CBC Conference Attendees Say Tea Party Is Racist
by Bob ParksMRCTV visited the 41st Annual Legislative Conference of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation and found that some of those we met up with believe the Tea Party and/or its members are racist, and some even hurled racial slurs at Republican Presidential candidate Herman Cain and Rep. Allen West. Curiously the mainstream media was absent while we were there, not asking questions of the CBC attendees like the ones they vigorously asked of Tea Party members at their rallies.
The ‘Regretful Obama Voter’ Speaks
by Bob ParksBOB: When I first saw this video, it brought back memories of my left-to-right conversion. However, I didn’t get an opportunity to “come out” as publicly as Jodi Carroll. Jodi, before we get into specifics, how did the video idea happen?
JODI CARROLL: I was asked to give a speech to a group of people last summer through my connections with Docs 4 Patient Care. I took it upon myself at that time to bring my recorder to get it recorded. Then last December, I was asked again to give the speech, so again I brought my recorder and then I just downloaded my speech onto YouTube to share with others.
BOB: I read some of the comments on the YouTube video and while some of them were encouraging, some were a little mean and I’m thinking “They don’t even know you”. Thus I decided to contact you.
JODI: Thank you, that is an insightful and respectable approach.
BOB: I take it until recently you were “born” a liberal…?
A Simple Question For TSA
by Bob ParksAccording to www.tsa.gov, it makes no mention of not being able to choose the gender of your screener.
If you must go through additional screening, the screener will direct you from the metal detector to a screening station where he or she will brief you on the next steps.
- Except in extraordinary circumstances, a screener of your gender will conduct your additional screening. You may request that your search be conducted in private.
I dunno. There seems to be some gray area here but I’d personally prefer to be felt up by someone of the opposite sex. If there’s a reaction, consider it a compliment.
Resolution Against YouTube ‘Racism’
by Bob Parks
Using the NAACP’s resolution against Tea Party “racism” as a model, I hereby ask YouTube to repudiate their racist users.
“I take no issue with Google’s YouTube community. I believe in freedom of assembly and people raising their voices in a democracy. What I take issue with is the YouTube’s continued tolerance for bigotry and bigoted statements. The time has come for them to accept the responsibility that comes with influence and make clear there is no place for racism & anti-Semitism, homophobia and other forms of bigotry on their website.”
The following are real comments from YouTube users on the Black & Right channel alone. They have not been Photoshopped and distributed by Think Progress.
The following are a select group of comments from just one of my videos….

Black Conservatives Condemn Mary Frances Berry’s Cynical Comments on Progressive Racial Politics
by Bob ParksIn an interview with Politico, Mary Frances Berry — a former chairman of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights last reappointed by President Bill Clinton — called the progressive tactic of trying to smear the tea party movement as racist an “effective strategy” that she chose not to denounce.

Berry’s cynical remarks are drawing rebukes for members of the Project 21 black leadership network.
“As an active participant in the tea party movement, I know the movement’s motivation is about Obama’s policies and not his race,” said Deneen Borelli, a Project 21. “Race card politics is the last-ditch effort to shift the debate away from President Obama’s harmful policies such as the government’s takeover of health care and his failure to create jobs — both of which are having an impact on his popularity. This diversion may also help Obama to try to jam through cap-and-trade legislation through Congress. It’s a grand distraction from policies and may unfortunately increase racial tensions.”
In an interview posted on the Politico web site, Berry — now the Geraldine R. Segal Professor of American Social Thought and History at the University of Pennsylvania — was asked the question “[W]ill branding the tea party ‘racist’ work?” Berry replied:
Tainting the tea party movement with the charge of racism is proving to be an effective strategy for Democrats. There is no evidence that tea party adherents are any more racist than other Republicans, and indeed many other Americans. But getting them to spend their time purging their ranks and having candidates distance themselves should help Democrats win in November. Having one’s opponent rebut charges of racism is far better than discussing joblessness.
The NAACP Acting Stupidly (Again)
by Bob Parks
I must admit, I didn’t think the NAACP could top the whole Hallmark-card-is-racist fiasco, but never underestimate the power of stupidity. One thing progressives are very good at is using black people and they’ve found some that are willing enough dupes to help facilitate their plan.
The NAACP is expected to approve a resolution at its annual convention condemning the tea party movement for harboring “racist elements that are a threat to our democracy,” a spokeswoman for the civil rights organization said Monday.
Like the ignoramuses in Los Angeles who lost their collective minds over racist mispronunciations of black ‘holes’ versus the ‘whores’ they wanted to hear, the national NAACP believes the Tea Party is racist simply because the Barack Obama they oppose is black; not because they oppose the out-of-control fiscal policies of the second black president and his arrogant party leadership.
While I don’t recall seeing any reports from NAACP members who personally witnessed hearing racist verbiage and/or signs, they are following the White House talking points that the nearly all-white Tea Party is hostile to President Obama purely because of his race. I mention the personal attendance of the NAACP at Tea Parties because I’ve been to both the 9/12 march on D.C. as well as the health care reform rally on Capitol Hill and the only physical assaults I suffered at the hands of rabid, angry white Teabaggers were hugs from people who read my website.
I declined to press charges.
Black Activists Condemn NAACP Resolution Against Tea Party Movement
by Bob ParksAs the NAACP plans to use their group’s prestige to bash the tea party movement, members of the Project 21 black leadership network are urging delegates at the NAACP’s national convention not to turn the NAACP into a pawn for progressive political bosses.

