I really hate to give Obama a new idea but in the near future there will be a call for getting in touch with the Tea Party Movement. They will probably have a panel of the Sushi & Gucci crowd and determine the us Tea Party members are very scary. You know that clinging to guns and Bibles is really scary! By this time Obama will have moved all the GITMO detainees to a Marriott overlooking the site of the World Trade Center, while they will await trial.
Then Obama will say he wants to meet with the Tea Party movement at GITMO. Then he will leave the Tea Party leaders there.
We need to get the message to everyone Cut the Federal Budget and start closing departments. The ones that have failed, education, energy, Dept. of Human Services, Homeland Security (who just issued a report saying we rely too much on foreign oil, man the good stuff keeps on coming, no one suggeste we drill more of our own oil!) the fereral reserve and all the other failing parts of our government.
You really need to look at the U-6 unemployment numbers 17 to 18&!!!! This is the real number of PO'ed people and growing.

So let me see how his agenda is "pro-business":
1. Obamacare-mandates on all businesses, 8% payroll tax on most businesses, massive regulation of the insurance industry and massive new taxes on medical devices.
2. Cap and Tax-massive increase in energy prices, increased taxes on energy related businesses, massive tax payer funding of fraudulent "green" technology.
3. Card check-unions are great for business and jobs, just ask the airline and auto industries.
4. Massive Budget deficits redistributing wealth from productive businesses and individuals to hire thousands more people for the Justice Dept, EPA, et al. Debt also sucks up available credit from the free market, hence no loans.
5. Totally screwed bond holders of GM and Chrysler to hand over control of these companys to the unions.
6. Proposes additional taxes and fees on "large" banks, whether or not they took TARP or paid it back with interest. Gee, I wonder who will pay for this?
Yep, this a-hole is all about business, free enterprise, and free market commerce.

the "tea party movement" won't address the one issue that possibly could oust Obama now if they actually wanted to follow the constitution as they say. Obama is not constitutionally eligible to be president because not only was he not born in this country, he may not even be a citizen…He has never produced a long-form certificate of birth because he can't…He wouldn't even be able to pass a security check to be able to be in the secret service. His father was Kenyan citizen at the time of Obama's birth which makes Obama a non-natural-born citizen even if they managed to manufacture a birth certificate….I'm sure they have one aging now…If he can be elected by unscrupulous means, which he was, he has the means to manufacture a birth certificate….The tea party movement is a big joke….

Forget the race card and the BS name calling and all the other. That is what they want. From now on WE set the rules-WE call the shots-WE are in charge-WE frame the argument-from now on.
I agree, the Tea Party should cling it's decentralized nature and not attempt to become a 3rd party, I think that would be a disaster in the long run. We need it to avoid becoming homogenized, and we need to make sure that the enemies of liberty have to keep guessing. A moving target is hard to hit, and crystalizing a platform only opens the door for focussed opposition.
It doesn't really matter if they hear us or not, in fact it bodes well the farther into the fray we plunge, without presenting a clear target, that they dismiss, deride and do their level best to ignore us.
It's like the ACORN people say, I AM ACORN.

I spent some time today reading the comments on an article about Sarah Palin on Huffington Post. Man, the libs must be really, and I mean really nervous with this Tea Party convention. You have never read such vile, vulgar, condescending, ugly attacks in your life. They are scared, that is for sure. Alinsky would have been proud, the ridicule flowed faster than a sewer in the cholera ward! The interesting thing is that it no longer has any effect on me or so many of the right. Why can't you people understand that there is no court that will require him to produce his real birth certificate. If you want him removed for not meeting qualifications (as I do) this can only be accomplished by retaking the House. Only the House has the power and responsibility to verify the qualifications of the elected president. Only support candidates who will require the production of his real BC. Fighting this your way is as effective as launching the D-day invasion by making the Army swim there from New York. Play it smart or lose to the Progressives again and again. This is no longer a country under "The Rule of Law", and will never be again until we retake the House and Senate.
In November every seat that comes up for election will be filled. Some of the races will come down to a clear cut choice between small government, constitutional candidates, and big government socialists. Some will not. I am a huge supporter of the Tea Party and of the concept of “We the people…” I believe that this is greatest country on Earth, and I believe in the vision of the Founding Fathers. However, I am also a pragmatist. While I believe that we should always support those candidates that represent these principles, I also know that in many races we will be faced with “a lesser of two evils” situation. I hope that as the Tea Party movement goes forward, and we look to change the course of our bloated, corrupt Federal Government, that we do not forget that November is only the BEGINNING. I much rather have a Lindsey Graham in office than a Nancy Pelosi. If we can get a Jim DeMint, Michelle Bauchman or Mike Pence, or a Marco Rubio then even better.

That's how I feel. We need both the Dems and Repubs but need to get the Progressives out of office. There are 81 of them listed in the Progressive caucas. Of the 20 comittees that write laws, 11 are Progressives. Which explains the standstill in DC. They should be noted now so they can't run and hide later. And in 2012 WE THE PEOPLE will get rid of THEIR leader.

