Eye (Don’t) Witness News – The Lech Walesa Story

Who he endorsed doesn’t matter. The fact that he is here endorsing anyone at all should be considered newsworthy.
Unfortunately for Chicago residents, and the Polish community specifically, if you get your news from the city’s local television stations, you might not have even known that he was in town, let alone that he attended a Tea Party, and endorsed Adam Andrzejewski for governor.
Could this media blackout have anything to do with a political bias in the news room?

Lech Walesa is a hero, and a Patriot of his Country. He put his life on the line for his people. Under the iron fist of Communism, many people wound up dead for far less. Furthermore, Lech Walesa is a true, certified, Nobel Peace Prize winner. The problem is, he EARNED his.
Welcom to America Mr. Walesa. Land of the free, home of the naive.
If Jimmah Carter or Algore made an unscheduled trip to the toilet, it would be plastered all over the front page (take that any way you like. lol). Let a real heroic figure like Walesa fly half way around the world to endorse a relatively unknown conservative candidate, and the noise of crickets becomes deafening.
I think the jury is in on the LSM. They are definitely in the bag for the radical left. And these same idiots wonder why Fox is crushing their skulls in the ratings!
I posted something about this yesterday elsewhere in response to an article on the growing possibilities of electing conservatives in IL. The article never mentioned Andrzejewski, let alone Walesa! When I spoke with my younger sister (a lawyer who has lived in Chicago for the last half a decade) as well as another highly educated friend (who I met during a trip to CPAC in my college days) about my shock that we are not hearing more about Lech Walesa's first endorsement of an American politician, they both responded, "Who is that?" Very very sad. If we don't learn from history, we are bound to repeat it.

Lech Walesa is a brave true hero of liberty. My awareness of world affairs started around the time he championed freedom for the Polish people. He has been an inspiration to millions.
The media is not only in the gutter, it's on the way down the storm drain. For the news not to report on his presence, let alone his endorsement, is shameful !
I'm sure if some lame-brained movie star came to town to endorse the Dem candidate they would have stumbled all over each other to cover it.
To me, this is probably the most clear cut case of media manipulation and bias I have ever seen. This man is one of history's heros, a face of freedom.
Since Obama is an illegal alien, maybe we can recruit Lech Walesa to be president. Hed be far better than the current edition. Mr Walesa knows the enemy when he sees them. And he rightly sees Obama as the enemy of freedom and America.

Wow… I hope that Adam Andrzejewski wins the GOP primary and then the Governorship of Illinois. I've seen some other clips of him and he comes across great and appears to be running a good campaign. Can the GOP really shake up Illinois and take Governor and Senator? Maybe. Lots of corruption in Springfield, so I hope some more tea-party minded republicans are running for state offices and state seats to help support . THAT would be awesome!

I found out about the Tea Party the Thursday night before, as well as the fact that Lech Walesa would be there. I was able to leave work early so i could stand in 7 degree weather for 2 hours freezing my tuckus off to get a picture of Lech for my Mom. That evening to find that it wasn't reported is disgraceful. Karma is a Capital B, I look foward to it coming back to the lamestream media twofold.
Great Video!!!! I dare any progressive/socialist not to admit their is not a clear Biasness. Of course I know they will, but that video is just damning. Thank god we have cable and the internet, could you imagine if we only got our news from MSM. OMG, we would all be Obamots. But, then again the control that the MSM had from the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80's explains why we almost lost our way, hopefully with the truth getting out we will find our way back to American greatness and liberty.

has any alphabet channel really reported on Lech's speech. Some may have mentioned him, then gone off to the important stuff like which Hollywood tramp exposed herself or what the new fashion trends may be. Alphabet channels suck.

I remember when Lech Walesa was a media hero when he first stood up to the Russians. Apparently they figured he was just an ordinary politician making promises of "hope and change" he could ignore once in power. To my delight, he turned out to be the real thing. He is a real hero. Now the MSM pretend he never existed. I wish I could pretend the MSM never existed.

I would think that this visit would merit at least "Hey there's some Polish guy protesting with those teabaggers" Not even that. Anyone who listens to the MSM only without cross checking has to be brain washed. When will this charade end? MSM you should be MSS Main Stream Shams.
Not surprising. A few years ago a friend who teaches history at a top competitive university told us he's no longer shocked when students tell him they don't remember which Kennedy was president, Jack or Bobby.
IMO the media uses the word "endorse" because it implies Walesa has some influence. What they should be saying is Walesa's here in solidarity with the new right's movement away from the creeping socialism of the left in this country in the same way his solidarity movement led his country away from the strangle hold of Soviet communism.
The Polish community doesn't need the left wing media to tell them about Walesa's visit and, as the comment above points out, citizen's at large don't even know who he is. Tragic. We don't honor our real heroes, but wear pictures of mass murderers and fiends on our t-shirts.
It's a good time to start talking about altering the constitution protection of the media – open them up to slander and start pulling licenses for those that exhibit gross bias (NBC etc.)

And Reuters pulls stories about back door tax hikes to the middle class after running them until Obama found out. Well, it won't be long. The MSM will soon be a footnote in a history class. A small footnote.

The Chicago Media is part of the MSM, and their "journalists" like the rest of the MSM "journalists" are lined up on their knees waiting for a chance to brew some black tea. How on earth can you expect them to abandon their pilgrimage to cover a Polack? Now if Mr. Walesa was a Communist, then things might be different. The One would understand and approve of that.

I'm afraid I missed that the old media "missed" the Lech Walesa appearance and endorsement — I tuned out all tv news except Fox about 10 years ago. However, in the Chicago area, the Walesa story was not only covered on WLS-AM radio, he and Adam Andrzejewski were both interviewed (on Don Wade and Roma show, 5 AM to 9 AM weekdays).
Wouldn't it be ironic, if 20 years into the future, Nobel Peace prize winner and former pres of the United States, Barack Obama will be in some far off land endorsing a communist dictator.
Sheesh, I hope there won't be any more communist dictators in 20 years. After we get rid of this one, all the others will fall by the roadside.

I understand where you are coming from Don, but I wouldn't want to do anything that restricts the media from expressing free speech, no matter how biased it is, anymore than I agreed with how the current Marxist regime tried to silence Fox News by trying to marginalize them and claim they were not a real news organization. Let the battle of ideas take place in a free market and the best ideas will win, we are already seeing that in the media ratings numbers where Fox is dominating and with the death of what few liberal talk radio shows remain.

I voted this evening in Illinois, south of Springfield. Good turn out for a primary, heavy union town though. I voted for Adam A. and Pat Hughes in support of tea party politics. The pols favored by the state level machine are pretty much Daley hacks. Supposedly low turnout in the state, but that may favor the upstarts… I hope.

I forwarded the link to this story to Roe Conn, who has Ron Majors on as a regular guest (the ABC anchor in the video). If he takes the time to watch the video here, I hope he asks Ron about it the next time he's on (Majors is one of those guys who scoffs at MSM bias).

As I mentioned in a previous post, I certainly hope that the Marxist do not control our government too. I know of no instances where they have given a country back!
In a couple months, I'm moving out of the state of Illinois where, except for 4 years in the Army and 3 years in college, I've lived for 50+ years. Only once in my life have I felt better about a life-changing decision—I'm not moving, I'm escaping.
I have not much time, but I've got many useful things here, love it!
