Department of Justice Finally Responds to ‘Fast and Furious’ Accusations, By Mandating More Gun Control
by AWR HawkinsIn a move that should outrage every freedom-loving American, the Department of Justice (DOJ) has decided that the way to correct the utter failure (and criminality) of Operation “Fast and Furious” is to punish gun store owners.
That’s right: in response to the growing public outcry over the hundreds upon hundreds of guns which illegally crossed the border into Mexico with the ATF’s blessing, the DOJ is requiring gun stores in Arizona, California, Texas and New Mexico to report individual purchases of multiple rifles of greater than .22 caliber to the ATF. To quality for special reporting, the rifles also have to have a detachable magazine and be semi-automatic. (In other words, they are similar to many of the 2500 guns the ATF allowed “straw purchasers” to buy during Operation “Gunrunner.”)
Upon instituting this new rule late Monday night, July 11, Deputy Attorney General James Cole released a letter explaining that the new reporting mandate is due to the fact that such weapons “are highly sought after by dangerous drug trafficking organizations and frequently recovered at violent crime scenes near the Southwest Border.”
Cole added: “This new reporting measure…will improve the ability of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to detect and disrupt the illegal weapons trafficking networks responsible for diverting firearms from lawful commerce to criminals and criminal organizations.”
The hypocrisy here is palpable, and it is as repugnant to the rational mind as the DOJ-approved smuggling of weapons across the border was to begin with.
Where’s the apology for Border Agent Brian Terry’s death?
Where are the criminal prosecutions for every member of the Obama administration that had a hand in Operations “Gunrunner” and “Fast and Furious”?
They are nowhere to be seen because this has been part of the plan all along. As I wrote in a July 8, 2011, post on BigGovernment.com, the administration was hoping “to flood the border with weapons in order to create a degree of chaos sufficient to convince us of the supposed-need for more gun control in America.” They failed to convince us of the need for more gun control but via Cole’s announcement they are implementing it anyway.
Make no mistake folks, another way to describe this mandate to report multiple gun purchases (which will contain the purchaser’s name and personal information) is call it what it is – a gun registration scheme.
And of this you can be sure: the DOJ that couldn’t follow an AR-15 across the border without losing it during “Gunrunner” and “Fast and Furious” will have no problems keeping their eye on the guns law-abiding American citizens purchase for sport or personal protection.

Impeachment will not be a success since Harry Reid is still Senate Majority Leader. The only hope is victory in 2012 (and NOT by a certain RINO from MA). After that all parties involved in this gunrunner conspiracy/debacle may be extradited to Mexico, where prosecutors are already screaming for their blood. I know I've said it before, but I'll say it again…. The thought of Eric Holder in a Mexican prison cell makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. This scandal is big enough that several other high ranking administration officials could be extradited along with him. As an aside, B. Hussein Obama can issue all the pardons he wants, none of them will have any effect on Mexican jurisprudence.
There are so many reasons to impeach Chairman O and even more reasons to invoke the 25th amendment that it boggles the mind to think that nobody has stepped up to the job yet…
Nearly all of the reasons for impeachment involve denying the civil rights of private citizens, extortion, bribery, election tampering, witness tampering, jury tampering, financial fraud related to campaign fund raising, numerous and blatant Hatch Act violations, misappropriation of taxpayer funds for political purposes, making knowingly false statements to congress, issuance of unlawful orders to federal law enforcement officers, complicity in the murders of federal law enforcement officers, utter disregard for federal court orders, utter disregard for congressional oversight subpoenas, utter disregard for the constitutional limitations on power of the office of president and treason…
I'm not holding my breath on the 25th but you'd have to hope that at least a few cabinet members might have some concerns for their own legal self preservation and do the right thing for the country.

As usual the government is try to distract everyone with this unconstitutional (again) executive order form the King. Not only am I outraged over the governments continual attempt at restricting my 2nd amendment rights, I am outraged at the lack of media attention to this and the other numerous attacks by this administration to all Americans. Those who were involved with this unlawful operation in the administration need to be held accountable, and I don't mean just ousting them from their positions, they need to be held criminally and civilly responsible. Prison time would be a start.

That's the basic premise Petro……sell on "paper"….is the way I understood a mutual friend of ours suggested. But it's done through a dealer which makes it "proper" if you will, continuing forward, never to return back. (There's also considerations with regards to which state one is in and how gun sales must be conducted – ie: simply a bill of sale between 2 individuals….). And yes, their own bureacracy will contribute to the delays…..

This is beyond Unconstitutional and Congress had better act quickly. First, to apply this to only 4 States, is illegal in itself. But I'm sure if this is brought up, they will gladly expand it to all 50. Outrageous.
The one fact that the gun control freaks never want to address is that most gun violence is perpetrated by people who DO NOT LEGALLY OWN A GUN. They also don't want to address the fact that someone who wants to shoot someone isn't really going to take into consideration gun control laws. After all, the penalty for illegal possession is minor compared to 1st degree murder. They could ban guns outright, and it would not stop gun crime. Drug dealers, mobsters, and other criminals will still use them to ply their trades – and more boldly so, because law abiding citizens would have no defense against a gun.

Part of their overall "false flag" strategy to chisel away at American liberties as (supposedly) guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution.

Equal protection is a good strategy, but so too is the FFA several states are pursuing on Tenth Amendment grounds. And seeing as how SCOTUS has made clear we are talking about a right belonging to the people, not a power belonging to the states, all of government will lose a great deal of authority (unjust as it is) they have long imposed upon us to infringe on that shall not be infringed.
Congress has been slow playing this as much as possible to ensure it is an election issue. Proof is in the pudding.