“As a frequent speaker at tea party rallies around the country, I can assure the NAACP that the tea party movement’s concerns are about President Obama’s policies and not his race,” said Project 21 fellow Deneen Borelli. “I’m deeply concerned that the NAACP is being used as a political tool to do the dirty work of the progressive movement. Instead of criticizing tea parties, the NAACP would be better served denouncing the racist comments made by a member of the New Black Panther Party and their voter intimidation outside a Philadelphia polling place in the last presidential election.”
According to a report in the Kansas City Star, the NAACP, which is conducting its 101st annual convention in that city, will take up a resolution as early as Tuesday to urge “all people of good will to repudiate the racism of Tea Parties, and to stand in opposition to its drive to push our country back to the pre-civil rights era.”
Kansas City NAACP chapter president Anita Russell said the tea party movement is “really not about limited government.” The resolution reportedly dwells on “explicitly racist behavior” that relies upon anecdotal posters opposing President Obama and allegations of the use of racial epithets by tea party participants.
Will Kagan Do A Sotomayor on Gun Rights?
by Bob ParksSupreme Court Justice nominee Sonia Sotomayor came off as a 2nd Amendment defender when she was being questioned during her confirmation hearings. She voted the other way when a gun rights case came to The Court.
NOW Congressman Clyburn Cares About Ethics
by Bob Parks
With the South Carolina Democrat Senate nomination going to no-job, no-money, living-at-home-with-mom Alvin Greene, House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-S.C.) is now calling for an investigation, hinting that Greene may even be a ‘Republican plant’.
There were some real shenanigans going on in the South Carolina primary. I don’t know if he was a Republican plant; he was someone’s plant.
While we applaud Congressman Clyburn’s attempt to maintain the integrity of the political process, where the hell was he last week…?
Stung by a series of inquiries, nearly half the members of the Congressional Black Caucus want to scale back the aggressive ethics procedures that Democrats trumpeted after gaining control of Congress.
Rep. Marcia Fudge, D-Ohio, and 19 fellow black lawmakers in the all-Democratic caucus quietly introduced a resolution last week that would restrict the powers of the new independent Office of Congressional Ethics. The office, formed by Congress in 2008, is run by a panel of private citizens.
The message from Clyburn and others seems to be they want clean candidates coming in, who can get as dirty as they want later (and there will be no investigations to worry about).
Sarah Silverman: Let It Go…
by Bob ParksProgressives are so good at weeding out racists in our midst, they feel obligated to share with us the words used. However, should they be called out when they use racial slurs, they lose their minds.
Case in point: Sarah Silverman used a slur and was called on it.
Obama’s Risky ‘Southern Strategy’ II
by Bob ParksWith the latest crisis that can’t go to waste, the Obama Administration is now using the Arizona immigration law to codify the Latino vote against Republicans in an attempt to save the Democrat majority. I guess one could say it’s ironic that the same party that excused its own segregationist past by revising the intent of the ‘Southern Strategy’, has now implemented its own.
It does so at its own peril.
Blacks are not impressed by the law-breaking, self-inflicted adversity suffered by illegal aliens, in fact some are downright hostile. All one need to and look at the make up of South Central Los Angeles, formerly the black community.
It is brown and the Latinos there have been quite public with their intent to drive blacks out. Peacefully by breeding, violent if necessary.
In South Central Los Angeles, only one of the many areas and regions (Washington Times reporter Steve) Miller surveyed, the predominant feeling among those few blacks who remain in the neighborhood is that “They took our homes and our schools,” as one black resident complained. “They,” of course are the Hispanics who have largely displaced the blacks in the area that was the center of the 1992 “Rodney King” riots.
But it’s not just South Central that’s a war zone as a result of mass immigration. The war zone seems to extend all over the country, especially where blacks and Hispanics confront each other.
David Cortez, a 22-year-old immigrant who spent two years in jail for shooting a black, told Mr. Miller, “Just give us three or four years, and we’ll take over. There will be more of us.” Blacks at least, if not the Open Borders lobby, know he’s on to something.
As for blacks, they see no reason to welcome a population that takes their jobs for lower wages and competes with them for political favors from largely white politicians. “Why should we be in coalition with some group that wants to outnumber us?” asks Shannon Frank Reeves, head of the Oakland, Calif., NAACP.
As I’ve been arguing for years, this is what happens when blacks blindly give their support to party that has to be reminded every two years not to take it for granted. Obama Democrats, too, believe they have the black vote locked and now can devote the rest of their time using the usual racebaiting tactics aimed at illegal Latinos.
Today, the question is what will blacks do?
Bullying A Wimpy Generation
by Bob ParksAfter more than a decade of sports with no score kept as not to hurt the feelings of the defeated, the banning of Tag and Dodgeball during recess, “Do Something!” state legislatures are now poised to outlaw bullying because young people are too intimidated by Facebook posts and mean text messages.

