Senator Charles Schumer let loose a very reckless and bombastic tirade against China – his way of diplomatically receiving China’s unelected President Hu.

The message to Hu is “we are fed up with your government’s intransigence on currency manipulation. If you refuse to play by the same rules, we will force you to do so,” Schumer said in a conference call with reporters. [via Instapundit, Points and Figures]

If politicians are so damned fed up, why don’t they stop taking China’s loans?! Schumer, stop borrowing from them if you are so true to your words.

We wonder how this must look to the rest of the world, especially to those that might buy our debt in the future – when China has finally had enough of us.

Put another way, if America loaned trillions of dollars to Russia, and then Russia began lecturing us about monetary manners (just months after having expanded liabilities to proven unsustainable heights), we would openly mock them on our late night shows for being a banana republic.

Put yet another way, could you imagine talking to your credit card company this way? Sure, their rates and their fees are borderline abusive, but if you don’t want the credit card company to revoke your line of credit, you keep it civil. That, or you put your spending habits where your mouth is and you cut up your credit cards.

It’s like our entitlement society has created an entitlement government which is living under the delusion that we are entitled to continued financing by our investors, no matter how we treat them.

Last night, minutes before President Obama spoke, at least one of your Founding Bloggers tweeted the following:

@presidentobama please rise to this moment and be non-political. That would hit a home run 4U. More important, it would help heal the nation

He did just that. He didn’t get political except to repudiate those who have tried to assign blame. He was very presidential and healing in this moment, and despite the fact that we think he is leading a tremendously destructive Democratic-Socialist revolution, it’s still nice to see him do the right thing at the right time. We wish he were always like that….and that he weren’t leading a Democratic-Socialist revolution.

One portion from the President’s comments really stood out from all others, and they are worth highlighting:

And I believe that for all our imperfections, we are full of decency and goodness, and that the forces that divide us are not as strong as those that unite us. (Applause.)

That’s what I believe, in part because that’s what a child like Christina Taylor Green believed. (Applause.)

Imagine — imagine for a moment, here was a young girl who was just becoming aware of our democracy; just beginning to understand the obligations of citizenship; just starting to glimpse the fact that some day she, too, might play a part in shaping her nation’s future. She had been elected to her student council. She saw public service as something exciting and hopeful. She was off to meet her congresswoman, someone she was sure was good and important and might be a role model. She saw all this through the eyes of a child, undimmed by the cynicism or vitriol that we adults all too often just take for granted.

I want to live up to her expectations. (Applause.) I want our democracy to be as good as Christina imagined it. I want America to be as good as she imagined it. (Applause.) All of us -– we should do everything we can to make sure this country lives up to our children’s expectations. (Applause.)

Mr. President, that is sincerely inspirational. This was your finest speech. But speeches tend to be your forte, while your follow-through has been widely criticized.

If Democrats really want to address the issue of “Toxic Politics,” a great place to start would be with what Progressives call the “arrestables.”

What are arrestables and how do they work? What they are is fairly self-explanatory:  arrestables are protesters who are predetermined to be arrested.

Who they are is where it really gets interesting. They are a mix of professional protesters and anarchists, organized largely (but not exclusively) through a working relationship between community organizers like Lisa Fithian of RANT, Susie Benjamin and Jodie Evans of CodePink (major Obama fundraisers), and Bernadine Dohrn of the Weather Underground Terrorist Party (major Obama fundraiser).

How arrestables are used is also fascinating. Progressive protest planners typically hire a band called “Rage Against the Machine” who puts on a hell of an energized show, with popular songs like “Killing in the Name” and “Bullet in the Head.”

After the incredibly amped rebellion-charged show is over, the band and the organizers encourage everyone to take the rage out on to the streets, where they march with or without permit, often (but not always) leading to violent police confrontation and arrest.

That BS at the top about “NON-violent direct action” must not have been on the diagrams they used in 2008 RNC convention in St. Paul  where they rioted in one form or another each day/night they were there. And besides, there is no such creature as a non-violent direct action arrestable. They are a contradiction in terms.

