Whittaker Chambers: The New Deal as Revolution
by Alan SnyderWhittaker Chambers had a secret. He had worked in the American Communist underground for most of the 1930s. His break from that underground had been hazardous; he hid his family for quite some time before surfacing. When he did, his unique writing talent earned him a place at Time magazine, where he eventually rose to be one of its senior editors.

Whittaker Chambers at His Desk at Time Magazine
In 1939, with the outbreak of WWII, Chambers decided he needed to inform the FDR administration of what he knew about those currently working in the underground. Through an intermediary, he obtained an interview with Adolf Berle, the Assistant Secretary of State in charge of security. During his evening with Berle, Chambers disclosed a long list of individuals who could be threats to the country during a war that he sensed the U.S. would eventually have to enter.
Berle seemed alarmed by the revelations. Chambers was relieved that now the truth would come out. Yet when Berle took this information to FDR, he was rudely dismissed—FDR didn’t care.
When Chambers finally realized the administration was apathetic to the traitors in its midst, he had to reassess what he knew of FDR and his policies. In his classic autobiography, Witness, he describes how this rebuff affected him:
And with astonishment I took my first hard look at the New Deal. . . . All the New Dealers I had known were Communists or near-Communists. None of them took the New Deal seriously as an end in itself. They regarded it as an instrument for gaining their own revolutionary ends. I myself thought of the New Deal as a reform movement that, in social and labor legislation, was belatedly bringing the United States abreast of Britain or Scandinavia.
What shocked Chambers was that he recognized for the first time that the New Deal was far more than a reform movement. It was ”a genuine revolution, whose deepest purpose was not simply reform within existing traditions, but a basic change in the social, and, above all, the power relationships within the nation.”
This “revolution” was not taking the same form as the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia, but its effect was just as sinister:
It was not a revolution by violence. It was a revolution by bookkeeping and lawmaking. In so far as it was successful, the power of politics had replaced the power of business. This is the basic power shift of all the revolutions of our time. This shift was the revolution.
Chambers was quite prescient in this analysis. American historians have long noted that in the last half of the nineteenth century, presidents played second fiddle to business leaders. This never sat well with progressives. Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson made strides in the shift to power politics, but they suffered a setback in the 1920s under Harding and Coolidge, who were ingrained with the principles of self-government and sanctity of private property.
Then came the Depression and all the wonders that government could perform to ease the plight of the American people. Chambers saw that even though the New Deal was not an overt socialist/communist ploy, it worked in tandem with that philosophy. New Dealers, most of whom would have never considered themselves either socialists or communists, were, due to their progressive policies, fellow-travelers. As Chambers explains,
Thus men who sincerely abhorred the word Communism, in the pursuit of common ends found that they were unable to distinguish Communists from themselves, except that it was just the Communists who were likely to be most forthright and most dedicated in the common cause.
Critics of Witness often howled at Chambers’s association of liberals with socialists and communists. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about, they cried. Yet Chambers put his own reputation on the line giving his witness before Congress in 1948, as he testified in the landmark Alger Hiss case. He knew, from personal experience, that the difference between liberalism and communism was in degree only: both put their faith in man and rejected faith in God; therefore, they shared a common worldview.

Chambers Testifying before the House Committee on Un-American Activities
Chambers summarized the symbiotic relationship quite nicely:
Every move against the Communists was felt by the liberals as a move against themselves. . . . The Communists were fully aware of their superior tactical position, and knew that they had only to shout their innocence and cry: “Witch hunt!” for the liberals to rally in all innocence to their defense.
Some things don’t change: we are still undergoing a revolution by bookkeeping and lawmaking, and we continue to hear the snarls of “witch hunt” whenever this revolution is challenged. What we need now is the same tenacity shown by Chambers. He completed his “witness.” What will we do?

Hopefuly, we hold together and stay angry enough to truly punish them at the ballot box. If things don't shift sufficiently in November, I'm getting really worried. We now have an administration calling out individual states without sound basis in law (Federal Immigration laws the AZ bill is based on are actually tougher allowing Fed Officials to stop anyone, anywhere and demand proof of citizenship without any prior contact or suspiscion) and this government is even further calling for discriminatory treatment under law to this same state.
We are either a nation of laws or we aren't, and it is increasingly becoming apparent to me that as far as this administration and congress are concerned, laws are only to be used when convenient.
