Wisc. Election ‘Watchdog’ Assumes ALL Recall Signatures Are Valid, Will Only Verify Contested Entries
by Brett HealyIn Wisconsin, where Big Labor is circulating petitions to trigger the recall of Republican Governor Scott Walker, the state agency that monitors and administers elections is known as the G.A.B.
The ‘A’ is supposed to stand for accountability. But, in reality, not so much.
Yesterday we reported that the GAB would not comb through the petitions to disqualify duplicate signatures.
Today, we find out it is much worse than that.
[Madison, Wisc…] Duplicate signatures are not the only point of contention in the ongoing recall drives in Wisconsin. The board that oversees the state’s elections admits they will not check the validity of any of the signatures or addresses contained on the recall petitions expected to be submitted in January.
For $625,699 the Wisconsin Government Accountability Board will make sure all the blanks are properly filled out on petitions to recall Governor Scott Walker, but that’s all.
Meanwhile, news reports around the state have raised the questions about ineligible individuals signing the forms. At least one liberal group is encouraging voters to sign multiple times.
The GAB will not be checking for fraud, but will rule on challenges brought forth by the subjects of the recalls, should they find evidence of fraud.
Reid Magney, GAB spokesman, cited Section 9.10(3) of the State Statutes, under which the filing officer, ”shall determine by careful examination whether the petition on its face is sufficient.”
Administrative Rules GAB 2.05 and 2.07 expand upon the definition “facial sufficiency,” including the presumption of validity of information contained on the petition and the challenger’s burden to establish any insufficiency.
“[C]hecking addresses, verifying ages, etc., is by law the responsibility of the incumbent,” Magney said. “If the incumbent files a challenge that says John Smith does not live at 123 Main Street, Onalaska, then the GAB must determine whether the challenge is correct and the name should be struck.”
Magney says the burden of proving the validity of signatures will fall on Governor Walker, not those filing the recall petitions. Read more>>
So, if the legislature grants the GAB’s request for additional $600,000, up to 50 temporary workers, aided by GAB staff, will have at least a month to make sure the forms were completely (though not necessarily legally) filled out. Governor Walker and any legislator facing recall will have a whopping ten days to verify the hundreds of thousands of signatures are valid.
That’s right. Ten days.
However, the Walker campaign could go to court to contest GAB’s finding that the petitions are sufficient or for more time or to contest the validity of the signatures.
Settle in. It’s going to be a long and bumpy ride.

These recalls have been pretty close in percent so far, so with the word out to the unions that fraud will not be monitored, its pretty easy to imagine that the matter will be settled in court.
I think we should challenge ALL of the signatures. Make the court decide which ones are valid!!! When they fail, the recall will be meaningless.
Someone will have to write a law that is reasonable, that both sides agree on. NO MORE SHENANIGANS!!! We need to have an ID to vote, two or three ID's for Union members and ACORN employees/"volunteers"and DEAD people!!!

It's going to take a long time to clear the smell.
It is very simple to get 100 volunteers to key in the entries and then a double sort on name and then on address. Those would be the most appropriate to challenge. I know I can type in a heck of a lot in just a few days. Walkers Team needs to ramp up a few dozen or so volunteers.
I, for one, would be glad to volunteer my time to go through some of the petitions to find fraudulent signatures for Gov. Walker. In fact I think I'm going to make just such an offer to the governor. After all, what stops him from having an unlimited number of volunteers step up and if he had enough help why couldn't they put every signature to the test in just a matter of a few days? For that matter, what stops anyone from using a computer program to compare signatures? Then if a discrepancy is found and verified by a person or official it can be put forth to the G.A.B. for consideration. I don't believe it's set in stone HOW the fraudulent signatures are found, only how they are submitted to be stricken. Gov. Walker did his part. It's time for the People of this country to step up and have his back. I'll do anything I can to stick it to the Marxist traitors in the unions!!

politicians.

No wonder the States are taking it away. Now the State of Wisconsin is free
to put the insurance contract out for bids and, lo and behold, they have
saved so much money it has turned deficits into surplus amounts. As a
result, none of the teachers had to be laid off, everyone got a raise, etc.,
etc., and the taxpayers of Wisconsin don't have to pay more taxes to fund
the union's political ambitions.****
If you weren't aware of the reasons Gov. Walker was fighting to take away
collective bargaining, it gives you an idea of the problem the Republican
Party has. Outside of one or two, none of them know how to speak up and
explain properly what the problem was.. We could sure use a Ronald Reagan
now, someone who could explain things for people to understand, since we
know that people don't like to read anymore.

500,000 signatures at 25/page is 20,000 pages divided by 50 works out to 50 pages per day per person. Any half-decent typist should be able to enter all of that info into a database in 2 days, leaving "at least" 28 days for cross reference and verification. $600,000 divided by 50 "workers" equals $12k EACH! Where do I get "temporary" work like that?

I live in Illinois but went up to my parents place in Wisconsin on Thanksgiving. My cousin a first year teacher was there and she broke out the recall Walker petition at the end of the night. She was complaining about the money taken out for health care. Really welcome to the real world and you took the job knowing that you that this was in effect before you even took the job. Anyway her husband wouldn't even sign the thing but 3 people did. This is an outrage that are not going to protect the process and verify the names and addresses of the people who signed the petition. I think you need to do this in order to protect democracy and keep it free from corruption.

