It’s Time to Think Big: Re-Elect President Palin, 2016
by AWR HawkinsAs we survey the political landscape, things don’t look so good for President Obama. Unemployment remains high (over 9%), fuel prices remain high (Obama said “get used to it”), we are still in Libya (“days not weeks”), and Americans who can’t afford to go on vacation are increasingly sickened by Obama’s never ending vacations and 70-plus trips to the golf course.
To put it mildly, the commander-and-chief comes across a bit haughty.
However, it seems that even Obama is starting to realize there could be trouble in his would-be socialistic paradise. Thus he recently made mention of how he and his family would be okay if he was only a one term president and he sent Michelle Obama out on the campaign trail (which is the next best thing to asking not to be re-elected).
For example, while campaigning in California on June 13th Michelle said of her husband, “this man doesn’t take a day off” and she praised the fact that he has accomplished “the withdrawal of our troops from overseas.”
In subsequent news, two U.S. soldiers were killed in Iraq on June 14th, our troops are still fighting a war in Afghanistan, and Obama spent the majority of Memorial Day on a golf course.
My point is not simply that Obama is out of touch and beatable, but that he is way out of touch and extremely beatable. Not, of course, by some moderate Republican, but by a conservative Republican: and particularly by Sarah Palin.
Although her bus tour is over, the media still can’t let her go. Now they’re all busy letting us know how her bus tour didn’t help her numbers at all or trying to somehow persuade us that John Ziegler’s opinion matters. I’m sorry, but I see the way people listen when Palin talks, the way they react when she shakes hands with them, and the genuine love for country she displayed in her 24,000 emails the mainstream media thought they could use to bring her down.
In case you missed it, one thing the mainstream media did learn from Palin’s emails was that she agreed to have a baby shower thrown in her son Trig’s honor, with the caveat that all the gifts would be donated to military families. So on August 15, 2008, while Obama was counting up the number of golf courses he could visit if elected president, Palin was in Juneau, Alaska, holding her little boy in her arms and saying “thank you” for gifts that were sent to “the military families of wounded service members deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom or Operation Enduring Freedom.” (I hope Chris Matthews and that Keith guy who used to have a show on MSNBC are reading this.)
In subsequent news, Rasmussen recently released poll results that show “a plurality of Republican primary voters think it would be…bad for the party if…Sarah Palin joined the field.” And I couldn’t agree more if, by “Republicans,” Rasmussen means those folks who gave us presidential candidates Bob Doyle and John McCain, and who probably would have been dumb enough to give us presidential candidate Mike Huckabee if he hadn’t bowed out earlier this year.
Palin is very bad for the Republican establishment. And that’s why the same Rasmussen poll which showed that a plurality of Republicans view her entry into the race as a bad thing also showed that a plurality of Tea Partiers view it as a good thing. And that’s definitely the best thing.
If you don’t believe me, just reflect on the 2010 midterm elections, where 30 of the 43 House candidates endorsed by Palin won and 7 of the 12 Senate candidates endorsed by Palin won. These victories represented both a humiliating defeat of Obama’s party and his policies, as well as a wake-up call to “a plurality” of moderate Republicans who thought the way to win was by moving to the center.
I see Obama for what he is and I see Palin for what she is. And in light of that, I see nothing to fear.
It’s time to think big folks: Re-elect President Palin, 2016

I would vote for a Palin ticket. The reason is, she has been a thorn in Obamas' side, and done so consistently. Every issue, she has been on the front lines. Is her voice a little irritating? YES. I can look past that, and what matters to me is she has HEART ( courage ). She has been kicked, punched, stabbed and she keeps coming back for more. All that says to me is, SHE IS READY FOR PRIME TIME!!! Why wait until 2016
I wonder why we don't ever hear anything about the Soros SOS project anymore…?
And I wonder what the correlation will be between States that end up voting for Obama, those that don't and which States have Democratic Sec. of States this next Presidential election.
Bobby Doyle hangs out in a neighborhood bar that I frequent. Nice guy — when he hasn't got his load on — but you're right, he never should have been nominated.
"Fast and Furious" or what ever it's called,…
better not turn into another "Pigford II" (Republican SUBMISSION), because,………..
unlike Iran / Contra, the guns we supplied to the bandidos,……
are being used to kill Americans.
