A Year of Hyper-Racialism

One year into his term and Chris Matthews has already declared, “Mission Accomplished!” He forgot Obama was black, you see. America is now post-racial! Sadly, the facts tell a very different story. Over the last year, we have witnessed a proliferation of indiscriminate accusations of racism, or a period of what I like to refer to as hyper-racialism.
Paul Krugman insured that 2009 got off to a fast start when it came to race-mongering, writing on January 1st that the GOP is the “party of racial backlash.” It turns out, according to the Nobel Prize bearing economist, that skeptics of big government aren’t concerned about upholding the constitution or protecting liberties. Oh, no. Our real motivation for opposing liberalism is that it means giving money to “Those People.” Wink, wink.
Paul Krugman must have been on to something, because as we saw throughout the rest of the year, pretty much everything said by the right turned out to be code for racism.
MSNBC’s Carlos Watson wondered whether “socialist is becoming a code word.” CNN questioned whether there were “racial overtones” at the Tea Parties, while David Shuster dubbed them an “intolerance festival.” Janeane Garofalo out and out pronounced all Tea Party attendees as racist.
Cynthia Tucker used her telepathic powers to venture into the minds of town hall protesters, where she found that 45-65% are racists. Congressman John Dingell was reminded of the Ku Klux Klan when he saw the town hall protests, while ABC considered the upset voters as equivalent to “hate groups.” Chris Matthews, who apparently at the time had not yet forgotten that Obama is black, declared that the protesters were really just all ornery “because we have a black president.”
Chris Matthews was also determined to undercover the racial motivations of Rep. Joe Wilson’s challenge to Obama’s truthfulness, while Maureen Down imagined an spoken “boy” affixed to his outburst, which was more than enough to convict him of racial intolerance. Former President Jimmy Carter even took time away from his busy schedule of attacking the evil zionists and appeasing terrorists to condemn Wilson as a racist.
Even battles over the stimulus were not above racial overtones. House Majority Whip James Clyburn was particularly insulted by the hesitation of four GOP governors to accept federal stimulus funds because “these four states are in the heart of the black belt.” Clyburn proved to be extra-sensitive on the issue of the stimulus when he tried to make Mark Sanford’s comparison of Barack Obama’s spending to the economic policies of Zimbabwe, which has set a record for devaluing currency, into a racially motivated statement.
On and on it goes.
Time after time, the President’s ideological brethren trotted out the race card, attempting to stick it to his opponents like it was the queen of spades in a game of hearts. And while his followers did most of the heavy lifting, Obama himself proved not to be above the racial fray with his infamous “acted stupidly” comment.
No matter which way we turned, race was perpetually in the faces of Obama’s critics. Not because we brought it up, but because the party of identity politics cannot let it go. While Barack Obama can promise to move us into a post-racial era, only when he and his colleagues abandon such games, and drop the race card as a political tool, will it ever be possible. For no matter how hard we try to forget that Obama is black, Chris Matthews and his hyper-racial ilk keep reminding us.

It's time someone called a spade a spade.
I don't know yet if Obama is too Black to fail, but I'm sure if he does, they'll blame it on the white guy.

They use the racism charge to shut up the opposition. Thankfully, this seems to be running out of steam.
Isn't it amazing that liberals are the ones to have laws concerning race and conservatives want to get rid of color barriers? So much for the whole content of character dream.
I personally dislike Obama not because of his race but because of his policies. I dislke Pelosi for much the same reasons but won't be called racist for yelling at Pelosi.
Obama is driving this train of the US economy off the tracks. The race baiters miss the issue and blame everything on race. There are race problems and Obama is fueling the fire with Gasoline. He has officially replaced Carter as the worst president ever!
Barack Obama promised many things to many people. Since I voted for Sarah Palin, I never believed he could deliver any of them. I am beyond tired of people playing the race card. If you don't like living in the United States, then get out.

The left has a deeply vested interest in keeping race relations strained. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. So long as they can keep minority communities impoverished, relying on government cheese, and convinced that wicked white fat GOP is the reason, they will have secured the minority vote for generations to come.

