread who are on the verge of going to that dark place no one wants to go. This country is a powder keg, I have seen and heard things you don't want to know about there are some looking for an excuse to start something. If what I am doing can give one of them an outlet to get that pressure level down before they snap then so be it. TIME is not on our side.
Summer time. People around here are volunteering for local conservative candidates, getting themselves out on the street with petitions to sign so they can get on the ballot for school boards, get on ballots for party committeemen, maybe even run for local or state offices. Some are volunteering to get the word out about candidates. Vacation? Maybe for a week or so. But there is a lot of ground to cover between now and November!!!
But yes, it will take a long time to fix these problems. I will pace myself
that's harsh…
But most likely true, sorry to say.
I also read that this was the definition of the tea party- I would suggest going to the national tea party website and reading the mission. The tea party movement also says it is NOT interested in forming a 3rd party but to work within and get rid of the bad eggs. (alas, with the lack of people keeping involved with what the politicians were doing we let a bunch of the corruption in ourselves- myself included and I am embarrassed- but the silent majority is waking up and we will get our country back!)
a little sidenote is necessary…
The tea party is only a leading edge of one blade in this struggle. It, like Palin, takes the blows and suffers the consequences. No one single party will stand a chance against the 100 year plan of the Progressives- they are close to success- and they will, with their willing minions, destroy anything in their path.
IF they can- and what is happening now is a self-reveletory moment for the US citizenry. They are smelling the coffee, so to speak. Your enthusiasm is a good thing. Let ALL of these movements surge forward at once.
Speaking the SAME mesage. That's the key…
amen!
I started to be turned off whenever Sarah Palin got attached as part of the tea party "leadership." While I agree with some of the things she says, she's hugely divisive. Her concept of "real Americans" and her leaving of the Alaskan post have soured me against her. While I disagree with almost everything Obama and his goons stand for, they are Americans. There used to be an old concept that said, ""I disagree with what you say, but I will fight and die if need be to protect it."
Same thing here. The Tea Party started off wanting to change politics, that is government. And it still is trying that to a huge degree. But when we want to change people, that is where the danger comes into play.
A far left government destroys people through legislation and taxes (i.e. socialism). A far right government destroys people through seeking to impose a standard "moral" or "patriotic" mindset (i.e. fascism).
When the tea-party started to move away from focusing of fixing the government (lowering taxes, balancing the budget, freeing the people) to ostracizing a people (i.e. liberals), that's when they lost me.
In before, thumbs down, liberal, commie, mutant, traitor.
To hockey for a moment…………..I'm happy for the whole team and for us loyal "lifetime" fans, but the fact that Hossa finally got the cup was so incredibly cool. One of my vehicles has tags that reference that I'm a Hawks fan and over the past few months everyone under the sun has asked how the heck I got them…………answer, I've had them almost 18 years……….no bandwagon jumper here……….Okay hockey geek moment over………
It's funny how fickle people are with celebrity, and that's all Obama is, a celebrity! Not the President, not a leader, nothing but a celebrity and eventually all celebrities bomb at the box office.
The gulf is Obama's Ishtar……………
Socialism is slavery, socialism is enforced at the point of a gun. Tell those socialist friends of your that they are slavers, enslaving the populace every step they take.
Don't beleive that socialism is slavery well let me lay it out for you…..
Don't pay your taxes………
The government shows up on your dorrstep , most likely in the middle of the night, and kiddnaps you from your family. Then while your in chains behind bars they steal all the stuff you worked to build, in the process displacing your family. All the while you get bigger and bigger bills for lawyers, palce to live for the family and because you are in jail you have no way of paying the bills.
So lets see, your imprisoned, all your stuff is stole, your family is out on the street AND SEPARATED from you, and your in chains! STOP WORKING WITH, FOR, AROUND SOCIALIST THEY ARE EVIL SLAVERS!