This story better go Woodward and Bernstein.
Come on Breitbart,.unleash the hounds.
All it will take to re-elect President Sarah in 2016: "Are you better off than you were 4 years ago?"
wnelson13. please reread the title. I think Mr. Hawkins may have caught you napping. Don't worry, it happens to the best of us, esp on a Monday morning. ; )
Yes, THIS!
Count me in!
lmao, yeah right there in the headline.
yeah its 5 am on the west coast, and it has been a long weekend.
Sarah simply scares the pants of the wimpy Democrats and weak-kneed Republicans. Whether she could win is subject to debate, but without a doubt she is the person most likely to make a liberal and a RINO go into convulsions out of sheer terror.
I keep saying to people that this next election is ours for the taking. And we have a smorgasbord of candidates to choose from.
So don't be afraid to choose the BEST candidate out there, rather than the SAFEST one. Because we may never have as good an opportunity as we have right now to install some REAL leaders into government. Ubama is THAT beatable.
I would be on board. She probably still is a bit premature for the presidency, but life is not perfect. She has done more to lead the Pubs from her FB page than any of her beltway critics. I can hardly listen to her speeches any more, they are so screechy. I don't know what happened there, as her initial run at the convention was superb. But even so, her values are rock solid, and she is one courageous lady indeed.
At least, it would be interesting to see her get in the race and mix it up with Bachmann. The party would be better for it, and so would the nation. It would serve to reintroduce her to the public without the MSM filter – at which point anything could happen..
"I can hardly listen to her speeches any more, they are so screechy."
Haha. And all I can think of is that "droning baritone" of Wacky Baracky, and how much I want to wretch every time I hear it.
Could Sarah's voice be the ultimate revenge for 4 years of suffering with the voice of the Nutty Professor?
Rasmussen means those folks who gave us presidential candidates Bob Doyle and John McCain
And the ones that opposed Ron Paul – the effect of which meant you got Obama. Anything other than Ron Paul means more Obama.
Sarah DOES have more sense and more experience than anything, that Obama has to offer…which, by now, WE KNOW is NOTHING!!!
The first Cafe Press or similar t-shirt seller to market this slogan on a t-shirt gets my money. I'll take at least two (2XL size please).
Yeah, that's what we need. Another "cult of personality" candidate.
"Anything other than Ron Paul means more Obama."
So should we call him "The One, Deux?"
"(2XL size please)"
Don't let Moochelle hear you saying that. She'll have you eating toxic vegetables from her garden.
Couldn't agree more, Mr. Hawkins.
Patriotic Americans need to stop listening to what the MSM and career pols say, and start focusing on who our best, strongest candidate is – Sarah Palin.
Think bigger: Piper 2040
Drill Baby Drill.
Good morning there hosefaber. Attempting to pass your self off as a Libertarian and control the narrative? Howsabout you find yourself a nice cup of STFU this morning and take your communism\anti-Semitism back to the Dailyrub.
"I see Obama for what he is and I see Palin for what she is. And in light of that, I see nothing to fear."
I also see Obama for what he is. So do many other people. The problem is, if it were stated openly, and emphatically, the Secret Service would be on my door step, pulling my fingernails off with a pair of pliers.
Sarah is the ONE candidate who has it ALL!!!
If we are so ignorant to fail to support her, because we don't care for her voice, I guess we deserve another
four years of o-HOLE, don't we?
WHAT A COUNTRY!!!

To the Editor:
As I read Mrs. XXXXXXX rebuttal to my letter I could not help but recall that movie The Titanic by James Cameron. In my minds eye I can clearly see Mrs. XXXXXX standing outside the wheel house cheering on Captain Obama as he steers the ship of state not only into the iceberg, but then, throws the ship into full reverse to hit it again, just to be sure the ship is absolutely going to sink. Whether it is Obama, Cuomo, or even Weiner they are all reading from the same playbook written by liberal democrat after liberal democrat. Spend more, promise more, borrow more, regulate more, fight wars only when “we” run them otherwise wail like stuck pigs against them, and last but not least, don’t mind the stench of hypocrisy, oh no, we must full our noses with as much sanctimonious “but its for the children” as will fit to mask the stench.
