Cross-endorsement, on the other hand, does not require a candidate to be a member of the minority party. This is obvious if you consider briefly that typically one can be registered with one's local election board as affiliated with only one party (to vote in primaries). One simply cannot register with more than one. Cross-endorsement would be a legal and logical impossibility if one had to be registered with a given party in order to be nominated by them.

Well, I hope that clears up your understanding. From now on, try to restrain yourself from commenting on matters you do not understand. It is irresponsible to offer public commentary when you simply do not comprehend the matter you are commenting on.

You are a moron. Your understanding of electoral law is fuzzy, and you make the common rightist mistake of taking association (a is related to b) for identity (a=b). So, for example, you state (correctly) that Barack Obama appeared on the NYS ballot on both the Democratic and Working Families line. But then you make the un believable statement that this means that Barack Obama is a "member" of the. Which is false. This is potentially because you simply do not understand NYS electoral law that allows for "fusion voting" and cross-endorsement. As the unhighlighted portion of the visual aid you provide makes clear, McCain/Palin appeared in three lines on the ballot - Republican, Conservative, and Independent. This does not make them "members" of these three parties, however, any more than Obama/Biden appearing on the WFP line makes them "members" of the WFP. Membership requirements vary from party to party according to their bylaws, but typically require officially "signing up" as a member of the party or registering to vote with a given party affiliation.

Democrats and Republicans... whats the difference? They are all corrupt. They are so corrupt they won't allow and independent, non-governmental committee, to investigate them. And we know the mass-media is in the tank for them. The Answer.... "TAKE OUR GOVERNMENT BACK"!!! We should all write a simple letter to all elected officials and say Thank you for your service but "NO INCUMBANT" will be reelected in 2010. I would also put in that letter the following. We as tax payers do not like our position in the pecking order. We know your alligience is to 1: You getting reelected. 2: Your party - so they will help you get reelected. 3: Getting as much PORK to send home to your state - to help get you reelected. 4: Vote the party line - because nancy peloci and harry reid told you to. 5: Try to sneak in a vote that would truely help the people once in a while - to try and get reelected. We don't like being number 5. We want to be number 1. We as voters need to make them fear us... not nancy and harry!

BTW, Ted Kennedy is STILL dead, that is, until the next election.