Witness should be read by every thinking American. He posits that man with out God gravitates towards collectivism and totalitarianism. The brutality of forced cohesion is a by product of that transformation-it is only a matter of time. I read this and Solzhenitsyn's "Warning to the West" in tandem. Both were prophetic.
We will continue the good fight, and will push our elected leaders in the Repub party to strongly speak out against what is wrong (and for what is right) at every opportunity. This is not the time to back down- this is the time to call, write, and even meet with our Congressmen and tell them we haven't gone back to sleep- we still want our beloved country back. We also need to vote out the old guard and start fresh as much as possible. Sorry McCain, but you're gone. And take a bunch more with you.
.
We won't do a thing until we are finally tested. As an American generation we've deferred every other payment in life until the bills came finally due. We shall do the same with our hard-won Liberty, I fear.
That's not an assessment of resolve, however. I think we shall surprise ourselves in the trenches of the matter.
.
What will we do? First, Mr. Snyder, we need you to continue to publish articles such as this. I feel that I am back in school (Hillsdale or Southeastern compared to havard) and am receiving an education in subjects that were never offered. The old saying, "Education is Power" is shown to be true to this day. Thank you.
Second, we need to act upon these ideas that you propose. Fight the progressive movement at every turn. I had the pleasure of explaining the Crash of 1920 to a willing listener this week.
Finally, we need to keep our spirits up. Just like after WWII, we know that we can and must turn back the march of the progressives that is happening now. We can turn back the clock.
Thank you again for this excellant article.
Right wing partisans will believe anything a commie tells them, so long as it fits their preconceived ideas. You people are so predictable.
The more astounding difference between that time and now is that liberals openly embrace socialist groups, we even have an open communist elected to the senate. We elected a president whose wife said twice that she was never proud to be an American before he was elected into office!
Let's also remember that it was Henry Wallace who ran as VP with FDR in 1940. Wallace was at the time a steadfast supporter of the USSR and continued to be when he ran as a Progressive party candidate in the 1948 elections. To be fair to Wallace he later admitted his mistakes and even supported the US in Korea and even supported Nixon in 1960 after Wallace had become a staunch anti-Communist. I don't see the present fellow travelers in the WH and Congress and Media as being clear eyed as Chambers and Wallace.
Every day I wake up to the horrific realization that I am not living in the USA anymore! These low-lifes have succeeded in taking over our government and are trying their best to destroy our freedoms! As long as we stay alert and at the ready, they will NOT be able to see their socialists, communists, dreams come true!
"Experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms
of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow
operations, perverted it into tyranny."
Thomas

The sad thing about all of Mr Chambers efforts is that his warnings were not heeded and now there IS a communist in the White House and even more of these vile traitors in Congress.
We have stepped through the door toward the totalitarian state the founding fathers tried to warn us about and the human suffering to follow will be enormous.
We can turn around and walk back through the doorway starting in November but people need to make certain that everyone they know goes to VOTE or America is over.
This is red alert time for liberty in America and if we fail to stand now we will fall forever to this tin horn dictator and his thug pals.
We won't be fooled again!
WE WILL remember in November!
Communism and liberalism has less than six degrees of separation, the only real difference is covertness vs overtness. Libs use flowery names and phrases such as The New Deal and The Great Society to cover their real intent which is collectivism, statism and big government. Ironic that the left can get away with the scam by exploiting the American people's respect and trust for government.
Dejavu all over again. Obama and his Progressive/Socialist acolytes are doing the same thing to our Republic right now. Now some may say the Cloward/Piven strategy (overload the economy to change the system) is a conspiricy fantasy, but we are seeing right before our eyes. Ruin the economy, institute bits of Socialism a little at a time in the form of "needed reform". Sadly, the indoctrination that American students have been subjected to as sunk in, and most people do not relize we are (to paraphrase F.A. Hayak) slouching towards serfdom. They are using lying, setting up false outrages, filling our population with people that are inoculated with socialist/progressive political culture, and are arrogent in their seizure of power. Yet I still have faith in the American people, we have enough real Americans who will only take so much. Hopefully, a political leadership will emerge that will set the course of our Republic on its right path. If not, it is up to us, the PEOPLE (and not in a progressive/socialist sense).
Porgessivism like Liberalism are mental disorders.
The one good thing about Obama and his forcing the birth of a TEA Party Nation is that we can now clearly see the false hope and the dangerous unintended consequences brought upon us by these sick, twisted mental midgets.
This week the Texas School Book Board took the first steps in reclaiming our real heritage and exposing the progressive re-writers of history.