My life experience guided by what I know to be true says we are in deep trouble and I’m trying to ring the alarm with these letters. If all of you want to live out the last days of prosperity in placid ignorance, you have that right, because better men, and these days women, from our local police and fire force’s right on up to every soul in the United State Military step into the breach to give you that opportunity. I recommend a hot cup of tea and the liberal media of your choice that does not challenge any assumption you have been taught to bleep just like the Phd XXXXXXX has done with such seeming certitude along with your thoughts in the same paper you now hold in your hands. I say nuts to all of it. We are trillions in debt and deficit and our problems from not having opened Yucca mountain to secure nuclear waste to the ATF letting thousands of guns in to the wrong hands only increases my angst.
We are free and will remain so because we cherish debate and the ballot and we can alter our course through that ballot box. We have for almost three generations accepted the notion that the liberal philosophy in either how we fight wars or how we live our daily lives is the answer. To accomplish this, both political parties have engaged in the “you scratch my back, I’ll scratch your’s” act. This “go along to get along” attitude has led us to a decade of combat against one side of the same muslim/arab coin, a destroyed dollar, and diminished standing among the free nations of the world, and a fantasy land interest rate environment that only Bozo the Clown Banker could love. Americans don’t lead by bowing to dictators or by apology. They hold their hand out and say to the world that we will do our level best to help you realize your freedom, but will not give up our freedom to be safe. Because as Benjamin Franklin once said a nation that is willing to give up its freedom for security will soon have neither. I may not be the smartest man, but I think old Franklin knew a thing or two about what it took to get the freedom that we seem so willing to give up and hand, our children, my children, the MasterCard bill for.
Joe Doakes
ps. What kind of father pisses away his kids money? Would Palin do such a moronic thing as keep Yucca closed or not allow drilling for oil?
We need more politicians like Palin and fewer like Boehner. We need people that will push for positive, meaningful changes to what ails this country and the establishment GOP just doesn't want that. They collude with the Dems because both parties want the status quo.
Sarah Palin is the only candidate that can beat Obama in 2012.
Re-elect? She'll just quit after 2 years.
If one looks at who has the country’s best interest in mind, Sarah Palin ranks in the top five and as the article states she is not an establishment Republican. This garners a lot of good faith with the majority of Americans. What would Sarah bring to the campaign? Honesty, integrity, common sense and good judgment seem to be the first things that enter my thoughts. It is no wonder the left is nearly rabid at the mere mention of her name and the RINO’s are wriggling in their skin as she sets up the narrative for solid debate. If she enters the race, I believe the level of debate will rise exponentially and at a minimum it would cull the bad fruit from the tree.
Aaaaaah, ha ha ha ha ha
What a pathetic moron you are.
"Although her bus tour is over, the media still can’t let her go."
Says a member of the media as he writes a piece about her.
Waking up with Herr faber is something that only Eva Braun would be willing to do.
Roo Paul supporter?
Not possible for a nazi snake head like him P2O.
Not Over.
Not so fast. I don't think she'll be seeking Obama's job at the UN any time soon.
She is most certainly establishment, endorsing McCain in the AZ primary is pretty much establishment as you can get. That also seems to contradict any claim of integrity and common sense.
I'll take Palin or Bachmann. (In a pinch, I'll take Pawlenty, but to get him elected, he'll need a gumption transplant.) Our critical needs are 1) a conservative president with the brass to take on and face down the Establishments of both parties, and 2) solid majorities in both the House and the Senate, so that the repeal of recent, disastrous policies can go on unhampered.
Sarah and Michelle are both highly satisfactory for the presidency. Whichever one has the greater chance of prevailing in November should get the GOP nod. Let's consider the matter settled and turn some attention to the recapture of the Senate.
Why don't you "just quit" being an a$$hole clown boy.
I know…I know it's not possible, is it troll meat?
Not Over.
She left to save her state the resources and time that would have been wasted on a liberal witch hunt.
Palin did the right thing. We know it.