"pretend to care about minorities"
I really hope those groups are starting to realize that they are being used as a means to an end by democrats. Every time the liberals help minorities, the lives of these same minorities gets worse.
The MSM doesn't need ammunition to attack us, they do it without facts or the need to find the truth. I was called a racist by a passerby, mind you my black friend was standing right next to me, go figure. Almost everyone like my signs, but they complained that my website(confirmed dead) seemed to incite violence.
The sign read
Commie red tax monster (proud capitalist)
the other side had a picture of chairman Mao and said
millions killed, billions enslaved
Socialism still enforced at gun point
Almost every news site locally used my poster as the header, not one picture of me, not one interview from me. They didn't want to talk to someone who had put some thought and effort into their poster, and might have something important to say.
Or, maybe just pay your taxes and live a good life of freedom like the rest of America.
The Tea Party needs a plan for growth, we need to support something beyond the constitution, we need to support capitalism.
Build Baby Build, create jobs, national security and a cleaner environment..
The Tea Party needs to support alternative energy, through 100% tax cuts. Alternative Energy supports national security, jobs and the environment. We need to grow by supporting jobs and a new industrial revolution, we need to demand that the Republicans stop the "All the Above" drivel and support an actual plan..
Republicans have no plan, "All the Above" is just meaningless Drivil…..The Tea Party needs a plan, Build Baby Build
http://teaparty.freedomworks.org/profiles/blog/li...
you got to see Huet lift the cup over HIS head too- so there's that…
what freedom do you speak of, i see the repression that comes out of washington everyday, new laws, new regulations, new restrictions on personal freedom! Free you aren't free you are a slave wage earner for the federal government and that is the way they treat you, as a slave.
Why should I pay for that unwed mothers baby, because he might grow up to be a criminal.
Why do you get to steal over 60% of what I make? (45%income, 7% on everything you buy….)
Why do I have to send my children to a certain school?
Why can't I send her to private school and get my school tax money back?
Why do I have to wear a helmet, it won't make me a better drive, or save anyone else's life?(See seat belts)
Why do you pass gun laws if only LAW ABIDING CITIZENS obey them, who does the law really hurt?
How many laws and taxes are enough? ( if I listed the taxes you pay I would run out of words on here)
Nope just take the sandpaper lube and let the federal government have its way with you, that is the way you like it HUH?
At this point the TP is mired in negativism, although our intentions are honorable, just saying no is not a plan and that is pretty much the only choice we have.
We could grow by supporting jobs and by having a plan for creating jobs. Replace cap and tax with Build Baby Build, 100% tax cuts for all, meaning energy, infrastructure, retrofits, labor ect.) alternative energy.
I have a question. And please excuse my ignorance on your group, but lets say you actually achieve your goals of coming into power, taking a majority in the congress, and even elect a president. What now? I mean to say, the Government may skirt the line, but they do actually bide by the constitution. I assume you wouldn't want to alter the constitution in any way, so what exactly is going to change?
I hear a lot of talk about ending spending. But what spending do you stop? I for one have grown pretty acustomed to having a police department and paved roads to take me to work everyday. Which reminds me, those are social programs, do you end them? If so, do you have private businesses take over? If so, who holds them accountable? What about the global politics? What do you do about situations like Iraq and Afganistan? Or Iran and Isreal?
I have more questions, but lets start there. I mean no disrespect, and expect the same.
Full disclosure… Most of my beliefs fall flately Liberal. So… Taking that into account with your honest answers would be appreciated.
Thanks.
I want to see his face as the door slams shut on his prison cell. He's made a shady land deal for legislative favors and he needs to be investigated at least, imprisoned at best.
Alway's the comedian dcase…………..
As has been said many times, "No matter how often Democrats are elected, no matter how long they hold power, no matter how long there is a 'War on Poverty', the poor never become less poor."
Democrats NEED to keep them down so they have TOOLS. The people are just that- a means to an end. The "end" of course, is POWER.