We have decades of social destructive policies to unwind and it will take a while to get it done. Best thing we can do is stay active, stay loud, and stay long
In high school, my English and Social Studies classes were loosely linked for a few years in that we'd read books linked to the era we were discussing. I remember a unit on McCarthy and we read Arthur Miller's "The Crucible" alongside it. "The Crucible" was a play about the Salem witch trials, written during the McCarthy era, and the obvious conclusion was meant to be, "see, communists are no more real than witches". Something never quite sat right about the whole thing with me and a few years later I found out why. Apparently, some years before I was in high school, documents were released proving McCarthy to be incorrect in nothing but for the scope of the communist infiltration. My teachers conveniently left this out…
On a related note, I'm thinking of making a t-shirt with Obama and the rest of the Marxist crew on it saying "McCarthy Was Right". Please, anyone feel free to steal the idea and sell me one.
Since when has the truth been right-wing? The only person that I read on this site that has ridgid , preconceived ideas is yourself. And who is this commie you are talking about?
How about using this opportunity is hone your communication skills and actually engage in a reasonable debate for a change?
I doubt the Left in the Country would have a problem with "a quart of wheat for a day's wage". Isn't that what Social Justice is? Everyone is eventually equally a Poor Slave. "No one is allowed the Blessings or Cursings of God" is their Slogan. "I will be their God and their Yoke will be Heavy".
I hate Tyranny
We are in desperate, desperate need of a Joseph Mc Carthy NOW. The AMERICAN people were behind
Mc Carthy. Knew he was telling the truth. The FDR administration was a Communist cess pool. Congress, the Democrates, the Communists of FDR's administration literally "took the life out of" Mc Carthy but he held his ground and fired away until he could go no further. Let US now hold our ground, get the truth out, and take America back from these degenerate Marxists, Democrates, liberals, Muslim demons.
God Bless America
That school board decision was a bright spot in the day, for sure. Let's hope that more good things will follow. For instance, I hope that a lot of good folks are going to AZ for vacations, business trips, etc. Anything we can do to help is badly needed right now.
While we were guarding the front door the enemy slipped in the back door and now control the country. It is beyond saving the country, now we have to take it back by any means necessary, the ballot box first. If that does not work, then………………………………..any means necessary.
Great article! Unfortunately, the majority of the American people do not know any history and don't even realize what is going on and it's too late to educate them before November or 2012. I think if they knew, they would be horrified. So how to do this? Everytime a story like this is posted, we should copy and paste and post it on all Patriot and tea party sites. Then it will get read by many except for the few of us.
Yes, our country is in peril and even the trolls know it but would never admit it.
Chanbers book, Witness sounds interesting. I wonder what he thought, how he felt when he realized
FDR had blown him off, after he had taken elaborate measures in an effort to warn the President of the
dangers lurking around him?
Won't it be fun if in 10 years we're having Congressional hearings on the OHugo jr Regime. We can
investigate everything from selling NASA secrets to INFINITY.
FIGHT on PATRIOTS ! ! !
Speaking as an AZ resident, while the boycotts do real, quantifiable damage to our economy, I expect we will also see quantifiable economic benefits form the savings we realize by ridding ourselves of the baggage that comes with the illegal immigrants:
lower prison population
lower crime rates
lower unemployment
smaller classrooms
less crowded ER's
fewer traffic accidents / fatalities
fewer police officers killed
lower drug problems
fewer car thefts,
fewer rapes and child molestations
less kidnapping
All in all, a pretty good trade off.
I am proud of our state government!
We did not live through this era. A must read is Ann Coulter's book, "Treason". When you read it you will understand!
Outstanding post.
As a whole (this vast, exponentially greater number of American citizens who would have no other 'constitution' than THE Constitution of our Republic's founding), I believe you are too close to right…
…but the AWAKENING has occurred. WE, THE PEOPLE are not asleep… anymore.
CM Sackett
Why must we wait 10 years. The time for the message of truth is now.
Don't let it bother you, LiO. It's just prickatollah doing what it does best. Being a prick.
Yes, and now Hollywood is full of the communists that McCarthy was outing at the time…history has proven once again that if we don't LEARN form our mistakes, that we WILL repeat them!
You won't answer simple questions. You won't debate. Perfect chance for you to advance your ideas and ideals. But you are afraid to take and use this perfect opportunity. YOU ARE OWNED BY ME YET AGAIN!!! Victory is sweet and I look forward to our next meeting. Oh, and have a nice day.
