You forgot Obama didn't name them Czars, fox news calls them Czars because they can't remember the actual official title. Guess what? GWB had Czars too, so grow up and read a book.

Please, lets all just forget fundamental constitutional rules. Like don't make laws regarding religion, any religion. Mandatory prayer is better in a private or parochial school, lets keep it there.

real American History like that the Earth is only 7000 years old (an easily disproven statement), that all evolution, not just macro, is BS (when that has already been overturned as well), or how Jesus founded this country and most of the world. The only way Texas has got a hope in hell at the top school is if they give the kids actual facts, not religious conjecture. But then you couldn't indoctrinate more Christians, could you? You give our religion a terrible name. Oh and America isn't original at all, the Founding Fathers built off the framework of the Romans and Greeks. Sorry to burst anyone's bubble.

The only flaw in your article is the statement that Texas's schools are good. After the recent changes to the Texas curriculum, the state is the laughing stock of the globe. A group of ultra-conservative Christian nut-jobs hijacked the board of education using millions of dollars of out of state campaign money to win elections that typically don't even have more then one TV commercial per candidate. After taking over they have proceeded to send Texas's state curriculum into the stone age. Biblical seven day creation taught as fact in physics class? You bet your ass. The word evolution is outright banned. They have butchered the English curriculum to make sure no "offensive" books are present. Across the entire curriculum, they have rewritten most everything. Whenever a recommendation from experts in any field or in any school tried to say something, they were outright ignored. The majority of the planning didn't even occur in public, it happened in closed door sessions between the rouge four person majority. There is no way Texas's education system could get any worst, third world countries are already laughing at it. Al Qaeda training camps give you a better education then Texas's jokes of public bible school.

It was a calculated plot to force Catholic superstition into our education system and effectively sabotage the schools of the entire nation. Texas is the primary source for textbook printing for the entire country. The curriculum set by the Texas board of education is the standard that these publishing companies use to build their textbooks. A small group of ultra-conservative Christians, have hijacked the education system of the entire country and are using it as their own private soap box to spread religious propaganda. I get the feeling most people on this website will cheer them on though, so I'll be on my way.