It is important that the minorities never figure this out. This is also why it is important that the only "legitimate black" (as defined by Leftists) is either RICH or POOR- not "middle-class". Rev. Wright says to his sheep "reject middle-classness". Why? Because middle-class people are typically content with their lot and don't want to be disturbed. This does not serve the Left.
Really, the more one knows about the Left, the more one comes to realize how evil it is. There is a reason the left side is called SINISTER.
I would take some advice from dcase and others- maybe change your rhetoric a bit. Mention "kill the TEA party" and you will not win friends & supporters. Take a cooperative tack and you will get better results. dcase is right- we have to work together and not trip each other up.
it's all good- even if we do have a 5 million dollar goalie at Rockford next year. Dale Tallon is forgiven. Stanley Cup!!!
Sometimes the truth is unbelievable…Sometimes it's incredibly sad…In this case it's both.
That not what it says… it says "Kill the Tea Party Rise Up PATRIOT PARTY"
The opinion of some is "don't stoop to their level, we are above that" yea really! While those are saving face and looking good by not stooping to that level your opposition IS stooping to that level and going deeper! So you save face and look great while the other side just handed you your ass, you still got nothing and they are still calling the shots! What is this complacency attitude?! Fire back people! Look back in history our Founding Fathers didnt sit idly by having their asses handed to them the ROSE UP! So many point out the Founding Fathers and our history yet ignore the fact THEY TOO CROSSED THE LINE and did what is necessary. As always "we" can do this civil within the rule of law while giving the other side a "lethal dose" of their own medicine.
Fact is the current tactics have not worked 3/21/10 vindicates me on that position. Keep giving me thumbs down and negative points but the facts are facts and what is being done right now is insane nothing has changed. Go read the headlines and tell me otherwise, b/c the headlines I read say we are screwed!
Very much like it. Washington could be approached by anyone with an idea, not just officers. And when a portly young bookseller by the name of Henry Knox came forward with the outrageous idea to bring cannons over from Ft Ticonderoga, Washington didn't dismiss it as many of those in DC would today. He allowed the young man to implement his idea. Knox ingeniously towed several cannons over 300 miles, over rivers, ice, snow, up and down mountains, all the way to Dorchester Heights. The Seige of Boston was soon ended.
I wonder what ingenious tactic a TEA partier will come up with next.
Two month ago, I discussed about a local Tea Party rally with a friend of mine who's a middle-of-the-road voter (voted for Obama but had a change of heart because of Wall Street bailout and Obamacare). She said she won't support Tea Party because of John Birch Society funding and backing the movement. I informed her that the Tea Party is not all about JBS and that TP is all about veering America away from Obama-Democratic progressive plans of turning America into Europe. She stated she would support TP if JBS is not behind it. She stressed not voting a TP candidate as long as JBS is behind it.
Now do you have any middle-of-the-road voter-friends who gladly support JBS once they find out Tea Party's ideological roots? I know several middle-of-the-road voters and they're not stupid, but unfortunately misinformed or given false narrative of TP. I agree that the MSM would attack TP without facts but we have ban-happy, egomaniac, "clever" bloggers (who fixates on green footballs) providing plenty of ammunition to MSM on the Net.
So smooth… so reasonable. Then what would you suggest, O Great One?
Your condescension is nauseating, concern troll.
Here's a news flash for you, skippy: This has been the tone of American politics for the vast majority of the nation's history. Do you suppose Aaron Burr and Alexander Hamilton were as "even-toned" and "reasonable" as you would have liked? I rather doubt Hamilton thought so as he lay dying from the dueling bullet that killed him! How about those critics who called Abraham Lincoln an "ape" and a "gorilla" before and during his presidency? Or the political opponents who called FDR "that socialistic sonofabitch in the White House?" Fact is, the two major parties — whatever their labels — have been flinging poo at each other almost non-stop since the 1790s. It's been a lot worse. No one cares whether today's shrillness is an affront to your tender sense of propriety, so it ain't about to stop any time soon. If you don't like it, try Canada or Europe, places where the only thing they raise at each other is their pinkie fingers.
