I Condemn the NAACP: Screaming ‘Racism’ Discredits the Organization

I condemn the NAACP. And, not surprisingly, the NAACP is wrong again — this time on the tea party issue.
Unfortunately, this once-proud organization has transformed into a political wing of the progressives and frequently does the their dirty work. Screaming “RACISTS!” at the tea parties only diminishes and discredits the message of a group that once fought for equality in this country. Now, they seem only concerned with keeping liberals in office.
I’ve been pleased to see tea party leaders cancel speaking engagements with opportunistic politicians with questionable rhetoric in order to keep their message pure. At the same time, they have also invited and included like-minded African-American conservatives in their events. Any free-thinking person will recognize that these are not actions from a racist organization.
The NAACP should know better.

The NAACP has been infiltrated by leftist radicals which is a shame, but being called out like this will show them for who they have become. Fortunately the American public is waking to the lies of the left and realizing the radical agenda that has been thrust upon them. When you have 55% of the folks identifying O with Socialism….well the left has a problem and they are going to Alinsky as much as possible….trouble is it has become so obvious with any thinking American what they are doing….it is backfiring on them.
I am greatly encouraged by the shift in sentiment towards O in the last few weeks. I have all along been waiting for the shift. Only the most radical are still in his pocket and most likely they will stay there….and that is fine with me…because WE ARE AWAKE finally and ready to take this country back to a leaner government.
All this talk of racism belies the facts of my everyday life. I'm white. I go to my local rifle and pistol range to practice and to commiserate with similar thinking individuals on the state of the world. I meet Koreans, Indians, Lebanese, Blacks, and a few I've got no idea where they came from – the one thing we all agree on is "We are Americans, and we love the Bill of Rights." There are no hyphenated citizens at the range and we all work together to maintain the safety of the range and share with each other our knowledge of firearms. I got the biggest kick in the world once teaching an American, who happened to be black, how to shoot. While the reason she had to learn was sad, at least she could count on the common man to help her, someone she never met until that day.
You liberals need to understand the greatest method to reduce bigotry is common purpose – whether it is the defense of life and limb, or the pursuit of profit. When American gather as a group and voluntarily decide on what to do, with reason and morality as our guide, we have no time for racism. Actually, racism screws the whole damned thing up! Why would a soul want to create less customers and more enemies?
The Progressives are leading the democratic party and it's constellation of interest groups off a cliff to destruction. The NAA"Liberal"CP is the latest group of "useful idiots" to get in line for the leap. Wake up people!

I was just reading on Yahoo! (don't ask me why I bother) there is a big uproar that is getting the NAACPs undies in a bundle again over the Tea Party. There is a billboard in Iowa that allegedly compares Obama to Hitler. I thought it was a great billboard, but it's not politically correct and it does not fit the narrative. If the Tea Party was in fact racist, the MSM as well as all the Left-wing blogs would be showing proof of this daily. The fact is all they can show or post is innuendo. No hard facts can prove the claims of the Left.
The NAACP has bitten onto the racism fishing line tossed into the water by the Left and is now making a complete mockery of the group. Perhaps the NAACP needs to consider some new leadership that actually looks before biting rather than the leaders in charge now who bite blindly.

I'd like to know exactly what the NAACP has done in the last 20 years to improve the condition of blacks in America or anywhere else for that matter. It seems to me that they have actively been holding that demographic back and down for the purpose of increasing it's own power and influence as a lobbying group.
Never mind that, as Americans, they should be concerned with the advancement of every American and society as a whole. They are not even living up to their own name! Their mission statement is racist at it's core and it taints everything they say and do. If there IS racism in America today (and there is), they have fostered and nurtured it more than any group I know of. They should be ashamed.
It's backfiring on them,yes,but who is in control of the military now,and what will we see in the near future the military used for? Or will we see a dismantaling of our military,are our troops being demoralized on purpose ? I have a feeling those in power think they have the upperhand now and are willing to go to the next stage of the takedown,they didn't think they would get the resistence from the Teaparty movement so now they have to resort to violence,that my friend is where this is headed,it won't be long.

Look, the NAACP is FORCED to take extreme measures such as this.
We live in a country in which racism is institutionalized. I don't think anyone can or would want to argue that point.
We live in a country in which the struggle of the Civil Rights movement has made great strides. It has worked to eradicate the presence of overt racism.
Problem is, racism is so embedded in our culture and systems, it is often hard to see. Hence, the NAACP is in a position that sometimes is it forced to err on the side of caution.
Maybe some folks in the Tea Party are not racist. But, really, can the NAACP afford to take a chance?
What do you expect? It's a racist organization: NA[Advancement of Colored People] — it's right there in the name, that they want to advance those of one race and not of another. If somebody started the NAAWP, there'd be no end of noise.
They are running out of time….I have no doubt that 8/28 will not go down without incident. But I do know that the true face of the Teaparty will shine through with their non-violent manner….the infiltrators will be glaringly obvious.

