Another Insult to Ronald Reagan and His Memory
by Ari DavidOf all the political figures in history, Ronald Reagan is the target of the most contempt by people on the left. Reagan, through his personality, vision and actions is the one person who has done more to undermine the flimsy ideas that liberals hold than any other.
Reagan was born in 1911 so 2011 has been a year celebrating the centennial of his birth. Many of the events commemorating the centennial have been held at the Simi Valley California, Reagan Presidential library.
A flagship event at the library for the centennial year is obviously the Republican Presidential debate scheduled for next week. It was revealing that Obama would make a bid to upstage the debate by scheduling his own “urgent” jobs speech to a joint session of congress on the same night. It revealed the Olympian level of contempt that Obama and his democrat cronies have for Reagan’s legacy and memory.
Sure, it is true that Obama may have sought simply to undermine the momentum Rick Perry and others in the GOP field have garnered against him in the last few weeks as the president has suffered political stumbles on myriad issues but there is no way that team Obama was ignorant of the bigger issue surrounding this particular GOP debate which was the specific stage and location it was being held at as well as the specific year it is being held in.
This is not the first time Obama has gone after Reagan’s legacy or family in word and deed.
Obama has made disparaging remarks about Nancy Reagan from the presidential podium before. Picture how graceful that looked. A forty-something man attacking a lady near the end of her life because he despises her deceased husbands politics. As with almost everything else Obama does, it demonstrated the total lack of class he embodies in equal measure to the amount of class the Reagans have always embodied.
One trait every totalitarian has in common is a desire to change or destroy the accurate recall of history. The left is desperately trying to do this to Reagan’s towering legacy. The ploy to undermine the GOP debate at the public house of Reagan’s memory is the totalitarians latest attempt.
I am greatly pleased that their attempt failed.

but even more despicable, obama now says he will only lay out a portion of his jobs plan at the propaganda fest in a joint session of congress. why did he make such a big deal out of going to congress, if he wasn't even going to give them his full plan, that he had supposedly been working on for over a month. this was not the move of a leader, but a petty small man.
BO is already downplaying his great message to the American people. He is losing potential voters, and this alleged speech was to put him back on top. However, his purported talk is even now being downplayed and will be stretched out over a three to four month period. To me that sounds like there is no real plan, and the trolls are scrambling to put something together to baffle the general public. How's that saying go? Ah, If I can't dazzle you with my brillence, I'll baffle you with my BS. That seems to be all he has except snarky remarks like a petulant child.
Since BO wont have a primary I would like to see him in a debate with the current Republican candidates. Even more thrilling would be to see the brat in a faceoff debate with Ron Paul or Herman cain or even Allen West. IMHO, any current candidate would wipe out the toddler.

This speech will not be about jobs. It will exclusively be about pandering to his constituents. It will be about paying off voting blocks with money in order to buy their votes. Reagan created the Dept of Veterans Affairs, the largest federal beauracracy until DHS. The VA isnt really about veterans, it's actually the federal govts largest real estate holding company. The VA owns more building space than any other dept. It also employs 300,000 workers

i seriously doubt if reagan is even in there, and if he is, they can't say anything nice. schools no longer teach history, they teach a fiction of what they want kids to think history was. so much of what i learned in school i am now finding out was a lie, and i got out of school just when reagan became president. i can't imagine they actually say anything good, or truthful about him either.

But he is becoming quite petty lately. Between this and the NASCAR thing, I think his armor(Ego.) has some cracks in it. I think he's finally realized that he isn't the loved-by-all magical being that the lamestream made him out to be during his run for office. I think he's finally seeing that not only are there citizens that do not like him, but that those citizens comprise a substantial majority. He's starting to realize that he's actually going to have to work to get reelected, and there's a very real possibility that there may be nothing to save him now.
I guess when reality moved too fast for him to dodge and got a good smack in, the realization that he's not actually immortal has him in a bit of a foul mood. I guess that would explain this latest round of grade school pettiness he's displaying.

Calling a joint session of congress so he can deliver his NON plan is going to be another big mistake by BO. I think even the dems are going to have a problem with that. I'll be curious to see if he can avoid lecturing us all. (I'm not holding my breath). Seems like his adoring advisors would start to realize that BO's popularity goes down with every speech he makes.

The issue of her stepping down from office will come up because the answers do not fit the question. I'm not sure there is any answer she can give that will effectively put the question to bed. Alaskan law opened any idiotic claim against her and by law, it had to be investigated. There is a picture of her wearing an Arctic Cat Logo shirt. That was the charge against her, she wore a logo'ed shirt! She had the death by a 1000 cuts after her and no possible way to pay for her defense (that would have been a charge against her as well).

I can't recall any other president who has attacked as many American people as BO has. He has never acted or sounded like the president of ALL of the American people. His continual expressions of disrespect for different sectors of our country incite disrespect by us for HIM.

I understand the claim and investigation, and agree the issue is lame at best. I only comment that when you make a decision in your career, it stays with you for life. This will create doubts in some, compassion in others, and defiance in a few. That stated, we are left with a myriad of "what if's" as it relates to her service. That does not change the fact she has positives and some negatives in tow. How all this will work it's way out is nothing more than a guess at this juncture. An answer, if we're going to get one, will play out in the months to come and maybe we will have some clarity.

• The civilian labor force contracted by 1.36 million jobs from October 2008 to August 2011.
• August, like so many months before it, saw NO job creation. The economy needs to grow by roughly 150,000 jobs each and every month, just to absorb new entrants to the labor force from population growth.
Meanwhile,
• The civilian labor force GREW by an average of 117,000 workers during each month the hated George W. Bush was in office. Mediocre? Maybe, but it's a heckuva lot better than his successor's record: Ever since Barry Blunder took over, that number has been SHRINKING by an average of 44,000 a month, month after miserable month.