Your post is the first time I ever heard that the Birchers were involved….That is FALSE…The
teaparties are a lot of people that decided they had enough of the politicians taking us down the wrong path fiscally, and in a lot of cases ideology differences played a part, Your friend got the wrong information!
I would guess her info came from a leftist blog, or from MSNBC, CNN, or the MSM…..All of these entities want to destroy the teaparty movement, and they put out false information!
Most people I know just were curious and went to a teaparty and agreed with what was being said……They didn't get any money or invitations to go…

Spot on.
Hey troll,
Kidding. I gave you a thumbs up for your honest inquisitiveness and for condnduct unbecoming the typical trolls we get here. Yay for you!!
I just read your other posts on ID and I don't get the sense you are actually seeking understanding, despite your respectful post. You've definitely got your mind made up when it comes to how the world works and the people who post here.
Perhaps there is another conservative here that is willing to take your bait.
Personally, I've seen too much skullduggery from the folks on the lower left to care to bite.
"Same thing here. The Tea Party started off wanting to change politics, that is government. And it still is trying that to a huge degree. But when we want to change people, that is where the danger comes into play."
What the hell are you talking about? Change people?
You support none of these broad generalizations, make baseless accusations, and then bad mouth Palin.
Do you understand there is no Tea Party? It is a mindset, based in the Constitution, that is all.
I think you are a troll.
The other side has NEVER "handed us our a**"; they are the ones videotaped over and over again, committing fraud, committing assault, lying, cheating, swearing and acting like thugs. WE are the ones that have the American people's support, NOT THEM. As long as we keep the high road, we keep the support.
I've seen your web page. I understand what you're about. I too could put on a purple SEIU T-shirt and stand in the median flipping motorists off or other kinds of mischief, but I know that other people have to get in the trench and do POSITIVE things. We have to get THEM out of elected offices and get US, the good guys, IN. If your tips don't address that, what good does it do?
We can cut spending all over the place. Please go google "Eric Cantor" and "You Vote" for an eyeful. Each week people vote on what programs to cut, each week Cantor brings it up for vote, each week Dems vote the proposal down. We'll keep trying.
Congress does NOT (abide) by the Consitution when it does not suit them to do so. They don't even abide by the laws they pass.
"Paved roads" are not "social programs". Do you know WHY Eisenhower had the Interstate system built??
I don't care if you're liberal. I don't even care if you're a Progressive. Just please educate yourself on REAL history, not BS Howard Zinn crap.
Why would you site a WaPo poll to say their avowed enemy, the Tea Party movement, is opposed by 50% of the population? That is bs and you should know that! What a crock! Talk to me again after the November elections.
Spot on…
Thank you for the link.
excellent repy…
well reasoned- and said.
Yeah… you got me… I'm a troll…
I like a lot of the stuff put up on the Big sites, even support much of it. But the comments on this site always go towards hyperbole (even moreso than much of the internet in general). But meh, I guess I knew this before I posted, so my fault.
You guys win.
Dude you accuse commenters on this site of hyperbole after attacking them for 'trying to change people'?
I think you're missing the point. This isn't about creating a national movement. It's about creating a local movement nationally. It's about getting people involved locally to take their own representative government back from those whose focus is on progressive growth of government and their own political careers and power. It's about restoring respect for the individual voter, rather than tyrants pushing a statist national agenda at us. It doesn't matter that we disagree on many things. We should. That's the nature of this country. That's how markets work – shaking out what produces better results, and what fails regardless of good intentions. That's what enables us to achieve real progress – unlike those who think that more government is always the answer. The Tea Party movement is market-driven politics.
I believe Bill Hennesey has a couple of screws loose or has thrown his whole transmission out!
Totally in accurate report and news story! Talk about propaganda!