You hit the nail on the head JK144. This damn Ron Paul cult somehow believes they can hold
us hostage and force us to vote for their messiah… It is a perfect example of the minority trying
to find ways to exercise some power over the majority. These are the peeps who gave us o-HOLE,
and seem to be proud of that. They often say their "conscience is clear", and that they have
"principles" to uphold. Evidently they have no stake in the economy, or they are so brainwashed
they can't see the effect their choice has wrought on our REPRESENTATIVE REPUBLIC…
You'll notice Paul doesn't do anything to discourage that, either. Did Paul endorse any other (R)
candidate when he pulled out of the Prez race last time? I don't seem to remember him doing
that.
IMO it's time for patriotic Texans to rally against his district, and see that he loses his seat
in CONgress… it's the least we can do. If you do biz with anyone who lives, or operates a biz
in Paul's district, it may be time for you to reconsider that biz association. Enough of this BS!
OUT with Ron Paul!!! He is using the (R) party to be reelected, when he is not a party player,
he's a Libertarian, who is well aware he could not be elected in Tx running on their platform.
How long will the (R) Party allow this deception to continue? Perhaps we should force feed
him a dose of TEA… His cult claim to have ''invented'' the TEA Party, so what better than to
have his own ''invention'' turn on him, and bite him in the a$$?
.
.
Yeah, as far as I can tell they wouldn't be happier than to have Palin.
Very true. I do enjoy poking at the little troll. It seems that each time he gets his ass chapped a little he tends to expose himself as the communist traitor he is. That is of couse if the dung weasel is even a citizen.
It's called integrity troll meat.
She had a sense of individual loyalty to the man that gave her an opportunity to run as VP.
It's that simple.
Not Over.
Here's a little conservative project that could have a big payoff:
http://www.precinctproject.net/
Uh huh, let's just wait and see shall we. Endorsing McCain could have had something to do with keeping her word. That would be one hell of a thing now wouldn't it. You know that whole integrity thing and all.
Excellent article …because I agree with every single itty-bitty word – even the punctuation ;>
Seriously, I've said it before here: We need to see some cabinet choices early in the process. Even before she declares would be fine with me.
Wow, its dumb and dumber chiming in about the media being in the tank for someone. How apoplectic would you two a$$holes be if the entire media abandon Obama and tanked for Palin? Not that MSM could bring them selves out of the communist fog to do so. Just wondering is all.
Look, the most important thing Ron Paul COULD do for the Republicans is get with everyone else and say…
"I'll get out of the race, if you let me go after the Fed as its CHAIRMAN…and let me go everywhere and see everything, and report it all…"
THEN he would be helpful and useful…
Now that would be a significant step in a direction to correct course.
Pfftttt…she thinks…
"I don't have to do a DAMN thing she says…I don't sleep with her…"
A good thing to say whenever some NAG Socialist b!tch gets to thinking she can tell anyone what to do…
Why don't you two just get a room and share pillow talk into the wee hours of the morning…?
Spare us…
It Starts Here
It Starts Now
Mr President GAME ON!
Your animus for a Constitutionalist is quite odd as are your arguments (and your insinuation that Paul isn't patriotic is laughable). Voting for Paul or any other candidate was a vote for that candidate, not a vote for Obama. Of course, the president is not elected via the popular vote. You think principles and values are something to be tossed aside for expediency.
Abandoning one's alleged principles is integrity? Loyalty to a man instead of loyalty to principles? She's a hypocrite, then..
Wait and see what? The primary was last year. Making excuses for her when her actions contradict her words is simply irrational.
Just 'cause YOU hope for that, doesn't mean she will..
Neither of us claimed the media is in the tank for Palin. And good grief, it happens again; Palin is the topic and one of her fans desperately tries to change the subject to Obama.
Who would be his running mate? Kucinich?
as a lifelong conservative- yeah, even as a kid- i'm sick & tired of being told i need to compromise my principles, hold my nose and vote for the establishment Republican, because "it's the lesser of two evils", or "we'll lose if we don't run moderates" etc.
JUST ONCE, say, every 25-30 yrs, i'd like the limp-wristed moderates of the party to be the ones who are expected to hold their damn noses with one hand and flip the lever, punch the chad, touch the touch screen, or whatever with the other. you know, "for the good of the country, party, etc."
it's our turn.
I agree and wish there were more honest, sincere, and true patriots like Palin out there running for a variety of political offices. Imagine if there were senators who held the same values as her. This country would rise to the levels it once held when Americans were proud of their country not apologizing like this current administration does daily.