In the uproar around the suicides of Ms. Prince, 15, and an 11-year-old boy subjected to harassment in nearby Springfield last year, the Massachusetts legislature stepped up work on an anti-bullying law that is now near passage. The law would require school staff members to report suspected incidents and principals to investigate them. It would also demand that schools teach about the dangers of bullying. Forty-one other states have anti-bullying laws of varying strength.
While what happened to Phoebe Prince was truly tragic, what are today’s youth going to do tomorrow should they be in charge during an international crisis with a taunting, foreign enemy? I’m sorry but dealing with bullies is a part of childhood that develops character. How you deal with it determines what kind of person you’ll be.
While in second grade and attending the Blessed Sacrament School in Cambridge, Massachusetts, I was the target of the school bully (whose name I won’t mention because he may be a nice person now).
I remember it going around one day that he was going to beat me up after school. It was a terrifying experience as the threat loomed.
So, ‘Voicemails Expose Left’s Racism’… Where’s The MSM Been All This Time?
by Bob Parks
When I read Monica Crowley’s piece on Big Government, I must admit to being thoroughly disgusted.
Not because she posted racial-slur laden voicemails sent to Dr. Christopher Metzler, Associate Dean of Continuing Studies at Georgetown University because of his opposition to ObamaCare. No, I am disgusted because for years the mainstream media has invited black conservatives on their radio and television programs to be an opposing voice to the black liberals who are often sought as the voice of black America. We’ve told them (off the record) of the response we normally get after our appearances.
We know what the headlines would read if something were said to annoy Al Sharpton. But it took racist phonecalls to a dean to invoke outrage.
I know many other black conservatives have endured the racial slurs from the left for decades, and the media has never had our backs.
Why Health Care Reform Must Pass
by Bob ParksBefore you ask what kind of self-medication I’ve discovered, let me preface this by reminding people I, among other things, am a political tactician. I lived in dark blue Massachusetts where Democrats not only made sport of standing on the necks of the super-minority Republicans, but attempting to squeeze the remaining life out of them. I know how they think and I know what will happen if health care reform is defeated.

