Liberal Hypocrisy On Display In Berkeley As Student Defends Riots Against Education Immigration

What’s so interesting about this interview is that during two separate moments, the student representative displays an astounding level of liberal-Progressive hypocrisy.
We have taken the liberty of transcribing these two sections below.
Moment number 1 – (2:00)
HOST: Describe to me what exactly what you guys are going through that just absolutely causes this outrage.
STUDENT: Absolutely. Well um in the fall the UC regents voted in a %32 fee increase to over 10000 a year for in-state tuition. This at a time that they are cutting classes, letting in fewer student from in-state and more students from out of state. Um, so effectively we are closing off the campus, making it less accessible to people, and those who are here are getting less out of their education.
That complaint doesn’t sound too immigrant friendly. Is she saying that Berkeley students only want immigrants from other states and countries just as long as they go to private schools?
Moment number 2 – (3:45)
HOST: Do you have to necessarily resort to violence? I mean in some way your message that you’re trying to send to the regents to an audience out there kinda gets tarnished by the fact that violence has now erupted out.
STUDENT: Well, I think that uh, nobody planned what happened uh early morning on Friday. That that something like that just isn’t even something that becomes planned. But that anger erupts when this situation has been building so long, that that’s what happens. I would really back away from trying to seperate good protesters from bad protesters. It really divides the movement. and um it hurts us trying to get to our final goals.
Just so we have this straight. Tea Partiers peacefully rallying in support of smaller government…those are Nazi racist bigots.
Progressive liberals rioting in the streets of California…that’s acceptable, and shouldn’t be used to paint the whole movement in a negative light.

This is the reason why America is in such chaos today!! We have these radicals, raised by their radical parents creating violence in the name of justice…when in reality it's violence in the realm of taking over the education system!! Isn't is against the law to instigate violence and chaos in America? Where is the law…oh, that's right, the chief justice Holder is one of THEM!!!!
If the Berkeley administration had any fortitude they would have as many of the protesters arrested as possible and kick each and every one of them out with no chance of returning. But we are talking about Berkeley so nothing will happen to these idiots. Pathetic.

They have learned well from the standpoint of "bringing down the system". Madison, WI will be next, trust me. Here in this state tutition rates are much lower for those coming from the Gopher State and the illegals get subsidies. My kid worked her way through Madtown U with some assistance from her OleMan……that seems to be a forgotten theme these days.

Government backed low interest loans are at the root of the problem, as well as the fairly recent notion that everyone has to get a college education to succeed (myth and very overrated).
Most people do not have a college education, and many that get a degree study something like underwater basket weaving and leave college with nothing but a mountain of debt.
The process of trying to send everyone to college is a program to perpetuate those in the business of college, more customers, more money, and for many it is not a good career path or they are persuaded to study something like history etc., while a good subject, it should be learned on its own. Career oriented programs such as nursing or engineering are actually practical.
Hmmm…maybe there’s a lesson in this for coming Tea Party gatherings?
To shut them up, California and subsequently the taxpayer will pony up, when in reality they need to be spanked and sent to their rooms.

If Berkley closes, where will our next generation of "Climatologists", ACLU lawyers, and future community organizers come from? Truth is that these kids really have nothing to worry about because Obama is going to give them all 'green' jobs. If they are willing to join a union they can look forward to a future learning how to properly blow insulation into the walls of foreclosed homes. And the really smart ones can get upgraded to become 'caulkers'. This alone should save our economy literally hundreds of dollars.

Before California became a beggar state, a couple of generations ago, college for residents of California was free. How's that progressivism working out for ya?
We all suffer from this recession but there is a silver lining. Much like what happens when the tide goes out (recedes) we can become aware of the dangerous rocks that were hidden beneath the waves. So too like our recession it makes painfully apparent the fraud, waste and abuse that is hidden under the waves of the frothy economy. These are times when we can step back and take stock of those things that are truely important and to fix those things that have insanely gone awry.
If we do not take advantage of this opportunity to right the wrongs before the economy, invariably and inevitably fixes itself, we will have lost a golden learning opportunity.
Put California into recievership, allowing some red state custodians to restore common sense.
Put closed circuit TVs in all of the College Classrooms, to prevent the Liberal teachers from brainwashing our kids while WE pay the Tuition for it. $$
Watch how many marxist teachers jump ship and join community organizing groups, acorn, or fannie and freddie, where their Re-distribution of Wealth Socialist obsessions can be used.

