Arizona House Speaker to ‘Put Some Light on Fast and Furious’
by AWR HawkinsAs I wrote in a post for Big Government this past Sunday, January 22, the Arizona’s legislature has decided once more to do the job the feds won’t do, and has launched its own investigation into Fast and Furious. And during an appearance on FOX NEWS this morning, Arizona House Speaker Andy Tobin explained why they’ve taken this step. He said that constituents were flooding their offices with questions about the gun-running operation, and he said one recurring question was, “You’re not waiting for the feds [to do something] are you?” He then said the answer to that question was “No.”
Said Tobin:
This is an incident that occurred on Arizona soil, with Arizona business owners, [where we lost] an Arizona agent (Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry), and quite frankly we felt it needed a lot more attention. We felt our citizens needed a place to go to share their stories. Maybe there’s more there. This was a failed program right from the start and I think the idea is to put more light on it.
Tobin explained that as he’s watched this story unfold, and learned about the tactics used in Fast and Furious, it just hasn’t made sense: “I’m from the family of a law enforcement officer and I don’t think that the process by which they were going was the direction in which we fight back on border security and drug infiltration.”
He went on to explain that the Arizona House has been disappointed in the way Eric Holder has handled things up till now, and added:
It doesn’t appear he had a grasp on it right from the beginning when the inquiries started coming in. And forgive me for being concerned when I hear that the federal government’s here and they’re here to help. [We’re] the state that had to pass S.B. 1070 so we could help secure our borders, and the fed sued us…we’ve lost millions of acres of forest land [to fires] because the feds won’t let us clean them, we’ve got a Navajo power plant that the EPA may close…I meant the list goes on and on.
Without ambiguity Tobin added:
The public deserves some answers and we can’t wait for the fed to give us some of those answers. So let’s put some light on it, let’s have some transparency in government. Let’s go ahead and bring some Arizona citizens in to testify and see where this leads us.
I’m all for what Tobin and the rest of his colleagues in the Arizona legislature are doing. It’s time to put some heat on the feds and see if Holder changes his story (again).

The state capitol was all abuzz on Monday so decided to drive down to see for myself. One rally was over a state Rep introducing a bill to REPEAL our beloved 1070. But proponents of the repeal measure were scarce, considering far more freedom fighters and liberty lovers were in attendance. Hooray for our side.
Tobin's news conference was well attended and I'm very glad to see Arizona coming at Fast and Furious from another direction. The trick in this state is going to be keeping the far Left wackos from taking away our rights.
Arizona just put Ohole in check, soon it shall be checkmate. Sure Holder sue Arizona, what could go wrong? Liberal failure is about to be dragged kicking and screaming into the sunshine. Keep beer in the fridge and popcorn on the counter, this is going to be fun!
I wonder how long it will take before the Justice Dept. sues Arizona for undertaking this investigation. After all they don't appear to want the states doing anything that might reflect badly on the Obama Administration.
As one of the states with the best voting record in the nation, Arizona voters didn't go for "You Lie!" hussein in the primary (Hillary won) and didn't go for "You Lie!" in the general. Everyone knows that "You Lie!" hussein and his imbecile AG (and Black Panther Party supporter and defender) holder have relentlessly attacked, vilified and sued Arizona because it tries to protect its citizens from ILLEGAL invader criminals (which they won't do). Arizona has done more than any other state to fight d-cRAT socialist extremism, including blocking obozocare's mandate, stopping forced unionization, prohibiting affirmative action discriminatory special treatment and countless other socialist atrocities.
And now, the Great State of Arizona will go after the accomplices to the murder of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry who were part of, were knowledgeable of, and approved the OBOZO regime's Fast and Furious atrocity. Look for holder/OBOZO to sue Arizona once again to stop this execution of justice, but their intimidation won't work–patriots are not frightened by third-rate dictator extremists.
Last night I was watching a segment of the "Border Wars" program. A BP was explaining to the interview how they went to the places where they know illegals are waiting to cross over into the U.S. There were videos of illegals sitting on the ground, waiting for the cayotes to pick them up for transport to el Norte.
The BP agent then went on to explain that they had to try to talk the illegals from crossing over and warned them about the dangers (this was in Arizona) of the desert. Then I about fell out of my chair. The BP agent said that if the illegals told them that they were going to try anyway, the BP are then required to tell the illegals how to prepare themselves for the desert, and what to take with them, so they would be safe.
WTF? We are telling illegals how to stay safe as they break into our nation?
It's gratifying to see what can be achieved when citizens push lawfully push back against their local government for answers, and those entrusted to govern take the concerns of their constituents seriously.
If Holder falls, the toddler has no legal beagle to back him up. Well, maybe Reid and pelosi will take up the slack. They carried the load during dear leader's first two years of non leadership.

If I were in Grassley\Issa's shoes, I would be working hard to chase this all the way to its top. If that takes all the way into the election season and even the next administration, even better. Obama cannot pardon after he is out of office, not to mention use the President's office to shield himself.

