Senator Harry Reid’s Vapor Bill
by Brian DarlingAll 40 Republican Senators signed a letter yesterday demanding to see the health care bill Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s (D-Nev.) sent to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO). Reid claimed he submitted the legislation for a CBO score on Monday. The letter from the Republican Caucus states that “our national debt stands at nearly $12 trillion, with a deficit of $1.4 trillion. The health care bill will likely be more than 1,000 pages long and is the single most important legislation we will consider and debate this year in Congress.” It is six days after Senator Reid said he sent the bill to the CBO. Where is the bill? Is this another Vapor Bill? Why are the American people prevented from reading the bill?
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) released an almost 2,000 pages of Obamacare, yet Reid refuses to release the Senate version of Obamacare. The Senators wrote that “with an issue this large and complex, we need full transparency at every stage in the legislative process. President Obama was elected, in part, on his promise to bring greater transparency to the workings of the federal government. The American people and every member of Congress should be allowed to read the bill that was sent to CBO.” The American people have a constitutional right to participate in this process and they can’t fully participate if they are not allowed to know the details of the bill.
The Senators demanded “that you immediately make all materials sent to CBO publicly available on the internet.” The theory on the Hill is that Reid has submitted many versions of Obamacare to CBO so that he can get the legislation that scores as the least expensive to the taxpayer. The American people and all 100 Senators should be allowed to read the bill now.

That article brings up an excellent point. If there is no Bill, then there is nothing to be voted on. Yet if a vote is cast, on a non existent Bill, is it a valid vote, for a non valid Bill?
It brings the old adage to mind: "If a tree falls in the forest, and nobody hears it, does it make a sound?"
Furthermore, it opens up andothe very valid and interesting point? If Harry Reid has a vote cast for a non existent Bill, he is guilty of perpetrating a fraud? Ordinarily, a "good" trial lawyer would look into that aspect, but in this case, the lawyers have conspired and colluded with the CON-gress. As the band goes marching on………
My Dad had a word for people like Harry Reid. He called them Shysters! The "Music Man" is alive and well, and pretending to be the leader of the Senate.
Please Nevada! Do us all a favor and take this &$^%*^%$^& idiot back! The rest of the country would be so very grateful!

If my math is right , this new "healthcare" "bill" costs a little more than 2 million dollars per word. Sound to me that Nasty Piglosi and Disgusting Harry Greed want us to get "healthcare " courtesy of DR JACK KEVORKIAN.

As the political pork/payoffs is uncovered in the House version, Reid probably feels pretty good about not having his version under public scrutiny.
I don't mind beating this horse with the rest of you: vote on Tuesday. There is no meaningless issue anymore.
I pray Thanksgiving and Christmas come soon, and these bloated people on the Hill fill their tummies and sleep. And then I'm going to pray for a big snowstorm. And then ice. I don't know why everyone is suddenly upset with Harry. He is still the same, old Harry. From his first day in the Senate until now he has always been the same, he will never change. What has changed is Harry is in the spotlight with this health care mess and he has never looked good in the spotlight. He looks best in the dark or behind closed doors where no one can see the real Harry.

What is going on here?? This bill is the business of all of the people of the United States of America. The power that Mr. Reid has is from We the People. To all of our elected leaders, you are where you are only by virtue of our authority. This is a democracy. All of you are answerable to us. We demand to review the proposed laws you want us to be subjected to. We will be heard. This is not a debate, and even with or without due respect, this is our demand, simply because it is our right.
If this is truly a democracy, We the People are entitled to the right of review. Why, Mr. Reid, did you not present this bill first to the American People?
I've noticed as this THREAT of GOVERNMENT CONTROLLED health directive continues to be forced into law, regardless of the peoples wishes, more and more people are approaching me with distraught feelings about the CZAR type intrusion into their lives!!!! The kitchen sink is needed to pay the players. Agendas served, favors repaid, human dignity sacrificed on the pyre of progressive government. Prepare for the necessity of repealing a law that forces believers to pay for abortions and euthanasia. This will take courage beyond what has been politically necessary in recent memory. This bill affects ALL Americans in a major way, forever. Government controlled or not. It makes no difference. It means higher taxes, drastically higher premiums and less health care. This is up close and personal, and it's all being done behind closed doors.
I hate these people.

Agree wholeheartedly. It gets more scarey every day. I hated Slick Willie, but am sorry to say that I'd "almost" be happy to see him back. When this band of idiots get done, we will have to work hard just to attain 3rd world status. It's sickening.

Vapor bills are just another way that the politcal class oppress us the average citizen who actually are their bosses! Wake up america! Any American should be able to read the bills congress wants to pass and understand them and be able to hold a conversation about the bill before it is voted on.
