BREAKING on Fast and Furious: Arizona Moves to Prosecute Those the Feds Won’t

As a result, Americans of all walks of life now know that the ATF and DOJ oversaw the sale of approximately 2,500 guns to straw purchasers who, in turn, passed them to criminals in Mexico and elsewhere. Moreover, Americans know that the plan from the get-go was to have these guns carried across an international border and passed to criminals whom the ATF then planned to arrest (but they never got around to arresting them because they hadn’t bothered tracing the guns from the point of sale).
Therefore, Americans also know that of the 2,500 guns originally sold, approximately 1,300 are still on the streets and unaccounted for. At least two of these guns were found at Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry’s murder scene in December 2010, and Americans increasingly know that while Terry may have been the first American victim, odds are he won’t be the last with such a large number of weapons on the loose.
Lastly, Americans know that President Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder have both denied complicity in Fast and Furious, particularly in the gun-running aspects of it. Throughout the course of denying complicity, Holder has changed his story more than once, Obama has demonstrated confusion over when he first learned about Fast and Furious, and former U.S. Attorney Dennis Burke (Arizona) was allowed to retire without charges although he was demonstrably involved in covering up the connection between Fast and Furious and Agent Terry’s death.
Perhaps through all this, the one thing the American people have witnessed to a sickening degree is the stark failure to prosecute those involved in Fast and Furious to the full extent of the law. Holder has been handled with kid gloves, Burke is now living a private life, and Obama is not being asked to clear up the many discrepancies in his timeline.
Enter Arizona.
Where the same state that brought you S.B. 1070—the immigration law aimed at allowing the state to do the job the feds won’t do—is set to open their own investigation into Fast and Furious and bring state charges against those the feds have heretofore refused to charge. Andy Tobin, Arizona’s Speaker of the House, will announce tomorrow (Monday, January 23rd) the scope of the investigation, and will call for state investigators to have their findings back to him no later than March 30.
The bottom line: Arizona is about to the do the job the feds won’t do – again.

There is simply no way, after a 1st similar program and the questions raised at the time about the fact no one was tracking the guns once released, to believe this wasn't an ongoing deliberate effort.
This wasn't a mistake and cover up. This was the deliberate arming of drug cartels to undermine the Constitution, authorized from the top. This is Watergate but orders of magnitude worse. The circumstantial evidence is abundant. The hard evidence will come out only if non-Liberals treat it as the scandal of the century it is, and don't stop yelling about it.

The Silent Speaker, John Boehner, should not be let off the hook here. Not only is there a failure to prosecute, much less even tell the truth about this nefarious plot to undermine the Second Amendment, but there has been a total lack of involvement by the Speaker of the House. The man has not said ONE WORD about the entire debacle.
From the get go I have hammered the point about coordination between agencies bureaus and departments. Several times I have pointed to the notion that some of them may well have leaned on local officials. With Arizona now entering the fray in this way, I am betting there is hidden fire on that level causing smoke that cannot be hidden from those on the "inside".

This has been happening in the rural communities since o-hole got elected. I personally know of three couples that sold everything and moved (with their children) into these types of communes. They are prepared and if nothing catastrophic happens, atleast they have been living a clean life without Monsanto's genetically altered food for the past three years.

Both of those candidates are all about the global warming…..so that issue would be blunted as well.

Here is a profound difference.
Any "memos", any correspondence from the feds to the state is information the state government is in possession of. I have long pointed at the possibility that the feds leaned on local officials…..and proof of that might well exist in the hands of those who, with a formal "investigation" in place, can see them released. And that has the potential to bust out some more lies……as in Holder and crew saying they have turned over all the documents when they haven't.
Remember last hearing when Holder admitted that he had no intention of turning over all documentation? He got out front of what just happened, admitting there is more that he has not and will not turn over. He knows he has already lied too much and been caught. Me thinks he knows that Arizona has some goods and I will go further. He may have leaned on Arizona over their illegal alien legislation as an attempt to stifle GunWalker revelations.

I could be wrong, Mike, but I believe the law was changed (in 2008?). The Governors are no longer the Commanders in Chief of their states' guard units – even for "emergencies" within their own states. Or, rather, they are, unless the president overrides their authority.

ATF never "planned to arrest" because there is no authority, no jurisdiction, to arrest across the border. There was cooperation with the Mexican government on this operation either.

The Obama regime is not prosecuting this case due to the fact that this reaches the highest level of the Exectutive branch… Obama and Holder. Holder saying he didn't know let alone approve the fiasco, in spite of the fact he had briefings and memoranda proving he did, and the fact that he gave at a minimum implicit approval for the operation by failing to stop it. Only ONE answer allows for Holder's version to be true; Gross incompetence. Absent gross incompetence, Holder is guilty of violating his oath of office, and authorizing violating federal, state and international laws in the sale and transmission of firearms, and facilitating the murder of an United States Law Enforcement Officer.
Holder's version would NOT be accepted by ANYONE in private industry anywhere, anytime. Holder had the DUTY, AUTHORITY and RESPONSIBILITY to know and approve the action.
How does the United States of America have people in the position to authorize violating state, federal and international law and NOT ONE PERSON said anything until it was too late? To accept from the Government that authorized the crimes that it will not only not be investigated, it won't be prosecuted by those that authorized and put it into action. Imagine if everyone had the option of investigating their own crimes and the answer is, no one knew and there will be no consequences????
Remember, tomorrow is a milestone for the Senate it will be 1000 days since they passed a budget. I know which party is responsible, and I know you do as well.

Here in the USA we look to remote, rural communities for sancturary from urban chaos. A plot of land with generator and a small creek would be perfect.

The people in life I trust the most, I went to kindergarten with.
I know who they are. I know who their family is.
In my world, when welcoming a stranger, the standard greeting is not "where are you from", but "who are your people?" That tells someone everything they need to know.

Yea lets remember Arizona gets their sheriffs and towns people murdered because the federal government under Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush all refuse to protect the borders and in fact arm these drug dealers.
Who knows because when Obama took office he granted immunity to Bush, so there is a history of politicians democrats and republicans taking care of each other, so the next republican president will do the same for Obama and grant him immunity after all democrats and republicans only represent politicians.
This is true, the democrats and republicans both want only one thing for them to stay in office forever, and to control this country, even if it means ruining the economy, telling lies, and getting people killed.

Who wants to volunteer for jury duty on this case? I bet lots of conservatives will. But they better do it carefully. If the jury pickers find out the potential jury member is a conservative, they'll strike them from the jury fast.

Fast and Furious was not "botched" it went exactly as planned and ordered by higher ups in ATF and the DOJ.
Thankfully 0bama can't nationalize the National Guard without Gov. Brewer's permission. You may recall that Pres. Bush wanted to nationalize the LA National Guard during Katrina so he could mobilize and coordinate them faster but Gov. Blanco of LA refused to sign off on it. Of course 0bama seems to have no qualms about ignoring the law when he wants to.