Someone explain to me why President Obama, DNC, etc now seem to want to be "populists" all of sudden. Attack Wall Street, bankers, corporations, etc and then all of us who attended Town Halls, Tea Parties, 9/12 in Washington, etc will then begin to think this administration and the democrats are working for us? I don't think so. Since Nancy Pelosi never cleaned up the swamp, it is time for us to drain it and add disinfectant so that we kill all the vermin once and for all. Just watch how the democrats try to show us just how much they have in common with the American public in the upcoming months to November 2010.

There is a part of me that can't help but feel sorry for Battered Barry our Kenyan Keynesian. He certainly acts like one who is psycologically battered and suffers from abuse and Post Traumatic Stress.

There was quite the story surrounding her, prior to meeting Barry's Daddy, and even while she was with him. Apparently the muslim broutha's passed her around like a cheap jug of Ripple. I don't know why he gets labelled as "black" when he has a white mother and black father. Tiger Woods is also "black", despite the entire mix of racial types available being present in him.
This sort of thing used to be frowned upon- 1/64 of "Negro blood" made a person "Negro" in the old days, and it was seen as unfair. Now that "blackness" is utilitarian, it's a different story.

The attacks of racial inpropriety by the left has done more to reverse the gains that have been made by the black community than anything before or since. They want it that way. It is the only way to justify the socialistic policies that this administration continues to push at the expense of all citizens of this country regardless of nationality or race. I hope that our black friends understand this and I think they do. I hope that all understand that our constitution and our liberties are under attack by the far left and the far right.

Most people who have not been to ATL have the wrong idea about it.

Being called a racist used to be an embarrassment and a taunt capable of shutting down an argument. But it's been so over-used that it is quickly becoming a joke.

Everytime someone on the left calls me a racist, in an effort to stifle me, to shut down the argument, I smile. I use that as a guage to let me know how close I am to being right. Cowboy, I answered your post about Obama and Woods twice and neither time were they allowed to be posted. I don't know why. Neither reply contained a single curse word, vulgarity, obscenity, insult, or even the N word. What I talked about were facts, devoid of anything racist, though I did out the names of a few "secret" clubs, which few people knew/know about, like "Jack and Jill".

I noticed as a kid in high school, where the demographic was 85% black, 10% white and 5% other and since they put me into that 5%, that the biggest racists were usually the one's shouting !racism! at every turn. (the majority) A similar phenomenon I encountered during a year in the deep woods of the deep south involved the term 'redneck'. A friend once asked me, on the way to the deer stand, "do you think I'm a redneck"? (seemed kind of sensitive about it) My reply was "as far as I can tell, the only rednecks I've seen are the one's always throwing the word around". (chuchles* true in this instance)
What I'm saying is the PC disease never affected me and I always wished others could forgive, forget and be truly free. That's what it takes to have a society where we take each individual on the 'content of their character'. The left and their control of information and entertainment industries have preached the gospel of envy and held society captive. No more!

I'll start off listing one book and a couple of facts. If that is allowed I'll try to do a few more.
ARISTOCRATS OF COLOR; THE BLACK ELITE, 1880 -1920, by Willard B. Gatewood.
In this book, there are many prominent blacks named and brief bios given, who graduated from Princeton, Harvard, Yale, Oberlin ( women ! ), Dartmouth, West Point, and of course, Howard………………all without AFFIRMATIVE ACTION and earned the very good grades and diplomas ( many had Masters and PHD/other Doctoral degrees ) in the 1880s ( and earlier ! ) through the 1920s, which is the only time period this book covers.
In 1939, E. Franklin Fraizer published what is now called "a classic work" on the very topic ( which apparently I am forbidden to type, if I want my reply posted ) you brought up. John G, Menke also wrote extensively, on that very topic, somewhat earlier and around the same time as Fraizer.
There were many books, articles, and studies done, which were available to all, so this topic was NOT as "hidden" as you imagined it to be.
OTOH, just as many societies and clubs which elite whites belonged/belong to were only really known by them, that was and mostly still is true of the black elites.
OT………………….The funny thing is, that card carrying Commies also had their own "special" summer camps for children and social clubs, which I only found out about by reading David Horowitz's RADICAL SON.

Black people acknowledge it. White people are the ones who don't. Mainly because it does not effect them and secondarily because it would be viewed as racist – you know pointing out the obvious. Believe me, plenty of black people look at lighter colored black people with envy. It is sad. Society sez lighter black is better. Maybe one day that will change and deeper black will be favored. It is just like thinner is preferred over fat. Tall over short.