While it is clear that Jared Loughner was less motivated by his leftish leaning ideology than he was by his mental illness, we think that Progressive Democrats are 100% correct when they call for action against factors leading to our toxic political climate.

We are therefore openly calling for public hearings to look into the actions of political agitators in this nation.

Democrats have made it clear that they want to investigate and restrict Fox News, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Andrew Breitbart, and others to be sure. In fact, there are so many conservatives to investigate, we need to come up with a strategy to tackle the work.

We propose that any investigation begin with events that led to criminal behavior, like say the WTO riots in Seattle. Or the RNC riots in St. Paul. Or the angry mob protests that have taken place at the home of Bank of America executives. Or the Kenneth Gladney beating. That should provide a good start.

When would the Progressive Democrats like to schedule these hearings?

What does the Ft. Hood massacre, and Saturday’s Arizona massacre have in common? Almost nothing.

With Ft. Hood, an open islamist gunned down dozens in an attack he all but said he was going to launch, and the best the Left could do was blame America’s love of guns while preaching that we cannot rush to judgment. To this day apologists on the left still will not bring themselves to conclude that Major Hasan was a Jihad terrorist animated by radical Islam.

On the other hand, the blood hasn’t even been mopped up yet in Tucson, and disgusting opportunists on the Left have already declared the Arizona massacre an official act of the Tea Party:

Carol Moseley Braun’s Chicago Mayoral bid is collapsing.

First she said she wouldn’t release her tax return because she “didn’t feel like it.”

Under intense pressure, she flip flopped, and decided to release just a little bit of her tax returns.

Questions erupted, so she released just a little more of her returns.

Drip. Drip. Drip.

Now her campaign is on the verge of imploding under mounting questions about repeatedly late property tax payments and massive business losses.

Chicago Breaking News is reporting this revealing moment:

Braun said she has been transparent about her finances. When reporter questions persisted, a campaign aide put his hand over the reporter’s voice recorder as Braun walked away.

If you are upset about the Orwellian TSA screening procedures in effect in our nation’s airports, too bad.

Our country has gone back to sleep, reverting to a 9/10 military posture vis-à-vis the Jihad being waged against us infidels. How can you tell? Once again, Progressive Americans are treating terrorists as though they are simply criminals who should face justice in a civilian-criminal court of law. When Yemen sends crotch and printer bombs, we send in the FBI. This was the 9/10 (or) Progressive response to the Jihad, which made possible the events of 9/11.

Another example of our return to a 9/10 mindset can be found in our reactions to Islamists declaring Jihad against us. When Osama did it in 1996 (FROM YEMEN), the West yawned. Who was this sandman to declare war on us, we thought. Only we declare war – nobody else has that power or capacity, right? Once again, Jihad has been declared against us, now by the Muslim Brotherhood directly. The West is yawning once more.

When we briefly adopted a 9/12 posture against our Islamist enemies, they were too busy running and hiding and dying, to be planning and launching multiple attempts to blow us out of the sky. Our enemies seem to have all the time and breathing room in the world now though, inspiring the question: What ever could have changed over the past couple of years, leading to this new “normal” of repeated Yemeni-Jihad bomb plots? Oh well, we could wonder for hours and probably never put our finger on it.

Any chance some these Progressive rioters were on the streets of St. Paul in 2008? They sure look an awful lot like them.

By the way, if you are a Progressive American, or a Democrat, you own this riot too. These are your Progressive European brethren, and there is no escaping that fact. If this country continues down the path American Progressives are charting, this is our future.

Illinois blogger, Marathon Pundit, is correctly demanding that EVERY military ballot be counted in the land of Lincoln.

The GOP had a terrific Election Day in the Land of Lincoln, winning a US Senate seat and at least three House seats. In the governor’s race, with 99 percent of precincts counted, incumbent Democrat Pat Quinn leads Republican challenger Bill Brady by 10,000 votes.

As the Democrats repeated ad nauseam is  during the 2000 Florida recount, “We need to count all the votes.”

And that includes all of the military votes.

