Problems Surrounding Duplicate Signatures Loom Over Big Labor’s Attempted Recall of Wisc. Gov. Walker

As the unions strike back against the governor who forced them to ask permission to collect dues from public employees, controversy over the ongoing recall process is emerging. One liberal organization is saying people have a right to sign more than one recall petition. The state regulators admit it’s true, they have that right and although only one signature per eligible voter is supposed to be counted as vaild, their temporary workers won’t be accountable for finding duplicates.

This MacIver News’ report provides the details.
The state board overseeing the potential recall election of Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker tells the MacIver News Service that they will rely upon temporary workers to scrutinize recall petitions and those individuals will not be expected to catch any duplicate signatures submitted by recall organizers.
This revelation comes as one statewide liberal group is actively promoting the collection of duplicate signatures, paving the way for a lengthy process wherein Walker supporters will challenge the validity of the recall petitions.
One Wisconsin Now, a liberal non-profit, posted on its website “you can circulate or sign a recall petition even if you have already signed another recall petition.”
This advice, however, will complicate the signature challenge process and runs counter to the advice of nonpartisan state election regulators.
“While it is not illegal to sign more than once, we do not suggest people sign a second time unless they have good reason to believe the first petition they signed was somehow fraudulent,” Reid Magney, GAB Spokesman.
One Wisconsin Now follows their advice with this disclaimer: “[N]ote, however, that only one signature per person will be counted,”
That is not necessarily true.
Magney told MNS said that the pro-union groups obtaining recall signatures will be expected to self-police the collection of duplicate signatures.
However, neither the state Democratic Party nor the pro-labor organizations steering the recall drive have disclosed any process by which they will identify and discard the duplicate signatures they obtain.
Recall organizers announced Monday that they have collected 300,000 of the 540,000 signatures necessary to trigger a recall election of Walker. Until those signatures are actually submitted to the GAB, however, there is no way to verify that claim or determine whether that figure includes duplicate signatures. Even then, it will be up to outside groups like the Walker campaign or the state Republican Party to sort through the signatures to find any invalid and/or duplicate signatures.
Until the signatures are submitted and independently checked, there is no way to know how many people are heeding One Wisconsin Now’s advice.

And this is news??? I always wonder how they live with themselves, lying, cheating, thugs.
If truth-in-advertising laws applied to unions, that sign would read, "It's about socialism."
All I can say is that we just have to sit back and pray that Walker wins this. I don't trust the judges either.
Not only do they need to catch and eliminate duplicate signatures, they will need to identify and remove signatures from the following groups;
- dead people
- non-registered voters
- people who don't live in Wisconsin
- people who are currently incarcerated
- people who are under the legal voting age
- Canadians
- illegal immigrants
- people that don't actually exist
I'm sure about half of the signatures already collected will be eliminated by removing the above, one method of cleansing the petitions would be to take them to the cemetery and start crossing off the names on the petitions from the headstones.
These union thugs are liars, cheats and immature babies who can't take no for an answer. Can the union folk spell integrity or does that word have too many letters in it?

There is no way in the real world that such an unqualified occupant of the White House can win reelection in an honest contest. The DNC is banking on voter fraud, via the absentee ballot and inadequate voter ID process to keep this prize in the White House.
Money talks, and we have been witnessing the most egregious act of larceny ever committed upon our citizenry by a corrupt power structure.
In Iraq, voters dip their thumbs in ink so they can't vote twice. If we asked for this here "little Debbi" and "Princess Nancy" will scream that we are violating voters civil rights–what they mean is their civil right to commit voter fraud.

Hey, why not? It's only taxpayer money that goes into this nonsense. Why should they care? Besides, it's the taxpayers that defied the union goons in the elections and recalls. With a President and the a rogue NLRB in their back pocket, they don't have much holding them back. I'm sure the DoJ will be in no hurry to pursue voter fraud cases against them.
And lets face it, the unions have completely obliterated any possibility of winning on merit. Intimidation and cheating is all they have left. Especially now that they see the public is turning on them.

My greater concern is who can be trusted up there to diligently followup on the fraud that surely exists in this efort.

Let's see – they need 500,000 signatures by mid January…in a state that now has a balanced budget thanks to Governor Walker's efforts…and you say that there might be fraud?? No way! Not where democrats are involved!
It doesn't officially kick in until the November 2012 elections, I believe, but they were already checking IDs during the last round of recall elections. This, of course, lead to some dems getting a little huffy and puffy at the polls.

You know what I find ironic here. Wasn't governor Walker and his reforms so unpopular that it should've been a piece of cake to get lets say a million people to sign let alone 800,000 to play it safe. Maybe this is a sign that governor Walker isn't as unpopular as they think.

Piece of advice for the Walker campaign committee and I assume somebody in the campaign reads stuff like this. If you study the petitions and find out that there is a number of fraudlent signatures to throw it file a lawsuit against these organizations to recover your costs. I believe you can get triple damages. That might drain away a pretty penny from these groups against you.

By the way, if you actually think the Dem Party of Wisconsin would risk turning in thousands of duplicate signatures and thus fall short of the number needed to trigger a recall election, you are DREAMING.
What is this voter fraud bust number 4289 for unions. Yet they still continue to thrive. Not for much longer I hope. Will we have a candidate that talks about ending public unions at least? Not in this bunch my guess.

WASHINGTON, DC – As the list of Obama Administration political paybacks to Big Labor grows, the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) — ruled by President Obama's appointees — recently implemented a new rule designed to push more workers into forced unionism.
Far exceeding its statutory authority, the NLRB is now forcing its way into as many as six million private-sector workplaces. The new rule requires job providers to post biased notices that effectively serve as a roadmap to unionization, even if workers don't want to labor under union-boss control, and even if the company has never been accused of an "unfair labor practice."

I agree and that's why I keep saying, we have to get an overwhelming majority to even come close to a win.
Aren't there really smart people at say Apple, Microsoft or some small independent statistical data software firm that these people can have scan in the petitions and create filters that will/would compare duplicate data and combine it with others filters like the dead, incarcerated, residential, DMV, legal immigrant status……
We have all this technology to prevent fraud yet conveniently don't use it…. There is nothing more important than the protection of our legal right to a protected venue to vote and know without a doubt there was no fraud committed in the process.
If these temporary workers are hired to do a job……. well…… make them do the dang job right!
When will the good people of Wisconsin have enough of this left wing hysteria? The expense to the state for all these recalls and special elections has to be significant, and seem to be endless. The people spoke in November of 2010 and as usual the left is going to lie and cheat until they thwart a legitimate election. What is this recall, plan Q??
At this point it seems like, even with potential voter fraud at play, they’ll get enough votes to trigger the recall election. I think the larger issue at hand here is that the rules for a recall in Wisconsin are incredibly too lax. Consider if all that was needed to trigger Presidential recalls was 25% of the voting populace. Pretty much every recent president would face a recall.
The real damage is that it essentially this kind of reaction will discourage to politicians to ever try to break from the norm when creating legislation and that will lead to ineffective government.