This dear students is called cause and effect. When your govt wastes money on pet projects and out of control spending without any responsibility or accountability, you lose. Teachers, nurses, state parks and yes education are affected. You see it's easier to cut things than to actually own your mistakes and take responibilty for your actions. So why don't you students do some research on how your school system got into this mess and propose a thesis on a way to fix the problem. Although I know it is totally way more fun to break things and paint your face, show your anger, arrgghhhh! I apologize for my condescension, this makes me angry when people have knee jerk reactions instead of taking the time to find some truth.

How is it that people just do not understand that nothing is "FREE". Your education – if you're not paying for it someone else is! When I graduated from high school I started working full time. I had no one to pay for my education. I lived at home and PAID RENT EVERY MONTH. I did not have a car until I could afford to PAY FOR IT. At 25, I went back to school part-time, WORKING FULL TIME AND PAYING MY OWN WAY. I will admit that I was bothered by the number of single mothers in school who were getting housing, day care, food stamps and education paid for. The lack of values and morals in our society have produced MANY INDIVIDUALS WHO FEEL
THEY ARE ENTITLED TO WHAT OTHERS HAVE AT SOMEONE ELSE'S EXPENSE.

Second, if government is so outraged at an insurance company attempting to raise rates by 39%, then where is the like outrage at the university raising tuition by 32%? Oh, thats right. They seem to think there is some foreign tyranical entity overseeing the pay hikes, when in reality, they voted for 5 years of welfare, strong unfettered teachers unions with massive pensions that have to be paid for. Well this is their first real class in economics. If you want to be on the govt. dime…..the govt. gives and govt. takes away.

It took me like 6 years to make it through college. Mostly because I had to work to pay for it. Wasn't given a free ride and I can see by this Berkeley student that being given a free ride is a BAD thing. After hearing this moron, I'm thinking a college degree isn't a right for everyone, but something you earn instead. I don't see these kids earning anything but a peice of paper that will get them a job waiting tables.

The true hypocricy goes much farther than all that. Tuition hikes effectively are the equivilent to Tax increases on the student population. These students are just missing the big picture here. They are the types that howl for government tax hikes in times such as these and when these "taxes or fees" are leveled against them they cry foul and riot.
Hopefully some of these usefull (more like useless) idiots will see the error in thier reasoning and come to the light of lower taxes and less government. Just to be fair, I don't see that "in-state vs. out-of-state" complaint as hypocritical because it's somehow "anti-immigrant." When leftists speak of "immigrants," they typically mean people who slipped into the state from south of the border, and they think such "immigrants" should get in-state fee rates whereas citizens who are residents of other states should pay more. I think that's outrageous–but it doesn't really contradict the point she's making, which does perhaps have some merit:
The state universities were established with taxes extracted from state residents and are intended first of all to benefit state residents, usually via their offspring. If the universities are unfairly squeezing out state residents so they can get the higher tuition from residents of other states, that is objectionable.

Aww, let the little minx graduate with her PHD. I'm sure she'll find fullfillness at her new job at Starbucks. The fiscal reality is setting in now and the layoffs in academia are just starting. With Obama shuttling all the money to healthcare and benefit extensions there isn't anything left over for the schools no matter how much the teacher unions complain. You have to wonder whether the video of this girl being so obviously anti immigrant (at least as far as it affects her) will follow her around during her career. God I love the left's hypocrisy.

Let me get this right, she doesn't want out of state student going to here school because why?
They effectively lower the price of tuition to the residents students. Simple economics. Out of state student pay much higher tuition rates for the same services, effectively subsidizing the resident students education; but she wants fewer out of state students, which will drive up the tuition rates for resident students.