Nice try. Perhaps you can convince the sphincter muscles at the HuffnPuff or Dailypose with that.
Where is your loyalty?
Obama is extremely beatable and out of touch. Both him and his wife Michelle-now in Africa-are travelling the world trying to get votes. They care not about this country and everyone knows it now. Why is Obama running guns into Mexico?
"Says a member of the media as he writes a piece about her." Dumb
"Yeah, as far as I can tell they wouldn't be happier than to have Palin." Dumber
I was pointing out the absurd nature of your remarks. More dilicious irony? Morons.
Paul, nor his supporters are patriots…it is clear to any rational thinking, objective observer,
y'all are a cult, and he is your messiah.
I think "principles and values are … to be tossed aside" to prevent the destruction of our
REPRESENTATIVE REPUBLIC. Clearly, YOU DON'T. Perhaps you have not suffered any
deleterious effect from the current economic conditions, which were clearly identifiable
before you refused to join the (R) majority to help us prevent o-HOLE's election…
Take responsibility for your actions, after all your principles are everything. Be sure to re-
member those principles when you are starving…
.
I'd vote for Sarah, I'd vote for Cain, I'd vote for Bachmann and bring in Marco Rubio.
Any combination of the above will have the cultural elitist's in the MSM spewing vitriol hatred for the next 4 years.
You think it was bad with Bush?. One would hope that the MSM has lost all credibility but their incessant negative reporting of lies to the public will have the whole economy going to hell in a hand basket despite the fact that unemployment will be at 4%, Gas at less then $2 a gallon and fiscal responsibility will have rescued consumer confidence.
The takers among us will make Wisconsin look like a school play once we get rid of The board of education, once we cut the balls off of the EPA, make every state a right to work state and cut off funding to enemy countries.
I for one am ready for what ever it takes and what ever comes my way.
Bring it on all you narcissist liberal progressives.
His views are fine; his weird persona render him a certain loser. Even to a radical, failed incompetent like Obama.
I will work hard to elect any "Constitutionalist" to the Congress & Senate in my State, in order to thwart any RINO or Dem that may get elected. It may be the only way to fight the "Ruling Class" & return to a Constitution" based Government.
“The trade of governing has always been monopolized by the most ignorant and the most rascally individuals of mankind.” Thomas Paine
NO Zio-kooks like Palin and Bachmann or Cain. Put AMERICA first, not Israel.
I like Sarah Palin, but I think the media has done a VERY effective job in painting a picture of her that far too many people will use to identify her, and therefore, she would have a hard time getting elected.
Hilarious that the left has been reduced to laughable shots about Palin being a "quitter."
Despite all the dumpster diving, enlisting leftwing readers to sift through emails, and the corrupt Journolist media's attempts to destroy her, this is what the left thinks is a winning issue?
I don't make excuses, I subscribe to "no excuse, is the only excuse".
If you are spending this much of your energy pointing out Palin's misgivings where do you stand on capping campaign funds? How about something like 1.5 million per quarter beginning in the year up to the election? You know level the playing field some.
Unfortunately, you are neither a rational thinker nor a moralist.
I guess there aren't enough Israeli-dual citizens to challenge Paul in his district. LOL! "Patriots"? Patriots have no choice but Paul at this point.
Kucinich is more of a Constitutionalist than anyone else on the GOP side besides Paul.
Personal integrity is as foreign to the regressive left as a Great White sharks knowledge of Pikes Peak.
Speaking of Rinos, here are the 78 Republicans who voted for the Pigford Scam.
http://johngaltlist.blogspot.com/2011/06/78-rinos...
I would agree if he could BECOME the chairman. Nothing short of that will make a difference.
Except you just did.
And why are you trying to change the subject again?
Rand Paul, possibly. Ron Paul never; If not for some of his positions, definitely for his cult like supporters.
Writing about someone doesn't mean one is in the tank for that person. Neither statement is dumb nor absurd.
Your hatred of Israel cuts no ice with me. America does come first — but it's in America's interest that Israel remain healthy, and not just because of the sentiments of American Jews.