For the Tea Party movement to be effective, it must operate similar to Al Qeda, or however you spell it. Wait, before you jump all over me hear me out. I am talking only about the loose structure and common goal, certainly not any violence. The reason the US is having such a difficult time in defeating this enemy is that it lacks a lot of central organization yet it is very focused on it's goal. I don't think it will go away even if Bin Laden was taken out. The Tea Party movement must also remain very focused on it's goal and keep those goals to a minimum for now. This is the only way to have an impact without a pronounced leader or centralized organization. Too many agendas will fragment the local groups rendering the movement ineffective on a national level.
It may not be necessary for the Tea Party folks to ever become a national power broker anyway. We can't forget the old adage that "all politics are local" because it is still true. Senators and Congressmen are elected from local districts. The key will be staying focused on just a few goals so influences from outside a local district can't come in to disrupt the unity that can achieve political victories.

The Tea Party Movement is NOT a joke, that is a fact. I agree with Hanzo on the topic of the birth certificate. It is in the hands of the courts at this point. If we can change the Congress, we can stop the progressive movement attempting to change our country (including our Surpreme Court Justices). Everyone needs to focus, focus, focus on getting new patriots to step up and take on the HUGE challenge we face today to fight the progressive movement.

Founding father Madison wanted the word "Democracy" excluded from our Constitution because he had enough foresight to see how it could lead to the end of our Republic! My point is that there have been attempts by our Federal Government right from the beginning to take away both individual freedoms and state rights! Now, following Wilson and "Teddy" has come FDR, Johnson, and now Obama, which will complete the progressive agenda to totally take away individual freedoms and state rights!
Right now, America is so fragile economically that we are actually being "black mailed" by the progressives/marxist to either be allowed to take over our country or they will economically collapse us! This is why Obama is the perfect candidate to undertake this progressive (Marxist) agenda at this time! I would love to be wrong, but I'll probably find out that I'm right as early as November of this year! After all, I'm just reporting past and present American history.

She could not have her staff deal with the ethics lawsuit because they were all (except her husband and kids) state employees, and using them to deal with the ethics suits would have been cause for another ethics suit.
The law existing at the time did not allow her to recover the costs of defending herself from the suits from anyone, every penny was a dead loss, not a temporary loss.
The Rep Party must join us not the other way around. They must change their philosophy, not their party. Those who cannot or will not change philosophies must be shown the door, pronto.

Is it just me, or are others of you hearing from the messiah-voters themselves how "disappointed" their are in their choice? I had a repairman over to fix something yesterday, and he started talking politics. He said he is horribly upset that "someone he trusted" (the messiah) has turned out to be so bad for the country. I said thankfully I didn't put that freak in office. I am hearing that from more and more people who put him in office that they are disgusted. And this is from both independents and dems.

Republican politicians on Thursday called for a sweeping new federal law that would require all Internet providers and operators of millions of Wi-Fi access points, even hotels, local coffee shops, and home users, to keep records about users for two years to aid police investigations.
The legislation, which echoes a measure proposed by one of their Democratic colleagues three years ago, would impose unprecedented data retention requirements on a broad swath of Internet access providers and is certain to draw fire from businesses and privacy advocates.
"While the Internet has generated many positive changes in the way we communicate and do business, its limitless nature offers anonymity that has opened the door to criminals looking to harm innocent children," U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, a Texas Republican, said at a press conference on Thursday. "Keeping our children safe requires cooperation on the local, state, federal, and family level."
Joining Cornyn was Texas Rep. Lamar Smith, the senior Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, and Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott, who said such a measure would let "law enforcement stay ahead of the criminals."
Two bills have been introduced so far–S.436 in the Senate and H.R.1076 in the House. Each of the companion bills is titled "Internet Stopping Adults Facilitating the Exploitation of Today's Youth Act," or Internet Safety Act.
Each contains the same language: "A provider of an electronic communication service or remote computing service shall retain for a period of at least two years all records or other information pertaining to the identity of a user of a temporarily assigned network address the service assigns to that user."
Translated, the Internet Safety Act applies not just to AT&T, Comcast, Verizon, and so on–but also to the tens of millions of homes with Wi-Fi access points or wired routers that use the standard method of dynamically assigning temporary addresses. (That method is called Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol, or DHCP.)
"Everyone has to keep such information," says Albert Gidari, a partner at the Perkins Coie law firm in Seattle who specializes in this area of electronic privacy law.
The legal definition of electronic communication service is "any service which provides to users thereof the ability to send or receive wire or electronic communications." The U.S. Justice Department's position is that any service "that provides others with means of communicating electronically" qualifies.
That sweeps in not just public Wi-Fi access points, but password-protected ones too, and applies to individuals, small businesses, large corporations, libraries, schools, universities, and even government agencies. Voice over IP services may be covered too.
Under the Internet Safety Act, all of those would have to keep logs for at least two years. It "covers every employer that uses DHCP for its network," Gidari said. "It covers Aircell on airplanes–those little pico cells will have to store a lot of data for those in-the-air Internet users."
In the Bush administration, Attorney General Alberto Gonzales had called for a very similar proposal, saying that subscriber information and network data should be logged for two years.