But you WANT attention, Mik. You crave the attention you get here.
I won't John. Thanks for the reply. I actually enjoy, in a perverse sort of way, using the tools God gave us to point out just what we face in the un-real world. Faith, Reason, Truth, Logic will always prevail.
Have a great weekend.
And always sellout Republicans to go with them, thanks again Scott Brown.
Rand Paul, thanks for getting Rachel Maddow's panties in a wad over private property rights. Even if speaking pro private property rights makes you unelectable with the mainstream voters, it's better than being a Rudy McRomney.
To which he replies with dismissal and personal attack. Asking a blog troll to engage in reasonable debate is apparently like asking a politician to be honest with you
Wow…. what a shallow existence you must lead to get so excited about being ignored. I'm serious about the weight loss thing. Get out and move around a little and you will live longer.
I do get a lot of attention here, you are right about that. So much that I must pick and choose who I respond to… today is your lucky day.
Oh, look, a troll. I love me some troll stew. Kinda like possum only stinkier!
foad, @$$hole. I'd like to see you lose 12 pounds of ugly fat…from your neck.
That is a great analogy! I'm going to steal that for future use.
MY brother lives in Salem. Find him and enlighten him!
And there are millions of us out here who are going to do a "buycott" of Arizona.
I have friends there I will visit, and I will make sure and spend money when I'm there.
Saw Joe Arpayo at a rally for OC (CA) Sheriff candidate Bill Hunt here last month, and he was roundly cheered.
Carry on!
I am an atheist or at least apatheist, but I cheered the Texas School Book Board. We need the better parts of our history put back in our books and our schools. I far, far prefer to live in a nation of Christian ethos than atheist, and the textbooks are goodly part of what drives that.
We've come full circle. It's up to us remaining Americans to finish McCarthy's work or give the whole nation to the travellers.
I'm going to get or make a "Bring Back HUAC" bumper sticker.
Now that's no way for a lady to talk… watch that filthy mouth.
You have had not one rational, reasonable thought , point or idea all day. Come on. How about one comment refuting Dr. Snyder's fantastic article. That's what we are here for.
Read the Fable of the National Socialists and U.S. Army.
Oh wait, that isn't a fable.
Nasty little buggers, those possums. Man, they split, snarl, get up on there hind feet when cornered. Kinda' like a troll, all right. Except for that getting up on their hind legs thing.
Few things get my posts deleted faster than mentioning the ***Fable of the Ducks and Hens.**** Funny how a little story like that gets many people here alarmed….the same ones trying to provoke Muslims with cartoons…..
Just upstream from Bend. If I could find him, I'd give it a shot. There may be hope for him yet. He doesn't live in Portlandistan.
I just cannot decide–are you merely a moby or just a simple-minded skin-head? Usually you sound more like a moby. But now I am swinging to the David Duke (and Senator Byrd) point of view–you are just another skin-head/neo nazi.
Shouldn't you be pushing the "Protocols of the Elders of Zion" as well? And maybe a tad of Holocaust denial?
"the indoctrination that American students have been subjected to has sunk in"
We should probably rethink this idea that students (and kids in general) have been "indoctrinated," Kristine. I'm not just talking semantics here when I say that the younger generations have not been indoctrinated, they have been "un-indoctrinated." That is, they have been largely stripped of any real core beliefs, grounded principles, or foundational education by the "progressive" infiltrators for the purpose of creating a generation of sheep that can be easily led into the "socialist utopia" nightmare.
That part of the younger generation most effected by this effort are best described as "aimless," "fickle," "lost," or "confused." In a word, lemmings. And that is sad.
But if what I'm saying is true; if a generation or two have been so robbed of their individual liberty that they can be led to the slaughter by the jackbooted "progressives," they can also be led back to a place that values their humanity. To a place where they believe in their individual liberty, rather than the collectivist herd. They're hungry for something that is real; a vision of the world that ignites their imaginations, and drives them to pursue their happiness. We can do that for them. All we need is to develop that vision. Communicate it, and institute the kind of leadership that can make it come to pass.
These generations want that better vision, and if we can give it to them, they will turn on a dime away from the "utopian dream," and embrace that real future. The "progressives" have succeeded in creating this blank slate. It's time we started to write the history of our future upon it.
That's not true. We don't believe anything you tell us.