We get more military intelligence, and more samples of enemy military hardware, from Israel than from all the rest of our allies and kinda-sorta-allies COMBINED. I'm in the field; I know.
PALIN/BACHMAN 2012, can you see that team going to the White House. Talk about pissing off the Taliban and 90% of the Muslim world and striking fear at the same time, not to mention the Radical Liberal Left
Well, her inability to name a SCOTUS decision she disagreed with is her own fault.
"Paul, nor his supporters are patriots…it is clear to any rational thinking, objective observer,
y'all are a cult, and he is your messiah."
Spoken like a true big government progressive.
What's the matter? Not getting enough hope and change?
I am voting for President Palin, if I have to write her name in, so be it.
It is my hope that she runs as an Independent. This way, the entire Republican Party membership has to make a choice that not even big media can hide. They will have to submit to the very line they have long been telling conservative and libertarian minded folks – They will have to "vote with us" or else they "split the vote" and are "responsible" for "losing".
The bullying that the GOP is guilty of is about to come back to haunt them.
Let's show the mediaq and GOP establishments that we are indeed the boss. No more can we sit idle and have the establishment controllers of both make our choices for us if we aim to set this country on a right and proper path.
Vote Sarah, with conviction and resolve. No fear and no more games. Wake Up America. Stand up America. Vote Palin for Prosperity.
Tell me, what right does an Israeli have to the money I earn?
but it's in America's interest that Israel remain healthy,
We thrived before they were even invented in 1948.
You mean the "intelligence" we get they mysteriously we need to attack all the countries that Israel wants attacked? Funny how that works out, huh? That isn't intelligence, it is manipulation. FUNNY HOW THAT INTELLIGENCE DIDN'T GIVE US A HEADS UP ON 9/11, HUH? One Israeli company, however, admitted to getting advanced notice….
http://www.haaretz.com/print-edition/news/odigo-s...
Some others who were "in the field" were on the USS Liberty when it was attacked by Israel. Why don't we listen to them?
Bob Doyle, Bob Dole … same difference. The latest moderate squish the Republicans are trying to foist on us is Willard Romney. And he'd lose to the worst president in our great nation's history. If that travesty happens, expect a new political party to arise.
But we can't let that travesty happen. The future of all we hold dear depends on it.
Equivocating are you? I am so surprised. NOT.
I'll say if for you. He's a Marxist butt deep in a conspiracy with other lefties to bring down this country and create a one world government. He's a traitor to the constitution and to the spirit and intent of our founders. He's a little brother to Hugo Chavez, with the backing of Soros. He has also lit a fire under the dormant patriotism in the US, and his machinations have inspired a fight back attitude in us all. We will defend the future for our kids.
Go Sarah!!
So, when is Rue Paul going to repudiate the white supremacist groups that were contributing to his previous presidential campaign?
No, you'll get to say President Palin for eight full prosperous freedom loving years.
More accurately, forced to resign as Alaska's governor after fighting dozens of baseless ethics charges that were all defeated, but were bankrupting her personally (Alaska doesn't reimburse political figures for legal defense, even when found not guilty as she was), and preventing her from executing properly her duties as governor.
My daughter says the same thing, but I think the comparison to Obama, one on one, will refute the media's lies. She'll take him on, and smack him down. We have to go big or forget it. A Romney just won't turn us around.
Remember, an independent candidate will re-elect Obama. She won't do that, I hope. Let's just get her nominated and elected!
She's not gonna run.
I don't think that word means what you think it means.
Joe Doakes
Great post!
You are my hero!
i'm sure the subtleties of a 2 party system are beyond your comprehension, so i won't bother explaining it.
She won't run as an independent. She did the establishment thing and lectured the Tea Partiers to pick a party.
Your mine! Hang in there!
You didn't answer the question (and we don't have a two-party system).
The U.S.S. Liberty was a friendly-fire accident due in large part to the fog of war, and that ship being 90 miles closer to the shoreline and hostilities than we reported to our allies that it would be.
Why not listen to the crewMAN who says it was a deliberate attack? Because in nearly a dozen federal investigations, he stated one thing, then changed his tune to call the attack a deliberate one that he witnessed (even though his duty station was BELOW DECKS) in order to score television interviews and a book deal.
In simpler terms, he started lying for money.
