Kudlow Should Run Against Schumer In November
by Andrew MillerBecause of the resignation of Hillary Clinton from the U S Senate and the subsequent appointment of Kirsten Gillibrand, both of New York’s U.S. Senate seats are on the ballot this fall. While most of the focus has been on a potential dust up between the Junior Senator and former Congressman Harold Ford, Jr., no one has emerged as a potential candidate to oppose Senator Chuck Schumer, who’s campaign coffers contain more than $30 million.
But a candidate might emerge. New York Tea Party leaders are talking up the potential candidacy of CNBC Talking Head and former Reagan Advisor Larry Kudlow. A graduate of the University of Rochester, Kudlow is one of the architects of the Reagan tax-cuts that sparked one of the great economic boom in modern times. Kudlow who also worked for New York Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan, is recognized as a leading anti-tax supply side economist. Kudlow is also know as one of the most effective debaters on the Right.
Kudlow is known to have beaten an addiction to cocaine which almost derailed his career. Kudlow was addicted to coke and he beat it, Schumer is addicted to special interest campaign contribution and that’s a bigger problem today. Kudlow is the kind of candidate who could raise tea party money across America . Kudlow could also command the Republican and Conservative nominations and might even be able to petition his way on the ballot as the Libertarian party nominee.
Kudlow was mentioned as a possible candidate against Chris Dodd last year. Kudlow owns a home in Connecticut.
Chuck Schumer is a corporate whore who was whole-hog for the expansion of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae and is as responsible for the sub-prime mortgage crisis as anyone in America. Now he has crowned himself the King of New York, deciding who can and cannot run for public office. More and more New Yorkers are fed up with this self-serving schmuck.

i just voted brown in ma i am fed up so are most people here im unenrolled independat thinker almost every unerolled is for brown more than 2/3 they are even reporting 13% of registered dems are voting for brown in mass! people here are fed up and hell has frozen over her in mass! i coulnd't sleep most of night i couldn't wait to get to polls 5 mins after they opened i feel empowered an i know for once in my life (2 times actually) my vote is gonna actually count! also the mayor in lynn ma i voted for won by 27 votes this year its the first year ever my vote conted for sure!

I totally agree. Kudlow would be a great choice to run and he has great bona-fides. He has articulated persuasive positions on the Federal Reserve and fiscal policy all this year and his show is about the only one I can watch on CNBC where he brings in people from both sides of the isle to destroy the destructive Keynesian and Monetarist nonsense.

Kudlow would be great. I've been trying to figure out who could win a statewide election here in liberal NY now that Rudy and Pete King have said they're out. Kudlow would be a good alternative. Here's hoping he's willing to put himself through the ringer. Can't say I'd blame him if he takes a pass.
YES! After Brown, no Democratic seat is safe especially court jester Schumer. The next steps include recruiting strong and articulate canidates who are able provide a better alternative than the destructive programs being force down our thoats by the arrogant and greedy left.
What a sweet success if Kudlow could, (and would), defeat the elitist known as Chuck FU Schumer. I'd support Kudlow. Heck, to be honest, I'd support a pineapple if it was running against Upchuck Schumer. I HATE Schumer. And I avoid saying I hate people whenever possible- Schumer is true scum and has to be thrown out with the rest of the garbage.
Count on the Dems to harp on the drug issue- they hate it when people face their addictions and beat them. They'd rather people stay addicted and pliable.
I have been a fan of Kudlow for years, and it would be great to have his ideas and philosophy spread via a high profile political campaign.

I can't believe that all these people who could take this seat (Guiliani, Peter King) keep refusing to run? I don't know if Kudlow could win (in fact, I didn't even know he could run because I thought he lived in Connecticut — they were talking about him running against Dodd), but I would certain support him.
We all know from Clinton in 2000 that living in the state of NY prior to being on the ballot is apparently not a requirement.
Besides, they said he owned a house in CT; he probably has an apartment/brownstone in NYC as well.

That's true. In fact, Ford ran for Senate in Tennessee recently, and now he's going to challenge whatever the heck her name is for the other Senate seat in New York.
I'm just a regular schmo like most of you – what annoys me is why an awful lot of telegenic people who are 75% on our side don't run for office; and then they turn to us on the idiot box and ask us why this is happening. Kudlow as well as many others should run. When they win they should streamline and eliminate the tax codes complication, on page will do fine, and all the rest . . .

Great idea! I believe he is also very involved with The Club for Growth (maybe on the board?), which is my go-to source for free-market candidate information. Kudlow is media-savvy, passionate in his defense of capitalism, a great speaker and, unlike Schumer, hasn't spent his entire career sucking the life out of American taxpayers and our Constitution. I am in Washington too Randy12. I am not hopeful for Washington to make a change but am going to hit the pavement this year against Patty Murray. She is about as dumb as Coakley as you well know. I will not discount the momentum that we are seeing could carry over into Washington because I believe in miracles, but have doubts it will happen.
I would offer that NO seat is safe, Democrat or Republican held.

My gosh, if it can happen in Mass it can happen here. There is electricity in the air across this country. We have watched this insidious progressive cancer spread but felt isolated, but now connected as never before. I would have thought it would take a miracle for me and my wife to travel to DC to protest (of all things) but there we were. It was a virtual conservative Woodstock. I want to be able to tell my grandkids that grandma and grandpa were at the last "virtual conservative Woodstock" (love your description by the way) for their sake. So they can live in liberty like their mom's and dad's did, I want them to know we did everything we could to stop progressivism from taking over this country of exceptionalism. Why support Kudlow? He's most likely going to be exactly the same sort of frontman for Big Wall Street/ Big Government cronyism as Schumer. I met Larry at a Pro-Life fundraiser. He had an amazing story to tell and I believe he is a Christian convert. I hope he decides to run. Schumer is up in 2010 not 2012. So is Rangel, Barney Frank, Pelosi, Reid, Murtha, Feinstein and Boxer. I don't know if we'll repeat 1994 but we do need to get rid of Obama's minions.