Throughout the 1940s and 1950s America was overwhelmed with concerns about the threat of communism growing in Eastern Europe and China. Capitalizing on those concerns, a young Senator named Joseph McCarthy made a public accusation that more than two hundred “card-carrying” communists had infiltrated the United States government. Though eventually his accusations were proven to be untrue, and he was censured by the Senate for unbecoming conduct, his zealous campaigning ushered in one of the most repressive times in 20th-century American politics.
Looking back now, one would have to say he was correct.
Audit the Fed,

I didn't know mik was actually Michael Moore.
Randy and his ilk are what caused the Holocaust to begin with…
Poor little ideological victim constantly in search of a scapegoat in the most oppressed people in all of human history.
The hate of the early 20th century is starting all over again and Chairman O is the chief purveyor of the new victimology.
Read my entire comment before responding.
What's funny is that the same people who thought it was paranoid at best to worry about Communists and fellow travelers among us are the same people who were certain that the BushCheneyHalliburton cabal was going to ensure that there was never another election. Now they're reduced to blathering about what that evil conspiracy PLANNED to do to us (but didn't actually make any moves in that direction).
The culmination of all the webs woven over the years is the Baby Boomer generation (of which I am one). This generation is the most spoiled, self indulgent, narcissistic bunch of malcontent whiners the world has ever seen.
I believe we will come through this test by fire with a new appreciation of America and a government based on the Constitution. This may sound naive, but I truly believe that truth and righteousness will win in the end.
Notice how they applaud Mexico for sending their poor folks up here (while they make a show of chastising employers for taking advantage of cheap labor). The Dems want a poorer populace to rule over. They want to be more like the Mexican oligarchs. Maybe they imagine themselves doing better at ensuring that everyone has "enough" by their definition, but they will certainly make sure that we don't have "too much."
Chambers was no hero. He was a traitor who traded homosexual favors for government secrets on behalf of the Communists. When he became fearful for his life he found Christianity and said whatever it took to stay out of prison. It worked. He never spent a day in jail and was used as a tool by the right wing to fuel the Communist witch hunts. In the end the only thing we knew for sure was that Chambers was a spy.
The obvious attempt here to rewrite history to justify McCarthyism is not going to work. Well, it won't work anywhere but here.
I'm sorry for this post being 'off topic' but be informed that if you post to any of the FoxNation threads, PLEASE DON'T CLICK ANY OF THE FLY-BY-NIGHT VENDOR'S LINKS—–
Reason being, they (these links) are being directly monitored by a covet agency that might be involved with the White House. I tried to post a warning on all the threads that I could and all my posts were rejected—You ask, WHY?
Please, pass this info on to a friend !
Once again, I'm sorry for the 'off topic'.
Deja Vu All Over Again!! (Even though I wrote this before reading all the comments, Kudos to "KristinefromNYC" for saying it first!)
Four years ago I conceived of a book that would show the current government's (last 45 years) policies (in bureaucratic practice) were essentially committed to the 10 points of the Communist Manifesto were/are being foisted upon unsuspecting Americans' political and cultural scenes. I wanted to write it in anticipation of the 2008 election to warn Americans about what was happening to them. Now more than ever, I believe people will want to hear this message.
Unlike the era of the New (Raw) Deal, due to a much higher level of awareness by the citizenry, the speed of communication and the increased level of information available to the general public; could indeed lead to a phenomenal rebellion by the American Patriot Class, specifically the Tea Party against ALL of the various groups who subscribe to Totalitarian Socialism, or commonly known as Communism/Marxism. Hopefully this rebellion will be peaceful.
Yeah, we're soooo mean to "provoke" Muslims with cartoons. The Muslims, meanwhile, merely "provoke" us with beheadings, "honor" killings, blowing up train stations and nightclubs, rioting, attempting to censor our speech any way they can, forcing businesses to accommodate their weird superstitions, pledging to take over the whole world and make it bow down before their nasty moon god. That's one thing—but cartoons? Oh, the horror . . . . .
Randy, take your racist, Hitler-loving attitude and go to Hayden Lake, Idaho. Oh wait, Richard Butler is dead! May your despicable attitudes and beliefs quickly follow!!
Actually, let me cite the Fable of the Blues Brothers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2EoOZKjAjlk&fe...
International Jews declaring war on Germany after a long history of doing to Germany what they are doing to the US now is what caused the REACTION from Hitler – that reaction was fictionalized in a war-time propaganda myth you refer to as the "Holocaust." It is so unbelievable that they need the LAW for FORCE people to believe it and lock people up who question it. Just look up "Judea declares war on Germany." Imagine the Muslims declared open war on the US…from within the US.