Not only should ever military ballot be counted, the entire Illinois election should be forensically audited, regardless of outcome. Can you imagine how much fraud would be exposed?

Conservative radio host William Kelly (Kelly Truth Squad AM 560 WIND) recently found himself on the receiving end of mainstream media hostility, as he tried aggressively to interview Rahm Emanuel during Chicago’s Columbus Day Parade.

Chicago Media Icon, Jay Levine of CBS 2, threatened to physically harm Kelly if he didn’t shut up and go away. Levine issued this threat in front of no less than 3 cameras.

Several days later, William Kelly pressed 2nd degree assault charges against Jay Levine.

Our cameras caught up with Levine, and all of the other people involved with this story, to document their reactions to the latest developments.

During last month’s Right Nation gathering just outside of Chicago, Andrew Breitbart found himself confronting a group of angry protesters who had been bussed in by the Democratic Party. Full coverage of that epic protest failure can be found here.

At one point a protester wearing an orange rain parka can be heard casting what she seemed to think was a homophobic aspersion about Breitbart, exclaiming,  “I think he’s gay!”

This person has now been identified by multiple sources as a local Democratic Party official named Sue Walton.

We spoke with Sue Walton by phone to tell her that she had been identified, and to offer her a chance to comment and/or deny that she attended the protest, and/or to deny the accuracy of the quote attributed to her. Walton declined our offer, twice.

So far, Democrat response to this very public outburst has been mute.

Democrat candidate for Congress Dan Seals proudly lists Sue Walton’s endorsement on his campaign website. Multiple requests for comment from the Dan Seals campaign went unanswered, and thus far, the Seals campaign has not removed her endorsement.

Why is it that the Democrats are so careful not to speak in sweeping generalizations about Muslims, Blacks, Hispanics, etc… but when it comes to Conservatives and/or Tea Partiers, Democrats know zero boundaries in their hate speech.

On October 17, 2010, Democrat Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky and her Republican challenger, Joel Pollak, faced off before a largely Jewish audience in Chicago to address Israel-specific foreign policy issues.  After the forum was over, we attempted to ask both candidates a number of questions unrelated to, and indirectly raised during the Candidates’ Forum.  While Mr. Pollak was more than willing to answer our questions, Representative Schakowsky refused to comment.

We attended the 3rd candidates’ forum between Democrat Congresswoman, Jan Schakowsky, and her Republican Challenger, Joel Pollak, in their hotly contested race for Illinois’ 9th district.

There is a lot of content to process, but in the meantime, we bring you these two preview clips.

Below is our full-length report on last Sunday’s Candidates’ Forum with Democrat representative, Jan Schakowsky, and her challenger, Republican Joel Pollak.

As you can see from the video, Jan Schakowsky’s campaign greets our challenging questions on Health Care, Israel, and Ms. Schakowsky’s support for the Democratic Socialists of America, with evasion, derision, and borderline harassment.

Despite the fact that we were attending as credentialed media, the Schakowsky camp insisted that we were “trackers,” out to “get Joel Pollak elected.” While we are admittedly not fans of Representative Schakowsky’s positions on many issues, we were not paid to be there by any campaign or party. As challenging as it is for the Schakowsky camp to accept, we are merely citizen-journalists who are not afraid to ask the questions that the so-called mainstream media have failed to ask – questions such as where in the Constitution does Congress have the authority to force Americans to purchase a product or service? Is it inappropriate for American Progressives to take part in organizing flotillas against Israel, in support of Hamas? Who are the Democratic Socialists of America, and what is Democratic Socialism?

The following video is a preview of our full report on the recent candidates’ forum in Illinois’ 9th congressional district between Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) and her Republican challenger, Joel Pollak.

After the forum concluded, the candidates mingled in the crowd and fielded questions from the attendees. Adam Sharp of sharpelbows.net took the opportunity to ask the Congresswoman exactly where in the Constitution the Congress is given the authority to force American citizens to purchase health insurance. It is a perfectly reasonable question that everyone who voted for Obamacare ought to be prepared to answer. Representative Schakowsky was not ready.