Statistically though not Politically Correct, Blacks were being advanced until the 70s came upon them. I have heard that 70% of Black men abandon their children, but maybe that is skewed white data. I understand that there are twice as many Blacks in Jail as whites, but that could be because whites are racist pigs and deliberately convict black defendants. There are lots of all Black Universities but the school dropout rate is higher than any other 'race'. Where I work we have two exclusive all black groups for advancing the black man within our company. I think that maybe Blacks are going backwards because of the NAACP. Whatever happened to just taking the bull by the horns, digging in your heels and making a name for yourself? I noticed there are not a lot of Asians forming groups to knock on white people.
So according to your reasoning Joe, if there is a possibility of ANY organization (left, right, up, down) having racist elements, they should all be condemned by this bastion of positive race relations.

the NAACP is not FORCED to lose sight of common sense. Is racism out there? Sadly yes. It is everywhere and from every race. However, the NAACP does not do their cause justice by jumping on the bandwagon. the Tea Partiers have been accused of being racist since the movement started, however, there is VERY little evidence to support that accusation. It seems that the only evidence is that the Tea Party has made a stand against many of our government's policies.
I don't see the NAACP condemming the New Black Panther's and their rants however, I have yet to hear those types of rants from Tea Party members. I realize that it is hard to see those rants as racism (althought I can't understand why) but they are indeed racism of the most blantent kind.

Mr. Shabazz, welcome to the Bigs. I hope you find the majority of posters here are united in one common goal and that is the protection of our nations’ constitution and all that it holds for the good of ALL of its people, regardless of race, creed, gender or color.
I believe many of us have seen or experienced many examples of their respective local NAACP chapters that have proven they put partisan politics on the local levels before their original mission while muddying the waters to camouflage the obvious. It is only of late that this same agenda has surfaced collectively nation-wide. But it is in no way evident that it is just starting, cause it's been around for a very long time. The NAACP is carrying the torch of the Obama narrative and quite frankly, has shrunk down to the lowest of lows by partnering in kind with the Black Panther (new or old) Party. People of color (other than black) can honestly agree that we do not truly understand what life is like as a black person. I don’t believe any of us admit that we do. But reality is what it is, and whites (especially), since we are the main target, are getting tired of unjustified attacks on our character. Sure we acknowledge there are bigots and racists that are white. No one denies it. But they certainly don’t represent the VAST majority of the white race.
Black leaders have always demanded “dialogue” to break the race barriers. My question is: What type of dialogue do they really want? You can’t have dialogue when the arguments or discussions are stained with the constant accusations of racism and bigotry directed towards the white race. Both words no longer have the impact they did at one time. Used and abused for purely political purposes, true racism (when it does exists) gets lost in all the rhetoric. So, another question comes to mind: Who’s fault is it then?
I appreciate your contributions to the dialogue and hope you remain strong in your goals to bring all races together to keep this country free and under the laws established in our nation’s Constitution.
(A) Tea partiers are not racist. You just want them to be because that's all you have to hang on to.
(B) Black, brown and yellow, green, blue people are allowed equal OPPORTUNITY in America. No one can guarantee equal results, and if a black person fails at something it doesn't mean it was a racist setup.
(c) Most importantly, any organization that can take a Hallmark card about black holes (you know – astronomy…) and say it was about Black Ho's deserves to be put out of its misery.

Glenn Beck nailed this last night with his show on liberation theology and social justice, at least to me it explains why the NAACP seems to have partnered up with the New Black Panther Party (what a joke) in calling tea partiers racists. You've heard Barack Obama say that his "individual salvation depends on collective salvation." What
does that mean? According to liberation theology, it means that salvation and redemption bought by Jesus
comes in the form of political and social "liberation" for minorities from white oppression.

They “CHOSE” to take that stand and there is NO MERIT whatsoever to justify their blatant and obvious “rhetoric” of racist accusations against the Tea Party. It is pure desperation and THAT is the only reason they are doing it. Using the term “forced” is a joke.

I saw that show last night. Great show! His program explaining black liberation theology was mind-blowing. Marxism at its core!
It was proof once and for all that Obama not only believes in and practices Black Liberation Theology, but that he's striving to force it on all of civilization! He effectively said so himself with his "collective salvation" speech. What a demonic concept — that redemption only comes through the collective and that we must submit ourselves to slavery to be able to merit it. Inspired by the Devil himself! Eventually, in order to execute their coercion on all of society, they must begin to ELIMINATE all those who disagree or don't cooperate! Progressive genocide is coming, but we shouldn't be surprised, since progressives loved every dictator and tyrant of the 20th Century, including Hitler, Mussolini, and Stalin.

