Media Fraud – Just A Cup Of Coffee My Ass

The following clip is only 2 minutes long, so watch all of it, and then look at the images below to understand why this video is nothing short of media prostitution for their progressive cause.
This report attempts to paint a picture of a moderate, open minded movement in the process of conducting early, friendly gatherings.
:25 – Brewing yes, but steamed? Well, not if they can help it.
:45 – Leaders of this group say civility is their first priority
:55 – We’re not looking to balance extremes. When we sit down for a cup of coffee, we’re not at each other’s throats.
1:37 – Organizers say they are just volunteers, and invite those with different opinions to join their effort to swallow their pride in the interest of progress.
1:44 – [Organizer] I don’t particularly think it is useful to sit at a table with only people who see things the way I do.
But context is everything, and this report ignores some glaring facts which betray the lies being pushed in this story.
The reporter doesn’t bother to identify it, but the meeting took place in a coffee shop called Mokabe’s. More than one of your Founding Bloggers has been in this establishment more than once. And while the coffee is very good, and they still believe in the freedom of adults to smoke indoors, it is by far one of the most politicized eating establishments we have ever seen.
:44 seconds into the clip, you will see the iconic Barack Obama image hanging on the wall in the background. That’s tame for this establishment.
Below are a couple of snapshots of some of the other political paraphernalia on display, which provide the proper context for the claims of open mindedness being made by the organizers of this event, and parroted by their mainstream lackeys.
Boy, nothing says political inclusiveness like a Cheney/Satan bumper sticker (pictured above).
Either all of this crap was taken down before the meeting, or the “reporter” who covered this PR firm packaged media opportunity has a bit of a political blind spot.
They might as well have conducted this meeting in an SEIU meeting hall, or DNC headquarters.

The progressives, especially on the left, are throwing everything at the wall to see if it sticks. First they tried to ignore the Liberty movement. Then they attacked and demonized it as astroturf and fringe. When it didn't fizzle as a result, they are now trying to fake agreement and mimic.
Gotta love folks who want to claim to defend smoking indoors on private property and then support Obama. I guess they thought if they paid more in taxes on smokes to the messiah they might be able to gain permission from almighty government.
All the health care drama will die down soon, as cap and trade did, and then there will be a pointed effort at illegal immigration. The race card is the only trick left to play and that is how the hard left thinks they will avoid what is coming this fall. That will fail just as badly as everything else Obama and crew have tried.

If tea party people just sat down with other tea party people, there would be civility, too. The problem is tea partiers actually try to get something done, and when dealing with a negative image portrayed by the media, and a WH that won't listen, sometimes they have to yell to be heard.
As I pointed out in my post about their lack of civil comments (and my list continues to grow) every time they are confronted by an opponent, they attack, insult and/or tell them to get lost/leave the group. There is also infighting when people disagree.
Like I said, sitting down with like minded people breeds civility…it's when you have to confront causes with which you disagree that things get touchy. Good luck to them. ha!

You are a moron. Learn the difference between payroll taxes and income taxes. And the "rebate" wasn't taxed you imbecile. And it was a tax credit. $400 for individuals and $800 for couples directly subtracted from one's tax liability.

Great post! As a former video editor, I always remind friends and family of the power of the editing room. Just by clipping off a few frames here and there, an entire story can be told with a different slant. This "coffee party" story is a perfect example. But the digital age, via the web, allows us to hold them accountable…keep up the great work!

I attended a tea party and I don't recall seeing a single glass of tea there, I do however recall a lot of Taxed Enough Already (TEA) people there!!! I'm a 55 y.o. suburban, small business owner. I can't get an insurance company to write me a policy. When I worked for a company, and made a claim, the insurance company refused to pay for more than 15% of it. I'm one illness or accident away from losing absolutely everything I've worked hard for since the 70's.
And the only answer people like you and the teabaggers offer me is, "Make More Money, Loser!" or "Get The Government Out of Health Care and that Will Solve Everything."
If you want to be taken seriously, tell me how a man my age, with a "pre-existing condition", can get health care and not risk going bankrupt. Any answers?