1. You must have a heartbeat.
2. You must be able to read, write, and converse in English.
3. You must have paid federal taxes for at least the last 5 years.
4. You must be able to pass a 10 question high school level American government test.
5. If you are found violating the laws, falsifying documents, or in any way disrupting the democratic process, you will be beaten to death with a boat paddle.
5 simple rules, and I bet the country will be a better place within 5 years.

It isn't playing because the majority of Wisconsinites don't get the truth. I've lived in WI for 20 years. I went to UW-Madison. We don't hear the truth because it is drowned out by liberal noise. They distract from reality and from fact. The best card in their deck is drowning out reality. Make emotional claims. Reform our state's Medicaid entitlements and get ads run that the GOP wants to kill sick children. Try to stop the rampant abuse of our food stamp program and newspapers run articles saying that Republicans are disenfranchising the people who need help the most. I'm sorry but the people who need help aren't the ones getting 4 replacement Quest cards (WI food stamp cards) per month. Why do democrats continue to support the people who abuse the system? They only hurt the people that actually use the benefits, which the 53% pays for, to better their economic standing.

When Gov. Walker was calling for an end to collective bargaining, unions called it a blatant and brutal attack on middle class workers. Very few people were aware of the consequences Walker's actions would have on the coffers of local, county and state agencies. They were set to save millions of dollars while sacrificing nothing in the health care provided to their workers.
The unions will never favor saving money, only spending it!
I'm very glad that the South doesn't have this problem anymore. I hope the North can do the same. There's nothing worse than having Unions taking over everything.

Our only Big newspaper in Milwaukee, I consider to be Socialist, a huge left-wing spin. Madison, WI is Socialist, whether the studnets realize it or not!
A Union newspaper, the "The Labor Press" said that Milwaukee is a model Socialist City!

The State Union Representative, W.E.A. owned the Health Insurance Provider, W.E.A. Trust which was the Provider for the State Employees and Teachers, ok.
They over-charged for their plan by about $500 per month, compared to free market plans such as Blue Cross/Blue Shield.. Gov Walker has stopped that.
The teachers in their local districts can switch to another plan, which is a very much "Cadillac" Plan and save their locality $500 Per Month for each teacher. This helps their budgets immensely…and therefore, don't have to raise our taxes for their school costs.
WI was the "breeding grounds" for Socialism, due to the mass immigration of Germans in the mid and late 1800's…They were being taught and "programmed" Socialist stuff back in Germany and brought those ideas here.
In the 60's the City of Milw. had a Socialist Mayor, Frank Zeidler.
Sounds like the integrity of the GAB went out with Hussein's promise for Transparency. A soon as we beat this Recall effort into submission, I recommend we overhaul the GAB in Wisconsin!
Many retired teachers get elected to the local school boards. As a result, negotiations are always favored to the employees.
The larger idea is this. The Teachers, and State Employees have no real competition in their work marketplace, as we experience in our own industries. Therefore, they are a monopoly and can not be negotiated with.
I belong to the Electrician's Union, ok. And we have much competition between workers, contractors, etc. But that's not the situation for govt employees. As mentioned, the teachers and State Employees have no competition at all, THEREFORE, They are a Monopoly!

Read this morning that Walker testified unions spent 40 million on WI Senate recalls, while he spent 13mm on his gubernatorial bid.

This is such a non-story. The implication here is that the signature lists are not going to verified which is total nonsense. Recalling a public official in Wisconsin is a process and the first step is you have 60 days to submit the signatures and that is when the verification process begins. All they are doing now is ensuring the paperwork is completed correctly. Petitioners will bend over backwards to make sure the recall is done by the letter of the law, and the governor will do everything he can within the law to delay the process. It's recall 101 and it's going to be fun to watch.

Don't be so gullible. The verification process will begin at the end of 60 days. By then they expect to have over a million signatures.
While we have no way of knowing the final results of the recall, there is one thing we know for certain… Your cousin's husband is not getting laid any time soon.
This is Wisconsin law that is being followed, not some commie plot. Walker overstepped his mandate and now the voters of Wisconsin are going to be heard at the polls. It's the American way.
The governor must follow the state law just as the petitioners must do. They are anticipating he will attempt to delay the process and are ready to challenge his actions in court. Win or lose, the gov will be compelled to obey the law.
There is no fraud here. When all the signatures are collected there will be no doubt in anyone's mind that the minimum number required by law has been met. It looks like they will have twice as many as they need.
The verification process begins in January, as prescribed by state law.
Either post some proof of this or stfu.
What you need is a governor who campaigns honestly and doesn't impose his political agenda on unsuspecting voters. They thought they were voting for jobs and all they got is an attack on collective bargaining.

He's only given you a tiny portion of the informati8on about how the Wisconsin law works. Beginning in January when the 60 day limit is reached every signature will be entered into a database and compared to the voter registration list.

This article is just an early attempt to lay the "election fraud" groundwork to try and explain this loss. But the entire nation is watching and the scrutiny is going to be intense. The results are not even going to be close so the fraud chestnut will not work well for you.