It will be the state of Arizona that gets to the bottom of this. Not the DOJ. I'm afraid that the truly serious aspects of this case will be whitewashed by Isaa. Why? Because to right the wrongs would require prison time for government officials and they cannot be setting any precents that can be used in all of 0bamas other misdeeds. The government will take order over the masses over truth any day of the week. I do not trust the feds to do the right thing if it causes a breakdown of society.

I live in San Diego. On a radio station that broadcast sports 7/24 we have the Mexican government placing tons of ad's that explain to it's citizens of their rights they have while in the United States. Meaning all of the "free things" our government benevolently gives out such as welfare, food stamps, child tax credits and such things are now mexican rights….

I would like him thrown in jail for contempt. His attempts to play dumb and deny any knowledge of what went down are enough to justify contempt of congress charges. Would like to see Issa slap that stupid mustache off his face.
Better yet, take the fifth off the table. Give Holder immunity. Make him implicate Obama. See if Eric the Red is willing fall on his sword by spending a few months in Joe Apraio's jail.

Taxpayer dollars were spent on a nefarious plot to undermine the most important right each American holds as their own – their right to self defense and to use arms, whether that be a rock or a automatic rifle, to wage that act.
This was not just criminal in nature, it was TREASON. It was coordinated among the Cabinet Secretaries and implemented among the highest levels of government.
This cannot be allowed to stand, indeed we must stand up to it. If we do not, if we succumb to being placated by "some" answers, then we deserve, check that, we have earned the tyranny we endure as a result.

John Boehner needs to be tagged, daily, for his inaction and silence. Maybe the answer is not the states' right to secede from the Union, but to declare the state Sovereign from the Union. Since there is an obvious disconnect between reality on the ground versus the Beltway reality, a simple but defiant no could be achieved in regards to which laws the state chooses to enforce, versus the Feds failure to protect the state vis-a-vis the 10th Ammendment.
That would be great! This administration has declared war on Arizona, so they are entitled to fight back as hard as they can!
If Arizona were to file felony charges against any of the participants in F&F for violation of state law, would the Fed Gov't be obligated to issue fugitive warrants for any individual who does not voluntarily appear in court? And if those individuals happen to be Gov't employess, wouldn't they be required to see to it that these individuals appear in court? Or would they abett them by providing an immunity claim?
Anybody have any light to shed on this?

Holder will never quit. He knows the press will never hang him up unless they get video of him handing the rifles over to Chapo Guzman personally. If Obama wins, Holder will resign and Obama will appoint yet another government lawyer.
I think we as conservatives are frustrated because we lead lives where we are accountable to employer, family, friends, God, and country. The government bureaucrats who engineered this miss that led to so many deaths live in a opaque world where they get transfered to another gubmint department to get off the hook.
Obama and Holder feel responsibility to their own careers and to their radical politics.

On a related topic, I don't know that much about AZ Gov. Jan Brewer, but with this little exchange, she just became one of my new favorite people.
The criminality of this government from Obamao on down through Holder, and lower are not eligible for immunity even if Obamao grants everyone a blanket pardon. The reason being, is if Arizona brings charges, it is a state charge, over which the president has no jurisdiction. The first place I'd start looking, is at the Attorney General Cunningham who plead the fifth amendment. It would seem as if he's being offered a new job, to take the heat for the lie Holder told, and that there's a cover-up underway, orchestrated by Obamao.
Take a look at the new job he is leaving for. Get his new firm to answer some questions, such as:
Did the Obama administration have any communication with Cunninghams new employer, and what was the nature of any communications.
Its pretty obvious that a cover-up is underway, and once people start realizing they can go to jail for a long time, for conspiracy and obstruction, they will begin to talk to prosecutors. It can't hurt looking into the connection.
If Holder was a Republican F&F would be the lead story on every news cast. It's sad that we have such a corrupt media.

Invasion is putting it nicely. Let's stop mincing words and admit the VERY strong race issue here. It has all of of the hallmarks of cultural and racial GENOCIDE, but since it is genocide against white people it is not reported as such nor are we allowed to discuss it openly (two characteristics of the dialogue that prove my very point of genocide.)
We as conservatives are frustrated because those who claim to represent us and to work in behalf of our interests are at least inept, if not fools, crooks, or all three. In business and all of life, with the exception of politics, conservatives are usually the ones who deal in results and are all about adding value. In politics, most avowed conservatives are apparently genetically committed to bringing peashooters to firefights and other high forms of appeasement, and we actual conservatives have had way more than enough. Our frustration stems from the fact, as stated by a poster on another site, that "It's too late to work with them, and it's too soon to shoot the bastards." I hope our Republic can be salvaged, but I fear that our situation is a case of systemic moral decay at this point, and that nothing short of collapse, seeing our lives flash before us, and rebooting will be deep enough to fix it.