During the last phase of the Cold War, I noticed how people who called themselves liberal or progressive were strangely sympathetic toward tyrannies of the left. After the USSR imploded, they made a show of being on the side of the people who were throwing off their shackles, but pretty quickly they reverted to the position that being anti-Communist was really a worse sin than being in favor of leftist tyranny—because supposedly you meant well if you fell into the latter category.
Those are the people who've got the country in a death grip. For all their fancy degrees, they seem to have some fundamental cognitive defects, unless they really do aspire to by tyrants in the same mould.
Muslims have declared open war on the U.S. from within the U.S.
As for the nonsense about "Judea" declaring war, that is more National Socialist propaganda.
Why aren't you locked up?
McCarthy was right.
Muslims have declared open war on the U.S. from within the U.S.
What International Muslim organization has done so?
What control do they have over our banks and media?
Two words: Tea Party!
As Michael Savage wrote, Liberalism is a Mental Disease.

As I like to say… (can I actually quote myself?)… "We have been infiltrated by commies and the wedge is political correctness." It has been clear for some time that socially (politically correct) limited speech is far more effective than regulating speech when you do not want the truth made known. So let's call it like it is: treason. That is generally punishable by death. Seems like we have accepted lower standards and we now get treasonous bastards sucking at our payroll tax teet in congress and the bureaucracy.
As an aside, Jan Brewer still seems like good POTUS material to me. I base that view solely on her guts for standing up to this Regime, but that's enough for me. In her interview with Greta the other night, she didn't back down one inch from her position. She loves her people, and wants what's best for them. We should all be very proud of her and the state of AZ for doing what's right. Would that the majority of our Repub Congressmen had her convictions, and would actually speak up about them.
Excellent quote! And spot on!
I love dealing with moron National Socialists.
The Muslim Brotherhood and the Wahabbis have declared war on the U.S. from within the U.S. Unfortunately their media tools continually act to deliberately deceive people about these declarations.
They have control over "Sharia finance boards" within banks. They have planted reporters in news organizations. They have purchased a significant stake in News Corp.
Any simple scan of news reports will reveal all of these very simple facts.
That's a great idea! If we stand together, we just might win this thing eventually. I'm still holding my breath, waiting for TX and other states to enact similar legislation. Getting a little blue around the gills now, but still hoping…
Gandhi style protest, and Martian Luther King style of protest's are the only way we will succeed. So far so good.

I see it worked on you…. not surprised.

It is interesting that the Muslim Brotherhood and the Wahabbis are rebuilding their long slumbering WW2 ties with the Nazis again…
History repeats itself through the ideology of victimhood and scapegoats.
The verona transcripts prove you wrong mikatollah.
Chambers info was spot on.
We are becoming a nation of, for, and by the government, which in my view is against the Constitution and the Bill of Rights..
Wow! I believe you're who you say you are after seeing your heavily documented and well supplemented site.
But… could fear have been a motivating factor behind this caveat?
No content Troll
Can someone who was born a British Subject sign a U.S. bill into law?
Hell No!
The denying standing trick to avoid this issue is about to run out and the traitors will be laid bare.
unless they really do aspire to by tyrants in the same mould.
They do. And you're right.
The biggest blacklisting thug in American history is sitting in the people's office at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
We won't be fooled again and God willing we will remove him from office before he is allowed to commit any more traitorous actions against the American people and the people's constitution.
One of my late uncles liberated one of those myths..
He is. His Mom lets him out (on leash) for 30 minutes of 'exercise' most days, but other than that…….
Intimidation and snark do work not on me. You know nothing about me. You do not know who I am or what I have witnessed or what I am currently involved with.

Unless of course he just keeps a bed pan next to him all day and has mommy take it away every time he makes an icky…
Very good point. That makes a lot of sense, and very true about this generation looking for something. My original post meant the generations since the 40s. I find that the starting point where academia started corrupting our youth.
So did my Uncle Paul. That is all he ever said about it.
Not completely accurate.. The higher numbers were based on "security risks" That could (Then) include drunks, homosexuals (GLT), Nazis and Communists. He reported only a hand full of names because they were "reported' and not "proved" to be involved with various risk groups.
No one McCarty ever accused of communist involvement was proven to be just as he claimed.
BTW, the term McCarthyism was first publicly used in a national paper, The Daily Worker.
JFK's dad loved and admired Joe, his sons turned their backs on him after they stuck the knife in his back…