Until you can look at another from the standpoint of how we are more alike than different, race relations will always be adverse. What race institutions like the NAACP have forgotten is the roll empathy has in change. From empathy comes better race relations. "From many, one." It's more than just a slogan. It is a universal truth. That's why the "salad bowl" definition of American culture is such a failure. We were much better off when we described our culture as a "melting pot."
I was a teenager in the early sixties. I lived in a lily white community. I had no concept of what black people were going through in parts of the country (and it was parts of the country). But what slapped me upside the head was a magazine cover of the Selma march. And a quote from some white hick that went something like, "If you ain't better than a (insert N word here), then who are you better than?" That quote made my blood boil (and believe me, I was a clueless California girl). Empathy. Not sympathy. Empathy.
Tired, old institutions like the NAACP do nothing to promote how we're alike, only how we're different. And the main difference they see is skin color. The main difference I see is thought. And you can't put a color on that.

watchglennbeck.com has been a godsend. About this time last year, I was hearing all over the place how crazy Glenn Beck was and that he was some kind of raving lunatic, so I started checking it out. And yeah, he was kinda wild eyed and crazy and raved a lot, but the main thing I started noticing was that no one would ever say why he was wrong, just that he was over the top. You and the tea partiers have sufficiently condemned the NBP, why do you demand that the NAACP do so? Maybe, the NAACP doesn't feel the need to condemn them because it is so obvious.
Actually, I said there is "very little evidence to support the accusation" of racism in the tea party movement and that is the problem with everyone calling the Tea Party racist. The only "proof" anyone has the the tea party movement are a couple of people "claiming" they heard racial slurs, however, there is not concrete proof of this happening.
Is there racism, yes, did you hear what the NBPP leader said? I would definately call that racism. Do you hear that coming from the Tea Party? Didn't think so.
Oh of course, not you. Of course YOU only care about ability. But not us, and certainly not Tea Party members. We see race, even if we don't know it! How convenient it must be to claim that racism is so institutionalized, so embedded in "our culture" that it can't even be seen. But you are so enlightened and so above it all that you only see ability and not skin color.
Institutional racism may indeed exist, but not in the manner in which you imply. Organizations like the NAACP are claiming an entire group of people are racists, simply because that group is majority white. Making claims without any proof, they slander everyday Americans, not to "err on the side of caution" as you claim, but rather to stir up anger and animosity within their own ranks towards white people. By saying that Tea Partiers are "genetic descendants" of white supremacist groups, the NAACP slanders people like my 68 yr. old mother, who grew up dirt poor in the south and never did anything to hurt anyone. I am sick and tired of being called a racist just because of the color of my skin or where I live or because I don't agree with this president's policies. I'm sick and tired of people claiming that America is a racist country, but applying that label only to whites while ignoring the blatant racism coming from organizations like La Raza, the Black Panther Party, the NAACP, etc. I'm tired of being told "we have a long way to go" when we have a black president, who was elected by people of all colors, the majority of whom were white. I'm tired of being lectured by various members of victim groups about equal rights as I see them working to shape policy that will benefit only those within their group. I'm tired of being made to feel guilty about the failures of others, while being told that my success is due mainly to my skin color. I'm tired of being told that the Tea Parties are racist when we're not the ones claiming that blacks can't "get ahead" without the government's help. And I'm tired of people saying that the we're racists, when the only reason they're saying that is because they can't see past the color of our skin.

The only thing that you could possibly point to is the fact that we oppose his policies, and then claim the only reason we do so it because Barack Obama is black. Actually, he's only half black, because we all remember that his grandmother was a "typical white person." And please don't say that we didn't oppose G.W. Bush, because Bush had an approval rating in the low 30's when he left office, and there are lots of people on the right who did not like many of his policies ranging from the patriot act to the war to TARP to border security and were vocal about it. Maybe, just maybe, we are motivated by the fact that G.W. Bush started this train of big gov't, big spending, & shrinking liberties rolling and Barack Obama has increased it's speed while simultaneously promoting his own new policies that violate the rule of law and the Constitution. Maybe, just maybe, we're concerned that our president's stated goal is to fundamentally transform America, that he is on record lamenting the fact that the Bill of Rights tells the gov't what it can't do, and that the civil rights movement didn't go far enough to address redistribution of wealth. Maybe we're worried that our president admittedly hung out with radicals and Marxists, and sat in a church for 20 yrs listening to his reverend curse America and we wonder how that must have affected his opinion of the country he is now leading. Maybe we're concerned that he is dismissive and condescending towards those who disagree with him, and divisive enough to allow his AG to pursue a civil rights lawsuit against Arizona, while dropping all charges against the Black Panther party. Or maybe we just aren't comfortable with his apologizing for our country and saying that America isn't exceptional.

Oh, no. You're still a racist. Because you must disagree only with the policies that were made by the part of Barack Obama that is black. Sure, sure, that doesn't make any sense, but it doesn't matter. You disagree with him, and it couldn't possibly be for any other reason other than you're a racist. Period.
And Cedra Crenshaw is a Republican, so clearly she is not really black – just like Clarence Thomas, Condi Rice, Thomas Sowell, Michael Steele, etc. aren't really black. So, you're still a racist. 100%. And you probably eat puppies for breakfast while thinking of ways to take money from poor people and make little children fat.