The GOP has the cover of being 100% against this bill, so they are relatively safe come November.
Should health care reform be defeated, Democrats will first blame an out-of-power Republican minority, attempt a few faux mea culpas, tell the American people they “get it” and will hope the majority of Americans forgive-and-forget come November. The primary energy of Democrats will go towards keeping control of the House and Senate.
Let’s be real; if they maintain control, do you really think they won’t have learned the errors of their ways and attempt health care again (with a new “mandate”), this time quicker and more forceful with a fresh two years of pad?
I say let the Democrats have this victory.
Five Offensive Attacks On Conservative Women
by Bob ParksThe MRC’s Culture and Media Institute looked back at what the liberal media had to say about conservative women in 2009 and it wasn’t pretty. Conservative women found themselves the victims of the worst sort of vitriol – including on a particularly disgusting Playboy “hate f—” list that featured 10 prominent conservative women. But even mainstream cable networks and broadcast networks joined in the attack, with MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann comparing Michelle Malkin to a “mashed-up bag of meat with lipstick on it” and comedian Chuck Nice telling a “Today” show panel that Sarah Palin “is like herpes” to the GOP.
Monckton On Climate Hoaxers: ‘Jail The Lot’
by Bob ParksWednesday evening, I had the honor of attending a presentation given by noted ‘climate change’ skeptic Lord Christopher Monckton, sponsored by the Bull Run Republican Women’s Club in Manassas, Virginia.
As I didn’t think it appropriate to ask a long-winded Chris Matthews-type question, I essentially wanted to know (with all the revelations of deliberate fudging of climate data to “prove” global warming is happening) what the legal ramifications on the players could be, considering how many billions of dollars cities, states, businesses, corporations, as well as whole nations have spent going “green”, not to mention the adverse effects on developing nations?
Lord Monckton’s response was direct and to the point: “Jail the lot!”
Ryan: ‘This Bill Is More About Ideology Than Health Care Policy’
by Bob ParksRep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) told Greta on Tuesday night that Obamacare is all about politics and has nothing to do with health care.
“And, I really think it comes down to a political philosophy. And they believe in a political philosophy that is more like a cradle to grave, more of a social welfare state, kind of like you see in Europe versus the American ideal that we’ve known and loved and grown up with. And, so really what this is more about is ideology than health care policy. Because if this was about health care policy we could get a bi-partisan agreement tomorrow. It’s not about health care policy. They are trying to ram it through as fast as they can before their power slips away from them and that’s why they’re trying to create this brand new entitlement which really does have the government takeover 17% of our economy.”
The Youth War On US
by Bob ParksThere was an old English saying, “A mayde schuld be seen, but not herd” which has since morphed into ‘Children should be seen and not heard’. The latter was the world I grew up in, and as one finds as one grows up, there is wisdom in old sayings.

I remember being with my father and his friends as a child, and that saying was the rule, because of course, I had very little to offer an adult conversation. That was then.
I also remember the Bill Clinton/Whitney Houston 80s and 90s. Bill Clinton for coining the phrase “for the children” and Whitney Houston for that sappy song “The Greatest Love Of All’ with what we thought were harmless lyrics….
I believe the children are our are future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Between the two of them, talk about the makings of the big head.
Let me preface the remainder of this column by saying that when I refer to young people, I don’t mean all. Some of them get it. Obviously, most of them don’t.
Comedy Rap Video Slams Obama as O.T.P. (One Term President)
by Bob ParksHuffington Post, CBS News and WorldNetDaily have reported that a new rap group called WOLVERINES! (a reference to the 1984 anti-communist movie Red Dawn) has released a comedy music video called “O.T.P.” which claims Obama is a one term president.
The Left Is Underestimating Opponents Again
by Bob ParksWhen going into any kind of competition, I was taught to respect the abilities of an opponent. To not do so results in things we commonly refer to as “upsets”.

Seeing how a lot of liberals aren’t into sports and have disdain for organized competition, the comments by the website “biasedliberalmedia.com” about the comic book’s mocking of Minnesota congresswoman Michele Bachmann (and conservatives in general) by “award-winning Minneapolis artist and political activist Ken Avidor” make perfect sense.
The little guy with the hat with the teabags hanging from it is a “tea-bagger,” a conservative anti-tax activist — representing hundreds of the same who use tea bags as a symbol of one of the first American anti-tax rebellions, the Boston Tea Party. (These people clearly have no idea what “tea bagging” refers to in sexual slang, or they would be even angrier than they are.) Michele is on record as saying that she “hates” taxes. These days she’s not talking about cutting taxes so much; she tends to talk more about the debt that is caused by the failure to tax. But conservatives still have her down as an anti-tax politician even though she has never successfully lowered anyone’s taxes.
‘These people clearly have no idea what “tea bagging” refers to in sexual slang, or they would be even angrier than they are.’
A clear example of the narcissistic underestimation of their ideological opponents.
